“We will definitely use Yevgeniia again. She sent a photo shortly after we dropped Jimmy off and he was relaxed and snoozing. She sent photo updates throughout Jimmy’s stay and answered any questions about arrangements quickly. Her dog is a placid gentle soul and he and Jimmy got along well.”

“Ziggy spent a few nights with Meghan and knowing he was so well taken care of really helped me relax on my holiday. Meghan sent photos, videos and updates on how he was doing in the heatwave. He got on really well with her dog and will definitely be back to visit again. Thoroughly recommend Meghan to anyone anxious about leaving their beloved pet with her. 🥰”

“James and Heather were fantastic! Grace loved them and loved her stay there. They sent me updates, photos and videos and I can honestly say I don’t think I’ve seen Grace so happy with a border. I highly recommend them (although I didn’t want to as I want to keep them all for myself!) 🤣”

About: I just love animals!!! I’ve taken care of dogs of all different breeds and sizes from a very young age. I grew up with 2 dogs constantly around and as I grew I gained more responsibility looking after them. Enjoying this led me to pursue looking after other people’s lovely dogs and cats etc. I have looked after lots of animals at this point - including a Turtle while the owners were in Japan! I am caring, loving and provide an excellent service for any animal. I am incredibly attentive and have an in depth understanding of the requirements of different and animals/ breeds. My cat and dogs will testify to this along with all the happy customers I have looked after! Working from home allows me to pay far more attention to pets than I probably should! I work fully remotely as a Project Manager in Canterbury and have a flexible schedule. I am available for sitting through the day, any day of the week and also for over night stays. I would ensure whatever pet I was taking care of received the best and most effective care. To ensure this happens I would have a discussion prior to any visits/ walks to ensure your wants and expectations of my service can be met. Within this I would also want to cover any specific requirement of your pet - ie current commands and training.

“Emily Mary looked after Beryl as if she was her own. She was super knowledgable about dogs and we got some lovely update pictures! Beryl came back shattered and very happy. We’ll definitely be rebooking!!”

“Hollie has had a fantastic weeks stay with Dean and his family. They have cared for her as if she were there own. Communication was great before the booking started and during the stay, with lovely photos of Hollie enjoying herself on many walks and being entertained by the family. This enabled us to relax in confidence knowing she was being well looked after. We would have no hesitation in booking with Dean again, and absolutely recommend him to friends and family,”

About: I love animals, especially dogs and cats. I enjoy being outside everyday and take my friend's dog Molly for walks everyday. I have looked after Molly for one year now, including sitting, walking, feeding, bathing...I also have two cats, Mia and Milo which I have had since they were kittens. I love how independent and relaxed they are and enjoy them being around while I am working. I am friendly, reliable and punctual. I have a full-time job remotely so have a lot of free time. I am usually free either early mornings or late afternoons everyday. I can take up more responsibilities on my days of which are sometimes weekends and other times days during the week. As long as we agree and plan before hand, I will find a way to accommodate your needs. Sadly, I do not offer care for pets in my home as I already have a dog and two cats. However, in emergencies, I can accommodate.
About: Hi! I'm new to Rover, I've always had dogs in my life since I was a child. I love all kind of dogs and have my own now, a 12 years old black labrador called Mango. I am currently working part time, and have lots of spare time to look after your four legged friends and go for walkies in your preferred area. I also know very nice walks that have been all approved by my dog (fields, woods, dog parks, etc). I am happy to cater for your dog's needs, and I will adapt to your preferences. I am looking forward to meet your dogs, and go on adventures with them I am available most weekdays, from 9 to 3, and will always try my best to work around your schedule. I am always happy to discuss your needs and find a way to make it work for everyone. I have a large fenced garden, to share with my friendly senior labrador. We live in a smoke free home, in a quiet residential area
“Zalihe was utterly brilliant in her care of our Norman whilst we were on holiday. She supplied us with great photos, videos and news of what he was up to! Would highly recommend. A 5 star service.”

About: I have been surrounded by pets my entire life! I grew up in multi-pet household, so am completely comfortable with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I recently purchased my own flat and am thrilled to finally be able to welcome pets into my warm and loving home. My work schedule means that I get Tuesday Wednesday off work so that your pet will have around the clock care, company and unlimited cuddles during their stay with me. I work in sales, which gives me two weekdays off to dedicate fully to walks, playtime, and cuddles. My partner Ryan is home on weekends to provide extra love and supervision, ensuring your pet is never lonely. We treat every pet like family and are comfortable with puppies, senior care, managing multiple pets (if from the same household) and following specific routines. We can't wait to welcome your dog (or cat!) into our home! 🐾 The safety and comfort of your pet are our top priorities. Our flat provides a calm and secure home environment with fully hard floors throughout living spaces. Our building features a fenced, communal garden that is completely set back and secured away from any roads where your dog can safely enjoy some fresh air and supervised play. Although we have use of a garden, we both love to walk and are happy to provide as many walks a day as your dog requires to ensure your dog is happy, stimulated, and gets plenty of exercise. We will be fully focused on giving your dog individual attention and enrichment. Ryan and I always supervise playtime, both inside and outside the home. We also strictly follow all feeding, medical, and routine instructions provided by you, ensuring a seamless and worry-free stay.
“Valeriia looked after our labrador puppy, Ally for 5 days whilst we were away. We had good communication with Valeriia, who sent us daily photos and updates of Ally playing and out on walks. She was a happy doggy on our return :)”

“Great friendly service with the dog's interests always at the forefront of her mind. She always provides great photo updates so you are reassured your dog is having a great time. Highly recommend.”

About: I grew up in a household full of animals - dogs, cats, chickens, guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters and even rats - I've always been surrounded by pets. I absolutely love dogs and care for every pup as if it is my own. I am an outdoorsy person, who loves going out for walks, whatever the weather. Growing up in the countryside I spent a lot of time outside with our dogs. I have been cared for dogs of every size from a miniature Shih Poo to an energetic German Pointer - I am happy to look after your pet however big or small! I am more than happy to look after young puppies and ensure consistency with training, or elderly dogs, and will always follow instructions to a t! Whether it is pet sitting or dog walking, you can trust me to give the best care and keep you in the loop with photos and updates! I work from home every day, so your dog will never be left alone ❤️🐶 I have an indoor ragdoll cat, Baby Blue Moon, and get so anxious leaving him with other people, so I really understand the importance of leaving your pet in trusted hands. I work from home and can offer flexible care for your pets throughout the week and weekends. Feel free to contact me with last minute bookings! I will always care for pets as if they are my own. I will give them walks and exercise, play and affection according to their needs. I have a fenced garden and live close to a large green park for dog walks. I am vigilant with feeding routines, changing water and administering medication (orally) as required.

About: I've grown up with dogs and cats and adore them all. I live in Herne Bay with my partner, so we'll both be available to care for your pet! I'm currently studying accounting, and my partner works part-time as a taxi driver and studies personal training, so there'll always be one, if not both, of us available for you and your pet! We live in a flat - while it's without a garden, we're a 2-minute walk from a large park. As for caring for pets in an owner's home, we are both very tidy and respectful.

“Lena looked after Georgia for over 2 weeks and I could have not hoped for a better ‘foster mum’ while I was away. I was quite anxious as I had not left her behind for such a long period before, but Lena was very patient with both Georgia and myself until we both settled! She sent me photos and videos every day of what they got up to and Georgia always looked happy and spoilt with cuddles. I highly recommend Lena to look after your pooch and I will definitely call her again next time I go away.”

About: I've taken care of pets throughout childhood (we owned two cats) and have been around dogs for a similar amount of time. My extended family always had dogs, from Jack Russell's and Cockapoos to Labradors. I loved them all and enjoy getting to know their individual personalities. I work from home most of the time, occasionally I have to be away in London. I would be able to travel locally on lunchbreaks and take your dog for walks! Or alternatively I can take care of your dog at my home for the day. There is a large garden for dogs to roam in, I'm often in the back patio working so I can keep and eye on them! When the weather isn't as good they can stay in our living room. There are no other pets here so they will have all the space (and attention!) I know a few good walking spots in the local area. If there is a preferred route or grounds you'd like me to taken them to, just let me know.

“Katie and her partner did an amazing job of taking care of our puppy. It was his first time away from home and he loved staying with them. We received photo updates and timely communication. Thank you so much.”

“So please that we had Orwell in with Emily for 5 Dyas with 4 overnights. Emily was able to pick Orwell up from our home address on the 1st day which really helped. With updates everyday fairly soon I was feeling jealous! He clearly had a great time and very much enjoyed himself. Emily obviously made time for him and kept him busy. Needless to say to say he was all tired out when he finally got home. Would always recommend Emily to anyone. Have already inquired with her about another sitting! Thank so much Emily - you’re a star!”

We had a fantastic experience with Kayleigh and would highly recommend her. Before we even booked, she took time out of her day to answer questions so we could see if we were a good fit. I was really anxious about leaving our pups but Kayleigh was just so kind & thoughtful. We could tell she really knew and understood dog behaviours and what they would need. During the stay, we got regular updates and tons of gorgeous photos, which showed the amount of care and attention that had gone into not just our pups visit, but to reassure us too. We will definitely be using Kayleigh again, from the photos we could see our pups were settled and chilled which is worth its weight in gold!

We couldn't fault Hannah at all. She was so friendly from the start and made us feel completely at ease leaving Luna with her. Luna had the best time, especially being with Hannah and her boys! We received lots of lovely photos throughout Luna's stay, which was so reassuring and showed just how happy and well looked after she was. Luna can be quite needy, but that didn't phase Hannah or her family at all, they gave her so much love and attention. I honestly don't think Luna wanted to come home! We wouldn't hesitate to book with Hannah again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, friendly, and reliable dog sitter.

Excellent service from Hollie who took the time and trouble to walk Teddy late in the evening during the recent VERY HOT weekend. Hollie made Teddy feel at home and made sure he had a cool spot in the house. We received regular updates and photos. Teddy was very relaxed, happy and comfortable. I would certainly recommend Hollie and will most definitely book again.

Valeriia is hands down the best sitter we've ever had on Rover. She looked after our two dogs, Fendi and Choo, for nearly a month while we were abroad, and we genuinely couldn't have asked for better care. She treated them like her own babies from day one. Throughout the whole stay she kept us constantly updated with a steady stream of photos and messages, which gave us total peace of mind while we were away. You could see from every picture how happy and comfortable they were with her. When we got back, both dogs were relaxed, happy and clearly had the best time. That says everything about the love and attention she gave them. We can't recommend Valeriia highly enough and we'll absolutely be booking her again. If you're looking for someone who will truly care for your dogs like family, she's the one. Thank you, Valeriia!
I can’t praise enough how amazing and wonderful Marie is with our amazing little man Marlow. Marie is every dog owners dream and when you drive away when dropping him off and he doesn’t look back then you know he’s happy. Marie has looked after Marlow for four years and we have actually cancelled holidays if Marie is not available. Thats says it all Thank you Marie

Sangeeta is great! Very kind, responsive, and welcoming. We had a meet and greet before booking the stay, which was lovely since the pups were familiar with her and her house when it came time for their vacation. We received lots of pictures and videos and could tell our babies were well taken care of while we are gone. Would definitely book again.

Yet again, another wonderful stay with Monica and her family. From the moment Ottie approaches Monica's house her tail is wagging and she can't wait to get in and see everyone again. Monica is brilliant. Ottie has fun with games, children to play with and love and attention. We have been so very lucky to find such a fantastic person to take care of Ottie. Obviously, we HIGHLY recommend Monica

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
