“So happy with the care and attention Carolina puts into every visit she does. I am so happy Bubi has her when I have to be out and I always come back to such a happy cat! Thank you!”

“Cluny was a great pet sitter for us. Very time flexible and kept good communication. This was our first time using Rover/online pet sitter services and we had a fantastic experience thanks to Cluny. We would recommend the service in the future, thank you again Cluny!”

“Kaye is a lovely lady and wonderful with our two dogs Ozzee and Rockee. She is reliable and caring and they both love her. I would highly recommend Kaye. She has looked after our doggies twice for drop in visits and we have booked her for house sitting in June when I know they and our house will be in safe hands.”

About: I have been a dog owner since my early childhood. I have experience looking after puppies as well as senior dogs. I currently have a very energetic dog that requires lots of walks. She is very friendly and misses a lot her companion, our dachshund that passed away last year. I am in full time employment, however I work from home twice a week, Mondays and Fridays. I am also available for dog walks and pet sitting most weekends. I can house and pet sit or do drop in visits as and when needed provided it is within a driving distance and detailed instructions are provided with regards to pet care if your pet has custom requirements.

“Isobel did a wonderful job making sure The Boy(tm) was doing well while I was gone. I got updates letting me know how he was doing and it sounds like they got on well, having shared many a chin scritch. Will certainly be considering Isobel for future cat care requirements”

“Alina was amazing! From the introductory meeting through the end of her visits, she was extremely communicative. I get very anxious leaving my cat, but Alina’s updates and photos helped calm my anxiety. She really went above and beyond. And Nutmeg loved her! 😻”

About: I have had and loved dogs for all my life. From having just finished my rowing scholarship in the USA, I now want to delve into my other passions which is working with animals and animal care. My family has had purebreds from Rhodesian Ridgeback’s, Labradors, West Highland Terriers to rescues (that obviously are a whole range of breeds). We currently have two Romanian rescue dogs, Tora and Finn. They were both one year old when we got them and both had traumatic pasts. It has taken around a year for both of them to feel more settled and comfortable doing most things like even getting into a car. Thus, I have experience with dogs who have had a rough beginning. I am an active person and love going on hikes, jogs and camping trips with them. My favorite thing is to see any dog running around, tails up, happy and knowing I’m giving them a fun, adventure filled life that they deserve. I am available at the weekdays and weekends for walking, dog sitting and drop in visits. I am able to do longer hikes or jogs with your dogs too (if they are younger or high energy). If you leave them with me, they will have a great time, get some treats and will most likely come back to you tired and ready for a nap. I usually travel with my dogs in my dog seat cover / basket on my backseats. I will usually give my dogs treats occasionally throughout the day and probably yours too as well as making sure their water bowl is full. I will always chill with my dog too and play with them when they start getting their energy back. When I hike/ jog with my dogs, it will always be in a safe area and I usually try out new/different trails where I use an extender lead or let them off to explore (but, will obviously do whatever you would feel comfortable with in terms of on/off a lead). I will also adjust where I walk my dogs (or any dog) depending on the weather so, if it is hotter, I will usually walk them near a water source, forest or somewhere with shade. But, if it is cooler, I would more likely go to places like the ridgeway etc… where the sun would be a problem for longer walks. Your dog will most likely get muddy or wet on walks (with the crazy English weather) but, I always use towels to dry/ clean them up
About: I've helped with pets since I was a child but actively cared for dogs and cats for the last 10 years. Used to dealing with animals with prescription and lifestyle requirements, happy to discuss your pets individualities and adhere to their schedules where possible. I work from home so can be there for them when needed. HR professional working hybrid. I work in the office on Thursdays so cannot look after pets that day between 7am and 7pm but otherwise working from home throughout the week so I can be flexible all day around my video and telephone call meetings. For drop in visits, it will likely be early morning and evening with possibly an additional visit at lunch time depending on the location. I have one dog and 2 cats at home. Used to helping with medication, walking (dog only!), vet visits and feeding schedules. I understand all pets are different and look at each opportunity to meet your pets individually. I understand routine can be very important and would look to keep this for you pet (especially in your absence), if possible.

About: I’ve been looking after my sisters cockapoo and my friends cockapoo and English bull terrier - either dropping in to feed and let them out or overnight stays when they’ve been away. I love looking after dogs and enjoy going on walks no matter how long. My prices outside of rover are: £35 a day, £40 a night and £14 a walk. So happy to sort payments outside of rover so it’s not as expensive. I am currently working part time so will have a lot of time to play and walk on my days off and even walk dogs before and after my shifts 🙂 I will ensure your pet is fed, walked and entertained as per instructions. Will only take on 1 pet at a time for overnight stays so they can have my full attention and love unless they are from the same household then I am happy with more than 1

About: I’ve always been a dog person: I grew up with terriers and later rescued a collie, so I’m used to everything from cheeky, high‑energy pups to clever working breeds who need plenty of stimulation. I love long walks, playing games, and giving dogs the attention they deserve. Whether your dog needs a fun adventure or a gentle, confidence‑building stroll, I’m here to make sure they have a great time. I have a tiny cat called pepper, and greatly appreciate my wonderful friends that visit her when I am travelling. I am keen to give back and ensure that pet lovers can enjoy their travels, in the confidence that their furry friend is taken care of. I am currently exploring new roles following a recent redundancy. I am available any day or time, but would be particularly thrilled to have some furry company during the day on weekdays. I always offer a meet and greet, to ensure I have all the necessary information, and that you are comfortable leaving your pet in my care.
About: I’ve cared for pets of all shapes and sizes—from energetic puppies to senior dogs who need a little extra love. Over the years, I’ve gained hands-on experience with daily walks, playtime, feeding routines, and even administering medication. I believe every pet deserves personalised care, so I take the time to learn their unique personalities and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I work Monday to Friday, with varying hours but I will never work later than half 4 and can often find time for visits during the working day if close enough to work. I’m free most weekends, which I usually fill up with going to the gym. I have no other commitments other than my full time job so I can put all of my attention and love into looking after your pets, I live in a safe area with vast amount of land for walks with your loved ones

About: I've had dogs as a child as part of the family and known how important they are to their owner. More recently I have cats (3) and whilst living in Jordan I fostered several cats and found them homes. I'm used to large dogs, elderly dogs and excited puppies and thoroughly enjoy walking them and keeping them company. If you need someone to pop in and check on your furfamily during the day whilst you're away, stay the night or walk them I can help. I'm a teacher so have half terms free for when you may sant to get away. I don't have children so not dictated by this factor either. I'm not offering board at my home. However I will follow whatever instructions you leave since it will be different for each furfamily. Happy to clear litter trays, play with your pets for mental stimulation or take for walks.

About: I've grown up with cats and dogs at home and I've taken care of pets for friends and family over the years. I love being around them, caring for them and giving them love. I have a miniature daschund myself and he's the sweetest boy. I'd have more pets in a heartbeat if I could. I'd love to take care of your furbabies. It would be my pleasure. I work full time Mon-Fri but there's a lot of flexibility with my job. I can pop out and pop in as needed so caring for your pet is no problem at all. I will follow all your instructions when caring for your pet in your home. You will have daily updates (if preferred) so you can rest assured that all is well with your pets throughout my time with them.
About: I have long experience looking after my own animals over the years, dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, ducks and guinea fowl. I have lived in remote places and had to adapt as situations arose. Now returning to Oxfordshire I want to broaden to looking after animals when people need the help of someone with common sense and a love for animals. I am currently at home and therefore very flexible, I do work away from home periodically and am looking for a job that takes me outside in the fresh air and don't mind the weather. I am happy to get out and about with your pet as well as be at home. I'm just as happy sitting and keeping company as I am doing food, hygiene, medicines and visits out. I don't have any pets in my current home so am able to be fully focused on yours.
About: I’ve been caring for pets since 2022 across several platforms, from energetic puppies and affectionate cats to rabbits, lizards, and even the occasional guinea pig. At home, I’m a proud cat mum to Quilla, my 4-year-old feline companion who keeps me on my toes and reminds me how every pet has its own personality and needs. I treat every animal I look after as if they were my own, with patience, love, and a focus on safety and comfort. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, feeding, or following special care instructions, I pay attention to every detail to make sure your furry friend feels secure, stimulated, and happy while you’re away. Since I work from home, I’m around throughout the day to give your pet plenty of attention, companionship, and outdoor breaks. My flexible schedule means I can easily adjust to feeding times, walks, and cuddle breaks, ensuring your pet’s routine stays consistent and stress-free. Our house is a modest size safe home. No children and has a decent garden fully fenced. Our home is a calm, clean, and pet-safe environment, fully equipped for both active pets and those who prefer quiet company. We have secure indoor spaces, a cozy resting area, and plenty of room for play and enrichment. Pets are never left unsupervised, and I always tailor the setup to suit their comfort level and routine.

About: Hi, I’m Alex - a reliable, caring dog sitter who understands that dogs aren’t “just pets”, they’re family. I know how important it is to leave your dog with someone you can genuinely trust, so I focus on making dogs feel safe, comfortable, loved and understood while you’re away. I have hands-on experience with a strong-willed, sensitive dog of my own, which has taught me a huge amount about dog behaviour, body language, routines, emotional regulation and building trust. Because of that, I’m especially attentive to each dog’s individual personality and needs, whether they’re energetic, anxious, reactive, cuddly, independent or just need a calm environment and consistency. I work from home, so I’m flexible and able to keep dogs company, maintain their routine and give them plenty of attention and care throughout the day. I’ll always follow your dog’s usual routine as closely as possible, including walks, feeding, sleep setup, medication, boundaries and training cues, because I know familiarity helps dogs feel safe, settled and secure. I also understand how important it is for owners to feel confident that their dog is being cared for in the way they’re used to. I’m DBS checked, reliable and detail-oriented, and I’ll always treat your dog with the same care, patience and affection I would my own. I’ll also respect your home and keep everything clean, safe and well looked after while I’m there.

Cat owners share their Rover experiences - Vale of White Horse
Carolina is an absolute life-saver!! We were delayed by a day arriving into the UK but our pets were already dropped off and needed to be checked on. Carolina immediately replied to my request and was available on short notice. She walked my dog, fed both babies, gave them water, cleaned out our cat's crate as she had peed from her long travel and just truly went above and beyond anything I could've asked for! She went on to do a few more dropins giving us peace of mind during our stressful travel! I will gladly book her in the future and would highly recommend her services to anyone in need! She is the best!!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
