“Chelsea loved Kaye from the moment they met. Kaye looked after Chelsea so well and sent me daily updates, videos and photos of their daily walks/adventures and all the other routine stuff. We came back to a very happy and content little girl! Kaye also looked after our home beautifully and left it immaculate. I can fully recommend her and will definitely be using her services again.”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs and have been caring for them for most of my life, including helping with puppies and being present during the birthing process. Animals have always been a natural part of my world, so I bring comfort and understanding into every pet I look after. I began pet sitting professionally in 2016–2017 for my university lecturer, caring for her three small dogs. This included walking them together and taking them on regular beach trips. Since then, I’ve continued to pet sit for family and friends, and more recently, alongside my wellbeing business, I’ve developed a pet sitting service which is rooted in calm, attentive care (roughly 3 years professional experience excluding my upbringing). I’ve looked after dogs, cats, chickens, and even alpacas, and I’m confident administering medication when needed, such as treating an ear infection in golden retriever I've looked after or supporting older pets with daily care needs. I also cared for my childhood dog into her senior years (18 years old), including adapting to her changing needs with nappies and gentle support. Over time, I’ve worked with a wide range of breeds including Dachshunds, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Border Collies, Belgian Malinois, Dobermans, Jack Russell Terriers, Chihuahuas, Spaniels, and Labradors. I naturally bring a calm, grounding energy, which helps animals feel safe and settled quickly. I’m confident following routines closely so pets feel at home and secure in their environment. I also enjoy training basic skills and reinforcing good habits in a gentle, consistent way. I love walking in all weather and being outdoors with dogs. However, in very hot weather, I always prioritise safety by walking early in the day or late in the evening. It’s also important to me to take care of the home as if it were my own, keeping things clean, respected, and secure so you can fully relax while you’re away. For me, this kind of care is never just about looking after pets, it’s about creating a calm, safe space for both animals and home, so everything feels steady, settled, and cared for until you return. My other business is incredibly flexible and fully online, which allows me to prioritise the routines of the pets I am caring for above everything else. I structure my day around their needs first, and then schedule my work around them. I may have meetings during the day (usually up to around 3 hours in total, spread out), however I always plan these carefully so that I can still check in on the pets regularly throughout the day and maintain their routine. I never leave pets unattended for long periods, and I make sure they are comfortable, settled, and have everything they need before stepping into any work commitments. When I am not in meetings, I often work from home alongside the pets, so they have company and a calm presence around them. In my spare time, depending on the weather and the individual dog, I also enjoy taking them on short trips out, as long as they are comfortable travelling and happy to walk. Before I arrive, I ask owners to complete a detailed form covering routines, vet information, medication, and any important behavioural notes. This means I can follow their normal routine as closely as possible and refer back to it throughout my stay. I plan my schedule around this information so the pet’s routine remains consistent and steady. I send regular pupdates for fun and reassurance, and I will always get in touch if anything concerns me, such as noticing a lump, change in behaviour, or anything that feels out of the ordinary. When staying in a home, I am very mindful about safety and security. I always double check doors, windows, and gates are properly closed and secured, ensuring pets cannot escape and the home remains safe. Keeping both the animals and the property secure is a top priority for me.

“I would highly recommend Jodie. She was very communicative and bonded well with my elderly dog (15). She kept me informed regularly including photos and left the house in a very good condition - clean and tidy. She appeared to be very responsive to my dog's needs and I returned to a happy dog. I have rebooked for my next trip away.”

“Jessica is one of the loveliest people, and it’s just a joy to have met her and have her look after my two dogs. She came to stay at our house and I trusted her as soon as I met her. She was such a caring, friendly presence, and an excellent communicator. I’d recommend her without hesitation. The dogs loved her. I can’t thank her enough x x x”

“Judith was fantastic - communicated quickly, arrived in time and was super friendly and looked after our dog really well (putting up with his slightly reactive to TV ways!) . I would highly recommend”

About: I’ve been caring for animals since I was 11 years old and have experience with dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens. Growing up, my family had two cats, and I was responsible for their daily care, feeding and giving them plenty of love and attention. My family dog has always been my baby, and although I have now moved out the family home, I have been heavily involved in his care throughout his life. I regularly fed and walked him, groomed him, clipped his nails, and made sure he was happy, healthy, and well cared for. I’ve also looked after neighbours’ cats and dogs while they were away on holiday and have cared for friends’ dogs, giving me experience with pets of different ages, breeds, and personalities. In addition, I have experience helping care for newborn puppies, including bottle-feeding. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I genuinely love spending time with them. I understand that every pet is part of the family, and I will care for yours with the same patience, affection, and attention that I give to my own. Me and my fiancé do work full time but I work from home on Mondays and I have a day off every other Friday so can be there all day and provide full attention on Mondays, every other Friday and at the weekends. Unfortunately, in the week I am not at home in the day Tuesday-Thursday/Friday but I am always back home by 5pm or earlier if I am working so if that works for you then amazing! If not, then I will be around all the time Friday-Monday for any weekend bookings. I have a fenced garden and a little cosy one bed house. Pets are welcomed in the bed and on the sofa (or not if you want that boundary upheld!) but I will welcome them like my own. We have a lovely load of fields right by our house which are a beautiful and fun long walk. We do not currently have any pets of our own and this is genuinely just because my family dog is by baby and I would feel like I am betraying him by getting another baby so hopefully we can welcome your fur babies instead to fill that gap in our lives when we don’t have my family dog to stay! :)
“Craig did an excellent job looking after our cat and giant breed Scottish Deerhound, they seemed very happy and well looked after on our return from a week long trip. Received plenty of updated and photos for peace of mind. Will 100% book Craig again if we need sitting services in the future, and I am sure our pets would love to see him again. Thanks again Craig!”

“Liis and I first met virtually over a zoom call and then met in person to chat about Tilly and have a walk in the woods. Tilly and Liis bonded immediately and I knew that I could leave for my holiday with Tilly in safe and happy hands. During our holiday, Liis kept in touch with WhatsApp chats, photos and videos. It meant a completely relaxing holiday while Tilly was enjoying her ‘holiday’ too. Liis kept the house in immaculate order, dealt cheerfully with post and deliveries and anything else that cropped up. Liis is lovely - charming, warm and kind and highly professional. I have no hesitation in recommending her to any future Rover clients.”

“Hannah was amazing with Nova, who is a very shy and nervous dog. She was so patient and gave her the time and space she needed to settle and feel safe. As this was the first time we had left Nova with someone outside our close family for a full week, Hannah’s daily updates, photos and video, were incredibly reassuring. It was lovely to see that Nova was very quickly happy and comfortable in her care. Hannah also left the house sparkling clean and, most thoughtfully of all, she waited for our return home on a Sunday night to make sure Nova had her dinner and that we did not have any issues with our return flight. Hannah's attention and dedication to making us and our dog feel reassured during our time apart was beyond expectation.”

About: Hi, welcome to our page! We’re Luke and Jo, a caring and experienced pet-loving duo who have both grown up surrounded by animals. Jo has adored all dogs from a young age and has plenty of hands-on experience caring for family and friends’ pets, with a natural ability to read animals’ cues, needs, and values their unique, quirky personalities. Luke has also spent most of his life around animals, particularly cats and dogs, and has a strong interest in dog training. He’s confident teaching basic skills to dogs of any age, loves being active and outdoors, and is comfortable handling larger dogs. For bigger or stronger pets, Luke typically takes the lead on walks due to his strength, while we both provide attentive, loving care. Together, we offer a calm, fun, and nurturing environment where pets are treated like family, with plenty of love, structure, and enrichment. Jo and Luke both work full time during the week, but we’re readily available for pet care on weekends, with Luke also available on some Fridays. We are occasionally free in the evenings during the week, so please feel free to enquire as we can be flexible! As we don’t currently have pets of our own, or any children, we’re able to be flexible with our time and fully focus on each pet’s routine, needs, and comfort. When caring for your pet, we make them a priority and ensure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship. When caring for pets in an owner’s home, we are always respectful and conscientious. We both value cleanliness and take great care to treat each home as if it were our own, ensuring everything is left secure, tidy, and well looked after. You can trust that your pet and your home will be in safe, responsible hands.
“Edit took excellent care of my sweet but nervous labradoodle for the weekend. Communication was excellent, Snowy immediately took to her and was a fantastic experience end to end. I would definitely use Edit's services again. Five stars.”

“Alice is always on time and sends us a picture of our pup. We’re very comfortable with her sitting for us if we’re away or if we just need her to pop in for a dog walk. Would recommend!”
“Ines was punctual, calm, and cool. She has a presence that is grounding for animals and humans alike - Nuka was quickly at ease and physically comfortable with her. They walked, played, and I got lovely pictures of Nuka fast asleep on the couch. Highly recommended.”

“Hollie took great care of our big older dog for nearly a week. He had some specific medical needs and she followed those wonderfully. She was also so considerate and tidy sitting him at our home. Thanks for taking such good care of him, Hollie!”

“Ellie took fantastic care of our puppy Pippa for the day! She took her for a lovely walk and sent us pictures of how she was getting on. Ellie is lovely and punctual, we’d definitely recommend her ☺️ thanks again Ellie!”

About: I’m a huge animal lover and since the age of 4, I have always had one or more dogs in the house. I have experience in training my own dogs at home and out on walks. I’m currently at university and also working part time so this would fit perfectly into my spare time and be a great break from my uni work. If you decide you’d like me to stay for a few days then I’d be able to work from home on these days! In my home we have a fenced off garden and a large area for the dog/dogs to run around in. We have lots of walking routes and fields local but I’m also happy to take the dogs to different locations out of the area too!
About: I love pets and have 6 of my own. I worked for We love Pets for a couple of years and trained in pet first aid. Two dogs one small breed terrier that’s full of energy and absolutely ball crazy. My second dog is a lab already a old girl and the gentle giant in the family. Then there is four cats of different sizes and temperament making up a lot of experience with pets all around. I walk my own dogs for an hour at 6am and then again in the evening. I have time every afternoon to walk as my pups get too tired having two walks a day already. I enjoy walks in parks and high energy playful dogs as well. Especially if it includes ball throwing. If your fur baby has any quirks or specific requirements then just let me know in advance. I currently work with pets full time and have a great relationship with my customers. I can do walks every day depending on my schedule. I have a fenced in garden and lovely walks near my home. Also a large crate available for dogs that nap better in a crate.
“Margarita looked after our very old and nervous dog with real care - this meant that we were able to go away sure that he was being cared for, which was completely invaluable and meant we weren't worried. She is excellent - thank you Margarita!”

“Another incredible experience with Holly, who took the very best care of our beloved Casper & Pearl. Holly is incredibly communicative, caring and kind, and we knew our little ones were in the best of hands. That kind of peace of mind is truly priceless!”

We have two rescue collies who can be a handful at times. Danielle is the only person we trust to look after them when family members aren’t available to assist. She is professional, kind and great with them both. She provides us with updates and M&M love her… so, it makes us feel so much more comfortable leaving them knowing they are in her hands. We cannot recommend her enough☺️

Maria looked after our 10 month old puppy Pippa overnight whilst we were at a wedding. Maria sent several updates whilst we were away and Pippa had a great time! We could really tell how much Maria loved Pippa and loves dogs in general which was really lovely :-) we would definitely recommend booking with Maria!

Craig did an excellent job looking after our cat and giant breed Scottish Deerhound, they seemed very happy and well looked after on our return from a week long trip. Received plenty of updated and photos for peace of mind. Will 100% book Craig again if we need sitting services in the future, and I am sure our pets would love to see him again. Thanks again Craig!

Vicky was great from start to finish. She took time at the meet and greet to get to know our dogs and their needs and asked lots of questions. During her stay Vicky kept us updated and included photos. Not only did Vicky do an excellent job of looking after our dogs she took great care of our house including watering our many plants! I wouldn't hesitate in booking Vicky again and highly recommend.

- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Vale of White Horse choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
