“Megan looked after Rupert for us (6 month lab) on his first day of doggy daycare. Megan kept us well updated throughout the day and made us feel confident and comfortable that he would be safe, looked after, loved, and have a good time with her and the other dogs staying as well. Also, the flexible drop off and pickup times are brill especially when commuting into London. We'd very much recommend Megan!”

“Gary quickly bonded with our cocker spaniel. She loves sniffing and he let her explore her surroundings so she settled in well. She enjoyed a walk and then relaxed at home. Gary clearly has a way with dogs that makes them feel at home and is very thoughtful. I would have no hesitation recommending him to others.”

“We couldn’t be happier with the care Peppa received! We had a great gut feeling about them right away—they were friendly, genuinely caring, and brilliant at understanding the dog's needs and going at her pace. Communication was fantastic with regular updates, and arranging everything was super easy. Wonderful people, and we’ll definitely be booking again!”

About: I have taken care of all types of dogs since I was little. I have personally owned small - medium dogs, whilst also caring for my partners large/giant dogs. I have trained puppies basic skills and recall. I have also looked after cats for family members previously. I have a love for all animals, big or small and would love to provide a service your pet requires. I currently work shift patterns so each week my availability will change. However, with regular time off, I am able to accommodate your pets needs. I have a fenced, large read garden to accommodate any and all of your pets needs. I do not currently have any pets within the home. I do not have any children within the home and only live with my partner.
About: I have cared for cats and dogs for many years, as well as other animals including guinea pigs, hamsters, tortoises. I am a kind, caring animal lover that is reliable and trustworthy. I have owned a Labrador for many years and currently have our family cat Winnie who we adore. I appreciate the importance of having trust in someone to look after your pet, they are part of the family therefore getting the best care is vital. We have had a cat sitter for some time now for our cat and fully appreciate the reassurance we feel whilst on holiday having someone reliable! I work as a therapist in a school and I am looking for Friday animal sits/ dog walks in my local area as well as all holidays. Some weekends I am available too. For the most part of the week I work in a school, however every Friday and school holidays I work with animals in my local area. It's something I love as I can either animal sit in your home/dog walk alone or with my little girls depending on the family/pet requirements. I prefer to work from 9am until 2pm every Friday. I am flexible during the school holidays and some weekends. I feel calm and relaxed with animals and I see my job as such a pleasure. I prefer to care for your animals in your home. I am respectful of your home and your rules. I will always provide pictures of your pets if you wish with notes of the visit and how it has gone. I will provide details of timings/how much your cat/animal has eaten and behaviour of your animal. If I am a good fit with your family/pet we can discuss this on our initial visit. I hold all appropriate insurances/questionnaires to complete on initial visit. I will ensure to take your pet to the vet if they become unwell or injured. More details when we meet in person.☺️
“Our dog Dee Dee has had regular daycare visits with Katie and Jake and she is always so relaxed and happy as soon as we arrive. We get plenty of updates and photos and know that she will have a lovely time.”

“Merci beaucoup Anna ! Première expérience sur Roger et celle ci est bien réussi ! Anna a bien pris soin de Scott. Il faisait très chaud, plus de 30 degrés et elle s’est bien assurée qu’il soit au frais toute la journée”

“What superstars Sean & Jacy were. Took my girl in last minute, they were accommodating to everything I mentioned as this is all new to her, and she didn’t get the greatest start in life. They socialised her with other dogs and only had great things to say about her. Very happy and will be sending her back no doubt!”

About: I have loved cats and dogs since I was a child but only when settled in my own home after university did I feel settled enough to start to care for my own cats and dogs. About: I understand that caring for animals means exercise and interaction, as well as a feeling of security. I can promise all three at my Maidstone home. I have a hybrid role, meaning I'm typically at home three days a week. My wife works part-time hours and returns home around 2pm each day. We have two sons, one is away at uni, the other is going into Year 11. However, the only people in my home who will be caring for animal visitors will be myself with assistance from my wife Dorota. We have a fenced garden and a number of lovely walks near Tovil, just a few minutes from our doorstep. I have transport too so can visit your home to check/feed/walk your cat or dog.

“Charlotte has been absolutely fantastic throughout the entire process of providing our first day care for Teddy. Charlotte & her family are so lovely and welcoming and Teddy seems to have had a great time. She has been so helpful and accommodating throughout and we feel very lucky to have found her. We were regularly updated with photos of Teddy enjoying himself too which was fab to know he was having fun & settled in his new surroundings. We are looking forward to his next visit.”

Megan took great care of our Harry at very short notice! He was a very happy boy when he got home, and as a naturally nervous dog this was a great sign ☺️ Plenty of pictures throughout the day as well - I would highly recommend and would send Harry here to stay again for sure! Thanks so much x

Moose had the absolute best day with Nicola! He is so happy and absolutely finished from all the playing. Really appreciate the pics and updates throughout the day. Thank you Nicola for giving Moose a home away from home where I know he is cared for as much as we do.

Ben was doing dog duty today when i dropped off Beetle my foster dog . I was quite stressed as never left him with anyone before at a different house. Ben was very calm with him and spent time just letting him get used to the new surroundings. I had update and photos during the day, and was relieved to see he was fine and having fun He will be boarding there for 2 nights after Christmaa which will be much better for us now he has had his playday and was a happy boy on pick up time

Mark is so great, he always treat Frank to nice walks and cuddles, and makes Frank feel really comfortable. We’ve used Mark several times now and feel like we can easily trust him to take good care of Frank, and be a good communicator with us throughout the process :)

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
