About: Hi, I'm Paula and I live in Witney with my husband and my lovely fur baby, Bella. I work from home so I am lucky to enjoy Bella's company most of the day (and cuddling her when she lets me!) I have had a cat since childhood and throughout most of my adult life (I am in my 50's now) and my current and three previous cats were all rescues. I work in administration and am very organised, dedicated and reliable. I can look after you cat(s) before work, during the day, after work and weekends. I wear a 'uniform ' so i do not smell of my cat when I look after yours. I can also offer dog walking service in the evenings and weekends I work from home so can do short cat sitting visits in the morning before work, longer during the day and an hour or so in the evening (or as required) and all weekend. I can offer dog walking services in the evenings and weekends too. I will always fuss your cat first, then do feeding followed by refreshing water bowls and litter trays. I will play with your cat and cuddle them as much or as little as they want.

Sofia looked after Reya for a morning, and Reya was so happy to see her, she forgot about everyone else when Sofia arrived, even though they had only met once. I was away with work at the time and it was lovely to see the photos in the updates Sofia sent. Thank you so much, we will definitely ask for your help again.

Lily responded promptly and communicated well, before and during her stay. She is confident with dogs, and clearly loves them. I had no concerns at all, leaving her with my slightly anxious (and sometimes bad-mannered ! ) rescue dog, and he was very relaxed and happy with her. Thank you, Lily

I have years of experience looking after different breeds, both my own dog and friends dogs in the past. Whether your dog loves long adventures, energetic runs, or a slower paced stroll with plenty of sniffing, I'm happy to tailor every walk to their individual needs. I have access to the beautiful grounds around Estelle Manor, which provide a fantastic setting for safe, varied, and enjoyable walks and runs. From high-energy exercise to relaxed outings, I'll make sure your dog gets the attention and activity that's right for them. Your dog's wellbeing, happiness, and safety are always my priority. I'm dependable, attentive, and committed to treating every dog as if they were my own, ensuring they feel comfortable, cared for, and loved while they're with me. I look forward to meeting you and your four legged friend! What to Expect Every dog is different, so I tailor each day to suit their personality, energy level, and routine. Before the Walk I'll arrive on time, make sure your dog is comfortable, and take a few moments to understand how they're feeling that day. Whether they're full of energy or prefer a gentler pace, I'll adapt accordingly. During the Walk Your dog will enjoy a fun, safe, and engaging walk, with plenty of opportunities to sniff, explore, and exercise. For active dogs, I have access to the beautiful grounds around Estelle Manor, where they can enjoy longer walks or runs. If your dog prefers a slower pace, I'm equally happy to provide a relaxed stroll with lots of attention and enrichment. Care & Attention Your dog's safety and happiness are my top priorities. I'll make sure they have fresh water after their walk, clean muddy paws if needed, and give them plenty of affection and reassurance throughout our time together. After the Walk I'll send you an update with photos (if you'd like), letting you know where we went, how your dog got on, and anything you should know. You can expect your dog to return home happy, well exercised, and cared for. Whether your dog is energetic, nervous, young, or senior, I'm committed to providing a reliable, caring, and enjoyable experience tailored to their individual needs every time. I care for every pet as though they were my own, ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I always take the time to understand each dog's routine, personality, and any specific requirements so I can provide care that's familiar and tailored to their needs. Whether I'm caring for your dog in your home or taking them out for walks, I'll stick to their usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, exercise, playtime, medication (if required), and plenty of affection. I believe every dog deserves individual attention, whether they enjoy energetic runs, long countryside walks around the beautiful Estelle Manor grounds, or a calm stroll with lots of time to sniff and explore. I'll keep you updated with regular messages and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is happy, well cared for, and in safe hands. My goal is to provide dependable, loving care that gives both you and your pet complete peace of mind.

About: I've been around animals for as long as I can remember and have grown up caring for all sorts of pets, including dogs, cats, rabbits, fish, and even tortoises. Looking after animals has always been a natural part of my life, and from a young age I learned how important it is to give pets the love, attention, and care they deserve. I have the most experience with dogs and cats, particularly spaniels, and I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs. Whether it's going for long walks, playtime, feeding, or simply providing company and cuddles, I always make sure pets feel happy, comfortable, and well looked after. I know how much pets mean to their owners, so I'll treat your pets as if they were my own. My goal is to make sure they feel safe, loved, and relaxed while you're away, giving you peace of mind that they're in caring and reliable hands. I can’t wait to meet your furry friend 😊 I work in an office in Witney three days a week and from home the other two, which gives me plenty of flexibility to fit around your pet's routine. Whether they need an early morning walk, a lunchtime visit, an afternoon stroll, or an evening walk, I'm happy to work around what suits them best. I know how important it is to keep pets in their usual routine, so I'll always do my best to accommodate their needs and make sure they get plenty of attention and care. I also offer house sitting, so your pet can stay happy and comfortable in their own home while you're away. I'm happy to travel for house-sitting bookings as long as they're within around a 30-minute commute of Witney. I know how important it is for pets to feel comfortable and secure when their owners are away, so I always do my best to keep their routine as normal as possible. Every pet is different, so I'll take the time to get to know their personality, likes and dislikes, and make sure they're getting the care and attention they're used to. Whether that's walks, playtime, feeding, cuddles, or simply keeping them company, I'll make sure your pet feels happy and loved while you're away. Having grown up around animals all my life, I genuinely enjoy spending time with them and building a bond with each pet I look after. I'll also treat your home with the utmost respect and keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages, so you can relax knowing your pet is safe, happy, and being well cared for.

Hannah was fantastic! I met her a few days before she looked after our cockerpoo Maddie. Maddie loved her and it was obvious from the start that she was friendly and great with dogs. Maddie really liked her. On the day that she looked after her, she sent lots of updates, which I appreciated. They had a great day together… The house was tidy on return and we had a happy dog. We will definitely be using her again!

About: We’ve had dogs in my family since I was 4, and now living away from my parents i desperately miss them! We’ve had mostly very active spaniels, as well as more spaniels and terriers in my wider family. I’m very dog-orientated, understand the responsibility of looking after a dog, as well as taking into account the personality and sensitivities and needs of each dog individually. I work full time but work from home twice a week, and can be flexible most weekends with enough notice. I’m very keen to help out with dog sitting, or walking as needed. I have a fenced garden which backs onto a very quiet residents’ car park. We have plenty of green spaces and fields nearby. Our small estate is extremely quiet as well.

About: I have always loved dogs and had my own dogs. I unfortunately live by myself now so I haven’t got a dog now. I miss having that friend, so I want to help out as much as I can. I am a teacher so daytimes may be trickier but I’ll do my best. I am more available at weekends. I can be free most nights too. I won’t tend to have dogs at my house as I have no garden. But if you are happy, I absolutely can have them. I own my house. Some people may not want me to do this, but if you allow it, I can for sure. I will look after your dog with all the love and care I would for my own. And I am very respectful of homes. I used to be a nanny and still occasionally do that, so I understand looking after the home as well.

Cinthya has been wonderful! We have three dogs, one of which is particularly challenging, but Cinthya has real 'dog sense' and gave ours the space and time needed to let her defences down. You can tell she understands dogs and connects with them, with the end result that we and the dogs were very very happy! Would highly recommend!

As always, Kaye has taken great care of our elderly Labrador, Cally, while we have been away. Kaye is a very kind and gentle carer for Cally, who clearly loves her and is always happy to see her and have her ‘take charge’ (as are we). Kaye looks after our home and our pet extremely well, enabling us to relax and feel reassured while we are away. We look forward very much to having her back to look after Cally next month.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in West Oxfordshire on Rover is £40.25 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 1,183 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across West Oxfordshire. Enter your postcode to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred West Oxfordshire walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in West Oxfordshire choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
