“Shadow had a brilliant “holiday” with Marie, I had regular pupdates of daily activities and puppy play dates. Marie was so thorough from day 1, asked so many questions to get to know Shadow and met prior to accepting my booking to ensure Shadow and her dog, bread, got on. Can’t recommend enough. Thank you Marie and Bread 🤣”

“Dean took great care of our little Daisy, it was her first time at a Pet Sitters and he kept in contact with me sharing photos & reassuring me that she was fine. I will have no hesitation in booking Dean again - thank you Dean & family for taking such good care of her”

About: Hi! I'm new to Rover, I've always had dogs in my life since I was a child. I love all kind of dogs and have my own now, a 12 years old black labrador called Mango. I am currently working part time, and have lots of spare time to look after your four legged friends and go for walkies in your preferred area. I also know very nice walks that have been all approved by my dog (fields, woods, dog parks, etc). I am happy to cater for your dog's needs, and I will adapt to your preferences. I am looking forward to meet your dogs, and go on adventures with them I am available most weekdays, from 9 to 3, and will always try my best to work around your schedule. I am always happy to discuss your needs and find a way to make it work for everyone. I have a large fenced garden, to share with my friendly senior labrador. We live in a smoke free home, in a quiet residential area
About: I have been surrounded by pets my entire life! I grew up in multi-pet household, so am completely comfortable with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I recently purchased my own flat and am thrilled to finally be able to welcome pets into my warm and loving home. My work schedule means that I get Tuesday Wednesday off work so that your pet will have around the clock care, company and unlimited cuddles during their stay with me. I work in sales, which gives me two weekdays off to dedicate fully to walks, playtime, and cuddles. My partner Ryan is home on weekends to provide extra love and supervision, ensuring your pet is never lonely. We treat every pet like family and are comfortable with puppies, senior care, managing multiple pets (if from the same household) and following specific routines. We can't wait to welcome your dog (or cat!) into our home! 🐾 The safety and comfort of your pet are our top priorities. Our flat provides a calm and secure home environment with fully hard floors throughout living spaces. Our building features a fenced, communal garden that is completely set back and secured away from any roads where your dog can safely enjoy some fresh air and supervised play. Although we have use of a garden, we both love to walk and are happy to provide as many walks a day as your dog requires to ensure your dog is happy, stimulated, and gets plenty of exercise. We will be fully focused on giving your dog individual attention and enrichment. Ryan and I always supervise playtime, both inside and outside the home. We also strictly follow all feeding, medical, and routine instructions provided by you, ensuring a seamless and worry-free stay.

“Ziggy spent a few nights with Meghan and knowing he was so well taken care of really helped me relax on my holiday. Meghan sent photos, videos and updates on how he was doing in the heatwave. He got on really well with her dog and will definitely be back to visit again. Thoroughly recommend Meghan to anyone anxious about leaving their beloved pet with her. 🥰”

About: Hi, I’m James. My wife Heather and I love animals and having both grown up living with an array of pets, dogs, cats, birds (ducks&chickens, budgies) Lizards and tortoises. All companions are loved and admired. Resultantly, from our vast experiences, with different kinds of companions and personalities, we can recognise behavioural traits and understand what it is your boy(s) or girl(s) want / need. We had our own girl (Ellie, as seen in the pictures) unfortunately illness took her so we no other animals at home. So your furry friends will have our undivided attention. Heather, is home all day and we have access to a garden. We live less than 20ft from the sea so your furry friends will have the beauty of the sea to enjoy on walks as part of their daily routine when staying. We look forward to be able to look after your beloved family members. Heather is free and at home all week and able to provide the daily care your friend deserves. Daily walk, ATTENTION, food and drink. However, I return from work approximately 6pm (Tuesday-Saturday) when we would then go for an evening walk before dinner and bed. We believe it is important to build trust with your furry friend by joining in with them with the activities they love. The atmosphere within our home is very relaxed. We believe that our furry friends need a strong routine and a loving environment to thrive. We have an array of both physical and mental stimulating toys so they’ll never be bored.
“Mandy and her family were fantastic! Really welcoming and accommodating of both our dog and our needs during the meet and greet and drop off/collection. Would highly recommend and will be looking to request Mandy’s services again next time.”

“Katrina and her sister were both lovely and caring for Prince. He had a lovely time with them and I definitely recommend them. They are really good at keeping you updated about everything.”

“Rebecca was brilliant. Communication from start to finish was excellent. Winnie was well looked after and had a great time. We received updates which was really appreciated and our trip away was better knowing Winnie was being looked after so well.”

“I felt that Sangeeta was a calm and responsive person for our dog to board with - she quickly tuned in to Juno and her needs and has a natural, empathic way with dogs. Juno seemed very happy and relaxed after her one-night stay and we had plenty of updates and a video during the boarding period.”

Whether yours loves long walks, playing, exploring new places, or just having a cuddle on the sofa, I'm happy to go at their pace. I know how important it is to leave your pet with someone you trust, so I'll make sure they're well looked after, get plenty of attention, and have lots of fun while you're away. “Zalihe was utterly brilliant in her care of our Norman whilst we were on holiday. She supplied us with great photos, videos and news of what he was up to! Would highly recommend. A 5 star service.”

About: Hiya, I’m Jessica (27) working for the Ministry of Justice as a Psychologist. I’m a reliable, caring, and experienced pet sitter based in Canterbury, Whitstable, and Herne Bay, offering a safe and loving environment for your pets while you’re away. I have a genuine love for animals and understand how important it is to feel confident that your pet is in good hands. Whether it’s energetic dogs who need plenty of exercise or more relaxed cats who enjoy quiet company, I tailor my care to suit each pet’s personality and routine. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine. I have a structured schedule, which allows me to prioritise regular walks, feeding times, and check-ins throughout the day. I’m used to planning my time carefully, so I can ensure pets receive consistent care, attention, and companionship rather than being left alone for long periods. During the week, I can offer morning and evening walks, as well as drop-in visits or overnight care depending on your pet’s needs. Weekends are more flexible, giving me even more time to spend with pets for longer walks, playtime, and enrichment. I adapt my care depending on whether I’m looking after pets in my home or in the owner’s home, always focusing on keeping their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. In a pet owner’s home, I aim to maintain your pet’s normal schedule, including feeding times, walks, play, and any specific routines they’re used to. I make sure they feel comfortable in their familiar environment, give them plenty of attention and companionship, and keep your home tidy and secure. I’m also happy to send regular updates and photos so you can feel reassured while you’re away. If caring for pets in my own home, I provide a calm, safe, and welcoming environment where they can settle in comfortably. I ensure they have plenty of exercise, stimulation, and affection, while also respecting their individual needs—whether that’s lots of playtime or a quieter space to relax. In both settings, I pay close attention to each pet’s behaviour, wellbeing, and any specific instructions, including medication, dietary needs, or training preferences. My priority is always to make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and well cared for at all times.

I currently work from home and am also available at the weekends to look after your pet. This means that my schedule can be very flexible to suit the needs of your dog. Whilst you’re dog is with me, it will be the only pet in the household. I live in a very large 2 bedroom flat with walks to the sea less than 5 minutes away!

“Emily Mary looked after Beryl as if she was her own. She was super knowledgable about dogs and we got some lovely update pictures! Beryl came back shattered and very happy. We’ll definitely be rebooking!!”

About: I’ve had a pet dog for a few years, who I primarily cared for. I’ve had experience with caring for pets at dog sitting vaguely, but am looking to spend time walking dogs as I just enjoy caring for them I am currently a university student, so I am really only avaliable on weekends and when I don’t have uni. However, depending on how close you are I can do later walks I have access to many beautiful areas in which I can take your dog. I will give them lots of love, play with them and give them cuddles throughout their walk :)
Canterbury pet owners share their Rover experiences
Hollie was an awesome sitter! She checked in regularly, included photos and videos, and kept me updated when my pup wasn't feeling her best. I felt reassured that my pup was in good hands and was getting good exercise, and would happily choose Hollie as a sitter again.

Valeriia is hands down the best sitter we've ever had on Rover. She looked after our two dogs, Fendi and Choo, for nearly a month while we were abroad, and we genuinely couldn't have asked for better care. She treated them like her own babies from day one. Throughout the whole stay she kept us constantly updated with a steady stream of photos and messages, which gave us total peace of mind while we were away. You could see from every picture how happy and comfortable they were with her. When we got back, both dogs were relaxed, happy and clearly had the best time. That says everything about the love and attention she gave them. We can't recommend Valeriia highly enough and we'll absolutely be booking her again. If you're looking for someone who will truly care for your dogs like family, she's the one. Thank you, Valeriia!
Lucinda was amazing....my older dog, Mutley thoroughly enjoyed his stay over a very warm Bank holiday weekend. Lucinda sent lots of updates and photos of Mutley, keeping him cool and entertained. I would highly recommend her to anyone needing a home from home for their fur baby while away. Sam x

Our pup Maggie had the best time with Rebecca and her family. We found her last minute after being cancelled on as Maggie came into season - Rebecca has two lovely lab bitches of her own so took Maggie in for the weekend, for runs and swims in her lovely village location. Lots of pics and videos shared all weekend - would definitely book again!

Annabel kept us updated on how our dog was doing, they took good care of our dog, provided pictures and were very accommodating, we were running late for the dog pick up but Annabel reassured us that it was fine and had no issues with taking care of our dog for a short while longer.

I can’t praise enough how amazing and wonderful Marie is with our amazing little man Marlow. Marie is every dog owners dream and when you drive away when dropping him off and he doesn’t look back then you know he’s happy. Marie has looked after Marlow for four years and we have actually cancelled holidays if Marie is not available. Thats says it all Thank you Marie

Sangeeta is great! Very kind, responsive, and welcoming. We had a meet and greet before booking the stay, which was lovely since the pups were familiar with her and her house when it came time for their vacation. We received lots of pictures and videos and could tell our babies were well taken care of while we are gone. Would definitely book again.

I can't thank Peter enough for looking after our Freddie so well. Freddie was very happy and content with Peter and Mitzi. Peter sent regular videos and updates which was so kind and thoughtful. I would have no hesitation in booking Peter again to look after Freddie. Huge thanks again Peter! Xx

Yet again, another wonderful stay with Monica and her family. From the moment Ottie approaches Monica's house her tail is wagging and she can't wait to get in and see everyone again. Monica is brilliant. Ottie has fun with games, children to play with and love and attention. We have been so very lucky to find such a fantastic person to take care of Ottie. Obviously, we HIGHLY recommend Monica

Rachel helped us at very short notice as we needed a sitter for a one off occasion. Rachel was very prompt and thorough in her communication with us and, most importantly, our dog Coco had a great day with her! She kept us updated with photos and notes about what they were doing which was lovely. She obviously loves dogs! Thank you Rachel
