“Absolutely fantastic service. We were so nervous to leave our puppy for the first time but Vasiliki and her family made us feel so at ease. The love and passion they have for animals just shines through as soon as you speak to them. The communication throughout the whole of our dogs stay was constant, we knew all the details of his day, along with lots of pictures, which we loved. This is the second time we have left our dog with Vasiliki and it definitely won't be the last. Highly recommend anybody to use her, you won't find anybody better.”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely Amazing Puppy Sitter! 🐾❤️ We honestly couldn’t recommend our puppy sitter highly enough! From the moment we went for our meet and greet with Patch and Daisy, we knew straight away that our pups were going to be in safe, caring hands. This was the first time we had ever left our puppies while going away on holiday, so naturally we were a little nervous. But we really didn’t need to be! From the moment we dropped them off, we were kept updated with lots of photos, videos and messages, which gave us so much reassurance and allowed us to enjoy our holiday knowing they were happy and being so well cared for. Patch and Daisy were treated as though they were part of the family, not just dogs being looked after. They had so much love, attention, cuddles and care, and it was lovely to see how settled and happy they were throughout their stay. Everything was so professional, friendly and reassuring, and it genuinely felt like a home-from-home for our two babies. ❤️ We came home to two very happy puppies, and it was obvious they had absolutely loved their stay. 🐶🐶 Thank you so much for looking after Patch and Daisy and giving them such a wonderful holiday of their own! We wouldn’t hesitate for a second to use you again. We’ve found someone we can completely trust with our babies, and that means everything. 🥰🐾 5 stars really don’t feel enough! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thanks again Kate, lewis & family and of course patch and Daisy 🐾”

“Kerry looked after my dog who was only 6 months old and he has had a great time she has looked after him great and sent me loads of videos and photos of his stay will definitely book again thanks”

“100 stars! Kimberley was a godsend and helped with our dog Coco at short notice. Coco was well cared for and I was sent messages and video/pics during his stay. As a dog owner its greatly reassuring that you can go away and our beloved family pet is loved and looked after so well. Thankyou so much Kimberley xx”

“Fabulous Family, An absolute Gem. We have never left our 5 year old Springer with anyone so to say we were reluctant is an understatement, but needs must. I contacted a few people on Rover but Hannah and her family stood out so I contacted her again. Hannah could not have been more helpful and understanding. She accommodated us with 2 visits prior to our booking and she’s just absolutely lovely. They welcomed our Pup into their home and treated her like their own. We had twice daily updates and lots of photos, we could have not asked for more. We are so grateful to Hannah and her family, and can’t recommend highly enough. Sally and Neil Grogan”

“Could not have asked for a better place for our dog. We have a Belgian malinious mix, large and energetic - and so was hesitant to how he would be whilst we were away… but Steven and the family gave our dog a great home for over 7 days whilst we were away. Keeping us up to date with walks, and pictures - and even bought a dog toy to keep our dog engaged. Would recommend.”

“Bonnie had a fantastic time and you was fantastic accommodating her because of how nervous she can be, she especially enjoyed playing with your doggo’s. We’ll deffo be recommending to friends and family. Hope to see you again soon.”

“Louise and Dee are a lovely couple of genuine 'dog people' with one dog of their own who is well behaved and sociable. They had our Weimaraner, Diesel, for a week and they updated me daily with photos. Diesel said he had the best dog holiday ever and made a new friends, had tons of walks in various woods and enjoyed vocalising how happy he was on the car journeys. Diesel would definitely recommend and would be happy to stay there again. 10 paw rating.”

“Lauren and her partner were the perfect sitters. Great communication that made me feel 100% reassured that Bill was getting looked after and loved while I was away. He came back calm and relaxed (and knackered from playing with their dog). I would book with them again”

Highly recommend as a dog sitter. I felt very confident and reassured that Ripley would be in safe hands with Vasaliki from the first meeting with her. Lots and lots of photos sent through showing Ripley playing with other dogs, out for walks and also settling down in her basket at night. Will definitely use again.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10/10 – Couldn’t recommend Kylee enough! Kylee looked after our two dogs, Monty and Poppy, for two nights while we were away for our wedding, and she was absolutely amazing! 🐾❤️ I was naturally a little nervous about leaving them, especially with everything else going on around the wedding, but Kylee completely put our minds at ease from the start. We were kept in the loop throughout with updates, which meant we could relax and enjoy our wedding knowing they were happy, safe and being so well looked after. It’s safe to say Monty and Poppy were well and truly spoilt 😂🥰 They were clearly so comfortable with Kylee and received so much love and attention. We honestly couldn’t have asked for anyone better to look after them. Thank you so much, Kylee, for taking such amazing care of our babies and giving us one less thing to worry about during such an important weekend! ❤️ 10/10, would 100% recommend Kylee to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring and brilliant with their pets! 🐶🐾💕

Excellent! Alanah was brilliant with our Cavapoo for a week while we were on holiday. He was well looked after and she was always sending us pictures while we were away to keep us updated of how our dog was doing. There was a minor issue at the end, but Alanah was on the ball and sorted it immediately without any issues which is only one of the reasons why this deserves such a good review. We would fully recommend her and would have no doubts using her again. Thanks again Alanah! 😊 Dale & Kelly

Could not have asked for a better service! Had plenty of pictures to put my mind at ease, communication was fantastic and he came back absolutely shattered after some great walks with Cooper! 😂 This was the first time I’d left Herbie with anyone other than friends or family, so naturally was a little nervous, but there was no need; he received such great care and I could tell he was even a bit peeved to be home 😂 Would recommend Kate and Fran to anyone who’s interested and I hope they’ll have my boy again if needed, so so happy!

First ever overnight stay for our 3 year old cocker spaniel and its a bit nerve racking for us to leave our fur baby with a stranger but its safe to say she loved her time there. Had lots of pictures and videos during her stay which was great to reassure us and will definitely be coming back for any future stayovers. Can't recommend Shannon enough and will put her name forward to any of our friends who need the service. Thank you so much Rosie loved her time

I feel very lucky to have found Isabella. Not only did my dog adore her, she left my home beautifully clean and tidy. She was very thoughtful, trustworthy and kind. I think my dog actually missed her when i came home! I would have no hesitation in reccommending her, and will definitely have her to look after my dog again.

Louis had a great 1 week stay with Bryony and was well looked after while we were away. Bryony was kind enough to send us photos at regular intervals so that we could see how he was doing and that he had settled in okay. If we need a dog boarder again, we will definitely be in touch with Bryony to see if she can help.

- Possesses relevant experience with your pet’s specific breed, size, and personality
- Maintains clear communication regarding the frequency of photo and message updates

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in West Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
