“Dooey had a fantastic time with Alanah. It was most definitely a home from home stay. I would highly recommend Alanah to care for your fur babies whilst you’re away, they’ll be in great hands. Alanah’s communication from the first enquiry was responded to swiftly and gave me confidence in booking Dooey stay with her, this communication continued whilst we were away and had regular updates with photos. Dooeys highlight was a trip out to watch the England game with Alanah.😊”

“My dog has never boarded before using Rover and Courtney was great ! We had photos and messages My dog is a rare breed and very reactive so I was worried about how he was going to behave in a home with another dog ! All good however I didn’t send him with food and he did try to eat Olives food (Courtney’s dog) my own fault I should have sent food ! I felt awful about this but reassuringly Courtney was lovely about it x would recommend use again !!! Thank you Cavapoo Mum”

“Absolutely fantastic olly our cocker spaniel had a wonderful time, we were kept updated with regular photos.. we would definitely book with Bryony again without hesitation x”

About: It’s a tad cliche but I am truly a crazy dog woman who prefers them to humans. It’s my life mission to meet as many furry angels as possible! I get the joy of meeting many dogs who come to hang out while their parents are doing a show and would love to also meet your fur baby! ✨🫧✨ My love for dogs came from my childhood dog Rosie who lived until the big old age of 16 and a half. She grew with me as I went through high school, college, uni and my dream career in theatre. With Rosie’s age came a few medical conditions that have given me the skills to care for elderly/sick dogs. Giving them oral medication and monitoring their overall health. Recently, my family and I adopted our first Romanian Rescue pup called Ringo. He’s a bundle of energy, requiring two walks a day and hours of attention/enrichment. Quite the contrast to our old girl Rosie! But a great way for me to learn how to train a younger dog and also how to tire out a dog with endless energy. ✨🫧✨ I am Halesowen based and without a car at the moment but I am happy to fund my own travel where it is fitting. Any questions, please message! I am currently working in Birmingham on shifts that work like a 0 hour contract. Please message me even if it says that I am booked as sometimes I am not at work until the evening and I could work my schedule around yours! After working in professional theatre for ten years I have travelled around the country/world and I have stayed in a lot of homes for my digs with no complaints. I am very respectful in someone else’s home and I am very vigilant when it comes to making sure a space is safe for a pet as my own dog will find anything that isn’t nailed down for him to play with. I will always ask for a Meet and Greet if it’s possible, just so I can meet you and your dog before you commit to having me care for your pet. I understand just how much our dogs mean to us and want you to feel as comfortable as possible with me caring for them and your home if you choose a sitting service. (If it’s needed, I can also bring my dog Ringo with me to see if our dogs are compatible for boarding)
“100% would recommend Karolina ❤️ I have always been fearful and worried about leaving my fur baby with anyone except family, but can honestly say Karonlina and her lovely daughter treated and loved Cocoa as if she was part of their family. From the first interaction, Karolina showed instant care and a calm nature, which helped Cocoa settle very quickly. I was provided with updates and pictures, which provided the reassurance I needed. Karolina is very knowledgable about dogs and understands their needs. Cocoa was very well cared for and when we picked her up it was very clear she was super comfortable and happy in her adoptive home. Thank you so much Karolina, we will definitely see you again soon ❤️”

“We could not be happier with leaving our Lab Buddy with James. He was very welcoming and I could see straight away Buddy would be in great hands. James sent updates and pictures everyday. We couldn't be happier with this stay and look forward to having Buddy stay with James again, in the Yellowstone of Stourbridge!”

“This is the 2nd time Iveta has looked after Milo and we had the same excellent communication which kept me reassured Milo was being well looked after. I am looking to book again soon.”

“Can't thank Reece and his partner enough for looking after chop. Chop clearly loved his stay with them and it was absolutely amazing to have updates via WhatsApp of chop and what they got up too! Would definitely recommend them both as dog sitters and can definitely trust them. Chop had a brilliant time and settled well which is something I was anxious about. Will definitely use Reece as a dog sitter again!”

About: Dogs have always been a huge part of my life and I have the joy of caring for dogs since childhood and currently my world revolves around my three-year-old beagle. As his sole owner, I understand the love dedication and responsibility it takes to keep a dog happy healthy and well exercised. My experience caring for my own dog has taught me the importance of patience, attentiveness and making sure every moment is enjoyable for them! I look forward to looking after your furry friends! I work full-time mostly from home and have a great routine with my own dog. Walks are scheduled in throughout the day so it would be easy to adapt to look after another. I live in a three bedroom house so there’s plenty of space and a large garden that’s fenced off. I have a dog of my own who can be high energy but loves a play mate. I can accommodate walks throughout the day and any additional requirements such as feeding and crating.

“Reached out to these guys for regular dog sitting for our two cocker spaniels. Met up and had a lovely walk and our dogs got on with their dog instantly. We have just left them overnight and we had such peace of mind. Extremely well looked after and more walks than the dogs could ask for. Great couple. Definitely recommend & will use again.”

About: Hi, I’m Steph 😊 I offer a calm, home from home dog boarding and daycare service in Wombourne, where your dog will be treated like part of the family 🐶 I am a qualified nurse, I work from home and live alone. My dogs are my whole world, so I truly understand how important it is to find someone you can fully trust with your pet. Any dog in my care will be looked after exactly like my own, with lots of attention, affection, and a safe, loving environment 💛 I’ve had dogs since I was 5 years old and have always been surrounded by them. Alongside my own two dogs, I regularly care for my parents’ three dogs as well as dogs belonging to other family members and friends, so I am very experienced with different personalities and routines. I only accept small, to smaller-medium dogs, as I have two very tiny dogs of my own. I also have a very friendly cat who is used to dogs, she tends to spend most of her time upstairs, so this usually isn’t an issue, but dogs must be comfortable around cats and other dogs. I only take 1–2 dogs at a time, ensuring a calm, low stress environment with plenty of one to one care. My home is cosy, relaxed, and ideal for dogs who prefer a quieter setting rather than busy kennels. I’ll always keep you updated with regular photos and messages so you can relax knowing your dog is happy and settled 🐾 I am a qualified nurse and work from home, so dogs will not be left alone and will have company throughout the day. My routine allows me to provide consistent care, supervision and attention. So your dogs will have plenty of love, cuddles and play time in my house 🥰 Evenings and weekends are fully focused on the dogs in my care, with plenty of walks, playtime and relaxation. I only take 1–2 dogs at a time to ensure a calm, “home from home” environment with plenty of individual attention. I focus on making the dogs feel most at ease, and treating them like I would my own, who are extremely loved and spoilt! 🐶 I have a secure, fully fenced garden and a calm home environment. I live alone, so your dog will be in a quiet, consistent space with no busy household distractions. I have two very small, friendly dogs and a very gentle cat who mostly stays upstairs. Dogs must be comfortable around other dogs and ok with a cat. I follow each dog’s usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding, walking and sleep. Dogs are welcome on the sofa and bed if this is something you allow at home, however, dogs can be crated if preferred ☺️ Owners are asked to provide their dog’s food to maintain consistency. Safety is always my top priority, doors and gates are kept secure at all times, and dogs are always supervised in the garden.

Caring for animals is a full time job so I make sure I am available at all times of the day :) I will also follow any instructions/rules you have related to your animal in your home, need me to crate your dog? I can do that. Need me to brush your cat? hand me over the brush please! :) i do work but as i work for myself i can completely work around your pet☺️ the max time i will leave your pet is 5 hours no matter what but please let me know if they can’t be left alone for too long! i will always keep pets on lead if i’m not 100% if they can be let off or not. i will make sure i go in the garden with your pet for toilet breaks
About: I have several years of hands-on experience caring for a wide range of pets, including dogs, cats, rabbits, and small animals. My responsibilities have included daily feeding, administering medication, walking dogs of all sizes and temperaments, cleaning litter trays and cages, and providing plenty of play, cuddles, and companionship to keep pets happy while their owners are away. Pet care is a natural and important part of my daily routine. Whether I’m feeding, walking, or spending quality time with animals, I always make time each day to ensure they’re happy, healthy, and well looked after. I plan my schedule around their needs—morning and evening walks, feeding times, play sessions, and any specific routines the pet is used to. When caring for pets in their own home, I follow the owner’s instructions closely to maintain the pet’s usual routine. I make sure they are fed on time, walked regularly, and given lots of attention and play. I keep their environment clean and comfortable by refreshing water bowls, cleaning litter trays or outdoor areas, and tidying up after any mess. I also send regular updates and photos to reassure the owner while they’re away. I respect the home as if it were my own—secure, tidy, and with the pet’s comfort as the top priority.

Excellent! Alanah was brilliant with our Cavapoo for a week while we were on holiday. He was well looked after and she was always sending us pictures while we were away to keep us updated of how our dog was doing. There was a minor issue at the end, but Alanah was on the ball and sorted it immediately without any issues which is only one of the reasons why this deserves such a good review. We would fully recommend her and would have no doubts using her again. Thanks again Alanah! 😊 Dale & Kelly

Could not have asked for a better service! Had plenty of pictures to put my mind at ease, communication was fantastic and he came back absolutely shattered after some great walks with Cooper! 😂 This was the first time I’d left Herbie with anyone other than friends or family, so naturally was a little nervous, but there was no need; he received such great care and I could tell he was even a bit peeved to be home 😂 Would recommend Kate and Fran to anyone who’s interested and I hope they’ll have my boy again if needed, so so happy!

First ever overnight stay for our 3 year old cocker spaniel and its a bit nerve racking for us to leave our fur baby with a stranger but its safe to say she loved her time there. Had lots of pictures and videos during her stay which was great to reassure us and will definitely be coming back for any future stayovers. Can't recommend Shannon enough and will put her name forward to any of our friends who need the service. Thank you so much Rosie loved her time

I feel very lucky to have found Isabella. Not only did my dog adore her, she left my home beautifully clean and tidy. She was very thoughtful, trustworthy and kind. I think my dog actually missed her when i came home! I would have no hesitation in reccommending her, and will definitely have her to look after my dog again.

Louis had a great 1 week stay with Bryony and was well looked after while we were away. Bryony was kind enough to send us photos at regular intervals so that we could see how he was doing and that he had settled in okay. If we need a dog boarder again, we will definitely be in touch with Bryony to see if she can help.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
