“We are ‘parents’ to a very anxious sausage dog with severe separation anxiety and were quite anxious ourselves about finding a good match to care for him whilst we were away overseas with my parents for two weeks over Christmas. We had never left him with anyone but family before. After months of searching, we thought we had found someone who would work but were let down at the last minute and were feeling pretty desperate. Imogen was an answer to our prayers! We felt comfortable with Imogen from the first meeting and Winston even warmed to her right away which is very unusual. She kept in touch with daily photos, videos and messages that made us smile and assured us amid our own ‘separation anxiety’. It was clear Winston’s we’ll being was her first priority. Our pup doesn’t take to people easily but he was kissing her hand when she left. Imogen left our house very tidy and clean as well, so we could immediately relax after a long couple of flights. We can’t recommend her highly enough and hope Winston can spend time with his new favourite person again sometime soon.”

She went above and beyond throughout her stay, exercising him twice a day and even serving up chicken and rice when he had an upset stomach! Not only did she look after our cat and the house beautifully, she went above and beyond, dealing with extra issues that came up along the way and even thinking of asking us if we needed anything like milk and bread for our return. She left the house spotless for us which was absolutely lovely to come back to. During our absence, she kept me posted with pictures and videos and we all noticed how happy Rasmus looked--he obviously adores Nicola! We would be delighted to have Nicola permanently as our cat/house sitter and really hope she will come back next time.”

About: Hi! I'm Kat, I've looked after my own cats myself and within my family for as long as I can remember, and have actively been involved in looking after them since the age of 4! I've had so many cats in my lifetime, and am a kind, caring and loving person who loves a cat snuggle or two, or many! Starting off with Charlie and Willie, then Tuffy (who we adopted from the RSPCA with 3 legs, had him for 10 years before he passed away in January 2020), Pebbles & Pitch (brother and sister), and now Smudge and Squeak. We had 5 years with Charlie and Willie, over 10 wonderful years with Tuffy, and have had brother/sister cat pairs for around 6 years collectively. We have had Smudge alone for around 2 years, due to her brother Squeak passing away due to a car accident.

About: A little about me 🐾 I’m basically the go to pet sitter for friends and family, although I don’t have any pets of my own at the moment, I’m usually looking after everyone else’s! Whether they come and stay with me or I stay at theirs, I absolutely love having animals around. I treat every pet like they’re my own - lots of walks, adventures, playtime, cuddles and of course…plenty of treats 🐶🐱 I love taking dogs out on fun days, finding new places to explore and making sure they’re having just as good a time as their humans are. I’m also more than happy with a cosy night in and some four-legged company. Basically, your pet will be thoroughly spoilt, very well loved and probably wonder why you’ve come back so soon! 💜 I’m currently working as a freelancer, so I work from home and have lots of flexibility with my time. This means I can easily fit pet care around my day rather than leaving them alone for long periods. I actually love having a reason to step away from my laptop for a walk, so it works perfectly for both me and the pet! I’m happy to adapt my routine around their usual walks, feeding times and needs. I’m happy to either have pets stay at my home or look after them in their own home, depending on what works best for them. At my home, I have a fully fenced garden, big comfy sofas and plenty of space for them to relax and feel at home. I’ll keep to their normal routine as much as possible, with lots of walks, playtime, attention and, of course, cuddles! If I’m staying at a pet owner’s home, I’ll make sure their pet is comfortable and cared for in their familiar surroundings, while sticking to their usual routine and any specific instructions you leave me.

About: I have had dogs now for almost 10 years and have trained and walked multiple dogs of friends and family. I am certified dog trainer and know all basic training techniques. I have a small home but plenty of walking trails and fields. Me and my partner work opposite shifts so we would be able to take care of your pets through the whole day. Overnight or weekends are always welcome. I have a fenced yard with plenty of comfy spots. We have a 7am breakfast time and 7pm dinner time but can be flexible to the needs of your dog.

About: What sets me apart is my experience, patience and understanding of animal behaviour. I do not believe in a one size fits all approach to caring for animals. Every pet is an individual, with their own personality, needs and experiences, and I take the time to understand and work with them at their own pace. During and after my 3 years at Merrist Wood College, learning to work with and care for them, I have worked with a wide variety of animals, including dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, reptiles, farm animals and British wildlife. This experience has given me a strong understanding of animal behaviour and body language, including how to recognise when an animal may be anxious, fearful, overwhelmed or reactive. I am particularly patient with animals who may need extra time to build trust or feel comfortable in a new situation. Whether your pet is nervous, reactive, highly energetic, elderly, has specific needs or simply takes a little longer to warm up to new people, I take a calm, gentle and individual approach. I never force interaction and instead allow animals to build confidence at their own pace. With over 13 years of experience working with animals, I bring a calm, patient and observant approach to every pet I care for. I believe that building trust is one of the most important parts of animal care, and i take great pride in forming genuine connections with animals - even those who may initially find new people or situations difficult.
