About: Hello! I’m Emma, I have a rescue dog called Margo! She came all the way from Romania. She now understands the word ‘squirrel and walkies’. I had two Great Dane’s growing up, toy poodle and a collie dog. I also had two guniea pigs, hamsters, rats, fish. I have also got an Animal Management diploma from college. I work full time from Monday to Friday. I can either walk your dog before and or after work. Weekends I can do mornings and evening. Pet sitting as well and drop ins for meal times. I can care for your pets at your home as your pets would be in their own home. Or if it’s for one or two nights I could have your pet with me at mine.
“Really happy with Helen's service, she dropped in for my dog for me and made sure he went outside and also ate his dinner. She sent me photos to show he was happy and her communication was great. He seemed very comfortable around her and i will absolutely be using her in future! :D”

About: I have grown up with dogs of all sizes, from energetic Dachshunds to gentle Golden Retrievers. We have a deep understanding of different breed temperaments and needs. Recently, we raised and trained our own dog, Olive, from a puppy. We’ve invested significant time into her socialisation and positive reinforcement training, ensuring she is well-behaved and 'spoilt rotten' with care. We treat every guest dog with that same level of dedication and love. Please message before booking as I may have more availability then stated on rover :) I work full time, and my partner has a hybrid work schedule. To ensure your dog receives full attention, we only host pets on the days my partner works from home or I am fully available. We provide a structured routine including two long walks per day, plenty of backyard playtime, and daily mental enrichment activities like lick mats or puzzle toys to keep them happy and engaged. Our home is a fully dog-friendly environment designed with safety as a top priority. We have a large, securely fenced garden where guest dogs can play safely under supervision. Inside, the house is kept secure and free of hazards. Since we already have two friendly dogs, we are experienced in maintaining a calm, social, and supervised space, ensuring all pets feel comfortable, secure, and right at home during their stay.

“Lydia is fantastic with our puppy! She’s made such an impression on us and it’s only week two!! We’re so grateful for all of her help and with training our new puppy too. I would highly recommend Lydia to everyone.”

“Really great to have Alina look after Victoria and Sponge (cats!), she kept them well fed, watered and played with, kept the litter clean and was really great at communicating with me before, during with updates and after. I highly recommend Alina”

About: Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember — at one point my family had five at once, from energetic Border Collies to sweet Cocker Spaniels. Growing up in a house full of wagging tails taught me patience, confidence, and a genuine love for caring for dogs of all shapes and personalities. Today, I share my home with our family Sproodle, who keeps me smiling and on my toes. After 20 years working in civil engineering, I made the decision to follow my heart and become a full‑time dog walker and pet carer. It’s the best move I’ve ever made. I bring reliability, calm energy, and a true passion for making every dog feel safe, happy, and understood. Whether your pup loves long adventures, gentle strolls, or just some company and affection, I’m here to make sure they’re treated like one of my own. I’d love to meet your dog and become someone they’re excited to see. Pet sitting fits naturally into my routine. Because I’m out walking dogs every day, your dog will join me on one or two of my regular walks, getting plenty of exercise, stimulation and social time. When we’re home, they won’t be left alone — my wife works from home, so your dog will always have company from her and our friendly Sproodle between walks. Your dog will be welcomed into a relaxed, family‑oriented home with plenty of space to settle in and feel comfortable. We have a secure, fully fenced garden for safe outdoor time, and inside the house there’s room for both peaceful naps and full‑on zoomies. We share our home with our gentle 5‑year‑old Sproodle, my wife, and our two children (12 and 9), all of whom are used to being around dogs and love having four‑legged visitors. We aim to make your dog feel like part of the family from the moment they arrive. At night, most dogs choose to sleep in our bedroom or at the foot of our bed—whatever helps them feel most at ease. If you prefer your dog to be crated, we’re more than happy to accommodate that too. Above all, we want your dog to feel at home while they’re missing you. They’ll have company, comfort, and a calm environment where they can relax, play, and enjoy their stay.
About: FULLY INSURED TO WALK BSL DOGS SUCH AS PITBULLS AND XL BULLIES. I’ve owned, cared for, and walked dogs for my entire life. I was a volunteer for 3 years, and am currently employed at a local Staffie rescue centre (5 years of professional animal welfare and care). I’ve cared for everything from Jack Russells to XXL Bullies. Super friendly, or highly dog reactive - all fine by me. I like to think that I have a pretty good understanding of dogs, and it’s not often that a dog doesn’t gel with me. I am very experienced in larger / stronger breeds. I currently work in the Staffie rescue centre around 24 hours a week, so I would be fitting visits in before or after work unless it is my day off. I am very flexible so please don’t hesitate to approach me with your requirements. I aspire to eventually run my own dog walking & sitting business full time. I am happy to visit your dog several times a day if needed (work allowing), and I’m happy to be observed on your home CCTV for your piece of mind. I can send you updates via email or text message should you require this.
About: I grew up with dogs from a young age and have always thought of them as equal members of the family. I love to be outside and enjoy both short strolls around the local parks and longer hikes along the canal and in the forest. I am very interested in understanding how dogs think and why they act in certain ways. I actively watch training sessions and online discussions about dogs which has enabled me to learn about why dogs might behave in different ways, often depending on their breed. I would be honoured to look after your dog and would ensure that they are happy, comfortable, safe, cared for, and very much loved. I look forward to meeting you and your dog. I work full time during term time but I am usually available from 5pm on most weekdays. I am also available all day on some weekends. When I am looking after dogs, I am completely free to spend time with the dog, relaxing or playing, and would take dogs for walks or toilet breaks regularly. I live in a house with no animals and I have a secure garden that can be used for toilet breaks and playing. I live very close to parks, fields, and forests that are suitable for dog walks. I am trustworthy with following instructions for feeding or with other routines requested by the dog’s owner.

About: Hello! If you're searching for a pet sitter who is dedicated to providing exceptional care and affection to your furry family members, look no further! I offer flexible and customizable pet sitting and dog walking services to meet the needs of both you and your pets. Please get in touch. I am an American living in England for 21 years. In the states I was a key holder in a pet shop and from there I met a local Veterinarian. I started as a part-time Receptionist at the Veterinary hospital and worked my way to Veterinary Assistant. The local animal shelter brought all strays and wildfire that needed medical attention to the hospital. I rehabilitated a day old raccoon until he was 3 years old until health problems took him. I rescued a 10 year old Romanian pooch named Leo who had the start of a neurological disorder. I adopted him and told him I would give him a good life the remainder of his life. He gave me a lot of love for 4 years and I miss him greatly. He used a backleg wheelchair for a year but it progressed to his front legs and he was not able to stand on his own so I got him a pushchair. I had to understand when he wanted the toilet or water. I hand fed him raw food and had to carry him everywhere. I also have 3 cats, that are strictly indoors. Kuroo and Ray are black domestic shorthairs and Tiddles is an Elf Sphynx. She was rescued from further breeding. I feed a completely raw diet and I can guide anyone who wants to make that transition. I want what is best practice for mine and your pets. I look forward to meeting y'all!!¡ It is my new occupation and currently taking new clients. Very flexible to suit all of yours and your animal needs. I drive and enjoy different places to explore. Trusted key holder for numerous neighbours. My patience and a relaxed demeanor are great for me to build trust and long lasting relationships with your animals. I have a large fully enclosed garden with 6 foot fencing.

I am so happy to find Ruta. I won’t go to anyone else from now on. She is a perfect cat sitter for us and our fur babies absolutely adore her. At the initial meet & greet, my 2 cats instantly liked her and trusted her. She was so gentle with them, understands their needs and space. Both must have sensed that; They went to her straight away on her arrival. They looked so relaxed and happy about having her around. She understood and respected my needs as well. I have my particular way of litter cleaning but she willingly and quickly learned it without making me feel I am asking her too much. She also proactively asked questions about litter disposals, cat flap rules, and other house rules. So I was able to go on holiday with peace of mind. While I was away, she sent me prompt and detailed updates daily with photos and videos, within one hour after she finished the visit. Updates include task completion (e.g. eye drop application, litter cleaning etc), health updates, their behaviour and interaction with her. Those information put my mind at ease. When I came back, I was reunited with very chilled out cats and a clean and tidy home. I would highly recommend Ruta.

Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm.
