We met her beforehand (with our dog) to discuss his needs and he had a trial stay as we have never left him overnight. She was very understanding and accommodating. He had a fab time playing with Bryony's own dog Honey (who is patient and very tolerant) and another guest dog. He slept all day when we picked him up. Would definitely book again and highly recommend.”

About: ’ve grown up with dogs all my life, so caring for them is second nature to me. I have experience looking after pups of all ages—from energetic puppies to gentle senior dogs—and understand the unique needs each stage brings. I currently share my home with two much-loved dogs: Dodger, my 12-year-old sprocker spaniel, and Dory, my lively 2-year-old border terrier. Now recently retired, I have plenty of time to give visiting dogs the attention, patience, and companionship they deserve. I’m confident with a variety of personalities and routines. I also have two feline family members —so your pets must be happy living alongside them. Your dog will be welcomed into a calm, caring environment where they’ll be treated like part of the family. If you’re looking for reliable, loving care, I’d be delighted to help. Because I’m recently retired, pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I have plenty of time and flexibility to give both my own dogs—and any dogs I look after—the attention and care they need. I love being outdoors, so walks are a big part of my day, whether it’s a gentle stroll or a more energetic outing. With lots of free time and a genuine love for animals, I’m able to provide consistent companionship, exercise, and a calm, reliable presence throughout the day. Safety, trust, and a calm environment are always my top priorities when caring for pets. My home has a secure, fully enclosed garden where dogs can explore and enjoy some fresh air safely. There are no young children in the house, which helps keep the environment peaceful and stress-free—ideal for dogs who prefer a quieter space. I take care to follow each pet’s routine and needs closely, ensuring they feel comfortable, relaxed, and well looked after at all times.
“Claudia is calm and great with anxious pets and easy to arrange sitting with. She is really open to working with owners to meet your pet's needs. She gave Ruby a lovely mini-break & I think Ruby would happily have stayed for longer!”

“First ever overnight stay for our 3 year old cocker spaniel and its a bit nerve racking for us to leave our fur baby with a stranger but its safe to say she loved her time there. Had lots of pictures and videos during her stay which was great to reassure us and will definitely be coming back for any future stayovers. Can't recommend Shannon enough and will put her name forward to any of our friends who need the service. Thank you so much Rosie loved her time”

I can’t speak highly enough of the way Louise, Dee and Seven 😉 looked after Chester whilst we were on hols for a fortnight. It’s the 1st time we’ve ever left him with someone outside of the family and I can honestly say the daily updates (with photos) gave us great comfort he was happy and absolutely felt at “home”. We will definitely be asking Louise and Dee to look after Chester in the future.

Austen has been amazing with Mylo. Right from the start it was about making Mylo feel comfortable and offered a meet and greet to ensure it was the right fit. With Mylo being a nervous dog we was unsure but he has clicked with Austen and met all of Mylos needs - thank you so much! Already booked our next visit ☺️

It was our first time leaving our six-month-old Cockerpoo with a sitter so we could take a holiday abroad. We researched the Rover site and Ellice’s name came up. Her credentials matched what we were looking for in a sitter. We met Ellice to introduce ourselves and let her meet our puppy. She agreed to look after him, and all arrangements were made. We dropped our puppy off with Ellice on our morning of travel, taking all his things so he would have familiar items during his stay. During his stay, Ellice kept us updated with photos and videos, so we could see how he was getting on. It was comforting to see him, even though we missed him. Ellice has two dogs of her own, and from the photos she sent us, they all got along well. He also seemed to be getting along with Ellice’s little girl. It was lovely to see Bolan cuddling on the sofa with Ellice, just like we do at home. We were away for 11 days, and we appreciated that it was a long time to look after a puppy, but Ellice did an amazing job. He even walked much better with us after his walks with Ellice and her family. Upon our return, she informed us that our puppy had had an upset tummy and diarrhoea, but she had dealt with it and he had recovered. We can’t thank Ellice enough for the care she gave to our puppy while we were away. She really looked after him, and we would always use her again if she was available. Our puppy even came home with a new toy!

I can’t recommend Natasha enough! She was absolutely amazing with Reggie . He got daily walks, lots of attention, and I received regular updates with photos and messages, which made me feel so much better while I was away. Drop-off and pick-up were super easy and stress-free. It was clear from the start that she really cares about the dogs she looks after. I’ll definitely be booking with her again!

You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in West Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
