“Gabriele is absolutely fantastic! My dog instantly connected with her, which is no small feat given how clingy and attention-loving he is. She went above and beyond, even picking him up and dropping him off, making the entire process seamless. After she left, he stood by the door and whined a little, clearly missing her already, a rare reaction for him! It’s evident she has a natural gift with animals and gave him all the love and attention he craves. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and will definitely book with her again. Highly recommend!”

“I was nervous to leave Pluto, he is our baby and not used to being with more than one dog. Megan understood my worries and reassured me by keeping me updated with lots of pictures 😊 Pluto seemed very happy and had lots of cuddles! Thank you x”

“Charlotte has been absolutely fantastic throughout the entire process of providing our first day care for Teddy. Charlotte & her family are so lovely and welcoming and Teddy seems to have had a great time. She has been so helpful and accommodating throughout and we feel very lucky to have found her. We were regularly updated with photos of Teddy enjoying himself too which was fab to know he was having fun & settled in his new surroundings. We are looking forward to his next visit.”

About: Dogs have always been a wonderful part of my life from a very young age. As a family our beautiful pets included Poodles, Yorkies and King Charles Spaniels. My own lovely old Jackadoodle passed away aged 16 over a year ago now but I have continued to care for all sorts of other little ones, Chihuahuas, Dachshunds and Frenchies, I love them all! I have plenty of experience in caring for elderly seniors as well as youngsters. As an experienced sitter, I offer excellent care to small breeds who will enjoy companionship, naps on the sofa, gentle walks and playtimes. My home set up is best suited to smaller dogs that enjoy a calm, peaceful and cosy environment. I provide kind, gentle and patient care, lovely walks, fun playtimes and plenty of cuddles on the sofa. I know that dogs are family, precious and loved. I have a large fully enclosed dog friendly garden with lots of trees, bushes and different areas for leg stretches, sniffs, playtimes, snoozing in the sunshine and regular toilet breaks. I never leave dogs unsupervised in the garden and I’m happy to use a lead if your dog is elderly, unsteady or particularly tiny for extra peace of mind. There are plenty of dog friendly walks on my doorstep for your dog to enjoy while they stay with me. Great for short walks for old legs or longer adventures for youngsters. Safety is my priority and I always keep leads on. I am happy to send daily updates and photos whilst you are on holiday or at work. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your dog and I will always treat them as if they were my own. I enjoy getting to know each dogs personality, funny ways and little routines. This helps to make sure they feel calm, loved and safe with me until you’re home. I’m at home all day and so your dog will have plenty of company, cuddles and playtimes. They will be able to go in the garden whenever they want to and get the walks they need. I am usually available all week for boarding and Monday to Friday for daycare. Please be aware that I have uncarpeted wooden stairs which some dogs can find tricky, I am very happy to carry your dog up and down if needed if they like to sleep upstairs at night, but I do need to be able to lift them. Please keep this in mind if your dog doesn't like being carried. Dogs cannot access the stairs unsupervised. Dogs are allowed on the sofa for cuddles and upstairs with me at night in their beds if they are happiest staying close by. If your dog is used to sleeping in a crate, please bring it with you as I don’t have one.

About: Hi, I’m Charly, a dedicated dog lover who knows that dogs are family, not just pets. I have over 20 years of experience pet sitting for friends and family, as well as 6 years fostering rescue dogs, helping them feel safe and settled while they waited for their forever homes. For the past year I’ve been walking dogs professionally, caring for a variety of breeds, ages and temperaments. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, or a relaxed environment, I make sure they feel comfortable, happy and well cared for. My home provides a calm, welcoming space for dogs, and I have a fully fenced garden with plenty of room for safe play and exercise. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your dog, so I always aim to provide reliable care, regular updates, and a loving environment where your dog feels right at home. I am currently working as a professional dog walker and can make my schedule work around you and your family pets needs you ask you and I’ll plan I have a fully fenced garden, for morning play and evening zoomies. There are plenty of countryside walks with walking distance and even more a few minutes drive away for those that like to go for a small ride in the car.

About: What sets me apart as a pet sitter is my personalized, detail-oriented care and deep love for animals. I treat every pet as if they were my own—offering consistent updates, following specific routines, and making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away Pet care is a natural and meaningful part of my daily routine. I intentionally structure my days to prioritize the needs of the pets I care for—whether that means early morning walks, midday check-ins, or evening playtime. It’s not just a job; it’s a rhythm I genuinely enjoy and a responsibility I take to heart When pets stay in my home , I focus on comfort, safety, and routine. At my home, pets enjoy a secure, fenced-in garden for safe outdoor play and plenty of space to relax indoors. I maintain a calm, clean environment and stick closely to each pet’s usual schedule—meals, walks, meds, and cuddles included. In a pet owner’s home, I’m respectful of the space and make sure their pets feel at ease in their familiar surroundings.
“Moose had the absolute best day with Nicola! He is so happy and absolutely finished from all the playing. Really appreciate the pics and updates throughout the day. Thank you Nicola for giving Moose a home away from home where I know he is cared for as much as we do.”

About: I’ve raised a very energetic puppy so I’m aware of the demands a dog may have. I’m very attentive and will always set the wellbeing of a pet as an important priority After doing the morning school run, my day is completely free so I’m in the house full time as I work from home so I’m always around. I have a fenced garden with a dog flap so while a dog is in the house they have extended freedom to roam. Garden is regularly cleans and kept trimmed for safety and hygiene.
“I would like to say that Harriet made a superb job of looking after our Westie for the day at her house. Our dog is a little nervous and Harriet catered to her needs and she came home very relaxed and happy ! Throughout the day we received various photos, out on walks, having a nap and enjoying the company of her dog. Well done, would not hesitate to use again and recommend.”
“Shana did an excellent job taking care of Chewy yesterday. He seemed happy and content when I picked him up, a clear sign of the quality care he received. I'm delighted with Shana's service and happily give her five stars. Thanks for providing Chewy a wonderful home away from home!”

About: I have had small dogs (poodles) for the past 30 years and I currently have one dog, a poodle x who is very energetic and likes lots of long walks in the woods...would your fur babies love to join us? I work from home so there are lots of cuddle breaks and walks during the day. PLEASE NOTE I AM CURRENTLY ONLY ACCEPTING DOG WALKING BOOKINGS DUE TO SETTLING IN A NEW FUR BABY. As I work from home i can easily stop and play with the dogs and take them out for walks during the day. They are also invaluable during coffee breaks for cuddles and enjoy a biscuit while I have my breaks! We live on a quiet cul de sac and have a safe fully fenced garden (6ft fence). We have an inside door between the front door and the porch for safety. We have breakfast then walkies, then I settle them down while I work, but its not long till we break for coffee and cuddles...lunch then another walk. Lots of stimulation as we have lots of balls and other toys.
About: I have taken care of animals especially cats since I was a young girl and have continued to have cats as pets with my daughters. I will be leaving a job soon so I will be around part time and weekends as and when needed. I can do pop ins to feed dogs or cats. And can’t pet sit over night if needed. I have a fenced garden where my fences are high. I will have dogs and cats on a lead who require going outside. See above.

Moose had the absolute best day with Nicola! He is so happy and absolutely finished from all the playing. Really appreciate the pics and updates throughout the day. Thank you Nicola for giving Moose a home away from home where I know he is cared for as much as we do.

Really grateful for Megan looking after my Lola for the day as we were moving home and it would’ve been too much for Lola with all the comings and goings of people. Megan kept me updated throughout the day so I knew Lola was ok. Lola took to Megan straight away which made me feel so much better leaving her as this is a first for me. Lola was taken care of brilliantly and I will definitely be choosing Megan again when I need someone I trust to watch my baby

Ben was doing dog duty today when i dropped off Beetle my foster dog . I was quite stressed as never left him with anyone before at a different house. Ben was very calm with him and spent time just letting him get used to the new surroundings. I had update and photos during the day, and was relieved to see he was fine and having fun He will be boarding there for 2 nights after Christmaa which will be much better for us now he has had his playday and was a happy boy on pick up time

Mark is so great, he always treat Frank to nice walks and cuddles, and makes Frank feel really comfortable. We’ve used Mark several times now and feel like we can easily trust him to take good care of Frank, and be a good communicator with us throughout the process :)

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
