“Anna is amazing this is the second time Anna has looked after our 2 dogs and we really can't fault her. The dogs love Anna and are so excited to see her they definatley remembered her and were so excited when she popped round to collect the keys. We wouldn't want to leave our two with anyone else.”

“Sophie was quick to respond and was very accommodating, looking after two cats and two gekkoes as well as house sitting. She sent through regular updates with pictures and videos and Ginger seemed to be very happy. She left the house clean and tidy. Would recommend & will definitely rebook.”

About: My family have always had dogs since I was born. We currently have an 18 month old cocker spaniel who I have trained from a pup successfully. I have also dog sat for family members and friends I’m currently working full time in the week. But can do pop in visits on evenings / over night stays on the weekends. Also able to offer walks morning and evenings. I provide reliable and loving care for pets in their own home, where they can feel comfortable and relaxed in their familiar surroundings. I understand that every dog has their own routine, personality and needs, so I take the time to get to know each pet and follow their usual schedule as closely as possible. I am also happy to provide regular updates and photos throughout my time with your dogs, being a dog owner myself I understand how important is it to ensure your dog is in good hands.
“Simon looked after my dog and cat for the weekend and I received regular updates and photos too. Simon had a clear affinity with both on the meet and greet! I did not need to worry for the whole weekend I was away and I returned back to a happy dog and cat. Thank you Simon! Piggy and Salem say hi 😁”

About: I have been caring for animals as long as I can remember. My mother was a Kennel Club breeder when I was little so I learned to care for pups from a young age. Today, I have two dogs and a cat of my own, and I frequently pet sit for my friends and family. Because of this, I truly understand the trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else. My background gives me a deep understanding of animal health and comfort. I attended an RSPCA veterinary summer school, where I studied anatomy and observed surgeries, which helps me spot when a pet is unwell. I also have hands-on experience helping a neighbor with her grooming business, learning how to keep different breeds calm and comfortable. I promise to provide a quiet, safe, and dependable environment for your pet, following their usual routines. Whether they need medical attention, a peaceful walk, or just a quiet companion, I will care for them with the same patience and love I give my own. As my exams are finishing up, I am fully open and flexible for summer pet sitting! Because I am on summer break, I can dedicate my days and nights to your pets and adapt entirely to their usual routines.I am happy to be at your house as much as you need me to keep your pets company. I do return to my own home briefly to care for my own pets, or pop out for errands, but I will always prioritize your pet's schedule and never leave them alone longer than we agree on. My weekends are mostly open, though I have a few pre-planned camping trips and holidays over the summer, which will always be marked off on my Rover calendar well in advance. Safety and peace of mind are my top priorities when staying in your home. I ensure all doors and gates remain fully secure, keep dogs strictly leashed on walks, and follow your house rules exactly. I build trust by sending regular photo updates so you know your pets are happy and settled. My RSPCA veterinary summer school training helps me quickly spot if an animal is unwell or uncomfortable. Before your trip, I always note down your vet’s details and emergency contacts.
“We were nervous about using a pet sitter for the first time, but Abi was amazing. She looked after our home and took fantastic care of our dog and cats by following their exact routine. We will absolutely be booking her again!”
About: Taking care of our family dogs, cats and small animals for 12 years! We love all animals and you can rely on the fact they will be in a very safe and loving environment. We both work from home 9-5 and do a 2 hour walk after work, so pet care will fit into our routine perfectly. Your pet will never be alone as we will be with them 24/7. We have a secure and looked after garden, which dogs will have full run of this all day. Our downstairs is also open plan, so they can sit with us. We also drive so would be able to visit peoples homes to look after pets!

About: I’ve had dogs in my life since childhood and have extensive experience caring for different breeds and temperaments. Over the years my family has had Pinschers, Mini Poodles, Labradoodles, and Rottweilers, which has given me hands-on experience with both small and large dogs. Being around dogs my entire life has helped me understand their behaviors, needs, and personalities. I genuinely enjoy caring for them and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well looked after. My schedule is extremely flexible and I am self employed. I walk my dog for at least an hour a day in the beautiful woodlands and whilst on walks i do some training too. I have a valid CRB check that is live. I take pride in looking after your dogs and respect your privacy. Confidentiality is key part of my service.

About: As a proud cat owner and experienced dog carer, I understand how important it is to feel completely confident leaving your pet with someone else. While I haven’t owned a dog recently, I regularly care for friends’ dogs and am comfortable with a range of personalities and needs. I’ve even looked after a dog with seizures, staying calm and following clear steps to ensure they were safe and comfortable. Whether your dog needs long walks, gentle company, or a little extra attention, I provide patient, attentive care and treat every pet like my own. I currently work on a 7-14 shift pattern, so I am available during weekends and week days where needed and almost most hours. I also have some shifts that require early or late finishes so I can be available before and after these also. Whilst I can't have pets at my own house, I understand the importance of having a safe environment for ones pet. Your pet’s safety is always my top priority. I provide a secure, pet-friendly environment with a high, fully enclosed fence to ensure dogs can play and explore safely. Gates are kept closed and checked regularly, and I’m always mindful of surroundings during walks to avoid busy roads or potential hazards. Indoors, I make sure the space is calm, clean, and free from anything that could pose a risk. Whether your pet is energetic or a little more cautious, I create a safe, structured environment where they can feel relaxed and comfortable.
“Jessica was fantastic with Max and he absolutely adores her. She's reliable, prompt and very trustworthy and I felt very happy knowing Max was in safe hands. Will definitely be booking again.”

“This young lady is wonderful. She sent photographs of my dog on a regular basis. Sansa sat by her. Which is amazing as she never sits next to anybody. Isabellas's quite confidence worked really well with Sansa as gpt used to her. Even. Better she left my house spotless. Bedding washed and dried abd replaced. A real Gem Do not hesitate to book her.”

“With this being the first time we’d left our puppy for a 2 week holiday, I was understandably nervous, however Charleigh really was wonderful. Staying at our house for the duration Charleigh took great care of Rocky, with regular updates to keep my mind at rest. She was respectful of our house too and I instantly felt at ease. I wouldn’t hesitate to book Charleigh again if we find ourselves heading to sunnier skies again.”

“Zowie took fabulous care of my very bouncy dog and two cats while I was away. Zowie very kindly sent me updates so I didn't have to worry how my pets were coping. I came back to a lovely tidy house, happy cats and a dog who was very sad to see Zowie go. I would certainly recommend Zowie and would be happy to have her back again.”

Highly recommend Laura. Kind, considerate and genuinely cares for your pet and home whilst you are away. Our Vizsla enjoyed being care for by Laura, our dog was relaxed, well exercised and content when we returned home and you could see the bond built between Laura and our dog during the week. When Laura left to go home, it was wonderful to see that our dog wanted to say bye and have a cuddle before she left. Would ask Laura to house/dog sit again. Paul & Jo

Jess is fantastic and has taken such good care of our dog and cat, she treats all pets like they're her own and nothing is too much trouble for her. Loved the regular updates throughout the day to see how they were and it was lovely to see how relaxed they were with Jess. Would recommend to anyone looking for someone who understands pets are family.
Sharon and Evie have been great looking after my dog in my home for 4 nights. I received regular updates and photos so was able to enjoy a holiday with the reassurance that my dog was happy and well cared for. All of Frank’s needs were met and house was looked after. Thank you again!

Fantastic!!! Everything we asked for our dog was carried out as requested & beyond. When we returned to our house it was spotlessly clean. It was a very tough decision to leave our dog with a stranger but that was soon made easier once we saw how she bonded Alicja. I honestly cant reccomended Alicja highly enough to house/dog sit. Everything we asked of her was followed above & beyond expectation. We had daily pupdates & videos which helped us to enjoy our holiday. I really hope Alicja is still doing this service in years to come as she will be our No1 choice for our next big holiday.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Dudley walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Dudley choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
