“Jade looked after our dog, Winnie, for eight nights, and we couldn't have been happier with the care she received. From the very first communication, Jade was warm, friendly, and reassuring. Winnie had a trial day before her stay, and on both occasions she ran straight in as soon as the front door opened, which told us everything we needed to know! Jade kept us updated throughout Winnie's stay with regular photos, which was greatly appreciated. At no point did I worry about Winnie's welfare, and considering the UK was in the middle of a heatwave, that was especially reassuring. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Jade to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy dog boarder. Winnie was clearly happy and well looked after, and we'll definitely be booking with Jade again”

“Henry & Luna had a fantastic stay with Eddie & William over the Easter break. They arranged a meet and greet before the stay and kept us updated daily with photos. We managed to enjoy our time away and relax fully knowing that our pups were having the best time and were very well looked after. Have already rebooked for another stay in summer!”

“Thank you so much to Jaco and his family for looking after Marley whilst we were away on a first holiday away from him!. Marley had a little stay overnight with Jaco earlier in the year which had really set our mind at ease. Marley was with Jaco's family this time for just under 2 weeks. Though we missed him so much, it made such a difference getting Jaco's updates and messages complete with lots of photos. We could see he was getting lots of love and attention - and lovely rural walks too! It was a tremendous relief and gave us such peace of mind. When we picked Marley up he was his usual happy and bouncy self. Would highly recommend Jaco for anyone looking for a safe, loving home from home for your pets. He and his family really care and it made such a difference. We will definitely reach out to Jaco once again if we need to be away.”

About: Hi everyone! As someone who has grown up with cats my entire life, and always worried about leaving my precious fur babies in someone else’s care, I completely understand the questions, concerns, and anxieties that come with choosing a cat sitter. Your cats are family, and finding someone you can trust is so important. Below are some of the questions I get asked most often. If there’s anything else you’d like to know, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. No question is too small! Do you have experience looking after cats? Absolutely! I have grown up with cats all my life so I am not stranger to their needs and I am currently a proud cat dad to a gorgeous girl: Doris, my beautiful tortoiseshell domestic shorthair (although I mostly call her “Tidley” because she’s such a tiny kitty!). While I love being an uncle to my nieces and nephews, I’ll admit it… I’m a cat dad through and through! Caring for cats isn’t just something I do, it’s something I genuinely love.

“Freya was superb. Engaged and communication great prior to her house and cat sitting. We met beforehand to discuss everything and she kept me updated whilst we were away. Thanks Freya. Reliable, trustworthy and looked after my fur babies!”

Having taken a short break from clinical work to go travelling I miss my furry friends and would love the opportunity to get to know yours! I’m currently taking a break from working having returned from a few months of travelling so I’m available to walk and play with your pets at a time that suits you best. I have two lovely cats of my own, but this means unfortunately I cannot have your pets over for a sleepover. But I love visiting pets in their own space and keeping them company. Having a stranger in your home can be daunting so I’m always respectful of any rules you have in place!

About: Hi, my name is Taeya, I am a student of ecology and wildlife conservation at the University of Reading. I have always loved and cared for animals, whether they are pets or wild ones. Having family pets has meant I have developed a great attention for what our furry friends need for a happy and healthy life. I have lived in the countryside most of my life, and I love spending time outdoors, on walks and explorations. Previous jobs, such as dog/cat/house sitting, early years education, and caring for older adults, have enabled me to develop excellent communication skills and an ease in dealing with messes and cleaning. I can be adaptable to all family needs, being a fast learner, I can quickly pick up skills or practices. Working with animals is always a joy, understanding the wonderful and different characters of all pets. I can provide private work references on request. I am a final year university student living at home with my family. I commute to and from Reading a few days a week in term time and study remotely otherwise. My schedule is very flexible and ever-changing. I have a good size fenced garden in the countryside, with 2 small and friendly dogs that are good company. Walks in the area can span from 30 minutes to 4 hours and more. There is also a dog walking park near where I live so that’s a great place to go if dogs need some time off the lead but also in a safe environment.

“This was my first booking with Charlotte ( and Rover) and it was a great start. Charlotte connected quickly and easily with Spook who responded well to her quiet calm style. He obviously had a good time. He was really relaxed when I got home. Thank you”

About: I have such a genuine love for animals, they bring us so much happiness and it would be my pleasure to take care of any pet. We trained guide dogs as a family when I was young and I regularly look after friends and neighbours pets. I don’t have my own dog yet as I want to be fully settled before making the commitment that is needed, however this is a great way for me to spend time with dogs before then and help people out whilst doing that. I am happy with any breed or type of dog, am psychically fit myself and love long walks. I am waiting to begin a new job so I am free a lot of the time, lots of time for long walks and looking after pets. I treat pets like family, I love dogs so much and can read their body language well. They entertain me as much as I’ll entertain them!

About: hello im Georgia. I have never done a job like this before but i have 26 years experience with my own animals and now 2 years with rover. I have previously had 2 cats and a dog called Charlie (living at my mothers house). We are always first point of call for sleepovers with the dogs in our family and our friends dogs have been welcomed here many times too. We welcome all sizes, and a perfect holiday for your dog even if they're a little bit crazy. I work self employed as an aesthetician so I spend a lot of time at home, and grateful to also be a Mumma to a 5 year old girl who goes to school Monday-Friday. I have always had dogs and i treat my charlie like my child so i know i would never want him in the wrong hands. I consider myself to have a very big heart which is why i have so much love and time for animals. I have plenty experience with dog walking and being patient with my animals. I can provide you with regular pupdates and pictures so you know how your pet is and what they are up to. If you require your dog to be crated then we can accommodate to this also so that your dog isn't out of routine. We have plenty of local parks for your dogs to explore. We want your pets to be safe and happy in our care so will require some information from you to ensure that your dog has the best time possible and that our house is prepped and suitable for your dogs requirements. If there are any requests then please don't hesitate to let us know. We will try to accommodate the best we can. This is unlike a kennel setting, just your dog going from one home to another, prepared for hours of belly tickles. I currently am at home apart from the school run. My daughter goes to school and my partner works hybrid so is also home a few days a week so what better way to spend my lonely free time than getting my fitness up and making furry friends. My mums dog is an escape artist and I am now a professional at having eyes on the back of my head

“Hannah looked after our dogs, Nala and Henry, and they seemed to have a great time with her. We really appreciated her flexibility and the way she worked with their routine. We’d be happy to have her look after them again.”

“James was lovely from start to finish. Very communicative about what was needed in advance, and you could tell they are used to dealing with dogs. The family were very friendly and our dog came back happy! We received updates whilst we were out which was nice.”

“Nicola and her family were just fantastic. Branston loved staying with them and the family loved having him. Nicola is a very caring person and loves dogs. Nicola also sends lots of doggy updates and pics and knowing our dog was being well looked after just meant we could enjoy our break without worrying.”

About: I have a degree in animal management and I have been a genuine dog lover since I was a tiny child! I have two dogs of my own, a beautiful Irish Setter and a Cocker Spaniel. I work from home 4 days a week and love to walk in the countryside where I live. I am able to do up to three walks a day and while I’m at home boarders will have access to a generous fenced garden. Boarders will sleep and be fed separately to my dogs to prevent any issues and can be walked separately if required. I work predominantly from home Tues-Friday and typically do a walk in the morning before breakfast, a walk at lunchtime if the weather is not excessively hot (rain doesn’t bother us!) and a walk in the evening before dinner. Dogs are given access to the garden during the day when I am home to supervise. On Mondays dogs are left between 8:30 and 3pm but are walked before I leave and upon my return. Boarders will be kept apart from my own dogs when unsupervised. I have a fenced garden that has proved secure for both of my dogs. Both my dogs are friendly, dog-social and are up to date on their flea, tick, worming and vaccinations. I have two young children who are used to interacting with dogs however children and dogs are never left alone unsupervised or allowed to play without adult assistance. Boarding dogs are always fed and sleep separately to my own dogs.
“We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Such a lovely family with an amazing garden where Cognac had the best time. They kept us updated throughout with thorough updates and stunning quality photos. Cognac clearly had a blast and they made him feel right at home. We will definitely be booking again – highly recommend!”

“We feel so lucky to have found Eleanor and Raymond. Our dog Bear had a short stay with them and they took exceptional care of him. We knew he was in the best of hands. We received regular photos and updates and you could tell he had become a member of the family. Everything about booking with Eleanor is 5 star - the communication, organisation, friendliness and care. Thank you!”

“It was our first time using the Rover app and we couldn’t have been luckier with picking Carly to look after our puppy! She was wonderful from start to finish! Our dog has just returned from his holiday with Carly and cried at the door for her when she left! Thank you for making the process of leaving him overnight for the first time so easy and being so thoughtful and kind with all your communication! We will 100 per cent be using you again!”
