“First ever overnight stay for our 3 year old cocker spaniel and its a bit nerve racking for us to leave our fur baby with a stranger but its safe to say she loved her time there. Had lots of pictures and videos during her stay which was great to reassure us and will definitely be coming back for any future stayovers. Can't recommend Shannon enough and will put her name forward to any of our friends who need the service. Thank you so much Rosie loved her time”

I think my dog actually missed her when i came home! I would have no hesitation in reccommending her, and will definitely have her to look after my dog again.”

About: I’ve been taking care of pets since I was 7 years old. Pets are members of family with feelings and they just need love and attention. 15% off for first booking with me. https://www.rover.com/sit/madalt75648 I took a holiday from my managerial position and I am currently studying so I am available most of the day between late mornings and late afternoons. At the moment I am looking at buying my own house where I can take care of your pets. I will probably buy loads of toys and create a nice space for them in my backyard. Fingers crossed Xxx
“Our dog Bailey loved her time with Lesley! We felt very safe in the knowledge that Bailey was in good hands and we had regular pupdates for good measure. Lesley was very thorough in the lead up to the stay which was great to see as this meant we knew she was going to receive the best care. We could see that our pup had a great time as when we picked her up she was going back over for cuddles from Lesley. Always a good sign. I would not hesitate in letting Bailey stay with Leslie again.”

“Kylee was brilliant, taking our anxious Dog into her home at short notice after we were let down by kennels. It was the best thing that could have happened for us! Our dog was looked after and loved whilst we were on holiday. The peace of mind, knowing he was in such good hands was priceless. We wouldn't hesitate to book in again.”

“It has been Winnies first stay with Kerry and first time away from her mommy..... The communication, daily photos, and videos I received have been fantastic, reassuring and comforting to read and view... I could see that Winnie was settled, happy and having a ball playing with Kerrys dogs Georgia and Lily....not to mention Molly another little friend she has made.. I collected her this morning, she was obviously happy to see me...kerry chatted about Winnies stay, and what fun they all had together. I am so happy to have found Kerry.....it has been a home to home 5 ***** stay for Winnie and a worry free holiday for Mommy, I could not have asked for more.... See you soon Kerry...we will definitely be returning. Helen and Winnie x”

“I booked Eishpreet to look after my dog Polo. Before the booking Eishpreet had been in touch to go through all of my requirements and to better understand Polo. She then also touched base closer to the booking which gave me loads of reassurance. When dropping Polo Eishpreet went through any last min information and invited me in to see her lovely home and show me the lovely space which was perfect for Polo. Throughout his stay she kept in touch a reasonable amount and responded quickly if I did have any questions. Overall she was lovely and my Polo seemed so happy, he came back a happy boy and I feel he was looked after every well. I’m really pleased with Eishpreet and I would absolutely book her again. Thank you for looking after him! You are a star 🌟”

About: I see a dog as a friend with individual needs to be met and with feelings. I have got a certificate in Dog Sitting and Dog Walking. I have had a German Shepherd, a Greyhound and I have a lovely 1 year old Staffie now. She is my baby. I can pick collect your dog and make sure it is fed and looked after well. I am a retired nurse and I find dogs more genuine than most human beings. I am a retired nurse and I have got plenty of time on my hands. I am free everyday and very flexible on a daily basis. I have a fenced backyard and a very friendly staffy puppy which loves attention. My 2 kids and partner are mad about dogs. Got plenty of toys for the dog to play with and treats too.
“Hannah is a great sitter. Putting our anxious minds at rest with her total commitment and attention to detail. Bella was made very welcome and part of her family for the week. I would highly recommend and most definately I will be using again.”

“Winston stayed with Alanah for the weekend. He was well looked after and happy, I know he had a good weekend as he took himself off to bed when we got home and I had to wake him up the next morning.”

“Katy was very friendly and helpful. She made a fuss over Albi and was keen to know if there was anything else she could do to make his stay more comfortable. Albi had a lovely day with her and we enjoyed receiving photographs of him on his walk and in her home.”

“A family friend usually dog sits for our dog Walter, so when, unfortunately, plans changed, we were stuck. I came across Rob on the Rover website and we apprehensively booked Walter in for a weeks stay. I can now say that there was no need for apprehension as both Rob and his wife Sarah treated Walter brilliantly and we feel as though he has actually had a holiday of his own. When we choose to go away again I know Walter will happily pack his bags ready for his own, next vacation, with them.”

“Louise and Dee are a lovely couple of genuine 'dog people' with one dog of their own who is well behaved and sociable. They had our Weimaraner, Diesel, for a week and they updated me daily with photos. Diesel said he had the best dog holiday ever and made a new friends, had tons of walks in various woods and enjoyed vocalising how happy he was on the car journeys. Diesel would definitely recommend and would be happy to stay there again. 10 paw rating.”

Cat caregivers near you - Dudley

About: I’ve grown up around cats my whole life and have always loved caring for animals. I have my own cat, Kymba, who is 10 years old and honestly my best friend, so I understand how important it is to find someone patient, reliable and caring to look after your pet while you’re away. Over the years, I’ve looked after cats and dogs for family, friends, neighbours and colleagues, including daily visits, feeding, playtime, overnight stays and keeping pets company while owners are away. I’m comfortable caring for pets with different personalities and routines, including shy or more independent cats, puppies and senior dogs. Kymba was extremely shy when we first got her, so it took a lot of patience and time to earn her trust. Even now, affection is always on her own terms, which has taught me how important it is to make animals feel safe and comfortable in their own environment. I always aim to provide calm, attentive and reliable care, and I’m happy to send regular photo updates for peace of mind while you’re away.

About: My experience with fostering pets started several years ago, when my friend found a 1-month-old kitten on the street and rescued it, but was unable to keep it in her home, so she asked me to foster until we find him a permanent home. I named the little guy Simba (original, I know!) and took care of him for 3 months before finding him a permanent, loving home. Since then, I have been housesitting dogs, cats, and even rabbits.

“Sophie was quick to respond and was very accommodating, looking after two cats and two gekkoes as well as house sitting. She sent through regular updates with pictures and videos and Ginger seemed to be very happy. She left the house clean and tidy. Would recommend & will definitely rebook.”

“Maya was an excellent sitter; it was our first time leaving our cat and she was very reassuring and quick to answer messages. She was reliable and clearly took her job seriously, as well as understanding cats. We will definitely book her again, thanks Maya! ”

“Would really recommend Amanda to anyone on Rover looking for a kind, caring and friendly pet sitter! Amanda kept me updated throughout her visit and took some really cute pictures of my two little kitties! Thank you Amanda for being brilliant :)”

“Rachel was nothing short of amazing! She came and did a pre visit for feeding our cats and I instantly felt at easy. Rachel’s communication was fantastic sending us photos on each visit and making sure our cat feeders worked on time and even gave them some cuddles. This gave us the peace of mind and reassurance we needed when away on holiday. I would 100% recommend and use Rachel again in the future!”

“Booked Wendy again for another 2 cat sits and as usual she was great. Good communication and even though my anxious cat was reluctant to come out, she made sure she was fed and cared for on each visit, keeping me updated too :) ”

“It takes a lot of trust to place your loved one and home into the care of someone. Rebecca and Sam were incredibly kind, caring and gentle with Millie, and the updates they provided put our minds at ease when we were far away from her. Not having to worry about her was such a gift.”

“Sally looked after our cat Hutch with lots of care and compassion. She kept us well updated and sent lots of lovely photos. It was lovely when we returned home, she had kept it beautifully clean and tidy and even left us a bottle of milk and some chocolates. A lovely kind lady with a very warm heart.”

“Melanie looked after our two cats whilst we were away on holiday and she did an incredible job. I received daily updates via the Rover report cards as well as photos each day. This was so reassuring and lovely to see. I completely trusted Mel and her ability to care for the boys whilst we were away. Mel also gave Simba daily medication and at the end of the week I received a photo of the daily medication log which confirmed he had received his tablet at what time each day. Mel went above and beyond in her duties, one day returning for a second visit, to check on Simba as he had been sick one day. I would absolutely recommend Mel if you are looking for a conscientious and caring lady to care for your pets. Thanks again Mel! We will defo be in touch next time we are away xx”

“Alanah visited twice per day as requested and sent me some lovely pictures of the cats. Sadly my holiday was cut short so I can’t leave as full a review as if she had been coming for the whole time.”

“Alicia was amazing, going above and beyond what we’d asked when she was looking after our cat, as well as checking on food, water and litter. Our cat is often sad when lonely so she loved playing with Alicia, who gave her her full attention in each visit.”

These have ranged from very young to senior cats and dogs that need regular oral medication, as well as larger dog breeds. As I have two young male ragdoll cats called Arthur and Merlin, and understand that the ideal for your pet's routine and happiness is to live in their own home, I'm available for walks and house sitting in your own house only, I hope this is okay. About: Hi, I am Hattie! I am a biomedical science student currently off for summer, looking to spend my free time doing what i love most - caring for dogs and cats. When i am not studying, i work at a local pub and tutor students for their GCSEs. Since tutoring has slowed down for the summer, i have plenty of availability to give your pets the dedicated time, exercise and affection they need and deserve. Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I own a 14 year old miniature poodle named Murphy, who is my pride and joy, and a musk turtle! I have been trusted to care for pets of neighbours, friends, family and even regulars from my local pub i work at! I also hold a clear, current DBS check from my work as a Tutor for extra peace of mind :) Caring for my senior dog, and my background in biomedical science, i am equipped to care for pets that require extra attention or medical accommodations such as: - Administering Medication: I am completely comfortable and experienced in administering insulin injections for diabetic dogs, oral medications such as Metacam and eye drops. - Specialised Diets: My little dog is high maintenance! I make him homemade high-protein meals to help his diabetes and am able to manage complex dietary requirements. - Senior Care and Energetic Dogs: I love gentle, slow paced walks for elderly dogs but i am also equally happy and love taking high-energy dogs on longer, stimulating walks. Whether your pet needs a high-energy walk, a leisurely stroll, or even just some company, i tailor my care to suit your needs and their needs. I can’t wait to meet your companions :) As a student off for the summer, my schedule is incredibly flexible. My tutoring has slowed down since it is nearing the end of the school year and my part time pub shifts are in the evenings. This means i am fully available during the day for walks and drop-in visits. I am ready to take care of your dogs whenever suits you! Safety and trust are my absolute priorities when caring for your pets on walks and in your own home. I hold a current, clear DBS from my work as a tutor. Having a 14-year old dog myself, i am highly vigilant and understand how to maintain a calm and secure environment. I am fully competent in managing complex routines, specialised diets, administering time-sensitive medications including insulin injections, oral medications and eye drops. Your dogs and your home would be looked after as if they were my own!
About: I’ve had dogs in my life since childhood and have extensive experience caring for different breeds and temperaments. Over the years my family has had Pinschers, Mini Poodles, Labradoodles, and Rottweilers, which has given me hands-on experience with both small and large dogs. Being around dogs my entire life has helped me understand their behaviors, needs, and personalities. I genuinely enjoy caring for them and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well looked after. My schedule is extremely flexible and I am self employed. I walk my dog for at least an hour a day in the beautiful woodlands and whilst on walks i do some training too. I have a valid CRB check that is live. I take pride in looking after your dogs and respect your privacy. Confidentiality is key part of my service.

About: I’ve taken care of pets ever since I can remember. Having been raised around dogs of all sizes, and my family’s love for having many cats at home, I have accumulated years of experience from home alone. This includes pets with special requirements, and those who just prefer more attention to others! I grew up spending most of my time at my uncles farm, spending a lot of time with his farm animals and sheep dogs. I have volunteered frequently at Stourbridge cat rescue over the years, and having 6 of my own at home, the care required came naturally to me. I currently study full-time at university, however my schedule is very flexible! I have filtered my availability to show for this, so any days you see free means I am able to accommodate to your pet full-time or whenever required! As someone with pets of my own and an understanding of how clumsy some pets can be, I can ensure that I will keep a permanent eye on your pet during sittings- and that all small objects are kept away and doors/ windows are checked frequently. Personally, my dog loves to sprint out the door whenever he hears the handle go, so I have mastered how to leave the house without any flight-risk. Any special requests shall be adhered to also.

About: Hi, my name is Daria and I live in Stourbridge with my partner, two children (11 and 12 years old) and our two-year-old cavachon, Stan. Our home is located only five minutes away from a park and numerous fields and our garden is fully fenced. I am available for dog sitting at any time of the day as our children walk to and from school. I can look after any small to medium sized dogs, either overnight or during the day and can also provide long walks. Furthermore, I have grown up with four different dogs (small, medium and big ones!) and have experience in dog sitting for family and friends. My children are very familiar with dogs behaviours and understand how to care for them; they are also very respectful and sensible around them. I always ensure that the dogs are walked, fed and played with and I'm dedicated to providing a safe and fun environment for any dogs that I look after. If you have any questions, I'm more than happy to tailor the service to what you need. My daily routine consists of getting up early and taking the dogs out to go potty, playing with them, and providing them with exercise. This is followed by feeding them breakfast and giving them treats and affection throughout the day. I take the dogs on multiple walks throughout the day so they can get the exercise they need. I also take time to groom the dogs and provide them with any medical care they may need. At night, I make sure the dogs have their dinner and then I spend time playing with them and giving them lots of love. On weekends, I usually take the dogs on longer walks or hikes. This is a great way for them to get out and explore the world around them. I also take the time to provide more rigorous exercise such as playing fetch, going for a run, or playing with training toys. This is a great way to keep them mentally and physically healthy. Overall, pet care is a big part of my daily and weekly routine. I take my responsibility as a pet owner seriously and make sure the dogs are always well taken care of. You can trust us to provide your dog with the best possible care. I follow your instructions closely and make sure to give your dog the right amount of food and attention. I provide plenty of cuddles and playtime - all according to your preferences. I keep your dog safe indoors when the weather is bad, and take them out for regular potty breaks and muddy walks if you'd like. I also make sure to take your dog to the vet whenever necessary. I understand that each dog is different and may take time to get used to new people, so I will discuss this with you before booking and arrange a meet and greet to ensure that everyone is comfortable. I prioritize your pup's safety and wellbeing above all else.

“Winston stayed with Alanah for the weekend. He was well looked after and happy, I know he had a good weekend as he took himself off to bed when we got home and I had to wake him up the next morning.”

About: I would love to offer my help with your dog care requirements; dog boarding at my home, dog sitting at your home, dog walking, day care, evening care. I am flexible and happy to accommodate the needs of yourself and your beloved furries. I have been dog-bonkers since I can ever remember (envious at a young age of cousins who had dogs and I loved visiting …. as often as I could!!). It took until I was 10 years old to wear mom and dad down with my nagging to give up and allow me to have my own … since then I don’t think I’ve been without at least one, whether it be my own or taking care of someone else’s best fur-pal. Sadly, last year I lost my furry soul mate, Clint who was an English Bull Terrier, aged 13. I’m not quite ready to commit to being a ‘full time fur-mom’ again just yet, however I massively miss the companionship, love and fun that spending time with a doggo brings; I really enjoy spending time with my friends and family’s dogs. I love welcoming fur-babies into my home and ensuring that they instantly feel at home, part of the family and furniture and secure and loved. I am experienced in caring for dogs of all ages; pups to seniors, temperaments; bonkers pups, excitable teenagers to chilled out, sleepy seniors. I believe routine is important for all dogs and I will ensure that their routine remains the same (to your requirement) during their stay at my home. Your dog will be walked at least twice daily (there are several local parks) and will have access at all times to the garden, which is fully enclosed. Your fur-baby will be loved and given cuddles, attention and mental stimulation as if they were my own during their stay at my home. I am experienced and confident in administering medication of all kinds, as necessary and I am currently in the final stages of completing a Canine First Aid course. I also have a current and up to date DBS certificate. I am excited at the prospect of meeting yourselves and your fur-babies, and am very much looking forward to you putting your trust in me to care for them just as you do, while you are away - I promise to keep you updated with photo’s an pup-dates. I can guarantee you the peace of mind that your furry family member will experience a home from home stay and will have the best care, attention, love and enrichment that they are used to at home. I am flexible to your requirements and those of your dog ie, walk times, food times, bed times, (familiar routine); happy to accommodate your schedule/requirements. I truly understand how much of an important part of our lives, the happiness and welfare of our pets means to us. My day always starts early (a habit that I can’t shake despite my bestie no longer being here). ‘Good Morning’ cuddles and wake up time is first on the agenda, followed by breakfast, (medication if appropriate etc). Further meals/medication throughout the day I will give according to your instructions. Next, heading out to the park to read the ‘doggie newspapers’ (scent trails 🤣)/ leisurely stroll/fetch ball (whichever exercise activity suits your pooch. Exercise periods and activities will always follow your preferred guidance, as routine is the key to ensuring that your fur-baby’s experience of spending time in my home is positive and a place that they can’t wait to visit again. I will be happy to continue to facilitate training methods, plans and commands that you currently use. I have a number of lovely parks in my locality so our walks later in the day will follow a different route (… and different ‘doggie newspapers’ to read 🤣). Between these times there will be lots of home playtime, (indoors and outdoors), fetch, tug of war, enrichment games, etc (for those who like that), but equally there is plenty of quiet space for snoozing and recharging of batteries (ready to go again in some cases). Alongside this I can guarantee that there will ALWAYS be time for love, cuddles, kisses and belly rubs – 24/7!!! ❤️🐶 If your instructions allow, I am always happy to finish the day snuggled up on the sofa, happy to provide belly rubs. (Appreciate this is not everyones’ cup of tea and of course I would always comply with your wishes). Alternatively, there will be lots of dog-bed belly rubs and fuss instead. If your fur-baby is used to sleeping in a crate, I have the room here to accommodate this. Equally, I am happy to share my home and do not have a problem with them being on the sofa’s, furniture, etc, and having free access throughout. I am happy to be guided by you and will accommodate your fur-baby’s routine and your wishes Safety, security and comfort are my top priorities and something I have always taken very seriously as a dog owner. I have a calm, clean, clutter-free home which is 100% dog friendly and free from hazards (being the mom to an English Bull Terrier for 13 years definitely taught me that !!! 😱🤦🏼♀️🤣). I have a completely enclosed garden; grass and patio areas, sunshine and shade. I have a current and up to date DBS Certificate which I will happily provide a copy of I am in the final stages of a Level 3 Canine First Aid qualification. I have recently enrolled on a Canine Massage Therapy Diploma course.
“Bonnie had a fantastic time and you was fantastic accommodating her because of how nervous she can be, she especially enjoyed playing with your doggo’s. We’ll deffo be recommending to friends and family. Hope to see you again soon.”

“We could not be happier with leaving our Lab Buddy with James. He was very welcoming and I could see straight away Buddy would be in great hands. James sent updates and pictures everyday. We couldn't be happier with this stay and look forward to having Buddy stay with James again, in the Yellowstone of Stourbridge!”

“We booked Mylo in for a week with Bryony whilst we were away on holiday. He would usually stay with my parents however they were away with us and so was very apprehensive about leaving him with anyone else! We booked him for a 1 night stay so he could familiarise himself before staying the full week. He clearly had an amazing time on both occasions, and Bryony kept us updated with photos which provided great peace of mind. Would highly recommend Bryony’s service - with a beautiful location, great family and dog-friendly setup 🐶”
