I really appreciate all the attention, care, and affection you gave him. Thanks again for everything, you've been wonderful, and I'm sure Stormy enjoyed his time with you! About: We’ve had dogs in my family since I was 4, and now living away from my parents i desperately miss them! We’ve had mostly very active spaniels, as well as more spaniels and terriers in my wider family. I’m very dog-orientated, understand the responsibility of looking after a dog, as well as taking into account the personality and sensitivities and needs of each dog individually. I work full time but work from home twice a week, and can be flexible most weekends with enough notice. I’m very keen to help out with dog sitting, or walking as needed. I have a fenced garden which backs onto a very quiet residents’ car park. We have plenty of green spaces and fields nearby. Our small estate is extremely quiet as well.

About: I am the proud owner of a one-year-old Golden Retriever who is truly part of the family. Having spent many years caring for and walking dogs of all breeds and sizes, I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pet. As a member of the RAF based at Brize Norton, I quickly discovered how difficult it can be to find reliable and caring dog care. This inspired me to provide the kind of service I would want for my own dog—safe, loving, and tailored to each dog’s individual needs. During your dog’s stay, either myself or my partner will be at home throughout the day, ensuring your pet is never left alone and receives plenty of attention, companionship, and care. We have a secure, gated garden and a child-free home, providing a calm and safe environment for your dog. We are happy to accommodate your dog’s usual routines and preferences, whether that means relaxing on the sofa, sleeping on the bed, or having access to a crate if they find comfort and security in one. Our goal is to make your dog’s stay feel like a home away from home, giving you complete peace of mind while you’re away. I work shift pattern so my available days will be my days off or when my partner is home so your dog won’t ever be left alone! I have a fenced garden and a 1 year old golden retriever who loves all dogs and will keep your fur baby company during their stay!

About: Hi! I'm a reliable, caring, and active dog lover who genuinely enjoys spending time with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. I have years of experience looking after different breeds, both my own dog and friends dogs in the past. Whether your dog loves long adventures, energetic runs, or a slower paced stroll with plenty of sniffing, I'm happy to tailor every walk to their individual needs. I have access to the beautiful grounds around Estelle Manor, which provide a fantastic setting for safe, varied, and enjoyable walks and runs. From high-energy exercise to relaxed outings, I'll make sure your dog gets the attention and activity that's right for them. Your dog's wellbeing, happiness, and safety are always my priority. I'm dependable, attentive, and committed to treating every dog as if they were my own, ensuring they feel comfortable, cared for, and loved while they're with me. I look forward to meeting you and your four legged friend! What to Expect Every dog is different, so I tailor each day to suit their personality, energy level, and routine. Before the Walk I'll arrive on time, make sure your dog is comfortable, and take a few moments to understand how they're feeling that day. Whether they're full of energy or prefer a gentler pace, I'll adapt accordingly. During the Walk Your dog will enjoy a fun, safe, and engaging walk, with plenty of opportunities to sniff, explore, and exercise. For active dogs, I have access to the beautiful grounds around Estelle Manor, where they can enjoy longer walks or runs. If your dog prefers a slower pace, I'm equally happy to provide a relaxed stroll with lots of attention and enrichment. Care & Attention Your dog's safety and happiness are my top priorities. I'll make sure they have fresh water after their walk, clean muddy paws if needed, and give them plenty of affection and reassurance throughout our time together. After the Walk I'll send you an update with photos (if you'd like), letting you know where we went, how your dog got on, and anything you should know. You can expect your dog to return home happy, well exercised, and cared for. Whether your dog is energetic, nervous, young, or senior, I'm committed to providing a reliable, caring, and enjoyable experience tailored to their individual needs every time. I care for every pet as though they were my own, ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I always take the time to understand each dog's routine, personality, and any specific requirements so I can provide care that's familiar and tailored to their needs. Whether I'm caring for your dog in your home or taking them out for walks, I'll stick to their usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, exercise, playtime, medication (if required), and plenty of affection. I believe every dog deserves individual attention, whether they enjoy energetic runs, long countryside walks around the beautiful Estelle Manor grounds, or a calm stroll with lots of time to sniff and explore. I'll keep you updated with regular messages and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is happy, well cared for, and in safe hands. My goal is to provide dependable, loving care that gives both you and your pet complete peace of mind.

My 4 month old Whippet puppy Lottie just stayed with Quentin for two nights and it was absolutely brilliant. Lottie got lots of walks and playtime outside in Christchurch meadow and special attention when she needed it. Quentin kept me fully updated with photos and all of the latest news, and was very flexible and accommodating with my travel arrangements. He dealt with her diet, exercise and sleep requirements with such calm and patience. I would love Lottie to go back to stay next time, I think she has made friends for life!

About: I’ve had dogs my whole adult life and wouldn’t know what life is like without them. I have an aging Beagle called Poppy who still enjoys long walks and longer naps. I’ve recently retired and now look forward to spending time with more fur babies, giving them the love and attention they need so you can enjoy your holiday I’m a retired active woman with nothing but time on my hands and a gorgeous beagle. We walk twice a day right from the house as I’m fortunate enough to have lots of lovely walks right on my doorstep. My garden is completely enclosed and safe. My home is comfortable and dogs are welcome on the sofa for cuddles. I have a large crate available if the dog wants to use it.

We met Klaudia and her own dog prior to Bertie’s stay and immediately felt that Bertie would be well looked after. It was so good to know that he would be in safe hands. I think Bertie enjoyed his stay because he clearly wasn’t in any rush to come home! Thank you Klaudia and your family for your care, we will certainly come to you again if we need a dog sitter.

The average cost for Dog Boarding in West Oxfordshire on Rover is £34.5 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Dog Boarding easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Dog Boarding. For more information on service fees, click here .

Finding the right boarding environment is all about peace of mind. Boarding with a sitter on Rover helps you find a cosy experience in a real home for your dog.

When searching for a host, look for a sitter who:

  • Offers a secure, home-like environment that is clean and welcoming
  • Adheres to your dog’s established routine for meals, activity, and rest
  • Possesses relevant experience with your pet’s specific breed, size, and personality
  • Maintains clear communication regarding the frequency of photo and message updates

Don’t skip the Meet & Greet! The free Meet & Greet is the best way to see where your dog will sleep and who they might play with.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
