“This is the second time we have asked Susan to visit our cats whilst we are away. Susan was communicative and visited at the agreed times. She shared updates and photos/videos of our cats. We are very pleased with her service and will book her again.”

“Thank you Amy for taking such good care of Bailey. Amy sent updates after each visit to see Bailey and let me know how he was and what fun they were having. I could see he was happy and I recommend Amy to look after your pets so you can enjoy your day away from them without any worries whatsoever.”

“Michael looked after our cat and dog for a week and kept us constantly updated with photos and evaluations of their wellbeing. Despite being quite shy around strangers, they took to him immediately and Michael did a super job in making sure they didn't miss us too much while we were away. Highly recommend him to anyone looking for a sitter, especially in mixed pet and temperament households.”

“Becky was absolutely fantastic with my puppy. She was more than happy to continue the same training we were, along with playtime and lots of cuddles. My puppy loves her! Would really recommend her to anyone!”

“Tilly has been absolutely wonderful with our puppy Birdie. Birdie was a huge fan of her, and Tilly always sent lovely updates on their time together. I would 100% recommend you book with her if you are thinking about it - you won’t regret it!”

“Ben is great. Really amenable to our request and really seemed to enjoy looking after our cat. If I could give 6 stars I would. Will absolutely be asking him to look after Todd when we go away again.”

“I have never left my fur babies before with anyone apart from family. To put into context I have a four cats all with their own personalities and needs. I could not recommend Tori enough. She clearly loves animals and cares for them like her own. My cats are normally quite anxious with new faces but they have completely taken to Tori and I can tell how at ease they were with her being around especially given their parents were away. It’s has been so reassuring to know they have been in such safe hands this whole time. Thank you Tori!!!”

“Barbara took care of our little dog and 2 indoor cats while we were away. She is so thoughtful and responsible. We appreciated the care she took to meet with us and our pets before the actual date of our trip. Barbara was kind to send us updates and photos while we were away. She was everything we were hoping for. We are very happy to have found a wonderful pet sitter!”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs since I was 7, and they’ve always been part of my family. I currently have a 2-year-old dog named Toby, so I understand the daily joys and responsibilities of caring for pets. Friends, family, and neighbours have trusted me for years to walk, play with, feed, and love their dogs as if they were my own. I have experience looking after dogs with health complications and am confident in providing medicine when needed. I’ve also trained all of my family’s dogs in the basics, from sit and stay to good leash manners. My whole family are massive animal lovers, and over the years we’ve had everything from goats and chickens to cats and more – so I’m comfortable and confident caring for a wide range of animals. As my partner works shifts, I have a lot of flexible free time – and I’d love to spend it walking, cuddling, and playing with your dogs. My partner and I absolutely love animals - we are the type of people to take treats for stray cats and dogs whilst on holiday. My dream is to open up my own doggy day care! I’m about most weekends and flexible during the week depending on the days I’m working in London. If you would like to meet before booking, I am happy to do so! I’ll likely have Toby with me so your doggo’s will have great company with us both! I’m a homeowner of a small house with a fenced garden in the by the Chelmsford bus and the train station - I’m walking distance to Bunny walks, Central and Admiral park. We also often go to Hylands for walks. I always prioritise your pet’s safety, whether in my home or yours, and follow any instructions you provide. I’m experienced with dogs of all ages, including those with medical needs, and can administer medication confidently. Any questions let me know!
“I would definitely recommend Samantha. She is trustworthy and reliable, and my cats liked her right away during our meet & greet! Even though we have three cats, she took wonderful care of them. She kept us updated with photos and messages on every visit, which made us feel at ease while we were away. Thank you so much, Sam! ♥️”

The back doors are open all day for your dogs to go to the toilet when they like and walk/play around freely! This is a very loving and caring home and we will care for your pet like it’s our own .
“Tia has been great. Milo took to her instantly and she’s been everything we were after - responsive, friendly and we get pictures of Milo living his best life. Would defs recommend.”

About: I've had dogs of varying breeds my whole life, and so I'm comfortable looking after any dog. I regularly look after dogs for friends and family with the help of my friendly Cavapoo, Nellie. I treat all dogs like I would my own, with full access to the house and garden and a lot of love. I love walking and so am always keen to exercise dogs and give them a rewarding day. I work from home three days a week (Tues/Weds/Thurs) and so can be flexible throughout the week as well as on weekends. Dogs fit into our lives seemlessly and so we are always happy to have them in the house. I was really worried about leaving my elderly cat but Natasha really made me feel at ease. She was fantastic with my cat who is sometimes quite shy but she won her trust really quickly. My cat isn’t even that comfortable with my in laws feeding her but she seemed to love Natasha from the photos received. I would highly recommend her and will def be using her again

Ben & Gabby are fantastic! They took great care of our cat Niko. They had one drop in visit a day, during which they gave our cat lots of attention, pets and play time. They kept us updated with Rover cards, pictures & videos. Highly recommend! ⭐️ it's a shame we've found them so late, but as now we're moving to a different city this unfortunately was our first and last time x thank you so much!!

Thank you Amy for taking such good care of Bailey. Amy sent updates after each visit to see Bailey and let me know how he was and what fun they were having. I could see he was happy and I recommend Amy to look after your pets so you can enjoy your day away from them without any worries whatsoever.

Michael looked after our cat and dog for a week and kept us constantly updated with photos and evaluations of their wellbeing. Despite being quite shy around strangers, they took to him immediately and Michael did a super job in making sure they didn't miss us too much while we were away. Highly recommend him to anyone looking for a sitter, especially in mixed pet and temperament households.

Laura took fantastic care of our cats and our home while we were away. She sent us regular updates and photos, which really gave us peace of mind. She followed our instructions perfectly and left everything in order. Will certainly be calling her again the next time we need a cat sitter. Highly recommended!

Giusi was the best cat sitter you could ask for - she sends really thorough updates and I just know she gave our cat lots of fuss and love when she visited. I wouldn't hesitate to book her again and if you're looking for peace of mind when you're away for your cat, book Giusi! A cat lover through and through.

Veselina was amazing! We were at complete ease on holiday knowing that the fur babies were being well looked after. We got regular updates and could see from the pictures how happy the cats were in Veselina’s care. So many both relaxed and playful pictures! Have already said we would love to book her again in the future.

Susan was absolutely amazing looking after my dog Coco for 5 days. From the moment we met her, it was clear she genuinely cares about animals and takes her role very seriously. She kept me updated every day with messages and photos, which gave me great peace of mind while I was away. Coco looked happy, relaxed, and very well cared for the whole time. Susan is reliable, professional, and clearly has a natural connection with dogs. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy dog walker or pet sitter. Thank you again, Susan — Coco can’t wait to see you again! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Harika was great. Super quick with replies, really helpful, and our cat loved her. I’ve been feeding this cat for years and never once got that level of enthusiasm. Clearly Harika has some kind of cat magic. Would 100% ask her again (even if my ego may never recover).

Madison did a fantastic job of looking after our dog, Buddy, while we went away for a few days. He is a large rescue dog and Madison seemed really confident handling him and understood his body language well. She kept us updated with photos and videos to put our minds at ease too. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dog sitter or walker.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm.
