“Lovely cat sitter—reliable, communicative, and clearly experienced. She kept me updated with messages and photos, and my cat was calm and well cared for when I got back. Would definitely recommend and book again.”

“Katrina & her sister (so sorry, wasn't sure how to spell your name) were fabulous! We have a nervous dog and they came to meet her first and carefully went through her needs / wants / quirks. They did a drop in to let her out for a wee and give her a spot of company to break up the day while we were out for a day trip. Katrina sent lots of photos and a detailed update which was very reassuring. I felt entirely confident in them and I will definitely be using them again! Thank you!”

“Olga popped for a visit to sit with Aragorn. She made sure to send me pictures and is always affectionate with him. he was happy to see her and was immediately relaxed sleeping next to her.”
“Alexandra did an excellent job 10 out of 10 .. She clearly loves cats and my cat loved her. Alexandra communicated really well, too sending photos and videos and updates about my cat at every visit. Recommended .”

“I cannot recommend Hannah too highly - she is, quite simply, amazing! We have two miniature Dachshunds who are - in keeping with the breed! - somewhat....territorial and bossy (!), and who don't always make friends easily. But they have fallen in love with Hannah, who has just been so good with them. Her manner, her 'can do' attitude and her desire to help do her immense credit. I am so glad we found her!!”

“Jiachen looked after our cat whilst we were away for 10 days. Jiachen had great communication, keeping us updated with videos & photos daily. Would highly recommend using Jiachen for pet care.”

“Manilyn was brilliant. It was the first time we’ve used Rover and she was so reassuring, coming for a pre-visit so we could explain everything and sending such lovely drop-in photos and cards when she visited. 100% recommend and would book her again. 5 star!”
About: I have been surrounded by pets my entire life! I grew up in multi-pet household, so am completely comfortable with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I recently purchased my own flat and am thrilled to finally be able to welcome pets into my warm and loving home. My work schedule means that I get Tuesday Wednesday off work so that your pet will have around the clock care, company and unlimited cuddles during their stay with me. I work in sales, which gives me two weekdays off to dedicate fully to walks, playtime, and cuddles. My partner Ryan is home on weekends to provide extra love and supervision, ensuring your pet is never lonely. We treat every pet like family and are comfortable with puppies, senior care, managing multiple pets (if from the same household) and following specific routines. We can't wait to welcome your dog (or cat!) into our home! 🐾 The safety and comfort of your pet are our top priorities. Our flat provides a calm and secure home environment with fully hard floors throughout living spaces. Our building features a fenced, communal garden that is completely set back and secured away from any roads where your dog can safely enjoy some fresh air and supervised play. Although we have use of a garden, we both love to walk and are happy to provide as many walks a day as your dog requires to ensure your dog is happy, stimulated, and gets plenty of exercise. We will be fully focused on giving your dog individual attention and enrichment. Ryan and I always supervise playtime, both inside and outside the home. We also strictly follow all feeding, medical, and routine instructions provided by you, ensuring a seamless and worry-free stay.
“We asked Lina to look after our dog for a few hours and found her very friendly and knowledgable about a dog’s needs. She is clearly a dog lover and we felt content leaving our dog in her care. We will definitely be asking Lina to look after our dog again. Thank you Lina. Belle had so much fun.”

“Monica was super communicative about her drop-in care for our kitty while we were away. Our trip plans changed and she was super flexible. We would recommend her to others and will book her again!”

About: Diploma in Pet Sitting and Dog Walking. I currently reside with Dolly the miniature pinscher, who is a rescue with one eye, with my 9 yr old son. Before Dolly, I had a Jack Russell named Rocky whose confidence outweighed his stature. I have taken care of dogs, cats, horses and small furries in my years and treat them as family not just pets. I work full time but work from home half of the week. I am flexible with my working hours and can take lunch breaks when it is needed. I have a fenced back garden and am just a short hop from lots of local parks surrounding the River Stour. Any dogs in my home are welcome on sofas and beds and cuddles are free. When walking dogs I am careful with meeting other dogs and ensure the lead is on.
About: Hello! It’s Ilayda, I grew up with two dogs in my house and I got my own dog 6 years ago, I’m experienced with puppies and small dogs in particular, with a total of 10 years pet cate experience. I would be happy to keep you updated with photos or videos during care if you wish! I am loving and patient, and I will treat your dog as the king/queen they are! I love going to parks and woods, and more than happy to have furry friends tag along with me! I am currently working part-time from home and therefore quite flexible! I am more than happy to spend my free time with your furry best friend and have fun/quality time together 😊 I do not offer at home care at my house because my dog Cookie is not very fond of new friends visiting her home 😊 to keep her comfortable I only provide care at your home.
About: I just love animals!!! I’ve taken care of dogs of all different breeds and sizes from a very young age. I grew up with 2 dogs constantly around and as I grew I gained more responsibility looking after them. Enjoying this led me to pursue looking after other people’s lovely dogs and cats etc. I have looked after lots of animals at this point - including a Turtle while the owners were in Japan! I am caring, loving and provide an excellent service for any animal. I am incredibly attentive and have an in depth understanding of the requirements of different and animals/ breeds. My cat and dogs will testify to this along with all the happy customers I have looked after! Working from home allows me to pay far more attention to pets than I probably should! I work fully remotely as a Project Manager in Canterbury and have a flexible schedule. I am available for sitting through the day, any day of the week and also for over night stays. I would ensure whatever pet I was taking care of received the best and most effective care. To ensure this happens I would have a discussion prior to any visits/ walks to ensure your wants and expectations of my service can be met. Within this I would also want to cover any specific requirement of your pet - ie current commands and training.
About: My family and I have always had dogs and I have often looked after friends dogs as well before starting to host on Rover. I can give a bath and a little trim for your dog during their stay if required, though I'm not a professional grommer, just groom my own dogs. I also have experience in raising puppies from birth. I love all dogs, big or small, but due to the type of my home I am only able to host small or medium breeds, up to 10kg. I will make them feel home and give them lots of attention. There is a nice park and walking route nearby where I can take your dog for a walk and if they are allowed off lead and have a good recall, they can also run free with my cockerspaniel and cockapoo girls. Please let me know before the booking if your dog is on any medication or needs special attention as it might incur additional costs and I have to adjust the price. Thank you for understanding. Hope to see you and your lovely dog(s) soon! :) Any questions, please feel free to ask. Have a wonderful day! :) I'm working locally, 4hrs a day , so most of the day I am available to care for the pets. Can walk them in the nearby parks. I have a small, private, fenced back yard, where I can let your dog out for toilet and a small or medium (up to 10kg) dog can play with my dogs. I can also walk them either together with one or if a small dog, both of mine , or separately, depending what you prefer. Please provide your own dogs food and bowls and instructions on how much and when you would want me to feed them. Vaccination records also required together with the information whether your pet is neutered or not (only able to host neutered male dogs) and how are they getting on with other dogs, cats and children.
“Emily was an amazing sitter, she provided good communication each day throughout the visits and sent photos and videos when requested. She built a very good relationship with my cat and I know I can rely on her again!”

About: I come from a family of dog lovers. Ever since we adopted my first pup when I was four, I was always active in taking care of and playing with him. For as long as I can remember, I took our dogs and friends and family's dogs on walks. I'm currently on a gap year and studying in my spare time, so I have loads of free time to spend showering your pets with the love they deserve. My family in recent years adopted two puppies, so I have an understanding of the importance of structure in a pups day, and gentle but clear instructions given, in order to create a bond and minimise damage that could be done to their environment, whether due to certain accidents or getting too playful. I will also walk the route through before taking the dogs out in order to ensure each walk is compatible to the pet.

Belinda always keeps me up to date with everything the kitties need and how they are doing. It is reassuring knowing that she will dedicate some time to them and try to play with them and keep them a bit busy while I am away. When I come back, they are usually not as clingy because they had someone to pop in and out and they are now comfortable with Belinda's care. I always find clean litters, clean bowls and happy kitties when I get back home from a holiday. Definitely recommend Belinda's care to any cat owner to look after their babies.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
