“Bekki recently looked after my cat Luna. She was very attentive, and nothing was too much to ask. She has a lovely nature and even managed some strokes with my normally very elusive cat! Thank you so much, I highly recommend Bekki and would use again in the future.”

“Lucy was very friendly, punctual, reliable, and most importantly, Duke instantly loved her (despite being nervous around new people) and took a shine to Lucy straight away. Thank you! Will be booking again! :)”

But I got lots of great reviews I’m now working part time since having my son. My son , partner and myself adore dogs so thought why not help people who need their precious dogs looked after. I’m currently working part time and I’m home the majority of the time so your pups will never be alone and always looked after here I have a large garden which is very secure and a separate room to the main living room incase dogs aren’t to get along so they are always safe

“Couldn’t ask for more! Took great care of our 2 cats, taking time to play with them and clear up after their mischief! Also very kindly put our heating on for our return and left us a really sweet card and some chocolates! Highly recommended!”

About: I have been babysitting dogs for a few years now. I have always been a dog lover and fostered several dogs growing up. In the last few years, I have hosted dogs in my house over holidays and vacations. I also live an active life and take dogs for long walks and hikes. I know it can be hard to go out and make plans when you have a dog, I am always down to take care of your baby if you have dinners or date nights planned. I have also helped owners take their dogs to the vet or provide other kinds of support in taking care of their fur-babies. I currently work hybrid and have to be in the office only once or twice a week. My office is pet friendly and once I bond with your fur baby and I know their temperament, I can take them in (if needed). I live in an apartment with a decently sized balcony with high railings. Any fur baby that comes over can make themselves at home and explore the house. There are no sharp objects or harmful plants. I am very attentive to the needs of your pets, I have previously taken pets to the vet on behalf of the owners. There are a few lovely parks nearby where I can take your babies for a walk.

“Dan came to meet our 14 week old puppy, Marlow, and spent time getting to know him a little before their first walk, playing with him, and asking lots of questions to tune into Marlow’s progress and idiosyncrasies. Dan took Marlow out for a walk and was really great with him - not least as he continued heel training to be consistent with our walks - really patient with an overexcitable puppy and clearly very knowledgeable, helping by sharing his experience and offering advice having seen Marlow ‘in action’. Dan is super professional and very keen to help both the dog and us as owners, and clearly has an affinity with, and a passion for, dogs. Really pleased to have met Dan and that he is spending time with Marlow.”

“Lucy has been absolutely incredible. Super communicative with pictures and updates frequently and adjusted seamlessly to changes we needed to make on our end (and our cats irregular schedule!). Blue seemed so happy in her company and we felt so assured whilst we were away. ”

About: I have always had pets, ever since I was very little. I have had rabbits, hamsters, fish, cats, dogs and love them. I think having pets makes you a better person. Apart from taking care of my own, I collaborate with several animal shelters and take care of my friends' dogs or cats when they need them. I currently work as a Nanny so I could take care of your pets on the weekends full time and in between you can ask me about my schedule. I take care of pets as if they were my friends and in the end they end up being. I can't bring them to my house because the rent doesn't allow it, but I can do it at home or for a walk.

Cat owners share their Rover experiences - Ashford
An amazing cat sitter. This was our first time booking a sitter for our little fur baby and we are beyond grateful for coming across Lucy! She was very friendly and got along with our cat within the first 5 minutes. She made sure to give us very detailed updates every day as well as follow the instructions we asked of her perfectly. Would definitely book again! Thanks for giving us all a great experience :)

This was our first time leaving our kittens overnight and we were so reassured by Stacey. She was amazing with them, she handled their crazy kittens antics brilliantly, her communication is excellent and they took to her really well. All in all a wonderful experience and can't thank Stacey enough!!!!

Iva was highly reliable and so importantly, kind and caring with Simba, who loved her! Iva sent us daily texts and pics of Simba, which was very reassuring. We'd have no hesitation recommending Iva and we will be asking her to help again with our next holiday.

Dr Zohreh was amazing. This is the first time we have used Rover and we’re very nervous about leaving our precious kitties. She was so kind and patient and treated Mac and Mitsy so well. I actually believe they still miss her. We will always use her in future Thankyou so very much

Emily recently looked after our cats, Poppy and Oscar, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. She gave our cats so much attention, and it was clear they were comfortable and happy in her care. We really appreciated the regular daily updates she sent, which always included great photos of Poppy and Oscar. It gave us peace of mind knowing they were in good hands and that everything was going well while we were away. Emily's communication was excellent, and her love for animals really shines through. We'll definitely be rebooking with her for our next trip. :)

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
