About: I would be delighted to welcome your dog to stay in my quiet, safe home. My partner Seb and I have had Birdie, our rescue greyhound, for 2 years. Before adopting Birdie, I grew up with a dog and I've volunteered with dog-walking charities over the years and walked dogs and done catsitting for friends and relatives. When Birdie joined the household, I had to help her adjust to her new surroundings and life as a family pet. With time and patience, she's settled in wonderfully. Birdie loves the company of other hounds and I'm hoping to welcome some new visitors into our pack. Meet-and-greets / trial visits welcome. Don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions! I work from home so there is usually always someone around during the work day. (I am out on Tuesdays so not currently taking Tues bookings). I tend to walk first thing, before the working day, and again after work. There are playing fields, open countryside and neighbourhood footpaths in the local area, and I can tailor walks to your dog's preferences and needs. Enclosed back garden for toilet opportunities through the day. I have an enclosed back garden (6-foot fences). Caring for an ex-racing greyhound, I'm well versed in ensuring that the home environment is safe, secure and peaceful. Communication was fantastic throughout — replies were always really quick, and they kept us updated with lovely photos and messages, which gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. It was clear how happy and well cared for Lenny was, and they treated him as if he were their own. I honestly couldn’t recommend Sarah and her family highly enough and would have absolutely no hesitation leaving Lenny with them again.
Bruce, our Great Dane has stayed with Anna several times now. He absolutely loves his time there and the whole family make him feel welcome. Anna sends regular updates and photos and he always returns happy and relaxed. I’d highly recommend Anna, she’s a lovely lady and fabulous dog boarder.
James looked after our dog Poppy for 6 days. Poppy was extremely well looked after and received excellent care from James whilst we were away. Even though she is 14 she hasn’t really been away from the family but she seemed calm and happy when she was picked up. Thank you James

Leanne and Pav took such good care of Max while we were away. It was clearly a happy and loving home and they welcomed and cared for Max like he was their ow. Max was clearly very happy there. And the photo and video updates put me completely at ease about leaving him. He will definitely be going back!
Marcus and Mia were such a lovely couple - I really appreciated the daily updates, and I know Luna had a wonderful time because she came back absolutely pooped! I was also very grateful for their flexibility on timings as we were travelling quite a distance and had traffic to consider, etc. Overall a great experience. 🐾
Dan was very responsive from the first time we contacted him and also giving us updates and photos while he looked after my Dad’s Dachshund Maverick, which gave my Dad peace of mind. He took Maverick for lots of walks and Dan seemed to bond well with him. Would definitely have Dan look after Maverick again!
Winnie had such a lovely time staying with Natalie and her family. Natalie kept us up to date and sent pictures for us to see how she was getting on and Winnie looked really happy and settled there right from the start. She was walked regularly and very much part of the family. We would highly recommend Natalie.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018.
