Within my own home I have a high fence. Within clients homes I expect it to be fully fenced. I also expect a waiver and small questionnaire to be answered so I am best equipped to deal with your animals.

Clear and open communication is very important to me, so I kindly ask that you keep me fully informed when using my services. Depending on the individual animal and the type of care required, I will ask for relevant paperwork to be completed and signed to ensure that all information provided is accurate and up to date. Although I sincerely hope it would never be needed, I also require current veterinary details for your pet in case of an emergency, so that I can act promptly and in their best interests at all times.
A typical day
I see every pet as an individual, whether they are a dog or a cat, and I tailor my care to suit their unique personality and preferences. If they enjoy using their sense of smell, I incorporate enrichment activities and games that stimulate and engage that instinct. Likewise, if they are naturally curious and enjoy exploring, I am more than happy to explore alongside them, ensuring they feel supported, safe and mentally stimulated at all times.

Pet care experience
Having a dogs and cats of my own has given me valuable, hands-on experience in understanding and meeting a dog’s individual needs. In addition, I regularly house-sit and care for my family members’ dogs, which has further strengthened my confidence in managing a range of temperaments, routines and care requirements. I had worked in the veterinary industry for numerous years, gaining practical experience in animal health, welfare and clinical environments. I also completed an animal-based degree covering animal behaviour and animal nursing, which provided me with a strong foundation in both the practical and theoretical aspects of animal care. I now work within animal-based education, where I continue to apply and develop my knowledge within the animal care sector. My weekday availability is primarily in the evenings. However, during school holidays, my availability increases and I am able to offer greater flexibility.
