“Pernille and her partner were absolutely lovely and our St Bernard Rufus had the best time with them. Pernille communicated consistently during his stay, sent photos and was happy to have an initial video call to show us the house and make sure it was okay for our elderly large dog. They gave him lots of fuss and attention and had a lovely home and garden perfect for him. I would be happy for Rufus to stay with them again!”
“Amazing experience!!! Communication with Raik was very smooth, and he always did his best to help. Raik and Michael are very kind, patient, and passionate about dogs, and they know perfectly how to interact with a young dog that is full of energy. Raik has kept us updated with a lot of pics and videos. Our dog has been well cared for, and he absolutely enjoyed the weekend with Raik and Michael! We are grateful and feel very lucky to have met such GREAT people the first time using Rover.”

About: All my life I have had dogs and cats and I would not have it any other way. A home is not a home unless it has pets. They bring so much joy, love and they are all so unique. I currently have a Labrador (Roxy) who is super friendly and 2 cats. We can tailor the walk to your dog's need, long or short, it can either be where there are lots of others dogs if that's what your dog likes or it can be a much quieter walk in the countryside. Your pet’s well-being, safety, and daily routine are my highest priorities, and I’m always happy to follow any specific care instructions you share.I can do short or long house sitting stay. As I have cats I can not offer to have your pet in my house overnight but I can offer short stays in the day. I am fully insured and will shortly be taking on a pet's first aid course. I can be available every week day and weekend with plenty of notice. I will on occasion be doing the walks with my dog providing yours is happy with that. She is super friendly. My pets get the best care. They get fed as soon as I get up and that is before I make myself a cuppa. My dog gets at least 2 hours walk everyday and loves playing with her ball. As we have cats I can not offer overnight stay at my house but I can accomodate short stays in the day.
“This was our second time booking Sophie for our dog Ronnie, and she was fantastic again. She’s reliable, caring, and clearly great with dogs. Ronnie was happy and relaxed when we returned—highly recommend!”

“I couldn’t be happier with Arina, provided for my dog! She went above and beyond to make sure my furry friend felt at home, and it was clear that she genuinely cared. My dog was happy, healthy, and well-looked after when I picked him up. Her professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving dog sitter!”

“Pedro and his family came to the rescue at short notice as we needed our two whippets to be cared for whilst we hosted a party in our home. It made all the difference to know they were safe in a family home (on the sofa) We will definitely use Pedro again”

“Toni was great with our Labrador puppy Indie! Looked after her Saturday through to Sunday and Indie came back relaxed and we’ll exercised, we will definitely use Toni again for overnight boarding.”

About: I have a degree in animal management and I have been a genuine dog lover since I was a tiny child! I have two dogs of my own, a beautiful Irish Setter and a Cocker Spaniel. I work from home 4 days a week and love to walk in the countryside where I live. I am able to do up to three walks a day and while I’m at home boarders will have access to a generous fenced garden. Boarders will sleep and be fed separately to my dogs to prevent any issues and can be walked separately if required. I work predominantly from home Tues-Friday and typically do a walk in the morning before breakfast, a walk at lunchtime if the weather is not excessively hot (rain doesn’t bother us!) and a walk in the evening before dinner. Dogs are given access to the garden during the day when I am home to supervise. On Mondays dogs are left between 8:30 and 3pm but are walked before I leave and upon my return. Boarders will be kept apart from my own dogs when unsupervised. I have a fenced garden that has proved secure for both of my dogs. Both my dogs are friendly, dog-social and are up to date on their flea, tick, worming and vaccinations. I have two young children who are used to interacting with dogs however children and dogs are never left alone unsupervised or allowed to play without adult assistance. Boarding dogs are always fed and sleep separately to my own dogs.
“Sausage loved his overnighter with Caitlyn and her lovely family. He's come home pooped but so relaxed. Caitlyn kept me updated on how he was settling in and was great at communicating for drop off and collection times. He's looking forward to the next stay already 😊”

“I can’t recommend Grace enough! She clearly has a lot of experience with dogs and it really shows in the way she handles everything with ease and confidence. My pup felt completely comfortable and well cared for, which gave me total peace of mind. On top of that, she was incredibly flexible with scheduling and always kind and thoughtful in her communication. If you’re looking for someone reliable, compassionate, and truly great with dogs, Grace is the one!”

About: I have had my own dog for 11 years, he’s now an elderly gentleman! As a household we love animals and look forward to looking after your pets, I will be looking after them as their primary carer. . I have also had cats for 15 years, currently just one beauty. I’m here to look after your furry guests and help them settle in. I always do two good walks a day with our own dog or a trip to the park. On top of this we do two toilet breaks if needed. As the garden is not currently secure, I don’t use this for dogs. Dogs sleep in the kitchen which has rubber flooring at the moment, no caging unless requested. Our dog is older so can be a bit lazy and needs his rest, we have plenty of room for dogs to have their own space if needed, but he generally likes company. I am a cat lover and happy to provide drop in cat care, feeding, litter and cuddles.
About: Growing up on farm I have always been surrounded by a wide variety of animals, with dogs always playing a huge part in my life. Walking, feeding, bathing, playing…we got it covered! I have a gorgeous black Lab, Bob, who loves the company of other dogs and will be best friends with your pup! I work from home so I am around all day. Sometime I go to my office but this would be specified on the calendar. It is a dog friendly office so I usually take my Lab with, well behaved dogs are welcome and loved by my colleagues! My home is on a quiet street on the edge of a woodland which allow access to great walks. The garden is currently unfenced as we are replacing the fence. Our beautiful Labrador, Bob, will be happy to keep your dogs company and show them around!
About: I have cared for small and medium size dogs and cats for 8 years. I have trained puppies and cared for senior dogs. My experience includes bathing, walking and playing with dogs and cats. I work part-time with flexible hours which I easily adjust around my pet caring responsibilities. When looking after pets, I am available full time for their care. I have a good-sized fenced rear garden. The fence is 2 metres high. This provides a safe external space for pets. Pets are also accommodated inside my house.

Dog owners share their Rover experiences - Hungerford
Pernille and Tim walked Joy early mornings and at dusk to avoid the heatwave; their house is cool in the day so she could relax. Joy's always pleased to visit or stay with them, like extended family. She's pleased to see me and come home when its time, a seamless transition.
