“Marley loved being babysat by Ruta! Punctual and organised from the outset, Ruta was a safe pair of hands throughout the house-sitting stay. She asked detailed, intelligent questions in her visit a few days before the actual housesit, quickly getting the measure of our very excited dog. During her time at our house, Ruta spent plenty of time walking and playing with Marley, giving insightful updates and reassuring pics on regular occasions. She was perfect for Marley, and Ruth's professional yet thoughtful demeanour meant my wife and I could properly relax while being away. We wouldn't hesitate before calling upon Ruta's help again in the future.”

“Alina is a lovely person and clearly has an affinity with animals. She house sat my 2 dogs ( one young and one old) and when I returned my dogs were very happy relaxed and contented. My house was as I left it - thank you Alina 😊🙏🏼”

“Our dog has separation anxiety, and this was the first time we felt confident enough to leave him with a dogsitter, after an initial meeting with Nicole went well. Nicole was very friendly, gave him a high level of attention, and clearly put him at ease. She did a great job, and we will certainly book again.”

“Anna was a really great house guest and a fantastic dog sitter. She made me feel so at ease leave my dog for a week. She had great communication and gave us lots of photos and updates throughout the week. Would definitely have Anna dog sit again.”

About: I knew straight from before i started school that i wanted to work with animals, so that’s what i pursued. I have always had pets growing up since i could walk and have taken care of them, these pets have been from snakes, ducks to stick insects to dogs and cats etc - training (a wide variety of tricks and commands) and raising every pet myself. In addition to that i have had family and friends rely on me to care and dog sit their pets along with some training of my own pets. I am most passionate about all animals and have studied animal welfare in college for 2 years and i have studied dog grooming level 2 in college for the 3rd year so i have a LOT of experience with all kinds of animals. In addition, I foster cats and kittens for the RSPCA which requires administering medications, giving them the love they deserve and special routines for every individual cat. I have always loved animals and know how to care and read their behaviour accordingly no matter the breed or animal :) . I am currently looking for a job and applying to different places but right now I volunteer at a hospital cafe every Tuesday. But other than that I care for foster cats/kittens all hours of the day whenever I can as they need my upmost attention. I will not be able to board your pets and my home as i live with my family until i’m on my feet and they wouldn’t be happy with that. Besides that i will care for your animals with the most love for them and make sure they are in the safest environment and situations possible at all times at your home or on walks.
“Courtnay was an excellent dog sitter and the babies took to her after a very short time. She was very on time and I felt very relaxed leaving my babies with her. Highly recommended 😄”

“Evette did an absolutely amazing job looking after the dogs, I was very impressed with the effort she put in to take them walking to different places. She kept me informed of everything they were upto and I had photos sent to me of very tired dogs after there days adventuring. I will definitely be using her services again”

About: I have been involved with dogs all my life, although Max, my 5yr. old Labrador is only my third dog. Max, who I have trained to be an excellent gun dog, is friendly with all dogs and people. However, he is intact, so ladies in, or close to season would be unfair to all parties. My situation, just 100yds. from Wyre Forest allows me to give your dog a new and exciting walking experience without any driving, with Max as a very friendly companion. In addition your dog will have the run of my medium sized secure garden at all times with all day opportunity for toilet ops. If required, I can provide basic training-sit, stay, recall, heel, etc. I am a retired pensioner with a dog so my daily/weekly routine is almost entirely centred on my home and my dog. An additional dog would make very little difference to this routine with the bonus of company for each. My garden is fenced and dog proof. Although my dog is walked without a lead in the forest, all visitors would be on a lead, and a 20mtr running line would be available if required. At night, my visitors would sleep in my conservatory, with water nearby and be able to access the garden if necessary.

About: For most of my life I have either had family pets or my own. I have been asked by friends and family to care for their animals whiled they have been away, whether it be for 1 night or weeks long holidays. This has given me experiences with puppies all the way through to senior animals. I am ex military currently studying to become a counsellor/psychotherapist with a love of animals. “Zowie took fabulous care of my very bouncy dog and two cats while I was away. Zowie very kindly sent me updates so I didn't have to worry how my pets were coping. I came back to a lovely tidy house, happy cats and a dog who was very sad to see Zowie go. I would certainly recommend Zowie and would be happy to have her back again.”

Pet owners share their Rover experiences - Wyre Forest
I can’t speak highly enough of Matilda. Thank you so much for looking after our dog, Sully and our home. We came back to a very happy Sully that has clearly been looked after and cared for so well. There was plenty of contact and photo updates of our boy whilst we were on holiday and Matilda was so conscientious with her care and wanted to ensure that she followed his normal routine. I would highly recommend and will definitely be booking again. Thanks so much. 😊 Your care really put us at ease to allow us to enjoy our holiday.

Evette looked after Tilly in our home when we were on holiday. She is very experienced in looking after dogs of all ages. Tilly had injured her leg just before we went away. Evette managed this situation with great care and empathy. She also administered Tilly’s medication with no problem. Evette cared for Tilly with love and empathy and in a professional manner. She also looked after our bungalow with care and left it looking neat and tidy. We would certainly have no hesitation in having Evette house sit Tilly when we are away.

What a lovely lovely lady ,Emily exceeded our expectations by a mile ..the boys loved her the minute they meet her ,it was like they'd known her for years. We will be booking Emily again for a overnight stay for the boys. Would highly recommend this wonderful lady .🐕🐶

A repeat booking of this fantastic couple. Mai and Joe stayed in our house for a week to look after our elderly spaniel, Dexter. We came home to a happy, relaxed dog and clean, tidy house. A professional and trustworthy service, would highly recommend. Thanks both!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Wyre Forest walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wyre Forest choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
