“Wow! Vasiliki and family took amazing care of our little sausage dog Thor whilst we were on our honeymoon! This is the first time we have left Thor for an extended period of time other than family and Vasiliki went above and beyond with the love and care she provided to Thor! The daily updates and photos accompanied with the like for like routine given to Thor allowed us to stay connected and not have to worry about his care whilst we were away making our honeymoon even more special! I can’t recommend Vasiliki and her wonderful family enough and we will definitely be using the services again in the future! Thank you so much!!”

“Kylee was brilliant, taking our anxious Dog into her home at short notice after we were let down by kennels. It was the best thing that could have happened for us! Our dog was looked after and loved whilst we were on holiday. The peace of mind, knowing he was in such good hands was priceless. We wouldn't hesitate to book in again.”

“First ever overnight stay for our 3 year old cocker spaniel and its a bit nerve racking for us to leave our fur baby with a stranger but its safe to say she loved her time there. Had lots of pictures and videos during her stay which was great to reassure us and will definitely be coming back for any future stayovers. Can't recommend Shannon enough and will put her name forward to any of our friends who need the service. Thank you so much Rosie loved her time”

“Katy was very friendly and helpful. She made a fuss over Albi and was keen to know if there was anything else she could do to make his stay more comfortable. Albi had a lovely day with her and we enjoyed receiving photographs of him on his walk and in her home.”

“Amelia and her family has welcome and cared for Tofu so brilliantly! Great communication, helpful and kind throughout the whole experience and we truly appreciate how wholesome the experience was for Tofu especially getting to play with Scout, a pup of similar age was a great plus point, we are grateful and would certainly love to board Tofu with them again if possible! Thanks for everything Amelia and fam!”

“I booked Eishpreet to look after my dog Polo. Before the booking Eishpreet had been in touch to go through all of my requirements and to better understand Polo. She then also touched base closer to the booking which gave me loads of reassurance. When dropping Polo Eishpreet went through any last min information and invited me in to see her lovely home and show me the lovely space which was perfect for Polo. Throughout his stay she kept in touch a reasonable amount and responded quickly if I did have any questions. Overall she was lovely and my Polo seemed so happy, he came back a happy boy and I feel he was looked after every well. I’m really pleased with Eishpreet and I would absolutely book her again. Thank you for looking after him! You are a star 🌟”

“Kerry is great, she completely put us at ease about leaving our high energy 8 month old puppy with her. She’s so lovely and knows what she’s doing with dogs. Would recommend Kerry and certainly leave our pup with her again, 10/10.”

“Our dog Bailey loved her time with Lesley! We felt very safe in the knowledge that Bailey was in good hands and we had regular pupdates for good measure. Lesley was very thorough in the lead up to the stay which was great to see as this meant we knew she was going to receive the best care. We could see that our pup had a great time as when we picked her up she was going back over for cuddles from Lesley. Always a good sign. I would not hesitate in letting Bailey stay with Leslie again.”

“Hannah is a great sitter. Putting our anxious minds at rest with her total commitment and attention to detail. Bella was made very welcome and part of her family for the week. I would highly recommend and most definately I will be using again.”

“Over the moon we found Keri and Simon! Our dogs have had the best week spent with their family. Lots of walks, cuddles and photo updates. Honestly couldn’t have asked for nicer people to look after our dogs. Would highly recommend! Thank you both x”

“Louise and Dee are a lovely couple of genuine 'dog people' with one dog of their own who is well behaved and sociable. They had our Weimaraner, Diesel, for a week and they updated me daily with photos. Diesel said he had the best dog holiday ever and made a new friends, had tons of walks in various woods and enjoyed vocalising how happy he was on the car journeys. Diesel would definitely recommend and would be happy to stay there again. 10 paw rating.”

Could not have asked for a better service! Had plenty of pictures to put my mind at ease, communication was fantastic and he came back absolutely shattered after some great walks with Cooper! 😂 This was the first time I’d left Herbie with anyone other than friends or family, so naturally was a little nervous, but there was no need; he received such great care and I could tell he was even a bit peeved to be home 😂 Would recommend Kate and Fran to anyone who’s interested and I hope they’ll have my boy again if needed, so so happy!

My young dog Peggy had an amazing time with Vasiliki. Id never left her before with anyone so felt anxious wondering if she would settle . She settled very quickly, went out for lots of lovely walks , it was like home from home . I had regular updates and fantastic pictures . I was so happy that she was cared for so well .

I feel very lucky to have found Isabella. Not only did my dog adore her, she left my home beautifully clean and tidy. She was very thoughtful, trustworthy and kind. I think my dog actually missed her when i came home! I would have no hesitation in reccommending her, and will definitely have her to look after my dog again.

Louis had a great 1 week stay with Bryony and was well looked after while we were away. Bryony was kind enough to send us photos at regular intervals so that we could see how he was doing and that he had settled in okay. If we need a dog boarder again, we will definitely be in touch with Bryony to see if she can help.

As of June 2026, there are 1,311 sitters on Rover offering Dog Boarding across Dudley. Enter your postcode to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Finding the right boarding environment is all about peace of mind. Boarding with a sitter on Rover helps you find a cosy experience in a real home for your dog.
When searching for a host, look for a sitter who:
- Offers a secure, home-like environment that is clean and welcoming
- Adheres to your dog’s established routine for meals, activity, and rest
- Possesses relevant experience with your pet’s specific breed, size, and personality
- Maintains clear communication regarding the frequency of photo and message updates
Don’t skip the Meet & Greet! The free Meet & Greet is the best way to see where your dog will sleep and who they might play with.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in West Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
