About: I’ve had dogs all my life so am very experienced when it comes to long walks in the woods, on poo patrol or just having cuddles on the sofa. We no longer have a family dog due to her being very poorly and miss her dearly so being able to look after other dogs will help us fill that void. I am a self employed cleaner so am able to schedule around looking after your pup! Am available for weekend boarding and the occasional weekday sleepovers. We have a nice size garden which is fenced and dog friendly. My children used to play ball games with our family dog all the time come rain or shine.

“I'm very pleased with the care my cats had while I was away, Jason and his daughter we very reliable, sent pics and made things easier for me as my cats are newly together. Thank you ”

About: Hi, I'm a passionate dog lover and proud parent to Bruno, my friendly 2.5-year-old Staffy! I offer a warm, safe, and fun home-away-from-home where your dog will be treated like family. I am completely confident managing dogs of all sizes on walks—whether they need structured on-lead guidance or love running free off-lead. Expect plenty of playtime, belly rubs, and regular photo updates while your pup is in my care! Bruno and I love making new friends! Pet care fits perfectly into our daily routine of fun walks, playful zoomies, and plenty of cozy couch snuggles. I offer a safe, trustworthy environment with regular updates. Your pup will enjoy a secure home, tailored routines, and the same love I give Bruno.
About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I cannot imagine my life without them. Growing up, my family had cats, hamsters, and guinea pigs before I finally convinced my parents to let me have my beautiful Labrador, Reuben. Since then, my love for animals has only grown. I’ve been trusted by friends, family and neighbours to care for their pets since I was around 11 years old, and I love spending time with animals. Whether it’s a puppy bursting with energy or an older dog who prefers a slower pace. I am happy to adapt to their personalities and routines. I am experienced in caring for dogs from 8-week old puppies through to frail senior dogs, including administering medication when needed. I know that every pet is different, so I will always take the time to make sure they feel safe, comfortable and well looked after. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s care, and I treat every animal with the same kindness, patience and attention that I’d want for my own. I have a flexible routine that allows me to offer daytime pet visits and dog walks throughout the week. I carefully schedule bookings around my own dogs needs to ensure that I can give every pet my full attention and provide reliable, unhurried care. As I’m currently only offering pet visits and dog walks, I will be caring for your pet in the environment they know and feel most comfortable in- their own home. I understand how important it is to trust someone with both your pet and your home. I will always follow your instructions carefully, whether that’s feeding routines, administering medication, refreshing water or making sure your pet gets the exercise, playtime or quiet company they need. Your pet’s safety and wellbeing will always come first. I’ll make sure doors, gates and windows are secure, keep walks safe and suited to your dogs needs, and treat your home with the same care and respect as I would my own. I will also keep you updated with messages and photos after each visit, so you can relax knowing your pet is happy, safe and well looked after.
About: I’ve always lived with dogs - childhood pets, dog sitting when studying and now having my own dogs. Currently we have a young setter whom we trained from a puppy. I have experience in looking after a range of dogs but the majority of my experience is with spaniels (my previous dog was a springer spaniel), retrievers and Labrador’s and their needs. I’m used to high energy dogs who need lots of walking and game playing. I have experienced first hand the transformation in a dog once it has sufficient exercise and stimulation, so will always look to ensure that your dog has enough walking and play. Our setter has suffered from separation anxiety, so I very aware of the challenges of this & the resulting behaviour. We have worked hard to overcome this & with the right routine in place can now leave him for a couple of hours. We are also working very hard with his recall & making progress, I have honestly found training a ongoing personal achievement and has strengthened our bond hugely. With active dogs, in and out of puddles etc. I am very aware regular brushing is essential to keep their coat untangled and clean. Personally I think this is a lovely way to spent sometime with your dog when they are calm in the evening and happy to spend time with your dog in this way. I’m work from home part time supporting my partners carpentry business. I have two children (4&7) so have school runs twice a day. I’m around the majority of the day otherwise. I walk our dog after school drop off for at least an hour, we go to local open spaces or drive to the country parks. I will take him for another shorter walk either before pick up or later in the day once my partner is home. I'm happy to take additional walks if this is needed for your dog or play scent games in the house & when I'm home they are always free to go in the garden. I have a two year old friendly neutered male English Setter in my home. He likes all dogs and if they are energetic he will play with them. If they are senior he respects this and is gentle. I walk with him for over an hour a day and often go for runs. I can walk other dogs with or without him. If your dog was in our home, they would be in the same space as him on the ground floor and in the garden. Dogs are not allowed upstairs in the bedrooms but provide beds in each room, so they are able to to be with me throughout the day & are not left alone. Whilst the dog will never be left alone around the children (and my children have been around dogs all their lives), it will need to be happy to be in a family environment. Our setter (like a Labrador) is happy to try and eat anything! During mealtimes, our dog and any visiting dogs will be put in a different room. He is a counter surfer and so surfaces and tables are clear of food aside from mealtimes, so they do not get anything that might upset their tummies. I'm very vigilant on keeping any non dog friendly foods well away (raisins, chocolate etc.)
About: I’ve had family dogs for many years, and since purchasing my own property, I have looked after friends and family pets on a regular basis which includes walks, dog sitting and over night stays. I am now been working with Rover for 18 months and loved every second of it! Check out my reviews for my information I work from home 5 days a week with a very relax working schedule therefore will be able to take your dog on day walks and play time when needed. I own my flat in Rochester which it is very close to a huge park and lots of lovely walking routes. I have enough space to crate your pet if necessary.
About: I've grown up with dogs, my dog as a teen was my best friend. We went everywhere together and she was always by my side, so I truly know how much a dog becomes part of a family and how much they mean to you. I've also had multiple rescue cats over 20 years, my current cat i found at 6 weeks old and hes now 10. Im always nervous to leave him so completely understand if you are too. 4 years ago I started looking after other people's dogs and soon gained regular dog sitting. I also took on 2 dogs as a temporary foster care while the owner was unwell. Taking care of dogs isn't just a job, it's a passion. At the moment im at home so can provide care for your pets majority of the day. Unfortunately due to having an elderly cat i can't accommodate any animals in my own home, but im more than happy to pet sit in the pets own home. I also have 2 children who loves animals just as much as i do, they've been taught how to take care of animals and know how to respect an animals boundaries. I currently have availability between 9 and 2 on weekdays without my children but if your pets are good with kids then these hours can be extended later and during weekends. My children absolutely adore animals and know how to care for them. Unfortunately due to having an elderly cat, I can't accept dogs into my home. I will follow any routine that your pet needs in your home, follow any guidance on how your dog is walked, personalities, etc. And I will take care of them just like I would my own.
“Nick is a great minder for my Nancy, after his visit she is ver chilled and calm. Obviously has a way with her, I’m very happy and will use Nick again. Very happy with looking after my Nancy”

About: I have over five and a half years of hands-on experience caring for cats and dogs, both in my own home and in owners’ homes. I come from a strong rescue background; we cared for over 30 cats at a time, rehomed cats internationally, and regularly rescued cats from the streets. For more than two years, I personally managed to feed almost 50–60 stray cats every evening, ensuring food, clean water, hygiene, and regular monitoring of their health and wellbeing with a friend's help, who was providing food. This taught me responsibility, consistency, and deep compassion for animals. I have also provided trusted in-home pet sitting for many families. Owners regularly chose me when travelling because they wanted their pets to stay comfortable in their own environment. I stayed in their homes for short and long periods, caring for cats and dogs, following routines, administering food, walking dogs, playing, and providing companionship. I always send daily photo and video updates so owners feel reassured and connected. I understand how emotionally difficult it can be to leave a pet behind, and I take that trust very seriously. I am calm, patient, observant, and genuinely passionate about animal welfare. My goal is to give pets love, safety, routine, and comfort, and to give owners complete peace of mind. I’m a university student with morning classes on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays. I’m free most evenings and other days, flexible, reliable, and always prioritise pets’ safety. I had many cats back home and took care of the dogs of my neighbors and people from social media. I follow each pet’s routine exactly, learn their food, walks, and habits beforehand, arrive on time, and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved.
About: With over a decade of hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes, I bring passion, patience, and genuine love for animals to every visit. From playful walks and cuddles to meal times and cozy snuggles, I treat every pet as if they were my own. Whether it’s housesitting for friends, family, or through trusted pet services, I’ve built a reputation as a responsible, reliable, and attentive caregiver who truly understands the unique personality and needs of each animal. Your pet’s happiness and safety are my top priority. I’ll keep tails wagging, purrs flowing, and owners at ease knowing their furry friends are in caring, capable hands. I'm self-employed running my own coaching business from home and have full flexibility and autonomy of my diary. I can work remotely from anywhere and currently, only have a handful of regular, commited client hours to cater for. This flexibility means I can be on hand to deliver attentive, dedicated time, focus and care to your pets. I love caring for pets in the comfort of their own home, creating a safe, calm, and happy environment where they feel completely at ease. I always respect each pet’s space and boundaries, paying close attention to their body language so I can respond to their unique personalities, knowing whether they’re in the mood for play, cuddles, or some quiet time. I stick to their usual routines for feeding, walks, and enrichment for minimum disruption to them and helping them feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. From keeping their home safe and tidy to giving them gentle attention and companionship, my goal is to build trust and make every pet feel loved, happy, and cared for.
About: I've been around animals my whole life and currently share my home with my own Labrador and Cavapoo, so I understand first-hand what different breeds and sizes need day to day, from a Lab's energy to a Cavapoo's smaller size and routine. Friends and family have always trusted me with their pets, whether that's a quick check-in or a full house sit while they're away, and I know how much of a difference it makes for a pet to stay in their own home with their own routine rather than being uprooted. I have real experience with pets who need a bit more patience, including anxious or reactive dogs who need a calm, steady presence and clear boundaries rather than pressure. I'm comfortable reading body language and adjusting my approach so nervous pets feel safe rather than overwhelmed. I'm also confident with puppies and kittens, from basic house training and crate routines to gentle socialisation, and equally experienced with senior pets, including administering medication, managing mobility issues and keeping an eye out for changes that owners should know about. Whether it's a drop-in visit or a full house sit, you can expect close attention, honest updates and a pet who's genuinely cared for in the comfort of their own home. I'm flexible with timing and always aim to follow your pet's usual routine as closely as possible. I offer morning, afternoon and evening drop-in visits, as well as overnight house sitting. I confirm exact visit times in advance and keep them consistent throughout the booking, which helps cats and dogs alike feel settled and secure, especially those who rely on a predictable routine. Your pet's safety and comfort are always my top priority. I follow all instructions exactly as provided and make sure doors, windows, gates and feeding areas are secure at all times. I maintain a calm, respectful presence in your home so your pet can stay in a familiar, stress-free environment rather than being uprooted. I also send regular updates so you always know how things are going while you're away.

“I'm very happy I found Lesley to look after my Princess Jazz when I'm away. Jazzy lost her brother and she's grieving, she doesn't like visitors much but Lesley was able to feed her from her hand the first time they met. I was amazed.”

Pet owners share their Rover experiences - Medway
Carrie-Anne looked after our cat Sid. We received daily reports on Sid and we received pictures which really helped us to know he was OK. Sid isn't keen on strangers so it was lovely to see him interacting. We have already booked her again for our next holiday.
Angela looked after our 4 cats while we were away for the night. As always they loved her, I have a strange sensation that they would be happy if she came and feed them every day! Updates showing our darlings not missing us at all but enjoying tickles from her. It's true that cats do not bite the hands that feed them. I cannot recommend Angela highly enough, this is our third booking with her and every time we go away know they will be loved. Thank you A
Maria is an absolutely perfect cat sitter, communicating well before and during our holiday, sending daily WhatsApp updates with photos and videos. My cats are quite shy but Maria worked hard with them, grooming and setting aside playtime to earn their trust and they were very happy when we got home. We have already rebooked knowing that the cats will be safe and happy.
Ross was absolutely fantastic with bonnie showing the highest level of care taking all of Bonnie's needs into consideration. His communication with fantastic and he really does care about the animals who he visits. I can't recommend Ross enough and I will definitely be using him again in the future.

Melissa was fantastic, we booked her for drop in visits for our two sphynx cats whilst we went away, super friendly and caring, which is so reassuring when you are away from your pets knowing they are in good hands. Highly recommend Melissa, and thank you so much!!

Thank you so much for taking such care of Lily for us over the weekend. Lots of lovely updates and pictures for us to enjoy and feel at ease knowing she was all ok. And an extra thank you for being so accommodating and extending the booking as we were worried about getting stuck in traffic. 🫶🫶

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
