About: I’ve lived with dogs and other animals my entire life, so I am very much an animal lover at heart. I love big and small breeds so would be happy to look after any and I will carefully abide by any requirements you have (medicine, feeding times, walking times and lengths of walks,etc.) I have also cared for dogs with difficulties and am happy to help with this too. I have previous work experience as a leading kennel hand, however I prefer the care given to pets when cared for by a trusted pet sitter hence why I now offer these services myself. I am used to caring for plenty of my own pets on a day to day basis and am home focusing on art majority of the time, so love to have the company of a furry friend and make sure they have a fabulous time too! I also have a family member (also fellow animal lover) in the household who is working from home so it is very easy for us to give our full attention and care to any animals. This means I am also available nights/evenings to house sit with pets. We have a fenced in garden so it’s all safe and plenty of local areas to walk, wether your dog prefers little streams or open fields and wooded areas! Dogs are also allowed anywhere in the house so they feel more comfortable and will hardly ever be left alone, if they even are.

Not only did she look after our cat and the house beautifully, she went above and beyond, dealing with extra issues that came up along the way and even thinking of asking us if we needed anything like milk and bread for our return. She left the house spotless for us which was absolutely lovely to come back to. During our absence, she kept me posted with pictures and videos and we all noticed how happy Rasmus looked--he obviously adores Nicola! We would be delighted to have Nicola permanently as our cat/house sitter and really hope she will come back next time.”

I’m comfortable with the everyday responsibilities that come with having a pet, from feeding and walks to playtime, keeping them company and making sure they’re settled and comfortable. I’ve always enjoyed being around animals and tend to be quite attentive to them. I think it’s important to pay attention to their individual personalities and routines rather than treating every pet the same. Some animals are very sociable and want lots of attention, while others are more independent or take a little longer to feel comfortable with someone new. Whether it’s a walk, a drop in visit, looking after them in their own home or having them stay with me, I’d make sure they get the care and attention they’re used to. I’m also happy to follow any specific routines or instructions you have, so there’s as little disruption to their normal day as the possible. I work Monday to Friday and work from home on Wednesdays and Fridays, which gives me more flexibility for pet care during the week. On my work-from-home days, I’m able to fit in walks or drop-in visits and can also provide company during the day. Outside of work, I’m generally available in the evenings and at weekends. I’m happy to work around your pet’s routine and fit in walks, visits or longer stays depending on what you need. My schedule means I can offer a good mix of weekday and weekend availability while still keeping pet care manageable alongside my usual routine. I want pets to feel comfortable and settled, whether they’re staying with me or I’m looking after them in their own home. I’d always take the time to understand their usual routine, personality and any specific instructions from their owner before looking after them. In my home, I’d make sure they have a calm, safe space and would keep an eye on them throughout their stay. I’d also follow any rules around food, walks, sleeping arrangements or anything else they’re used to. For walks and drop-ins, I’d be mindful of their surroundings and make sure they’re safe and supervised at all times. I understand that trusting someone with your pet is a big responsibility.
