About: Hi, I’m an experienced and reliable dog lover who has grown up around dogs my whole life. Because of this, I have a good understanding of dog behaviour and how to make dogs feel comfortable and safe. For the past three years, I have provided weekly walks for three dogs belonging to the same owner, and have also pet sat for them on multiple occasions. Caring for these different breeds has given me experience with a range of personalities, energy levels, and routines. I’m confident handling dogs and always make sure they get the attention, exercise, and care they need. I understand that every dog is different, so I’m happy to adapt to their usual routine and any specific requirements they may have. I take responsibility seriously and will always treat your dog with care and respect. I look forward to meeting you and your pet! -Alfie canterbury/ sturry and surrounding areas. My availability is marked on the calendar, but feel free to message with further enquiries. I will do my best to make our schedules work together and find the best suited time for you. Your dog’s safety and wellbeing will always come first. I know every dog has their own routine and preferences, so I’m happy to follow whatever they’re used to, from feeding schedules, walks, and playtime to training routines, medication, and sleeping arrangements. My aim is to keep your dog comfortable, happy, and cared for while sticking as closely as possible to their normal routine and ensuring they receive the attention they need.
“Olga popped for a visit to sit with Aragorn. She made sure to send me pictures and is always affectionate with him. he was happy to see her and was immediately relaxed sleeping next to her.”
About: Hello there I’m Nicola, a caring and highly experienced dog walker/ sitter serving Canterbury and surrounding villages. I only look after solo pets and those from the same household. My 'speciality' is reassuring nervous dogs (as well as anxious owners!) I can be flexibly with my availability; whether you need regular weekday walks or occasional pet services. I work fully remotely so make a great daytime companion (I am a part-time researcher/ advocate for refugee rights). If you require a pet service not explicit on my profile do get in touch, I am always open to new ideas and learning new skills. I have had rescue dogs throughout my life, including "failed" police dogs and elderly dogs. Previously, I fostered Romanian rescue dogs, ahead of helping them find their forever homes. I have cared for puppies, elderly pets and those with mobility and/ or health considerations. I already have some regular dog walking Clients but have recently gained capacity to take on more work (I am new to Rover). I am now also available for pet sitting whether at my home or yours. I have an enclosed garden, and my home is located a short distance from public footpaths and fields. After saying goodbye to my beloved fur-son last year I do not currently have pets myself (still too bereft!) I have a primary school aged child who is very used to dogs of all ages and sizes (but this would need to be considered ahead of overnight stays my home). I have 25+ years' experience caring for my own/ other people's pets, including in their own homes. As well as previously fostering Romanian rescue dogs, I have cared for puppies, elderly pets and those with health considerations. I am also highly experienced in working with vulnerable people. I hold an enhanced DBS check and my own insurance.

With a flexible schedule covering weekdays and weekends, I aim to provide dependable and consistent care you can trust. I treat every pet with patience and respect, ensuring they feel comfortable and well looked after in your absence. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine, as I work fully remotely and have a flexible schedule across weekdays and weekends. This allows me to reliably accommodate walks, feeding times, drop-in visits, and medication routines while giving pets consistent attention and care. I am organised, accountable, and follow owners’ instructions closely to maintain each pet’s normal routine, safety, and comfort. I care for pets in their owner’s home by maintaining their normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medication, and ensuring they feel safe and comfortable in a familiar environment. I pay close attention to each owner’s instructions and prioritise cleanliness, safety, and responsible care at all times. I also provide timely updates with photos and videos so owners can stay reassured and connected with their pets while away. Being accountable and reliable is very important to me, and I aim to give both pets and owners peace of mind.

About: I’ve basically always had animals around me growing up, so being with pets just feels really natural to me. I’ve looked after everything from small pets to cats and dogs, and I honestly just love spending time with them. Over the years I’ve helped out with family and friends’ dogs quite a bit. Walks, feeding, sleepovers, the lot. So, I’m very used to fitting into their routines and making sure they feel comfortable and safe while their humans are away. I’m one of those people animals tend to warm to quite quickly. I think it’s because I’m quite calm with them and I don’t rush things. I like letting them come to me in their own time, especially if they’re a bit shy or unsure at first. And yes… I am absolutely here for the cuddles, snuggles, belly rubs, and the occasional treat bribery (within reason, obviously 😌). I really enjoy just hanging out with animals and giving them proper attention, not just the basics. Walks are one of my favourite things too. I love getting out and about, finding nice routes, and letting dogs have a good explore depending on their energy levels. Whether it’s a big adventurous walk or a gentle wander, I’m happy doing either. My schedule is quite flexible, which means I’m available most days for dog walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting. I can usually work around different routines pretty easily, so whether your pet needs a morning stroll, a daytime check-in, or evening company, I’m happy to help. Not having pets of my own at the moment because of my letting agreement is exactly why I love doing this. It means I still get to spend time around animals, make new furry friends, and enjoy all their different personalities Overall, I’m just someone who genuinely loves animals and enjoys looking after them properly. I’ll always treat your pets like they’re my own, and make sure they feel safe, happy, and a bit spoiled while you’re away 🐾 Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine and I’m able to be flexible around the needs of the pets I look after. My work schedule is fairly adaptable, which means I can easily make time for visits, walks, feeding, and any extra care needed throughout the day or week. I’m good at building pet care into my normal flow rather than treating it as something separate or rushed. Whether it’s early morning check-ins, evening visits, or popping in during the day, I can adjust my routine to make sure your pet gets consistent care and attention. I understand that every pet has their own rhythm, and I’m confident in working around that to keep things calm and reliable. I care for pets in their own home, where they feel safest and most comfortable. I stick closely to their normal routine, including feeding times, walks, litter changes, play, and any specific instructions given by the owner. I take time to understand each pet’s needs and personality so I can make sure they stay settled and stress-free while their owner is away. I’m very mindful of safety and always keep a calm, consistent approach. I make sure doors, gates, and windows are secure, follow any house rules closely, and keep an eye on anything that might affect the pet’s wellbeing. I also take hygiene seriously, keeping feeding areas clean, water fresh, and any mess or accidents dealt with properly and respectfully. Trust is a big part of pet sitting for me. I understand I’m coming into someone’s home and caring for a family member, so I act with respect, reliability, and clear communication. I’ll always update owners with how their pet is doing, so they feel reassured while they’re away. My aim is simple: keep everything familiar, calm, and safe, so the pet experiences as little disruption as possible and can just carry on being themselves in their own space.
“This is my second booking with Abbie and she’s been brill. Followed all feeding instructions, kept things clean and tidy, and sent me useful updates on how our cat was doing during each visit (eg pics, his demeanour.) I get very anxious leaving cat a behind and Abbie gave me so much peace of mind so I could enjoy my break. Thank you Abbie! ”

About: I’ve grown up with three dogs one lurcher who sadly passed recently at the age of 16 and two mental jack russels. They live with my parents right now and after moving away from home for university I’ve noticed the absence of them massively. I would love to have dogs back in my life again. I love playing with them and going on walks in massive fields they are such an emotional support for me and I miss them. I have also tried to train one of my dogs in dog agility not to great success but he absolutely loved the social aspect 😂. All three of my dogs were rescues which meant they all had specific needs and their own cute little sets of baggage. One of the jack Russel’s has also become completely blind the last couple of years so we’ve made accommodations to that as well. I am well versed in doggie situations and issues and love them all the more for it. I am currently a university student at Kent I already have a part time job but the hours are completely flexible and I would love to include dog sitting and walking as a part of my life again. I have a walled garden and lots of great fields and areas around the university I could talk your dogs lots of great outdoor space away from busy roads. I also have a car so I would be able to take them to different locations to switch things up for them.
About: I don’t just watch pets—I care for them like they are part of our family. With years of hands-on experience I take time to get to know each pet’s unique personality, needs and routines. Whether it’s extra playtime for an energetic puppy, quiet comfort for an older pet, I tailor my care to make every pet feel safe, loved, and at home 🙂 Pet care fits right into my life! I’m an outgoing person who loves being outdoors and staying active, whether it’s going for walks, playing fetch, or just enjoying some fresh air. I genuinely love spending time with animals and making sure they feel happy, loved, and comfortable while their owners are away. Caring for pets never feels like work it’s something that always brightens my day! ☺️ When pets stay with me, I treat them like part of the family. They get a comfortable place to rest, regular walks or playtime, and lots of affection. I make sure they feel at home, keep their feeding routine consistent, and always provide a calm, loving environment.

I love going to parks and woods, and more than happy to have furry friends tag along with me! I am currently working part-time from home and therefore quite flexible! I am more than happy to spend my free time with your furry best friend and have fun/quality time together 😊 I do not offer at home care at my house because my dog Cookie is not very fond of new friends visiting her home 😊 to keep her comfortable I only provide care at your home.
“This was my first time using Rover and my first time getting a dog sitter. Hamilton loved meeting Poppy on their initial meeting and enjoyed spending time with her and her daughter at their drop in. She sent lots of photos and was in constant communication to make me feel reassured that everything was ok. Thank you so much Poppy, I will definitely be using you again!”

About: I've loved and cared for dogs, cats, hamsters and horses my whole life, and am very comfortable around all animals. I would love to help you and your pets! I am free on most days to take care of your pets. I can't currently provide care at my own home, but am happy to take dogs on walks or visit your home to spend some time with your animals. I am flexible and will follow instructions as to how you'd like your pet to be cared for, but love to spend time with animals in any capacity, so will be sure to keep your pet occupied if house sitting with them!
About: I just love animals!!! I’ve taken care of dogs of all different breeds and sizes from a very young age. I grew up with 2 dogs constantly around and as I grew I gained more responsibility looking after them. Enjoying this led me to pursue looking after other people’s lovely dogs and cats etc. I have looked after lots of animals at this point - including a Turtle while the owners were in Japan! I am caring, loving and provide an excellent service for any animal. I am incredibly attentive and have an in depth understanding of the requirements of different and animals/ breeds. My cat and dogs will testify to this along with all the happy customers I have looked after! Working from home allows me to pay far more attention to pets than I probably should! I work fully remotely as a Project Manager in Canterbury and have a flexible schedule. I am available for sitting through the day, any day of the week and also for over night stays. I would ensure whatever pet I was taking care of received the best and most effective care. To ensure this happens I would have a discussion prior to any visits/ walks to ensure your wants and expectations of my service can be met. Within this I would also want to cover any specific requirement of your pet - ie current commands and training.
“Emily was an amazing sitter, she provided good communication each day throughout the visits and sent photos and videos when requested. She built a very good relationship with my cat and I know I can rely on her again!”

About: I come from a family of dog lovers. Ever since we adopted my first pup when I was four, I was always active in taking care of and playing with him. For as long as I can remember, I took our dogs and friends and family's dogs on walks. I'm currently on a gap year and studying in my spare time, so I have loads of free time to spend showering your pets with the love they deserve. My family in recent years adopted two puppies, so I have an understanding of the importance of structure in a pups day, and gentle but clear instructions given, in order to create a bond and minimise damage that could be done to their environment, whether due to certain accidents or getting too playful. I will also walk the route through before taking the dogs out in order to ensure each walk is compatible to the pet.

About: I have grown up around cats and dogs, and had 2 cats and 2 dogs as an adult. I really love looking after your furry family member, as if they are part of my own family :)🐾🐕🐶🐱🐕🦮🐕🦺🐈🐈⬛🐾🌿🌱 I’m a student and only do 2 hours a week currently. I’m also working from home as an artist, so this fits into my routine perfectly! I will regularly be walking in the woods and the beautiful parks in Canterbury by the river. I have a fenced garden, and I live right next to a lovely park and have woods nearby, so dogs can easily go out to use the toilet and will get regular walks. Cats have a litter tray in my large double bedroom and will have full run of the large house.
About: I have 6 years of experience caring and creating a fun and safe environment for pets to be around. I have looked after friends, family’s and other individuals best friends. With an eye for detail and being a perfectionist nothing is looked over and your pets will be in safe hands! I work a part time job where walks and night stays can be worked around. On my off days I love to be active so spending a full day or complete other tasks for your pets will be easy to do! I typically only offer pet sitting in the owners home as I own 2 dogs and I know some dogs or cats may not feel most comfortable in that new environment. I always follow the instructions given by the owners and give all my attention toward the dog/cat, such as making sure they stay in one room, feeding at specific times, and even if they need a quiet calm environment. Because I love being active I’m always happy to play with your pets and make sure they are getting the attention they need.
“Sangeeta went above and beyond, was incredibly attentive to our cat’s needs and temperament. Great communication with daily video updates. Would highly recommend booking Sangeeta, and will look to book again in the future to look after our cat if we go away.”

About: I truly believe dogs are our best friends, and I’ve loved them for as long as I can remember. I grew up with dogs and have always felt very connected to them. Being around them brings me a lot of joy, and caring for them feels very natural to me. I’m a calm, caring, and responsible person, and I know how important it is for dog owners to feel that their dog is with someone gentle, trustworthy, and attentive. I understand that some dogs are playful and energetic, while others need a slower, softer approach. I’m especially good with dogs who need patience, affection, and calm company. I’ll always do my best to make them feel safe, relaxed, and well looked after. My schedule is fairly flexible, which allows me to give dogs the time, attention, and care they need. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting depending on the day and time. I always prefer to discuss a dog’s usual routine in advance so I can make sure their care fits in smoothly and they feel comfortable and settled. I’m a calm and caring person, and I always want dogs to feel safe, comfortable, and understood. I follow owners’ instructions carefully and pay close attention to each dog’s personality, energy level, and needs. Whether that means a gentle walk, company at home, or sticking to feeding and toilet routines, I will care for your dog thoughtfully and responsibly.

Dog owners share their Rover experiences - Canterbury
Molly is a lovely person. We met first, before her drop-in visit to feed and walk Coco. She did all that we asked of her and kept us posted during the visit. Coco was perfectly happy when we returned and we will have no hesitation in using Molly again. We definitely recommend her services.

I can't recommend Katrina enough - I've left a review in the past but have engaged Katrina for drop-ins to our nervous and elderly dog many times now and she's utterly amazing! Entirely reliable, conscientious and so good with Luna who needs things done on her own terms. Thank you!

I cannot recommend Hannah too highly - she is, quite simply, amazing! We have two miniature Dachshunds who are - in keeping with the breed! - somewhat....territorial and bossy (!), and who don't always make friends easily. But they have fallen in love with Hannah, who has just been so good with them. Her manner, her 'can do' attitude and her desire to help do her immense credit. I am so glad we found her!!

Frances is brilliant! This is the second time she has looked after Edie and she is so good with her. Edie is always clearly thrilled to see her and we rest assured that she is well looked after while we are away. The photo updates are always really lovely too and communication is brilliant. Highly recommend booking Frances!

I couldn’t have left my little Popcorn with anyone better! Ellie spent time playing and cuddling with her and I came home to a happy little dog! Her care and attention was amazing and she kept me updated throughout and sent photos. I would 100% recommend Ellie and will definitely book her again.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
