“We booked Mylo in for a week with Bryony whilst we were away on holiday. He would usually stay with my parents however they were away with us and so was very apprehensive about leaving him with anyone else! We booked him for a 1 night stay so he could familiarise himself before staying the full week. He clearly had an amazing time on both occasions, and Bryony kept us updated with photos which provided great peace of mind. Would highly recommend Bryony’s service - with a beautiful location, great family and dog-friendly setup 🐶”
“Can't thank Reece and his partner enough for looking after chop. Chop clearly loved his stay with them and it was absolutely amazing to have updates via WhatsApp of chop and what they got up too! Would definitely recommend them both as dog sitters and can definitely trust them. Chop had a brilliant time and settled well which is something I was anxious about. Will definitely use Reece as a dog sitter again!”

“Thanks Clare for looking after our three dogs for the weekend! They all had a super time, were happy and content when we arrived to collect them and it was evident they had been well cared for. Communication from Clare throughout their stay was excellent and we were kept well informed of how they were getting on. I wouldn't hesitate to leave our dogs with Clare again. We thoroughly recommend her- humans and hounds alike! Thank you again.”

“Amazing, Duke had a great time at his overnight stay. Joseph sent plenty of pictures and videos of duke over the two days which was very reassuring and followed his schedule. Will definitely book again!”

“Iveta was brilliant. She was super responsive on the app (especially given that I had to arrange it at very short notice). She sent lots of nice pupdates and it’s clear that she really cares about the dogs she looks after. 100% would recommend and also would use her services again if we need to!”

“My dog has never boarded before using Rover and Courtney was great ! We had photos and messages My dog is a rare breed and very reactive so I was worried about how he was going to behave in a home with another dog ! All good however I didn’t send him with food and he did try to eat Olives food (Courtney’s dog) my own fault I should have sent food ! I felt awful about this but reassuringly Courtney was lovely about it x would recommend use again !!! Thank you Cavapoo Mum”

About: I’ve taken care of pets since I was 12 years old. I routinely pet sit friends dogs from walks to day care and overnight stays. Including elderly dogs. We have the most adorable and loving Bosnian rescue Nala in our home and she would love nothing more than a friend she can play with. There are a large amount of walks locally to our address which offer different environments for every dogs needs. We will give lots of updates - photographs and videos - so you know your dog is safe and happy during his stay. My partner and I are shift workers so there is always someone at home. We work shift patterns which enable any pet to have lots of attention, plenty of walks and anything they require. We are flexible and are able to accommodate due to shift patterns. I have a fence garden with faux grass. Pets can be crated if needed and enjoy plenty of rooms in the house to enjoy. Pet cameras located in main areas around the house. A friendly resident rescue dog resides at the property who is full of love and loves every day she meets.
About: *Owner of two beautiful, well behaved female German Shepherds *Time, love and affection *Boundaries and general training knowledge *Different walks in different areas for us and the dogs to enjoy. *First thing I will walk my/others dogs. *Feed the dogs after they have settled after walking. *Let them settle so I have time for my duties. *Keep them occupied when needed with toys, healthy chews or simple training. My house is pet friendly and kept clean and decluttered to prevent damage. Hard floors throughout the downstairs area and utility. Large back garden with secure fencing all round.
“Kim and Jamie was absolutely fantastic with Bruno for the weekend, he hadn’t been away from home before and Kim had so much patience with him, she sent lots of updates and pictures to us and we will definitely be using her again highly recommended”

About: It’s a tad cliche but I am truly a crazy dog woman who prefers them to humans. It’s my life mission to meet as many furry angels as possible! I get the joy of meeting many dogs who come to hang out while their parents are doing a show and would love to also meet your fur baby! ✨🫧✨ My love for dogs came from my childhood dog Rosie who lived until the big old age of 16 and a half. She grew with me as I went through high school, college, uni and my dream career in theatre. With Rosie’s age came a few medical conditions that have given me the skills to care for elderly/sick dogs. Giving them oral medication and monitoring their overall health. Recently, my family and I adopted our first Romanian Rescue pup called Ringo. He’s a bundle of energy, requiring two walks a day and hours of attention/enrichment. Quite the contrast to our old girl Rosie! But a great way for me to learn how to train a younger dog and also how to tire out a dog with endless energy. ✨🫧✨ I am Halesowen based and without a car at the moment but I am happy to fund my own travel where it is fitting. Any questions, please message! I am currently working in Birmingham on shifts that work like a 0 hour contract. Please message me even if it says that I am booked as sometimes I am not at work until the evening and I could work my schedule around yours! After working in professional theatre for ten years I have travelled around the country/world and I have stayed in a lot of homes for my digs with no complaints. I am very respectful in someone else’s home and I am very vigilant when it comes to making sure a space is safe for a pet as my own dog will find anything that isn’t nailed down for him to play with. I will always ask for a Meet and Greet if it’s possible, just so I can meet you and your dog before you commit to having me care for your pet. I understand just how much our dogs mean to us and want you to feel as comfortable as possible with me caring for them and your home if you choose a sitting service. (If it’s needed, I can also bring my dog Ringo with me to see if our dogs are compatible for boarding)
About: I have several years of hands-on experience caring for a wide range of pets, including dogs, cats, rabbits, and small animals. My responsibilities have included daily feeding, administering medication, walking dogs of all sizes and temperaments, cleaning litter trays and cages, and providing plenty of play, cuddles, and companionship to keep pets happy while their owners are away. Pet care is a natural and important part of my daily routine. Whether I’m feeding, walking, or spending quality time with animals, I always make time each day to ensure they’re happy, healthy, and well looked after. I plan my schedule around their needs—morning and evening walks, feeding times, play sessions, and any specific routines the pet is used to. When caring for pets in their own home, I follow the owner’s instructions closely to maintain the pet’s usual routine. I make sure they are fed on time, walked regularly, and given lots of attention and play. I keep their environment clean and comfortable by refreshing water bowls, cleaning litter trays or outdoor areas, and tidying up after any mess. I also send regular updates and photos to reassure the owner while they’re away. I respect the home as if it were my own—secure, tidy, and with the pet’s comfort as the top priority.
“We could not be happier with leaving our Lab Buddy with James. He was very welcoming and I could see straight away Buddy would be in great hands. James sent updates and pictures everyday. We couldn't be happier with this stay and look forward to having Buddy stay with James again, in the Yellowstone of Stourbridge!”

“Ruben had a great time with Karolina and her family last week. She sent us regular updates during the week which was very appreciated as it was the first time we’d left him overnight and longer. He came back happy and relaxed. She is kind and caring and I highly recommend her!”

About: Dogs have always been a huge part of my life and I have the joy of caring for dogs since childhood and currently my world revolves around my three-year-old beagle. As his sole owner, I understand the love dedication and responsibility it takes to keep a dog happy healthy and well exercised. My experience caring for my own dog has taught me the importance of patience, attentiveness and making sure every moment is enjoyable for them! I look forward to looking after your furry friends! I work full-time mostly from home and have a great routine with my own dog. Walks are scheduled in throughout the day so it would be easy to adapt to look after another. I live in a three bedroom house so there’s plenty of space and a large garden that’s fenced off. I have a dog of my own who can be high energy but loves a play mate. I can accommodate walks throughout the day and any additional requirements such as feeding and crating.
About: Growing up with springer spaniels since I was old enough to walk. Now having my own house and children we now have our own springer spaniel, who is senior, and a spring cross puppy. I am available for walks, and drop in care within Kinver and the surrounding areas. Offering drop in and walking services around kinver and surrounding as I work from home, I can work my schedule around you and your dog. “We can't thank Antonio and Patricia enough for looking after our boy Ralph. We could tell he was very well taken care of, and Antonio's place was like a home away from home for him. Antonio put my mind at ease with reassuring updates and being transparent about how the stay had gone :) Ralph got on well with resident tiny Peanut too - it was lovely to see them relaxing together. We wouldn't hesitate to ask Antonio and family to have Ralph for us again and recommend them highly. Thank you! Lilly and Charlie”

“Lucas and his partner are super friendly and really care for your pets! We met for a couple of dog walks prior to get Gunther used to both Lucas and his partner before his stay so he felt more comfortable! Lucas and his partner are very accommodating! We had daily updates on Gunther with photos, updates included how he’d been settling, how he slept, if any walks, what they were up to that day etc! We loved these updates and it put us at ease with this being Gunthers first time not staying with family members, we were happy Gunther was happy and we’d definitely recommend Lucas and his partner to others and would love to book again in the future!!”

Vasiliki looked after our dog Mitzy whilst we went abroad on holiday for 11 nights. She cared for her so wonderfully. Providing detailed updates and photos. Mitzy really had an amazing time at Vasilikis house, I think she’s sad to be back home she loved it that much! I would not hesitate to use Vasiliki again when we need someone to look after Mitzy. Very impressed overall. Thank you Vasiliki 😘

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10/10 – Couldn’t recommend Kylee enough! Kylee looked after our two dogs, Monty and Poppy, for two nights while we were away for our wedding, and she was absolutely amazing! 🐾❤️ I was naturally a little nervous about leaving them, especially with everything else going on around the wedding, but Kylee completely put our minds at ease from the start. We were kept in the loop throughout with updates, which meant we could relax and enjoy our wedding knowing they were happy, safe and being so well looked after. It’s safe to say Monty and Poppy were well and truly spoilt 😂🥰 They were clearly so comfortable with Kylee and received so much love and attention. We honestly couldn’t have asked for anyone better to look after them. Thank you so much, Kylee, for taking such amazing care of our babies and giving us one less thing to worry about during such an important weekend! ❤️ 10/10, would 100% recommend Kylee to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring and brilliant with their pets! 🐶🐾💕

Excellent! Alanah was brilliant with our Cavapoo for a week while we were on holiday. He was well looked after and she was always sending us pictures while we were away to keep us updated of how our dog was doing. There was a minor issue at the end, but Alanah was on the ball and sorted it immediately without any issues which is only one of the reasons why this deserves such a good review. We would fully recommend her and would have no doubts using her again. Thanks again Alanah! 😊 Dale & Kelly

Could not have asked for a better service! Had plenty of pictures to put my mind at ease, communication was fantastic and he came back absolutely shattered after some great walks with Cooper! 😂 This was the first time I’d left Herbie with anyone other than friends or family, so naturally was a little nervous, but there was no need; he received such great care and I could tell he was even a bit peeved to be home 😂 Would recommend Kate and Fran to anyone who’s interested and I hope they’ll have my boy again if needed, so so happy!

First ever overnight stay for our 3 year old cocker spaniel and its a bit nerve racking for us to leave our fur baby with a stranger but its safe to say she loved her time there. Had lots of pictures and videos during her stay which was great to reassure us and will definitely be coming back for any future stayovers. Can't recommend Shannon enough and will put her name forward to any of our friends who need the service. Thank you so much Rosie loved her time

I feel very lucky to have found Isabella. Not only did my dog adore her, she left my home beautifully clean and tidy. She was very thoughtful, trustworthy and kind. I think my dog actually missed her when i came home! I would have no hesitation in reccommending her, and will definitely have her to look after my dog again.

Louis had a great 1 week stay with Bryony and was well looked after while we were away. Bryony was kind enough to send us photos at regular intervals so that we could see how he was doing and that he had settled in okay. If we need a dog boarder again, we will definitely be in touch with Bryony to see if she can help.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
