About: We’ve had dogs in my family since I was 4, and now living away from my parents i desperately miss them! We’ve had mostly very active spaniels, as well as more spaniels and terriers in my wider family. I’m very dog-orientated, understand the responsibility of looking after a dog, as well as taking into account the personality and sensitivities and needs of each dog individually. I work full time but work from home twice a week, and can be flexible most weekends with enough notice. I’m very keen to help out with dog sitting, or walking as needed. About: I owned a cat, Blue, a Russian blue mix who I rescued but unfortunately had to give him to my family to look after during the covid pandemic when I was working as a nurse in a Covid intensive care unit. I have extensive, hands-on experience with dogs, cats, bunnies, and horses, and one of my defining characteristics is being a little (okay, a lot) obsessed with them. Everyone in the Arctic knows me as the person who took her bunnies to the wilds of the North Pole because she didn't trust a petsitter would love them enough - so I know exactly what it's like to leave your babies with someone else. A bit about my experience: I'm known for having rehabbed both a difficult/blind cat and a dog — helping them learn to trust and love again through sitting quietly for hours each day while they came to understand that love was available entirely on their own terms. I adore dogs of all sizes and love exercising them and making them feel free. I have personally had 2 dogs (and many wonderful dog sit experiences), 11 cats, and 2 bunnies. A few practical notes: - Non-smoker, non-drinker - Fully comfortable administering medication and have experience with 12-hour overnight tummy massages that have avoided vet visits (yes, really 🙂) - Very communicative - I believe in keeping communication fully open, always! - I'm not comfortable sitting animals kept in cages unless strictly for medical reasons (this includes caged bunnies) - Harry Potter fan ⚡ I'd love to offer you a video call and meet up before we begin! We have both trained well behaved dogs from puppies of all sizes and breeds from Jack rustles to Turkish Sheep Dogs. Im currently working part-time and when working from home have flexibility to fit in caring for pets. I normally have a few days free per week. About: I’ve had dogs my whole adult life and wouldn’t know what life is like without them. I have an aging Beagle called Poppy who still enjoys long walks and longer naps. I’ve recently retired and now look forward to spending time with more fur babies, giving them the love and attention they need so you can enjoy your holiday I’m a retired active woman with nothing but time on my hands and a gorgeous beagle. We walk twice a day right from the house as I’m fortunate enough to have lots of lovely walks right on my doorstep. My garden is completely enclosed and safe. My home is comfortable and dogs are welcome on the sofa for cuddles. I have a large crate available if the dog wants to use it.
