I work full-time but have a flexible schedule, which allows me to fit pet care around my day. I’m available for early morning visits, evenings, and weekends, and I can adjust my routine when needed. Your pet will still get plenty of attention, exercise, and care, and I’m happy to discuss specific timing to suit your needs. I provide a safe, calm, and caring environment where pets feel comfortable and secure. I take time to understand each pet’s routine, needs, and personality, and always follow the owner’s instructions closely. I’m reliable, kind, and easy going, and I make sure pets are supervised, well cared for, and treated like part of the family whether in my home or yours.

“Matthew has just done a two week housesit with three dogs in roasting conditions. He was absolutely brilliant. He clearly cared for them all exceedingly well. He adjusted their walk times to ensure they got out on walks very early and very late in the day to avoid the worst of the heatwave. He was grooming them and checking for signs of distress. He dealt with a matted fur area on the paw of a fluffy cavapoo and gave them a lot of love and sent me a load of photos. Matthews communication with me prior to the sit and during was first class. Particularly helpful as I had work going on in the house while he was away and he gave me feedback on how that was going. He has left the house tidy and even ensured that loads of windows were already open in the rooms I and my family including some under 5s were coming back to. I would highly recommend Matthew.”

Growing up in a family that regularly adopted rescue pets, caring for animals has been a natural part of my life for as long as I can remember. About: Hi there fellow cat people! My name is Emily and I’m 28, my passions in life are animals (especially cats, art, music and books! I have 2 gorgeous black cats of my own, one is a 14 year old who I raised from the day they were born in our rabbit hutch and a 5 year old lock-down kitty. I’ve grown up with cats my whole life and have also volunteered a couple times at SCAR (animal rescue) in the cattery, and a wildlife conservation centre in Bali. So I have extensive experience with pets in general, but cats are my true love. My experience also highlights my passion for animal rights and fighting against animal cruelty, so I hope you can trust your animals will be in the best care.

“Amy looked after our 5 month old Labrador puppy, Scooby, for a weekend whilst we were away. I have never used Rover and we were apprehensive, as Scooby is a puppy, to leave him with someone but I had no reason to worry at all, Amy was amazing! Amy came to the house and met Scooby a few weeks before we went away and straight away I felt at ease. Scooby loved her and Amy is a natural with dogs! Whilst we were away Amy provided regular Pupdates and Scooby loved his weekend with a new friend. We will definitely ask Amy to look after Scooby again when we next need a dog sitter. About: We are a couple, Diana and Pieter, both 50 years old, with a lifelong connection to animals. Pieter grew up on a farm in South Africa, surrounded by many different animals, not just dogs and cats, which gave him a natural ease and confidence in caring for them. I grew up with dogs, cats, chickens, and rabbits, so taking care of animals has always been part of my daily life. We both still have our own pets today, so caring for animals is something that comes naturally to us. We’re used to their routines, their needs, and the responsibility that comes with them. If you see that we’ve selected the option to bring a pet, it would occasionally be our Springer Spaniel, 10, Qtoy, calm and friendly, but of course only if your pets like to be social. We also have a lovely black Labrador Retriever, american style, named Beny , of 3 years. We both work remotely, which means we spend most of our time at home and can be very present with the pets we look after. We like to keep things simple: respecting each animal’s routine, giving them attention, and making sure they feel safe and relaxed while their owners are away. For us, pet and house sitting is a way to stay close to animals, experience places more deeply, and take care of a home with the same attention we would give our own. We currently work remotely and part-time, so we have plenty of time to spend with your pets and keep them company. We’re available for pet and house sitting, staying in your home during the week and/or weekends. We take care of pets by staying in the owner’s home, so they can remain in their familiar environment and routine. We follow all the instructions given carefully, including feeding, walks, playtime, and any specific needs. Since we work remotely and part-time, we spend a lot of time at home, so pets are rarely left alone and get plenty of attention and companionship. We like to keep their routine as stable as possible, making sure they feel safe, relaxed, and well cared for while their owners are away.

About: I’ve been comfortable around dogs since childhood, we had a pet for about 5 years. I also lived with a dog for a year recently. I’ve done dog sitting over night for 2 weeks at a time and really enjoyed it. I love walks, do feeding time consistently and have even learned some tricks from a dog whisperer. I work from home and am busy in the mornings but from early afternoons onwards Im free and usually take walks anyways. I’m looking to get out more so I’d love to dog walk I’m very comfortable around dogs and am happy to enfornce any behaviours you’ve been teaching your dogs. Whatever rules you have set I will ensure they are followed fully and the dogs are always safe and happy.

“Eleanor recently sat for our three dogs over a long 4 night weekend. We had met the week before so she could get to know them and the set up here beforehand and was prompt, quietly attentive to all the info coming her way and clearly at ease with the dogs. She doesn’t drive but was pretty local to us and had arranged her transport to and from our home. During the booking we kept in touch via WhatsApp and she sent some photos of the dogs out for walks and at home which I appreciated. She left the house in good condition and the dogs looked happy and had obviously be played with. Eleanor had also spent some time giving the oldest dog a good comb as he was mid moult and looked much more handsome than when we’d set off! I would happily ask Eleanor to sit for our dogs again.”

About: I’ve been surrounded by pets since I was very young, growing up with both dogs and cats and developing a genuine love for animals of all kinds, including rabbits and hamsters. Caring for pets has always been a natural part of my life, and I truly enjoy spending time with them, making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved. I currently have a small Bichon Frise, so I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet. Because I have my own dog at home, I focus on caring for small and medium-sized breeds, where I can ensure a comfortable and safe environment for everyone. While I don’t take on larger breeds, I’m more than happy to provide attentive, reliable care for smaller dogs—whether that’s walks, day sitting, or home visits. Your pet will be treated with the same care, patience, and affection I give my own. My schedule is provided a week in advance, so it can vary slightly from week to week. However, this also allows me to plan ahead and offer good availability for pet care. I’m generally available mornings, afternoons, and evenings, and I’m flexible when it comes to arranging walks or home visits in advance. I always do my best to help As a pet owner, I make my dog Freddy’s happiness and wellbeing a top priority. He gets plenty of walks every day—even if that means spending my work breaks outside with him. We usually enjoy shorter walks around the block or by the river, along with one or two longer walks in the park for extra exercise and stimulation. At home, I’ve created a very dog-friendly environment filled with toys, cozy blankets, and (of course) treats. While the whole house is welcoming to dogs, the sofa is definitely a favourite spot for relaxing and feeling comfortable.
