From a young age, I’ve had a special place in my heart for dogs—my family often jokes that no stray ever escaped my notice! Wherever we went, I would gently coax stray dogs into our car to take them to the vet and give them a safe, loving home. This lifelong passion for helping dogs is at the core of the care I provide today. :) I work flexibly from home, so I can provide walks and companionship as often as your dog needs throughout the day. My husband also works from home, ensuring your dog will never be left alone while in our care. I do school drop-offs and pick-ups on foot for our 1 child, and if your dog enjoys a stroll (about 15 minutes each way), I’d love to bring them along for some extra exercise and fresh air. If you’d prefer your dog to stay at home during these times, that’s no problem—my husband and I coordinate so one of us is always at home with your pet. I’m happy to follow your dog’s usual schedule and routines, including feeding times, quantities, medication, walk times, and any special instructions you have. Please feel free to let me know exactly what works best for your dog—I’m here to make sure they feel comfortable and cared for! I have a spacious, fenced back garden where your dog can safely run, play, or simply relax. Inside, there’s plenty of room for them to feel comfortable and at home. For your dog’s safety and comfort, I exclusively use leads, harnesses, beds, crates, and other equipment you provide—this way, your dog enjoys the familiarity of their own gear and routine. I ask that owners supply everything their pet needs for their stay, including food, medication, and any special items, so I can offer the most personalized care possible. I always follow each dog’s unique routine, from feeding schedules to special care instructions, and I’m happy to send regular updates and photos so you can feel at ease while you’re away. Our home is filled with love for dogs—both adults and our gentle, dog-loving 9-year-old are devoted to making every guest feel welcome. About: I’ve grown up around both cats and dogs and have owned a cat for the past 9 years. Over the last 10 years, I’ve regularly looked after pets for family, friends, neighbours and colleagues, including daily visits, feeding, playtime, overnight stays and keeping pets company while owners are away. I’ve cared for puppies, senior dogs and cats with different personalities and routines, including more nervous or independent pets. I always aim to provide calm, reliable and attentive care, and I’m happy to send regular photo updates for peace of mind while you’re away. I work in Birmingham during the week, so I’m available for early morning visits before work and longer visits after work in the evenings, usually up to around an hour. On weekends, I’m much more flexible and can do visits at any time, longer stays, or overnight care if needed. I’m very active, so I’m more than happy to take dogs on long walks, play with pets, keep them company, or just make sure they’re fed and comfortable while you’re away. I’ll be caring for pets in their own homes, as I feel this is the most comfortable and familiar environment for them. I also have my own cat, Kymba, so I wouldn’t want to bring other animals into the house and make her feel unsettled. I always try to stick closely to your pet’s normal routine and make sure they feel safe, relaxed, and well cared for while you’re away. I’m happy to send regular photo updates too for peace of mind.

About: Hi, I'm Soph and I absolutely adore animals! Having grown up surrounded by them my entire life, I am extremely experienced, qualified and confident in looking after them. As an empath, I care deeply about their welfare and I have a fur-baby of my own, a four year old tuxedo cat named Kiara who means the absolute world to me. Aside from pet sitting a variety of different breeds over the years, I have had 4 dogs of my own alongside my aforementioned cat, all of which have been rescue dogs of all ages and mixed breeds. I also have experience taking care of rabbits and Guinea pigs. I understand how important it is to recognise and attend to each animal’s individual personality traits and I have first hand experience and knowledge when it comes to taking care of all sorts, so rest assured, your fur babies will be in good hands! It would be a pleasure to help out with any pet owners who need a hand, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any queries. I always ensure that I keep my Rover calendar up to date so you can rest assured you will know in advance when I am available! I operate on a first come, first served basis so feel free to request even months in advance if you need to. I live in Stourbridge with close access to several nearby parks and routes along the canal with close access to larger stretches of grassy areas, woods and parks. I am more than happy to come to you and pet-sit at yours so your animal/s are in the environment they know and feel safe in.

About: My experience with fostering pets started several years ago, when my friend found a 1-month-old kitten on the street and rescued it, but was unable to keep it in her home, so she asked me to foster until we find him a permanent home. I named the little guy Simba (original, I know!) and took care of him for 3 months before finding him a permanent, loving home. Since then, I have been housesitting dogs, cats, and even rabbits. I am studying remotely at Open University, so I have plenty of time to play with your pets, cuddle them and take them for walks. I care for pets in their own home by following their usual routines to keep them happy, comfortable, and stress-free. I start by learning all about their needs—feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medication (if needed), and any special instructions. I make sure to keep their environment clean, safe, and familiar. I also give them lots of love, attention, and affection, always respecting their personality—whether they’re shy and quiet or playful and energetic. I’ll regularly update you with photos and messages, so you know your pet is in great hands while you're away.

About: Taking care of our family dogs, cats and small animals for 12 years! We love all animals and you can rely on the fact they will be in a very safe and loving environment. We both work from home 9-5 and do a 2 hour walk after work, so pet care will fit into our routine perfectly. Your pet will never be alone as we will be with them 24/7. We have a secure and looked after garden, which dogs will have full run of this all day. Our downstairs is also open plan, so they can sit with us. We also drive so would be able to visit peoples homes to look after pets!

“Melanie looked after our two cats whilst we were away on holiday and she did an incredible job. I received daily updates via the Rover report cards as well as photos each day. This was so reassuring and lovely to see. I completely trusted Mel and her ability to care for the boys whilst we were away. Mel also gave Simba daily medication and at the end of the week I received a photo of the daily medication log which confirmed he had received his tablet at what time each day. Mel went above and beyond in her duties, one day returning for a second visit, to check on Simba as he had been sick one day. About: I have grown up with dogs. I curreny have 2 shihtzus who are loved and well cared for. I enjoy taking the dogs for walks. I work from home so I am available all day weekdays. I will be able to provide care on a Saturday and the occasional Sunday. My garden is secure , there is fencing all around. I have rwo stairgates to prevent my puppy dog going upstairs and down the stairs.
