About: I’m Kirima! Co-owner of KL Canine Collective🐾 I’ve loved dogs for as long as I can remember, and caring for animals has always been a huge part of my life. I regularly look after dogs for family and friends, providing everything from daily walks and feeding to overnight stays and plenty of playtime. Through this experience, I’ve learned that every dog is different, so I always adapt my care to suit their individual personality, routine and needs. I offer doggy day care, dog boarding and dog walking in the Great Wakering area. Whether your dog enjoys long countryside walks, a gentle stroll, playing in the garden or simply relaxing with company, I’ll make sure they have a happy, safe and enjoyable time. I work from home, which means your dog will have company for most of the day and won’t be left alone for long periods. My home has a fully secure garden where dogs can safely play, explore and burn off some energy. A typical day includes regular toilet breaks, walks tailored to your dog’s age and energy level, playtime, enrichment activities, plenty of opportunities to rest, and lots of love and attention. I have a real passion for dog training and enjoy continuing to expand my knowledge of canine behaviour and communication. I regularly take part in sport training with my own dog, working towards PSA titles alongside highly experienced trainers. Through this, I have the opportunity to learn from and shadow some of the most experienced people in the field, developing my understanding of dog behaviour, body language, motivation and effective training methods. I enjoy bringing this knowledge into everyday life by reinforcing good manners and basic obedience where appropriate. If there are any cues, routines or training you’d like your dog to continue practising while they’re with me, I’ll be happy to keep things consistent and follow your preferences. Every dog learns differently, and I always take the time to understand what motivates each individual dog. I understand how important routine is, so I’ll always follow your dog’s normal schedule as closely as possible, including feeding times, medication (if required), training and any house rules you’d like me to continue. Before every booking, I’ll ask about your dog’s personality, likes and dislikes, medical needs, behaviour around other dogs, and anything else that helps me provide the best possible care. Your dog’s safety and wellbeing will always come first. My home is clean, secure and dog-friendly, and I’ll supervise dogs both indoors and outside. If an emergency were ever to arise, I’d contact you immediately and seek veterinary care if needed. For dog walking, I tailor every walk to suit your dog’s individual needs, whether they enjoy a gentle stroll or a longer, more active walk. My aim is to make sure every dog gets the exercise, mental stimulation and one-to-one attention they need while staying safe and happy. I know how important it is to trust someone with your dog, so I’ll keep you updated throughout their stay with regular photos and messages, giving you complete peace of mind while you’re away. I treat every dog as if they were my own and strive to provide a genuine home-from-home experience where they feel safe, comfortable, loved and well cared for from the moment they arrive. I’d love the opportunity to welcome your furry family member into my home and give them the same care and attention I’d want for my own. 🐶❤️ 📍 Great Wakering I work from home, which means I can provide plenty of attention, company and supervision throughout the day. I am able to fit walks, playtime, feeding routines and any medication needs around my daily schedule, while making sure pets have a calm and comfortable environment. I enjoy being active and going for walks, so I’m happy to provide regular exercise and enrichment to keep pets happy and stimulated. I have experience caring for family dogs and understand that every pet has their own personality, routine and needs. I’m happy to follow each owner’s instructions to help their pet feel comfortable and settled while they are in my care. I want every pet in my care to feel safe, comfortable and loved. I provide a calm home environment where pets can relax, with plenty of attention, playtime and enrichment. I understand how important it is for owners to trust the person looking after their pet, so I always follow instructions carefully and keep owners updated with photos and messages. I take pet safety seriously by making sure pets are supervised, have a secure environment, and have their individual needs respected. I will treat every pet as if they were my own and make sure they receive the care, patience and affection they deserve.

“Melissa has been amazing, we were nervous to find a dog sitter as we have only left Poppy with family before but I explained all of this to Melissa and she put so much time into building Poppy’s trust before Poppy went to stay with her - we met her for walks and she even came to ours to take her for solo walks too. Soppy also built a relationship with Melissa’s dog Mabel and started to look forward to seeing them both. During her stay Melissa regularly messaged me with updates and photos or Poppy having the time of her life. About: My extended family have always had dogs and I've got experience with many breeds from great danes to yorshire terriers through all stages of their lives. From a youngster we had German shepherd's in the family and I was raised knowing that dogs are not pets, they are beloved family members with complex needs. I've volunteered at a number of animal rescues over the last two decades, driven by my love of animals and skill in dealing with a wide range of species. I'm the proud dad of a large rescue staffy x who is the centre of my world. You can be assured I will treat your companion with the utmost kindness and respect. I'm flexible depending on your dogs needs, I really enjoy long walks but if your dog prefers a slower, more sniffy walk, I'm happy to amble along at their pace. I'm at home most of the day as I don't leave my dog alone for longer than 2/3 hours. I'm an electrician by trade but am currently on an extended sabbatical. I'm in a ground floor flat with an 80 foot long, secure back garden with a 6ft fence. We have a friendly rescue dog, a young male bulldog x staffy. He's well socislised and enjoys the company of other dogs, he's neutered but particularly loves the ladies. We're a 20 minute walk from parks and the sea front. I'm trustworthy, respectful and have a recent DBS check if you require me to attend your home.

About: I am a teacher who really misses having my own dog as I live in a flat. My first dog was a beautiful rescue lurcher and ever since him I have been obsessed with dogs of all different breeds. I understand the responsibility of caring for your precious family member. As a primary teacher for over 5 years I am patient and caring and this is especially true when looking after four legged friends. I'm currently working part time so I have lots of times to play and look after your gorgeous dog. I can be flexible with times of day too. I live in a flat but I can take the dog out for many toilet breaks and there is lots of space for playing and snoozing.

About: I have a BTEC in animal care and have always owned either dogs and cats so I have experience in animal behaviour, training and general care. We have a two bedroom home with a large garden and are available to take bookings same day. Our Daily Routine at The Canine Retreat Essex 🐾 I provide a genuine home-from-home experience where your dog becomes part of our family. ❤️ A typical day will look like this: Morning 🐾 Wake up, toilet break and lots of morning cuddles! 🐾 Breakfast (following your dog’s usual feeding routine). 🐾 A walk tailored to your dog’s age, breed and energy level. Afternoon 🐾 Time to rest, play or enjoy enrichment activities such as puzzle toys, sniffing games and interactive play. 🐾 Fresh water is always available, with regular toilet breaks throughout the day. 🐾 Garden time, play and companionship. 🐾 Plenty of one-to-one attention and affection. 🐾 Quiet time for dogs who enjoy an afternoon nap. Evening 🐾 Dinner served according to your dog’s normal routine. 🐾 Family time spent relaxing in the home, with lots of cuddles and attention. 🐾 Final toilet break before settling down for a comfortable night’s sleep. As a family home with my daughter, your dog will enjoy being part of everyday family life. Every dog is treated as one of the family, and I always ensure they feel safe, comfortable and loved throughout their stay. I will provide regular photo and video updates, so you can relax knowing your dog is happy, settled and enjoying their holiday too! 🐾 My home is kept clean and tidy, our Labrador does shed so regular hoovering is required along with any other shedding dogs we may have!

About: I have grown up with a rescue dog who started off not loving other dogs, but now thrives living with my parents. I now have a larger than life Newfoundland x Poodle crossbreed who is the loveliest boy. I pride myself on working on positive reinforcement with dogs, rather than punishing bad behaviour. I have experience with toy sized dogs, right up to my 40kg baby that I have now! Puppy training I really enjoyed, right up to adult training now! I work from home full time, so your pet will never be left alone! I take my dog out for a nice long walk at least once a day, so the same would be expected for your pup too! Your pet will be treated as my own. We have a fully fenced garden your dog can run around in, as well as cosy sofas they can cuddle up on.

About: I am a friendly animals loving person. My home has a nice long garden that would make a lovely holiday destination for all shapes and sizes of doggie visitor, as patio door leads directly to my fully fenced lawn. There are lovely seaside and country side walks nearby and I am keen to get out and about with all my furry friends. I take my visitors - dogs for a long 1-2 hours walks at least twice a day to keep them amused and happy. I always take water for dogs on my walks making sure they are hydrated well. I am an empathetic, genuine animal lover and create the perfect home for your pet to relax and enjoy their holiday as much as you! Work three days a week and a nurse meaning got all other days to accommodate all pets needs during any time of the day. I am flexible with my time and can be around most of the day. I have secure 6 feet's fencing in my garden that keeps your pets safe and they will not be able to escaped from the garden.
