About: I know it’s not “just a dog”, they’re our babies. I’ll treat yours like my own, with lots of love, attention, walks and lots of cuddles too! 🐾 I’m starting my Master’s online, which means I’ll be home far more than I’m out. Your dog won’t be fitted around my day, they’ll pretty much become part of it. Study break? Walk. Need some air? Walk. Procrastinating? Probably another walk. I love having a dog wandering around the house with me, so they’ll have plenty of company and attention throughout the day. Handing your dog over to someone you barely know is scary. I know because I have one and struggle to trust anyone with him! They’re your best friend and probably the most precious little thing in your life. I’ll look after yours with the same care I’d want for my Dexter, keep you updated with pictures, and make sure they’re safe, happy, loved and having the best time while you’re away. 🐾

About: I’ve always lived with dogs. My husband and I currently share our home with two golden retrievers, both girls, one is 15 1/2 years old and the other is 8 1/2 years old. We’ve had both girls from puppies and have loved training them and sharing our lives with them. We live in a small village with the river Crouch and farmland walks on our doorstep. I’m a part time teacher but looking to retire next year so I have lots of time and love to offer any dogs who need a holiday hone As I have 2 dogs, I already have daily doggy routines in place. My dogs have access to the enclosed garden all day and enjoy our daily walks around various fields or along the seawall. Tide dependent, they also love swimming in the river. Although I work part time at school, my husband works from home so there’s usually at least one of us at home. We have a large, enclosed garden which our dogs love exploring/ sunbathing in! I would care for your pets in just the same way that I’ve always cared for my own pets. Daily walks, play and cuddles are paramount.

I regularly look after dogs for family and friends, providing everything from daily walks and feeding to overnight stays and plenty of playtime. Through this experience, I’ve learned that every dog is different, so I always adapt my care to suit their individual personality, routine and needs. I offer doggy day care, dog boarding and dog walking in the Great Wakering area. Whether your dog enjoys long countryside walks, a gentle stroll, playing in the garden or simply relaxing with company, I’ll make sure they have a happy, safe and enjoyable time. I work from home, which means your dog will have company for most of the day and won’t be left alone for long periods. My home has a fully secure garden where dogs can safely play, explore and burn off some energy. A typical day includes regular toilet breaks, walks tailored to your dog’s age and energy level, playtime, enrichment activities, plenty of opportunities to rest, and lots of love and attention. I have a real passion for dog training and enjoy continuing to expand my knowledge of canine behaviour and communication. I regularly take part in sport training with my own dog, working towards PSA titles alongside highly experienced trainers. Through this, I have the opportunity to learn from and shadow some of the most experienced people in the field, developing my understanding of dog behaviour, body language, motivation and effective training methods. I enjoy bringing this knowledge into everyday life by reinforcing good manners and basic obedience where appropriate. If there are any cues, routines or training you’d like your dog to continue practising while they’re with me, I’ll be happy to keep things consistent and follow your preferences. Every dog learns differently, and I always take the time to understand what motivates each individual dog. I understand how important routine is, so I’ll always follow your dog’s normal schedule as closely as possible, including feeding times, medication (if required), training and any house rules you’d like me to continue. Before every booking, I’ll ask about your dog’s personality, likes and dislikes, medical needs, behaviour around other dogs, and anything else that helps me provide the best possible care. Your dog’s safety and wellbeing will always come first. My home is clean, secure and dog-friendly, and I’ll supervise dogs both indoors and outside. If an emergency were ever to arise, I’d contact you immediately and seek veterinary care if needed. For dog walking, I tailor every walk to suit your dog’s individual needs, whether they enjoy a gentle stroll or a longer, more active walk. My aim is to make sure every dog gets the exercise, mental stimulation and one-to-one attention they need while staying safe and happy. I know how important it is to trust someone with your dog, so I’ll keep you updated throughout their stay with regular photos and messages, giving you complete peace of mind while you’re away. I treat every dog as if they were my own and strive to provide a genuine home-from-home experience where they feel safe, comfortable, loved and well cared for from the moment they arrive. I am able to fit walks, playtime, feeding routines and any medication needs around my daily schedule, while making sure pets have a calm and comfortable environment. I enjoy being active and going for walks, so I’m happy to provide regular exercise and enrichment to keep pets happy and stimulated. I have experience caring for family dogs and understand that every pet has their own personality, routine and needs. I’m happy to follow each owner’s instructions to help their pet feel comfortable and settled while they are in my care. I want every pet in my care to feel safe, comfortable and loved. I provide a calm home environment where pets can relax, with plenty of attention, playtime and enrichment. I understand how important it is for owners to trust the person looking after their pet, so I always follow instructions carefully and keep owners updated with photos and messages. I take pet safety seriously by making sure pets are supervised, have a secure environment, and have their individual needs respected. About: I had my own labradoodle from a puppy and have cared for friends and families pets since he passed away 8 years ago. Myself and my husband have 2 children (10 & 7) and they love playing with the animals too. We love going for walks as a family and happy for the dogs to tag along! I am currently working part time (flexible days) so am able to change my days if needed to look after your pets. I will be mainly at home during the week so can take on lots of walks/play/toilet breaks. I live in a detached house with a large fenced garden so it’s safe for animals. I don’t have any pets (just the 2 children!) and happy to just care for one at a time (or pets from the same family). I don’t have a crate but have the space for one if you wanted to provide.

Our Daily Routine at The Canine Retreat Essex 🐾 I provide a genuine home-from-home experience where your dog becomes part of our family. ❤️ A typical day will look like this: Morning 🐾 Wake up, toilet break and lots of morning cuddles! 🐾 Breakfast (following your dog’s usual feeding routine). 🐾 A walk tailored to your dog’s age, breed and energy level. Afternoon 🐾 Time to rest, play or enjoy enrichment activities such as puzzle toys, sniffing games and interactive play. 🐾 Fresh water is always available, with regular toilet breaks throughout the day. 🐾 Garden time, play and companionship. 🐾 Plenty of one-to-one attention and affection. 🐾 Quiet time for dogs who enjoy an afternoon nap. About: Hey I’m Rhianne 🙂 I grew up with animals from a very small age we always had family pets from dogs, cats, hamsters, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets and even goats at one point. My parents rescued our last two dogs, that was amazing to give them the best life after being neglected. I have lots of experience taking care of different breeds of dogs and I thoroughly enjoy looking after them and spending time with them, giving them lots of love and attention. I am very adaptable and understand each little fur baby has their own personality. I work from home so I am very flexible through out the day. I have 2x 15 minute breaks and 1 hour lunch so plenty of time to take your pets to the toilet and for walks before, during my lunch or after work. I go to the gym regularly so pets that are OK to be left for a couple of hours on their own is more suitable for me. I will send plenty of updates with photos and messages to assure you that your fur babies are safe and being well cared for. I am very attentive and ensure a high standard of care when caring for pets. I will follow all feeding, walking routines given to me and give your fur babies lots of cuddles and love. If there are specific routines with feeding, walking or requirements for pets these can be given to me to follow.
