“Elicia and Jack looked after our 2 nervous cats for 2 days. They followed all our instructions and sent feedback and some great photos. Whilst they were sensitive and thoughtful to their needs, they managed to begin winning them over and started bonding with them. I feel very reassured to have Elicia and Jack as our go to cat support!”

“Ashley is reliable and really cares about our cat's well being. He keeps us informed. Even our grumpy old cat comes to him for a stroke which is unusual. I'd recommend Ashley if you need a pet sitter”

“Marissa was fabulous, She looked after our 2 cats and the fish gave us daily updates. It’s such an easy process. We met her the week before, for a last minute holiday. She put us at ease straight away. Highly recommend! ”

“We had only had our puppy for 2 days at 8 weeks old. We booked Alyss for drop in visits in the morning while we were at work so she wasn't on her own longer than 2 hours. Coco was as good as gold and absolutely loved Alyss who has helped our puppy immensely not to feel anxious about being alone for a couple of hours until we m home from work. Highly recommend thank you Alyss Coco sends her love xx”

About: I am an equine vet and am very interested in canine behaviour, so you can be reassured that your pets will be in the safest hands, with additional veterinary knowledge. This also means that I am more than happy to take on any pets with additional needs - medications, inhailers, injections etc. I have taken responsibility for pets of family/friends since I was young and have always treated them as I would my own. I have been pet sitting for 3 years and love the companionship, long walks, and puppy cuddles! I do now have my own dog who is a 10 month old toy poodle. She is very well behaved and fully house trained etc, but means that I will only be able to pet sit for if you would be open to me bringing her along! I am currently working full time, so can only gaurantee weekends. However, I am often able to pop in during weekdays, and do occasionally have fridays off, so please enquire if you would be interested and I can let you know my availability for your dates. Currently I am only able to offer pet sitting services where I would come to your home. I find this often works better for the animals as they feel more safe and comfortbale in their home environment. I am always clean and tidy and would leave your house as I find it. I do have my own dog, who would also come with me. She is a very friendly 8 month old toy poodle, who is very well behaved and fully house trained etc, but means that we will only be able to accept dog friendly pets!
“Alyce is so understanding and helped with a last minute booking, absolutely life saver!! Kept me feeling at ease knowing that Bronson was okay! She really understands Bronson and his way of showing love Thank you so much for everything :)”

About: I’ve been on Trustedhousesitters for almost a year now and have had many sits with many dog breeds. Breeds includes, Labrador’s, Huskeys, Dalmatian’s, Corgis, and will continue to look after more! I have currently been made redundant, and I currently have a lot of free time on my hands. Spending time with dogs is fantastic and takes stress off. I tend to walk dogs at least twice a day, and throughout the day if they look bored, I will play with them and run around in the garden.

About: I have a Pet Sitting and Dog Walking Diploma - CPD certified - I am insured and I have a DBS check. I take caring for pets very seriously and provide them with safety, care and affection while you're away. I am a uni student, so I have plenty of time to look after your pets outside of my studies. I am quite flexible. I am able to look after pets on some weekdays, evenings and weekends, and I am available full-time outside of term time. Due to my flat's pet restrictions, I only provide pet care services in my clients' homes, such as house sitting and home visits. This also helps your pets feel more at ease as they remain in a familiar environment while you are away.

About: I am currently transitioning from a professional corporate career to dedicate myself fully to my passion for canine care. As a mother and a lifelong dog owner, I understand that your dog is a cherished member of your family. I bring a high level of organisation, reliability, and professional integrity to my work, ensuring your pet is safe and well cared for while you are away. My experience is built on years of personal ownership and caring for the pets of friends and family. I am experienced with a wide range of breeds, but I have a particular love for Jack Russell Terriers. I enjoy their spirited personalities and the unique energy they bring, and I am very comfortable managing the "terrier attitude" with patience and consistency. To ensure I provide the best possible care, I am currently studying for my Level 3 in K9 Care and Welfare (VTQ). I believe that a consistent, predictable routine is essential for a dog's well being. During a typical home visit or walk from your home, I start with a thorough safety check of your dog’s lead and harness. We will head out to local spots for exercise and mental stimulation. After our walk, I ensure paws are wiped, ticks are checked for, and fresh water is provided. If I am sitting at your home, I strictly follow your dog's feeding, walking and garden schedule to keep their stress levels low. Your dog’s safety and your home's security are my absolute priorities. Vetted and Insured: I am fully DBS checked and operate with comprehensive pet-sitting insurance. Emergency Prepared: I am VTQ K9 First Aid trained (and I carry a pet specific first aid kit on all walks. I pride myself on clear, professional communication and will provide you with regular photos and updates throughout our time together so you have total peace of mind. Pet care is a core part of my daily routine, and I’ve structured my day to ensure I’m available when dogs need me most. I dedicate two primary blocks of time to my furry clients: 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM for morning and midday exercise, and 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM for late afternoon walks. By keeping these windows consistent, I can provide reliable, on time visits that fit perfectly around my family commitments while ensuring your pup stays active and happy throughout the day. I believe trust is built through professional knowledge and genuine care. As a current student of the Level 3 Canine Care and Welfare qualification, I bring an academic understanding of dog behaviour and welfare to every walk. This helps me read body language effectively, ensuring your dog is always comfortable, happy, and stress free in my care. Your pet’s safety is my absolute priority: Emergency Preparedness: I am VTQ First Aid trained (in-person), meaning I have the practical skills to handle unexpected situations calmly and effectively. Home Security: I treat your home with the utmost respect, following all security protocols, ensuring gates are locked, and double-checking that your dog is settled and hydrated before I depart. Attentive Walking: I maintain full focus on your dog during our time together, staying alert to the environment and avoiding potential hazards or stressful encounters. I provide detailed updates and photos after every session, so you can have total peace of mind knowing your pup is in the hands of someone who truly understands and prioritises their well being.

“I left wrong key of property and Jenny patiently helped me to sort out this problem by going somewhere else to collect a second key even though it passed our agreed 30 min booking. I’m very thankful for that! She kept me updated on every visit by photos and texts and was always on time.”

About: Hi! We’re Betül, Yavuz Alp, and Freud 🐾 We moved to the UK from Turkey three years ago with our beloved dog, Freud. We were lucky enough to meet him when he was a 2-year-old stray, and he has now been part of our family for five wonderful years. Since then, he has travelled with us to many places and is at the heart of our home. We live in a house with a secure, fully fenced garden where Freud spends most of his day enjoying the outdoors. I work Monday to Thursday, 9am–5pm, in Rayleigh, while my husband works from home full-time. During the summer, you’ll usually find him working from the garden rather than his upstairs office! At weekends, we love exploring local woodland walks such as Belfairs and Hockley Woods. Weekdays are a little quieter, but the garden is always full of games, enrichment activities, and plenty of attention. We also enjoy shorter evening walks after work. Freud is a friendly, easy-going dog of around 10kg. He gets on well with dogs of a similar size and enjoys having canine company. As with many smaller dogs, he can be a little cautious around much larger breeds, so we always make introductions thoughtfully. Guest dogs are welcome throughout our home and are free to relax on the sofas or beds if that’s what they’re used to. We simply ask that they are toilet trained and comfortable living in a home environment. One of the reasons I joined Rover is that I would love to adopt another dog one day, but for now I need to prioritise my finances and health. Looking after other wonderful dogs seemed like the perfect compromise—and Freud certainly won’t complain about making new friends! If you have any questions, we’d love to hear from you. Betül, Yavuz Alp & Freud 🐶 We are living in a house with a fenced garden where Freud spends most of his day. I am working Monday to Thursday 9to5 in an office in Rayleigh. On the other hand my husband is working from home and even though he has an office upstairs his main base is garden especially in Summer. We mostly spend our weekends with a long walk in the woods around, such as Belfairs and Hockley. We are a bit lazy during weekdays but garden is full of games. We tend to have 15 to 30 minutes short walks to the shops etc after 6 pm during weekdays. Freud is friendly with the dogs his size. He can be a bit protective of himself with bigger dogs with a lot of barking and hiding behind us😂 We have a crate which is large enough for Freud to move if needed, but not preferred.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
