Animals have always held a special place in my heart having grown up surrounded by dogs and cats. When I moved into my current London flat, I missed the joys of having a furry friend to look after so I, along with my sister (Rebecca) and boyfriend (Hashem), decided to become dog foster carers with Battersea Dogs and Cats Home. We have fostered ten dogs in the last two years, in addition to regularly pet sitting for friends, family and neighbours. I have experience in taking care of small, medium and large breeds, as well as dogs of different ages and personalities. I am currently undertaking a dog trainer certification course which covers the topics of dog body language and pet first aid, so rest assured, your pet will be very safe and well looked after with me.

I highly recommend Ellie as a pet sitter. She has looked after my dog, Max, regularly—both during the daytime and while I’ve been away on holiday—and I’ve always had complete peace of mind knowing he was in her care. Ellie is experienced in fostering large and complex breeds and she is fantastic with all dogs and takes the time to understand their individual needs and personalities. She is also incredibly careful and trustworthy. I’ve always found her to be reliable, responsible, and genuinely caring, treating Max as if he were her own. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Ellie to anyone looking for a dependable and experienced pet sitter.
Ellie looked after my cockapoo Stanley when we went on holiday earlier this year and walks him regularly when I’m unable to myself. She is punctual and reliable and clearly loves Stan, and he loves her too, which we can’t say about everyone as he’s a fussy little man but Ellie has definitely won his heart. She sends regular pupdates too which are lovely to receive. I can not recommend Ellie highly enough, any dog would be lucky to have her in their life♥️
Ellie is incredibly responsible and has a natural way with animals that makes them feel comfortable right away. She doesn't just do the bare minimum; she genuinely pays attention to a dog's body language and needs, whether they need a high-energy walk or just some quiet company. You can completely trust her to show up on time, follow specific care instructions to the letter, and treat your pet with the same patience and affection she would her own. She is one of those rare people who is both highly organized and deeply compassionate, which is exactly what you want in a pet sitter. Any dog in her care is going to be safe, happy, and very well looked after.

Schedule
I live with two other flatmates, my partner and sister, but we do not have any pets of our own. I am currently enjoying a career break which means I can be available at short notice and have the flexibility to tailor my routine around looking after your pet. Between us there is always someone at home during the weekdays which means your dog will never be left on its own if this is not something you are comfortable with. We all work regular 9-5 hours which makes it easy to structure our time around ensuring your pet receives the necessary toilet breaks, exercise, stimulation and rest, and we can be flexible with any specific needs your pet has such as training reinforcement or delivery of medication.

Safety, trust & environment
We live in a spacious two-bedroom flat next door to the Olympic Park in Stratford, East London. The local area has numerous green spaces, parks, woodlands and wetlands providing many a great walking spot for your dog to enjoy. Though we do not have our own private garden, we do have a fully enclosed, communal courtyard which is shared with some of the other friendly local dogs in our neighbourhood.
A typical day
Depending on the needs of your pet, we are able to provide them with regular exercise and other stimulating activities such as treat treasure hunts, puzzle feeders and basic rewards-based training. In our home, all pets are allowed up on the furniture, though we will adhere to your preferences as to whether this is something you would like us to allow. We must draw the line at having an extra guest in the bed overnight, though we are happy for them to sleep in the room with us if this is what they are used to or they are struggling with separation anxiety.
