I am unable to look after others' pets in my own home as our cats are not used to other animals. However, I am happy to walk your dogs for as long or short as you would like, in all weathers. I can visit them in your home and I'll feed and love them as if they were my own! I can also ensure other odd-jobs are done if required such as putting out fresh water, staying to keep them company for a short period of time, bathing / washing them down post a long walk or anything else you would like for your furry friend! I'll do for them what you need for them to stay happy and content whilst you're out.
Information Gemma J. would like to know about your pet
Please do let me know of any special needs your dog might have and I'll accommodate for them. I have worked with particularly energetic dogs as well as dogs with anxiety issues or pups who need very specific, and changing, exercise needs. I know that the mental play is just as important as the physical, so will happily stay closer to home to play with their toys or take them for long adventures.
A typical day
Depending on your dogs' needs I'll walk locally or venture further afield in the car. I love to run through the woods, and often go to Esher Common where we can run through the forest and/or jump into the water to fetch sticks. I am happy to practice any skills you're training your dog to do and play the games you would usually do on your walks to keep things consistent for you and them. If your dog is a little more sedate, a gentle stroll from your house is also fine.

Pet care experience
Hello! It’s lovely to meet you but most importantly, I’m looking forward to meeting your furry friend! Here’s a little about me… I am available for the following services: - Dog Walking. I am happy to run, walk, or stroll with your dog depending on their exercise requirements. I've worked with working cockers and working labs to pups, so understand the needs of different size dogs and different breeds. I am a runner and I love the outdoors, so I am happy to spend as long as your dog needs to ensure they get the right exercise come rain or shine. If required and you have the facilities, I can also make sure they are mud free once they’re returned home!! - Drop in for feeding / company. If, like I used to be, your work takes you out of your home for extended periods of time, I am happy to help you with looking after your furry friend in your absence. I can pop in to let them out for a wee, feed them or just show them some love and keep them company. I have worked with anxious dogs with attachment issues and am happy to spend time with them, ensuring they are calm and happy while you’re out. I have always been a dog lover, growing up with spaniels as a little person. I have helped friends, family members and colleagues with their dogs before committing to it as a hobby and taking on 2 dogs as part of my exercise routine through borrow-my-doggy. Whilst I don't have a dog myself right now (my husband won the argument over dogs or cats when we were in our 20s and I was foolish!), I have always had dogs in my life. Due to being a cat owner, I can't take anyone's dogs into my home, so my support extends to home visits and walking. Not overnights stays either I'm afraid. As a mother of a young daughter and after what has been non-stop work for over 20 years, I have decided to take a career break. I have time on my hands and would love nothing more than to help you look after your pets. I am available any time-of-day Monday-Friday and most weekends with some restrictions. My only restriction on weekdays is the school run (8.45am and 3.25pm). I look forward to hearing from you.

I’m so very pleased my cat Julian was left with Gemma. She was very polite and kind and very informative throughout my holiday with lovely pictures and messages. ☺️ I would highly recommend her to anyone and definitely use her services again.👍🏻😁
Gemma was absolutely brilliant with our working cocker. He was always so happy to see her and came back tired! I wish we still lived closer so she could walk him still now x

Gemma is so reliable! A great communicator, loving with our dog and we’re very glad we found her. Highly recommend!
I've known Gemma for many years and during that time she has taken brilliant care of my dogs. She is very dependable, caring and all round wonderful with pets. I would highly recommend her. Thank you Gemma!!!
