About: I’ve always been around dogs (mainly German shepards and cocker spaniels) so I’m used to bigger dogs. I enjoy teaching new tricks and have even taught my cat tricks! I’m currently training to be a teacher so during the summer holidays I’m free most days/times - however, I am usually busy Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6pm -11:30pm. If you’re interested or would like to book a different time, please just ask and I’ll see what I can do! I’ll make sure to follow any instructions given to ensure that your pup gets the best care possible and, they feel comfortable with their normal routines.

Wherever we went, I would gently coax stray dogs into our car to take them to the vet and give them a safe, loving home. This lifelong passion for helping dogs is at the core of the care I provide today. :) I work flexibly from home, so I can provide walks and companionship as often as your dog needs throughout the day. My husband also works from home, ensuring your dog will never be left alone while in our care. I do school drop-offs and pick-ups on foot for our 1 child, and if your dog enjoys a stroll (about 15 minutes each way), I’d love to bring them along for some extra exercise and fresh air. If you’d prefer your dog to stay at home during these times, that’s no problem—my husband and I coordinate so one of us is always at home with your pet. I’m happy to follow your dog’s usual schedule and routines, including feeding times, quantities, medication, walk times, and any special instructions you have. Please feel free to let me know exactly what works best for your dog—I’m here to make sure they feel comfortable and cared for! I have a spacious, fenced back garden where your dog can safely run, play, or simply relax. Inside, there’s plenty of room for them to feel comfortable and at home. For your dog’s safety and comfort, I exclusively use leads, harnesses, beds, crates, and other equipment you provide—this way, your dog enjoys the familiarity of their own gear and routine. I ask that owners supply everything their pet needs for their stay, including food, medication, and any special items, so I can offer the most personalized care possible. I always follow each dog’s unique routine, from feeding schedules to special care instructions, and I’m happy to send regular updates and photos so you can feel at ease while you’re away. Our home is filled with love for dogs—both adults and our gentle, dog-loving 9-year-old are devoted to making every guest feel welcome. About: My experience with fostering pets started several years ago, when my friend found a 1-month-old kitten on the street and rescued it, but was unable to keep it in her home, so she asked me to foster until we find him a permanent home. I named the little guy Simba (original, I know!) and took care of him for 3 months before finding him a permanent, loving home. Since then, I have been housesitting dogs, cats, and even rabbits. I am studying remotely at Open University, so I have plenty of time to play with your pets, cuddle them and take them for walks. I care for pets in their own home by following their usual routines to keep them happy, comfortable, and stress-free. I start by learning all about their needs—feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medication (if needed), and any special instructions. I make sure to keep their environment clean, safe, and familiar. I also give them lots of love, attention, and affection, always respecting their personality—whether they’re shy and quiet or playful and energetic. I’ll regularly update you with photos and messages, so you know your pet is in great hands while you're away.

About: I have been caring for animals as long as I can remember. My mother was a Kennel Club breeder when I was little so I learned to care for pups from a young age. Today, I have two dogs and a cat of my own, and I frequently pet sit for my friends and family. Because of this, I truly understand the trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else. My background gives me a deep understanding of animal health and comfort. I attended an RSPCA veterinary summer school, where I studied anatomy and observed surgeries, which helps me spot when a pet is unwell. I do return to my own home briefly to care for my own pets, or pop out for errands, but I will always prioritize your pet's schedule and never leave them alone longer than we agree on. My weekends are mostly open, though I have a few pre-planned camping trips and holidays over the summer, which will always be marked off on my Rover calendar well in advance. Safety and peace of mind are my top priorities when staying in your home. I ensure all doors and gates remain fully secure, keep dogs strictly leashed on walks, and follow your house rules exactly. I build trust by sending regular photo updates so you know your pets are happy and settled. My RSPCA veterinary summer school training helps me quickly spot if an animal is unwell or uncomfortable. Before your trip, I always note down your vet’s details and emergency contacts.

About: I have grown up with dogs. I curreny have 2 shihtzus who are loved and well cared for. I enjoy taking the dogs for walks. I work from home so I am available all day weekdays. I will be able to provide care on a Saturday and the occasional Sunday. My garden is secure , there is fencing all around. I have rwo stairgates to prevent my puppy dog going upstairs and down the stairs.

I live in a quiet and relaxed home with no restrictions, offering comfort and peace I work part-time within the NHS Wednesday to Friday, I can offer boarding from Friday evenings until Wednesday mornings. About: I run a loving and friendly, fully council-licenced home from home dog boarding facility from my Victorian home called Thirlmere House! As well as being licenced and fully insured, I hold a Level Three Qualification in Professional Day Care and Boarding, meaning I'm fully qualified in all aspects of caring for dogs in a boarding setting. We are rated 5 star by licensing authorities. I am fully home-based, so able to company and care for your dog seven days a week. I only leave the home for short periods when I pop to the shops. Otherwise, the dogs are with me on a country walk or a park and cafe pitstop! I offer a complete home from home dog boarding service. Dogs live with us at Thirlmere House as though they are our own dog. Owners must provide bedding and food for their dogs stay, but the rest is down to us! Walk time of up to forty-five minutes per day is included in boarding costs. Additional walkies can be purchased.

Mel went above and beyond in her duties, one day returning for a second visit, to check on Simba as he had been sick one day.
