“Phoebe had such a lovely time with Imogen. She loved spending time with Imogen’s two friendly dogs, and the overall environment of her home was safe and friendly. I would highly recommend Imogen, and will look to use her again when needed!”

“We were very apprehensive about leaving our 3 month old puppy but due to prior commitments we decided to give it a try with Cath - so pleased we did! Our pup had a great time and had the opportunity to socialise with Cath's and others dogs and came back after very happy. Cath sent through updates and pictures each day too. Would definitely recommend Cath and will be looking to book again.”

“Aofie provided absolutely wonderful care for our dog, Rosie, this past weekend. From the moment we dropped Rosie off, Aofie was incredibly friendly and reassuring, which immediately put us at ease. We especially appreciated her excellent communication, she kept us fully updated on Rosie and even sent lovely photos, which we really appreciated. It sounds like Rosie had a fabulous time playing with Mabel! We would definitely recommend Aofie to anyone looking for reliable and caring pet sitting and will certainly choose her again in the future. Five stars!”

“Fatastic experience, constant photos of my dog through out the week, her playing with other dogs being brushed couldn’t have asked for better care for my pup. It’s safe to say she had a great time”

“Kate was so lovely and was great with Zane! Zane is typically a bit nervous with new people and Kate really took the time to allow him to feel comfortable with her. Kate gave lots of updates as well as showed a genuine care for Zane (and also my house bunny Sunny who was also at my house when she sat). Kate is very kind and gentle in nature and is also great at communicating. Very easy going. Would definitely book Kate again :)”

About: Being a dog mum absolutely saved my life. Dogs are my heaven on earth so having the privilege to love and look them is something I take very seriously. It’s my calling and I really am good at it! I work from home for myself and have pretty much moulded my life around my dog so having another would just slot right in to our world. I can absolutely guarantee the same level of care and attention I give to my dog. I love to keep dogs stimulated, clean and safe. We have an open plan downstairs so lots of indoor room to roam and well secured back garden with different surfaces and plants and treats to sniff.
About: I’ve cared for multiple pets over the years, including both dogs and cats, and have always treated them like part of the family. I understand how important it is to know your pet is safe, loved, and well looked after while you’re away. I’m attentive, patient, and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, making sure they feel comfortable, happy, and cared for in my home. I work full time four days a week, but I’m home on weekends and have one weekday off, which allows me to be flexible with pet care. I plan my schedule around the pets I’m caring for to make sure they get plenty of attention, companionship, walks, and cuddles, and I’m always mindful of keeping to their usual routines. Pets in my care are treated like part of the family. We live in the countryside with a large, fully fenced garden, countryside walks just yards from our home, and an acre paddock where dogs can safely run and play. I tailor care to each pet’s usual routine, whether that’s long walks, playtime, or quieter time to relax. We have an extra large crate available for dogs who are used to sleeping in one, but dogs are also very welcome to sleep on the sofa and make themselves at home. our 2 year old German Pointer certainly does! My priority is always making sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and happy, whether in my home or following an owner’s preferences.
“How lucky we were to find Suany. She is the most amazing Dogsitter in the world. I was actually very worried that Daisy would not want to come home! I definitely plan to use her again often. I have already recommended her to many people! I can’t rate her highly enough.”

“Harry is 9 months and I had never left him before, so I was very worried. Tammy sent pictures and updates to reassure me and have him a home from home experience with lots of walks and play times. He had a lovely time and I’d recommend her.”
About: I've taken care of my own dogs and cats for nearly 10 years and also taken care of family and friends fur babies. I believe in a home from home experience for all pets cared for and a meeting prior to boarding to ensure I can best meet your pets needs will take place prior to confirmation and owners peace of mind. I am a self-employed dog walker/boarder meaning I am fully committed to each pet I am boarding and can provide excellent walks out in the country or in the local freedom field. I live in a 2 bedroom bungalow with a fenced off garden in the countryside. I have access to fantastic walking facilities aswell as a comfy and cosey, home from home experience for your fur babies.
About: I have luckily always had pets in my life. I have a dog called Effie and a cat called Beau. I have been looking after other people’s animals such as dogs, cats, pigs, chickens, you name it! I love Rover as I think it’s such a nice idea compared to catterys/kennels where my dog has felt stressed before. It’s nice to be able to go away and feel at peace that your pet is being looked after in its own environment. I work between 10-5 some days and I have found that around my schedule offers a time where I can be available to help those who work full time or are going on holiday. I am happy to stay locally so as it’s still accessible to my office. This will all be discussed if you choose to use my services. I am very organised and like to know your pets schedule as it’s just as important as mine! I offer home boarding so I am happy to work around your pets routine. I need to know their food routine, how many walks they like and how much fuss they like. Every pet is different with personalities requiring different things. I love going on walks so I have plenty of walks to offer should they require many walks but if not I am happy to chill out with them.
“Nicole and Craig were very welcoming when we dropped off our Labradoodle Darcy for a couple of weeks stay. This is the first time we have used Rover, and we were apprehensive about how Darcy would get on in a strange home. We need not have worried, it was clear from the regular updates and photos that Nicola kindly provided us with, that she was in very capable and dog friendly hands. Cannot thank Nicola and Craig enough for taking such good care of our pet. Thank you guys.”

About: I am currently studying Bio-Veterinary Science and have spent the past three years working alongside veterinarians as a helper as part of my course, gaining valuable hands-on experience in animal care. I have also worked at a dog kennel since the age of 15, giving me over five years of practical experience with dogs of all breeds and temperaments. On top of this, I have always had a pet dog of my own, so caring for animals comes naturally to me I truly understand the love, attention, and patience they deserve. I would give them love and attention whilst your out and walk, feed and look after your loving animals ! Pet care fits easily into my weekly routine as I only attend university three days a week, and each of those days I’m only in for about an hour. This means I have plenty of free time and flexibility to dedicate to walks, playtime, feeding, and giving pets the attention they need throughout the day. In my home, pets will have access to a safe and secure garden ( fenced ) where they can play and enjoy fresh air. I make sure they get regular walks, tailored to their energy levels and needs, along with plenty of playtime, cuddles, and attention. In a pet owner’s home, I follow their usual routine as closely as possible whether that’s feeding times, walks, or any special instructions—so pets feel comfortable and cared for in their own space.

- Offers a secure, home-like environment that is clean and welcoming

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in West Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
