“Absolutely wonderful experience leaving my dog with Vasiliki and her family, they honestly treated her like she was their own, taking her for wonderful walks multiple times a day, playing with her and making her feel very comfortable. Very accommodating of our routine and preferences and super helpful with updates and great photos throughout her stay. I honestly think my dog was sad to leave 😍 will be my first port of call for any dog sitting needs going forward . The perfect host! 🥰”

“Tomasz is caring and calm and great with anxious pets and happy to fit in with your and your dog's needs. Reliable and communicates well in planning stays. Strongly recommended.”

About: I’ve always had pets in my family and grew up with dogs from all backgrounds. I have no fear of dealing with stinky accidents or litter trays, and especially like a little cuddle and bit of a play when it comes to dropping by! I have my own mini schnauzer and 2 cats so I’m used to all different pet personalities, and reading their body language to know when is the right time to approach etc. I’ll always take the time to get to know your pet and make them comfortable with me, I won’t just drop and go, they deserve to get to know the person who’s popping by! I’m an animal lover through and through. If you have any questions, please shoot me a message! I work from home 4 out of 5 days of the week - and can work from anywhere with wifi and a desk! I can be flexible, and we can have a chat on the best times for me to drop by! Happy to provide day sits, and I have my own extremely friendly mini schnauzer so, if your pet would like a play friend for the day as well, we can figure something out! Shoot me message! I will take the time to get to know your pet when I first come by - I won’t just drop and go! I’ll make sure they know I’m someone they can trust and, depending on their nature, happy to give them cuddles and love, or give them their own space to thrive!

About: I have grown up with dogs of all sizes, from energetic Dachshunds to gentle Golden Retrievers. We have a deep understanding of different breed temperaments and needs. Recently, we raised and trained our own dog, Olive, from a puppy. We’ve invested significant time into her socialisation and positive reinforcement training, ensuring she is well-behaved and 'spoilt rotten' with care. We treat every guest dog with that same level of dedication and love. Please message before booking as I may have more availability then stated on rover :) I work full time, and my partner has a hybrid work schedule. To ensure your dog receives full attention, we only host pets on the days my partner works from home or I am fully available. We provide a structured routine including two long walks per day, plenty of backyard playtime, and daily mental enrichment activities like lick mats or puzzle toys to keep them happy and engaged. Our home is a fully dog-friendly environment designed with safety as a top priority. We have a large, securely fenced garden where guest dogs can play safely under supervision. Inside, the house is kept secure and free of hazards. Since we already have two friendly dogs, we are experienced in maintaining a calm, social, and supervised space, ensuring all pets feel comfortable, secure, and right at home during their stay.

“Thankyou so much to Emily, a clearly loving and happy environment, she treated Finn like one of her own, kept us up to date with pictures and videos, and he was clearly very relaxed and a happy boy who had a very fun and exciting day. (He also had a poorly foot at the time, and Emily was amazing at looking after him, being mindful and giving him his medication)”

“We would definitely use Keri and her lovely family again. They took a real interest in what they could do for Honey and were proactive in making sure they were a good fit for her. They provided regular updates and kept her well entertained . They followed our instructions as requested and took appropriate steps with the weather . I think Honey had a better holiday than us.”

“Thanks Helen and Matt - Monty seems to have been very happy with you all, and got on well with your 2 spaniels too. It was great to have some bits of feedback about how he was getting on while we were away and we got some great photos too. It was lovely to know that he was being treated as another of the family pets, and getting lots of fuss. When we picked him up he seemed happy and relaxed. I would definitely use these guys again if we needed a dog sitter!”

“Jenny is a lovely host and took great care of Chester. Chester can be a nervous doggy but he felt at home and came back a very tired boy! (He is usually full of energy)!!! Definitely recommend”

“Claudia was brilliant looking after Murphy. Keen to understand his needs, and accommodating for his crate. I'm sure Murphy is looking forward to sniffing his way around the garden again next month!”

“Such a happy pampered boy. Brian loved staying with you both and also catching up with your dogs and Bonnie was a bonus. Your communication is so good and what makes Brian happy makes me happy. Thankyou”

“We could not be happier with leaving our Lab Buddy with James. He was very welcoming and I could see straight away Buddy would be in great hands. James sent updates and pictures everyday. We couldn't be happier with this stay and look forward to having Buddy stay with James again, in the Yellowstone of Stourbridge!”

“First time leaving Ted and so grateful to Bryony for putting my mind at rest with regular updates. Ted had a fantastic time playing with his new doggy friends. Cant recommend enough.”

“First ever overnight stay for our 3 year old cocker spaniel and its a bit nerve racking for us to leave our fur baby with a stranger but its safe to say she loved her time there. Had lots of pictures and videos during her stay which was great to reassure us and will definitely be coming back for any future stayovers. Can't recommend Shannon enough and will put her name forward to any of our friends who need the service. Thank you so much Rosie loved her time”

Thankyou so much to Emily, a clearly loving and happy environment, she treated Finn like one of her own, kept us up to date with pictures and videos, and he was clearly very relaxed and a happy boy who had a very fun and exciting day. Austen has been amazing with Mylo. Right from the start it was about making Mylo feel comfortable and offered a meet and greet to ensure it was the right fit. With Mylo being a nervous dog we was unsure but he has clicked with Austen and met all of Mylos needs - thank you so much! Already booked our next visit ☺️

It was our first time leaving our six-month-old Cockerpoo with a sitter so we could take a holiday abroad. We researched the Rover site and Ellice’s name came up. Her credentials matched what we were looking for in a sitter. We met Ellice to introduce ourselves and let her meet our puppy. She agreed to look after him, and all arrangements were made. We dropped our puppy off with Ellice on our morning of travel, taking all his things so he would have familiar items during his stay. During his stay, Ellice kept us updated with photos and videos, so we could see how he was getting on. It was comforting to see him, even though we missed him. Ellice has two dogs of her own, and from the photos she sent us, they all got along well. He also seemed to be getting along with Ellice’s little girl. It was lovely to see Bolan cuddling on the sofa with Ellice, just like we do at home. We were away for 11 days, and we appreciated that it was a long time to look after a puppy, but Ellice did an amazing job. He even walked much better with us after his walks with Ellice and her family. Upon our return, she informed us that our puppy had had an upset tummy and diarrhoea, but she had dealt with it and he had recovered. We can’t thank Ellice enough for the care she gave to our puppy while we were away. She really looked after him, and we would always use her again if she was available. Our puppy even came home with a new toy!

I can’t recommend Natasha enough! She was absolutely amazing with Reggie . He got daily walks, lots of attention, and I received regular updates with photos and messages, which made me feel so much better while I was away. Drop-off and pick-up were super easy and stress-free. It was clear from the start that she really cares about the dogs she looks after. I’ll definitely be booking with her again!

Finding the right boarding environment is all about peace of mind. Boarding with a sitter on Rover helps you find a cosy experience in a real home for your dog.
When searching for a host, look for a sitter who:
- Offers a secure, home-like environment that is clean and welcoming
- Adheres to your dog’s established routine for meals, activity, and rest
- Possesses relevant experience with your pet’s specific breed, size, and personality
- Maintains clear communication regarding the frequency of photo and message updates
Don’t skip the Meet & Greet! The free Meet & Greet is the best way to see where your dog will sleep and who they might play with.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in West Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
