“Pernille had our little Jack Russell for a long weekend and he had the absolute best time! Pernille is so lovely and gave him loads of love and attention. We got lots of pictures, videos and updates which was so reassuring when away from our loved ones! Wouldn’t hesitate a second for our dog to have another stay.”

“We were let down at the very last minute and I was honestly so nervous about finding someone new, but Harriet was an absolute lifesaver. She kept in constant communication, sending regular photos and updates, which put me completely at ease. Our Gary had a lovely time with her and came home happy and relaxed. We’re so grateful for her care and kindness — highly recommend.”

“Raik and Michael were incredible dog sitters and we would use them again in a heartbeat. They were amazing with our boy who is very energetic and loves attention. We received lovely updates throughout the weekend and the whole process from start to finish was very smooth. We can’t wait to go away and use them again! Thank you both.”

“A week's stay with Arlina and family in January. This was our first stay with two large dogs - Milo and Frank. Very different personalities, energy levels and needs, which Arlina managed well. Kept me well informed throughout the week. A wonderful location and a kind family”

“Bear had a lovely time staying with Sophie on her farm with her two dogs and the beautiful alpacas! She was responsive and sent lots of photos whilst I was away. It was my first time in a while leaving Bear with someone new, so I was nervous. But Sophie was great at calming my nerves and she took great care of Bear for me. He can be fussy with his eating, but she was happy to make adjustments for Bear as he needed them and was super flexible. I will definitely be asking Sophie to look after Bear again! 🐻 🖤”

“Elton had a great time staying with Pedro and his family. He was well cared for and we were updated with how he was getting on. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Pedro. Thanks so much.”

About: All my life I have had dogs and cats and I would not have it any other way. A home is not a home unless it has pets. They bring so much joy, love and they are all so unique. I currently have a Labrador (Roxy) who is super friendly and 2 cats. We can tailor the walk to your dog's need, long or short, it can either be where there are lots of others dogs if that's what your dog likes or it can be a much quieter walk in the countryside. Your pet’s well-being, safety, and daily routine are my highest priorities, and I’m always happy to follow any specific care instructions you share.I can do short or long house sitting stay. As I have cats I can not offer to have your pet in my house overnight but I can offer short stays in the day. I am fully insured and will shortly be taking on a pet's first aid course. I can be available every week day and weekend with plenty of notice. I will on occasion be doing the walks with my dog providing yours is happy with that. She is super friendly. My pets get the best care. They get fed as soon as I get up and that is before I make myself a cuppa. My dog gets at least 2 hours walk everyday and loves playing with her ball. As we have cats I can not offer overnight stay at my house but I can accomodate short stays in the day.

“Rosann and her husband looked after Maca overnight, and the whole experience was lovely from start to finish. We met beforehand with the dogs to make sure they were comfortable and happy with each other, which really put my mind at ease. Maca clearly enjoyed his stay and was very well looked after. Rosann and her husband were both friendly, caring and welcoming, and I felt completely comfortable leaving him with them. I’d happily recommend Rosann to anyone looking for someone trustworthy to look after their dog, and I’d definitely be happy for Maca to stay with them again.”

About: I've been around cats my whole life, having grown up with one since I was three years old. This has given me a strong understanding of their individual personalities, routines, and needs. In addition to caring for my own cat, I've looked after two cats for a work colleague while she was away on holiday. I stayed in her home for several nights, making sure they were fed, comfortable, and given plenty of attention while keeping to their usual routine. I genuinely love being around cats and am always the first to say hello and give my friends' cats a fuss when I visit. I enjoy getting to know each cat's unique personality, whether they're affectionate, or prefer a bit more space.

Emily provided me with just the right amount of feedback whilst I was away, a couple of photos, a comment on my cat's general well-being and her behaviour on arrival, and confirmation on various matters which we had discussed beforehand eg when to give medication for arthritis, arrangements regarding the key. I would definitely book Emily again.”

During this time, I also fostered 10+ dogs, from tiny puppies to dogs that were 5 or 6 years old, with health issues. I thoroughly enjoyed my time spending time with these dogs, nurturing them and showing them what a loving environment is about. “Janie dropped in & fed our cat Bella over 4-5 days whist we were away, and she was fantastic! She messaged us each time she came with a report on how Bella was doing, & sent us lots of pictures too. Bella is quite a nervous cat, but Janie was able to get her to relax with her really quickly, and when we came home Bella seemed totally at ease & unconcerned that we’d been away. About: I had a Border Terrier for 17 years who grew up with our family and was loved by everyone. She lived a long & happy life and we had to nurse her in her final years when she succumbed to dementia. I have a lots of empty space in my life for a dog as I am now retired. I love walking through the countryside with a dog too. I have a large secure garden for a dog to explore . I live in a village and a few minutes walk from the fields which is perfect for dogs. We also have a local recreation ground which also welcomes dogs.
“Aimée was absolutely fantastic with my dog, from our first interaction which was friendly, welcoming and her genuine love for dogs shone immediately. We built a rapport prior to the day care booking and Aimée diligently made sure that any requirements were tailored or addressed prior. On the day, Aimée welcomed my dog with open arms and enthusiasm, she took care of her all day and sent regular updates and photos, when I collected my dog, my dog was reluctant to leave! I will absolutely be booking with Aimée again and cannot recommend her enough. Thank you”

About: I've had pets all my life. Rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and cats as a child. As an adult I've owned a house rabbit, 2 cats and currently have a dog and a cat. One of my cats sadly passed away with Feline Cystitis and he needed lots of medications. One of my dogs has allergies and sometimes needs medications for this. I'm a qualified nurse, who is comfortable with looking after unwell pets. I am currently on maternity leave. I am at home full time until November 2026. So I am available frequently. I may need to bring my daughter with me for some visits, but this would be discussed beforehand. I have a 6ft fence around the garden. Dogs are very much welcome on the sofa to be comfortable. I live near a huge woods and lots of lovely dog walks.
About: I’ve had dogs all my life, and I just adore animals in general. My dog, Bella, was a very nervous rescue and is now doing absolutely brilliantly, so I’ve learnt a lot about helping anxious dogs in the last few years. Bella does not come with me when I do house sits, she has another at home who takes care of her. I’ve got lots of experience walking and handling dogs of all shapes and sizes. I’ve worked with puppies, senior dogs and large breeds and also those who require special attention and need medication. I’m used to working with groups of dogs and have no problem with dogs who are anxious, I just require more meet and greets to get your pup familiar. I worked at Pets at Home for a few years and I've handled everything from small furries to reptiles. I’ve recently relocated from up north so my calendar is pretty empty at the moment. I’m looking to make lots of new furry friends and get familiar with the Wiltshire dog/cat (all animals alike) community 😊 I have a large garden and open plan kitchen and living room so your furr baby will always be In site. Also I share my home with my loveable and super friendly Cockerpoo Bella! Prior to boarding I would request our dogs have a meet and greet to see if it's a good match. Bella is super sweet and never aggressive, it's just for my own peace of mind as I want my pup to feel comfortable. I also have my own insurance and DBS certificate.
“Kraken had a lovely day with Aston and his lovely furry team (aka the pack). We are very happy with Astons caring , professional knowledge with Kraken and our family. We have found the right person to take Kraken to when we need a dog sitter”

“Jessica had our Lab for a day before they have him for two weeks soon, to help him settle in. He’s a high energy pup but was shattered after a day of playing and being their shadow. Murphy’s needs were all catered for and we were kept updated. Thank you”

“Yasmin was very obliging in collecting our dogs where requested. She also delivered them back to us exactly on time where we required. Our precious pooches were as happy and lively as they always are and so I'm 100% positive they had a good time with Yasmin the whole day. No hesitation in recommending this lovely young lady to take good care of your precious pooch and we would definitely use her again should we visit Newbury again in the future. Thank you xx”

“Martine was amazing with my dog Bloom! You could tell straight away that Bloom was happy to be with her. Martine is super natural with dogs and made me feel really comfortable leaving her with her. It was also really nice seeing how great she was with her own Labrador, both dogs looked so happy and got on really well. Honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Would 100% book with Martine again!”

About: Having been raised on a small holding in rural South Wales, I have never known life without pets. I am a very compassionate and understanding animal lover who enjoys working with all species of animals, with most experience with dogs, cats, horses, farm birds, and small animals. I have my own gorgeous rescue cat, who is the perfect sassy yet protective companion. Over the past few years, in addition to caring for my own cat and animals at the family home, I have enjoyed supporting neighbours, family friends, and customers from this and other pet care sites, with their pet care needs. This includes, walking pets, drop-in walking dogs and helping with day and overnight pet-sitting for neighbours and family friends. I am a trustworthy, reliable, hard-working, and patient person with a passion to learn and care. Finally, a little about me, with a background in Psychology, Special Education and Mental Health, I currently work for the Local Authority as an Assistant Educational Psychologist. I look forward to hearing from you and fulfilling your pet-caring needs with a smile guaranteed I am currently working full-time, yet spend most days working from home. This makes my time very flexible to fit to your pet care needs. My weekly diary is rather adjustable and with prior notice I am able to make time at any time of day for your requirements. I am able to ensure the safety of your pet regardless of your pet care needs. When settling my own cat into her new environment it was essential for us to take the time to ensure her trust in addition to the security of her environment. We also had to take great care when moving around our home and in/out of the home. I ensure this knowledge is part of my pet care practice, and guarantee the safety and care for your pet.

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. My love for them started with my childhood cat, Doodles. Every evening she'd curl up on my chest, and this has always been one of my favourite childhood memories. When I was around 10, we welcomed our family dog Bramble into our lives. Later, she developed a health condition that meant she needed daily medication and extra care. Helping to give her medication, changing her bedding every morning and evening, and making sure she was comfortable taught me how important patience, and compassion are when caring for pets with additional needs. Since then, I've been lucky enough to care for pets belonging to family, friends, and colleagues. This has included overnight house sits with cats, looking after my uncle's Westie, Freddie, in his own home, and welcoming my boyfriend's family dog into my home while they were away. My love for animals extends beyond cats and dogs. While travelling around South East Asia, I volunteered and donated at an animal shelter in Koh Samui, made a point of visiting only ethical elephant sanctuaries in Chiang Mai where the elephants aren't ridden or touched, and even met the incredible landmine detection rats in Cambodia. Those experiences strengthened my passion for animal welfare and my respect for every animal, big or small. My schedule is changing soon, which means I'll have even more time to spend caring for pets! In just a couple of weeks, I'll be working part-time, giving me plenty of flexibility during the week. I'll be available on multiple weekdays for daytime walks, drop-in visits, and quality time with your pets. I'm also available for boarding throughout the week. Thursdays are my one regular day working away from home, so if your pet is staying with me on a Thursday, I'll be out during the day but back by the late afternoon or evening (depending on my shift). Outside of that, I'll have lots of time at home to keep your pet company, making sure they get plenty of attention. I'm always happy to discuss your pet's routine and see how I can make my schedule work for you and pet. I know that inviting someone into your home requires a lot of trust, and I take that responsibility seriously. Because of my job, I regularly travel and stay in Airbnbs during the week, so I'm very used to treating other people's homes with care and respect. I always follow check-out instructions carefully, and I'd bring that same attention to detail to your home—whether that's sticking to your pet's routine, locking up securely, or following any house rules you've left for me. Growing up with both a cat and a dog who weren't always the best of friends also means I'm very familiar with using pet gates, managing different areas of the house, and being mindful not to leave anything lying around that pets could get into. I'll always leave your home clean and tidy, exactly as I'd hope someone would leave mine. And because I know how hard it can be to be away from your pets, I'm more than happy to send regular photo and video updates, so you can relax knowing they're happy and safe.

I have trained them with the basics such as sit, wait, and down, I have also helped them with anxiety issues, social issues, and learning to trust humans again. During this time, I also fostered 10+ dogs, from tiny puppies to dogs that were 5 or 6 years old, with health issues. I thoroughly enjoyed my time spending time with these dogs, nurturing them and showing them what a loving environment is about. I currently work part time and am able to fit in pet visits and walking Mon - Fri 9.30 -14.30 dog walking. I am also available every other weekend as well. I can easily crate your dog if they have anxiety issues and require a safe space. I am respectful of a dog / cat in their home environment and any rules you have for your home I will adhere to and respect. If you require muddy paws wiped before entry, a groom before bed, biscuits laid out before I leave them please let me know.
About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 5 years, and animals have always been a big part of my life. Growing up, my mum was a pet sitter, so I was always surrounded by pets and learned from an early age how important it is to give animals patient and attentive care. I now live on a small farm in Newbury and love spending time outdoors with animals. I offer dog walking and drop-in visits for both dogs and cats, helping pets stay comfortable and well cared for while their owners are away. I understand that every pet has their own routine and personality, so I always take the time to make them feel relaxed and happy. Whether it’s walks, feeding, playtime or simply keeping them company, I make sure they receive plenty of attention and care. I’m also happy to send updates and photos so you can feel reassured while you’re away. Pet care is my full-time work, so my daily routine is built around dog walks and pet visits. This allows me to be flexible and make sure each pet receives plenty of attention, exercise and care. I plan my schedule carefully so every visit or walk is relaxed and unhurried. When caring for pets in an owner’s home, I always make sure to follow their usual routine as closely as possible so pets feel comfortable and relaxed. During drop-in visits I can feed pets, refresh water, clean litter trays if needed, provide playtime and make sure they get plenty of attention and companionship. For dog walks, I prioritise safe and enjoyable walks, keeping dogs securely on their lead unless instructed otherwise and avoiding busy or unsafe areas where possible. I always make sure dogs are returned home safely, with fresh water and settled before I leave. I treat every home with respect and care, keeping things tidy and making sure doors, gates and locks are secure. I also send updates and photos so owners can feel reassured that their pets are happy and well looked after.

About: I’ve been looking after dogs since I was 14 years old, caring for friends’, family’s and neighbours’ dogs on a regular basis. My experience includes daily walks, feeding, bathing, playtime, and providing lots of attention and companionship. At the beginning of 2025, I travelled to Australia where I looked after multiple dogs through house sits, giving me experience caring for dogs in different environments and routines. I’m a very outdoorsy person, so dogs in my care will enjoy varied walks through parks, trails and green spaces rather than the same route every day. I’m happy to adapt to each dog’s needs, whether that’s long energetic walks for active dogs or slower and gentler walks for older or less mobile dogs. My priority is always making sure each dog feels safe, comfortable and well cared for. I’m currently working as a freelance photographer, which gives me a very flexible schedule. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine, and I’m often out walking anyway, so I’m looking for some furry friends to join me on my walks in my spare time. This flexibility means I can accommodate different times and adapt to each dog’s routine. Whether that’s regular daily walks or occasional care. With my background in photography, owners can expect regular photo and message updates so you can see how your pet is getting on and feel confident they’re happy and well cared for while you’re away. I always prioritise a pet’s safety, comfort and routine whether I’m caring for them in my own home or in the owner’s home. I follow all instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, walking preferences and any specific needs or behaviours. I make sure dogs are walked safely, kept on leads where required, and given plenty of attention and reassurance.

I live on a narrowboat so can only offer care for your pet at your home, I am happy to stay overnight if necessary and offer house sitting for your holiday needs.

“Emma was great with our dog Freddie, and was able to take him at short notice. She provided updates throughout and we felt at ease seeing how much fun he was having with the other dogs. We would definitely use Emma again.”

“Over the moon to have found Deanne, she has taken excellent care of Kevin again, he’s taken for lovely walks, given a lot of love, attention and cuddles (as guaranteed!), and is very much at home, happy and relaxed when I come to collect him. His medication is administered, walks/exercise are adapted to his needs and I’m provided with regular updates and photos whilst I’m away. Really positive experience all round and I know Kevin will be very excited to stay again!”

“Hugo our Maltipoo had a lovely overnight stay with Alline. He looked settled, like a home from home. Alline sent photos and videos which were lovely and reassuring. Thanks Alline for taking care of our Hugo 😘”

“Elton had a great time staying with Pedro and his family. He was well cared for and we were updated with how he was getting on. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Pedro. Thanks so much.”

“Enzo had a great time at Olivia's, I got a video every day of the lovely walks that he went on with Olivia's dogs. Olivia is very caring and you can be sure your dog will be taken care of.”

“Yasmin is a fantastic choice to look after your doggos! My two dogs stayed with her for a week, but we first had a quick meet-up a few weeks beforehand so they (and I) could get to know her. When I dropped them off for their stay, it was clear she’d already made a great impression — they were so excited to see her again! There were no issues at all during their stay. Yasmin kept in touch throughout the week with a lovely stream of photos and updates from their various adventures — both around her flat and on their walks around the racecourse — which was so reassuring. When I picked them up, both Nova (a medium-sized Labradoodle) and Roxy (a small Cockapoo) were happy, healthy, freshly bathed, well-fed, and delightfully exhausted after a week of walks, pampering, and cuddles. Thank you, Yasmin — from me, Nova, and Roxy! 🐾”

“Stewart looking after my dog fantastically well for 10 nights. He is very communicative and provides frequent updates and lots of photos, all showing how much Bruce enjoyed his stay. Highly recommended.”

“Teresa was so accommodating with our last minute booking for Winnie. She sent pictures and updates daily and kept in touch the whole time! She let us make sure Winnie was settled before we left her and when our flight was delayed over 3 hours getting home, she was accommodating with that too! We could tell Winnie had lots of fun and was really happy staying with Teresa, I can’t recommend her enough :)”

“Charli was very well looked after by Toni. When she was collected she was very lively and happy. She had obviously enjoyed her stay. Thank you Toni for a job well done- and peace of mind for us.”

“We left Kate with Jing for 5 days while I travelled abroad and we are super happy. She sended pictures of Kate during Kate's stay there and updates so we knew what was happening. Kate and Jing's dog went very well together and we would definitely leave Kate there again!! Excellent service!”

About: I've had dogs all my (considerably long) life, including breeding a litter and puppy training and I'm experienced in all breeds. Dogs are my passion and I love them above all things. I've recently lost my 14 year old chocolate Labrador so this is the first time I've had only one dog. In the past I had a Miniature Schnauzer who lived to be 21! I currently own a black pug called Hattie who loves to have company. She is pretty spoilt, and so will your dog be when it stays with me. I also have a King Charles Cavalier called Ava whose hobby is pigeon stalking. I will take comprehensive instructions from you so that their routine is as close to normal as possible. Plus they'll get lots of love & attention so they don't miss you too much. I will walk your dog, as required, along the many footpaths and bridal ways on my doorstep. They’ll also have the run of my large fenced garden.
“Helena took brilliant care of Milo when he returned for another overnight visit; I had regular photos and updates and Milo would’ve stayed longer if he could! Thanks so much Helena, great service and care as always! xx”

“It was our first time using the Rover app and we couldn’t have been luckier with picking Carly to look after our puppy! She was wonderful from start to finish! Our dog has just returned from his holiday with Carly and cried at the door for her when she left! Thank you for making the process of leaving him overnight for the first time so easy and being so thoughtful and kind with all your communication! We will 100 per cent be using you again!”
