“We’ve had Bekki numerous times now… Rupert loves her and we will continue to have her back when we need drop ins. She takes loads of pictures/videos and is very quick to respond to messages.”

“Thank you Alison for looking after our furry girls. Alison bonded with our cats straight away and was consistent, professional and a great communicator with frequent updates and pictures! Will definitely ask her again for the girls!”
“Daisy has been wonderful. She looked after my babies and made me feel at ease every day. She went above and beyond to make sure they were safe and comfortable. She sent regular pictures and detailed messages about where they were in the house and how much they were eating. I will definitely book Daisy again for my next holiday! Thank you very much for everything you have done for them 🤗😘”

“This was our first time using Rover, and Lucy has set the bar very high. Lucy came to the house a few days before our trip to introduce herself and meet our elderly cat. She was on time, asked all the right questions, and you could see she has done this many times before. Lucy kept us up to date throughout our trip on how our cat was doing and sent pictures too. Great service and we had peace of mind the whole trip knowing Lucy was looking after Sheba AKA Beanie.”

“Iva was highly reliable and so importantly, kind and caring with Simba, who loved her! Iva sent us daily texts and pics of Simba, which was very reassuring. We'd have no hesitation recommending Iva and we will be asking her to help again with our next holiday.”

About: I’ve always loved animals and have spent years looking after dogs and cats for friends and family. From caring for them for a few days to looking after them for several weeks while their owners are away, I absolutely love having them around and have always received lovely feedback. I work from home, so I’m able to give pets plenty of company and attention throughout the day. I’m also naturally active and enjoy daily walks, so having a four-legged companion join me would be a bonus! Most importantly, I want every pet in my care to feel happy, safe and completely at home while their owners are away. I’d now love to bring that same care, attention and affection to pets in my local community. 🐾 I work from home, so I’m around for most of the day and have plenty of flexibility to give pets the attention and care they need. I always take a lunchtime walk, usually around 30 minutes to an hour, and I also enjoy a longer walk after work. I’d love to have a dog join me on these walks! I’ve cared for my mum’s dog, Charlie, and her two cats, Milo and Casper, for over two weeks at a time on several separate occasions. During these stays, I was responsible for Charlie’s daily routine, including taking him for at least two walks each day, keeping him company and making sure he was happy and entertained with plenty of playtime, toys and treats. Charlie can be quite a picky eater, so I also made sure he was eating properly by patiently encouraging him at mealtimes and rewarding him afterwards. I also looked after Milo and Casper, making sure they were well fed, comfortable and cared for while their mum was away. I’ve also looked after my friend’s cat, Molly, over a weekend while she was away, making sure she was a happy kitty and got all the attention and affection she deserved. I understand how important it is to give pets a safe, calm and familiar environment, while following their individual routines and giving them plenty of attention and affection.
“Eloise and her husband Zac are amazing. My dog Lara loves them. They have taken very good care of her and I have also received all the updates from the visits which is great! Highly recommended!”

“Keely was efficient as usual, messages and photos received. Sadie was fed, watered and medication given. Keely left the light on as we were returning after dark. Makes leaving Sadie home alone so much less of a worry.”

About: I have experience working with a wide range of dog breeds, sizes, and personalities. Having worked in a dog-friendly environment, I am confident handling dogs with different needs and temperaments. I have also personally trained two dogs, giving me valuable experience in obedience, behaviour, and positive reinforcement techniques. My passion for animals ensures every dog receives safe, reliable, and caring attention. I work part-time, which gives me the flexibility to easily fit dog walking and pet sitting around my schedule. This allows me to offer reliable availability throughout the week and provide your pets with the time, care, and attention they deserve. Your pet’s safety and wellbeing are always my top priority. During walks and drop-in visits, I ensure pets are kept secure and comfortable at all times, following any instructions provided by the owner. I take care to check that doors, gates, and feeding areas are safe, and I always provide plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship. You can have peace of mind knowing your pet and home will be treated with the utmost care and respect.

“Holly was a wonderful cat sitter, making sure to send a picture of Squeak every day to let me know that she had seen her, I would definitely recommend her and will be sure to reach out to her again if I need another cat sitter.”

“Lucy has been absolutely incredible. Super communicative with pictures and updates frequently and adjusted seamlessly to changes we needed to make on our end (and our cats irregular schedule!). Blue seemed so happy in her company and we felt so assured whilst we were away. ”

About: I have had cats for 19 years. Currently have 1 cat of 2 years old. My other cats reached 18. I love cats. They are so affectionate and great company. I work Monday-Thursday in an office but I am available on Fridays (I work from home) but that’s not a problem to do drop-ins. I can also do these at any time Saturday and Sundays I give cats lots of love and affection, stroking their fur and rubbing their bellies, feeding them, ensuring they have fresh water, toys to play with, ensuring they are safe, happy and secure

Jade was amazing!! It's hard to leave our 12 week kittens but I felt so comfortable with Jade. She approached them with such patience and care and they LOVED her. Jade dealt with their crazy kitten energy so well playing with them and cuddling them and her communication was great. I am so grateful to Jade and Gadget and Gizmo miss you!!!

Iva was highly reliable and so importantly, kind and caring with Simba, who loved her! Iva sent us daily texts and pics of Simba, which was very reassuring. We'd have no hesitation recommending Iva and we will be asking her to help again with our next holiday.

Dr Zohreh was amazing. This is the first time we have used Rover and we’re very nervous about leaving our precious kitties. She was so kind and patient and treated Mac and Mitsy so well. I actually believe they still miss her. We will always use her in future Thankyou so very much

Emily recently looked after our cats, Poppy and Oscar, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. She gave our cats so much attention, and it was clear they were comfortable and happy in her care. We really appreciated the regular daily updates she sent, which always included great photos of Poppy and Oscar. It gave us peace of mind knowing they were in good hands and that everything was going well while we were away. Emily's communication was excellent, and her love for animals really shines through. We'll definitely be rebooking with her for our next trip. :)

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
