About: Hi! 👋 I live in central Tunbridge Wells with my partner and our three cats. Growing up in a family that regularly adopted rescue pets, caring for animals has been a natural part of my life for as long as I can remember. I've looked after and owned pets with all sorts of personalities – from large, energetic dogs to independent cats, cuddly companions, and senior pets who enjoy taking things slower. These days, I'm often the first person family and friends call when they need someone reliable to care for their pets while they're away. I understand that every animal is unique, so I'm happy to tailor my visits to suit your pet's individual needs, whether that's walks, playtime, cuddles, feeding, or just being there to keep them company. I'm also great with smaller animals and have previously owned birds, chickens, gerbils, rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters. My goal is to make sure you feel happy, comfortable, and reassured from the start.

About: 🐾 I had the great joy of sharing nine wonderful years with my Romanian rescue dog, Bernie Bones, who we sadly lost July 2025. We adopted him when he was one-ish and went through everything together - navigating the challenges of behavioural issues to his playful teenage years and finally to managing his complex health issues as he grew older and slowed right down. Caring for dogs comes naturally to me, and life feels a little empty without our buddy around. I grew up alongside dogs (+ cats) and have always looked after friends’ pups when they’ve been away - I genuinely enjoy their company! My partner Ross and I both work from home, and have the time to care for your dog alongside our day jobs, we also have experience with rescues and supporting anxious dogs. Morning + lunch walks are usually shorter and focused on getting out, stretching legs, and toilet breaks. End-of-day walks are longer and more relaxed, often up to an hour or more depending on your dog’s energy levels and preferences. I can sometimes be flexible and move things around where possible to make bookings work. Your dog will have a calm, homely space to relax. We’re a child-free couple with no other pets, so your pup gets all the attention 🐶 Before any first-time booking, I always arrange a meet-and-greet. It’s a great chance for you to visit our home if you would like to see where your dog will be staying. Or we can meet in a park for a walk - your preference! We offer: 🌳 Fully fenced and secure garden 🛋️ Dogs are welcome everywhere in our home 🐾 for boarding - only one dog at a time, or multiple from the same household. For walks up to two dogs, but I will discuss with you first to ensure your dog is happy with others, or can arrange solo walks. 🏠 Your dog will never be left alone, unless you’ve given us the go-ahead 🚶‍♀️ In the park, dogs stay on-lead until I’m confident in their recall I use gentle, reward-based training methods and focus on positive reinforcement, calm handling, and building trust. It’s really important to me that dogs feel safe and relaxed in my care. Because of this, I’m not the right fit for owners who use alternative methods, including the use of aversive tools such as choke chains and prong collars. “Francis came to our rescue after we had driven up from Plymouth to Brighton for Pride in the Park. We found we were not allowed to take our dog in the Park!! But, at very short notice Francis came to meet Chorkie and get acquainted. Within no time at all Chorkie was sitting on her lap giving her kisses. Chorkie has a skin irritation and Frances asked how we manage this and worked within our guidance while she was with him. Chorkie is also an old boy now (14) and the way Frances dealt with him so kindly and gently showed that she has cared for older dogs (she cared for her own dog until he was 17) Frances took Chorkie for 2 "sniff-led" walks - she has done a lot of research on the benefits of sniffing to a dogs welfare and mental health) We were sent several updates and lovely photos showing Chorkie happily sleeping in his bed, on his walks and eating his tea We would ABSOLUTELY use Frances again - she is a friendly, kind, gentle, knowledgeable sitter and we felt totally able to enjoy our event knowing Chorkie was so relaxed with her. I don't think we could have had a more perfect sitter for Chorkie and he agrees 😍”
