Absolutely fantastic service. We were so nervous to leave our puppy for the first time but Vasiliki and her family made us feel so at ease. The love and passion they have for animals just shines through as soon as you speak to them. The communication throughout the whole of our dogs stay was constant, we knew all the details of his day, along with lots of pictures, which we loved. This is the second time we have left our dog with Vasiliki and it definitely won't be the last. Highly recommend anybody to use her, you won't find anybody better.

Thank you so much for taking care of Finn again for us. He was so obviously very happy and comfortable with you and your family. This was Finn's second visit, he is booked in for two more and I am just checking our calendar for more holidays. Finn loves being with you.

Katy was very friendly and helpful. She made a fuss over Albi and was keen to know if there was anything else she could do to make his stay more comfortable. Albi had a lovely day with her and we enjoyed receiving photographs of him on his walk and in her home.

Kylee was brilliant, taking our anxious Dog into her home at short notice after we were let down by kennels. It was the best thing that could have happened for us! Our dog was looked after and loved whilst we were on holiday. The peace of mind, knowing he was in such good hands was priceless. We wouldn't hesitate to book in again.

About: I’ve been taking care of pets since I was 7 years old. Pets are members of family with feelings and they just need love and attention. 15% off for first booking with me. https://www.rover.com/sit/madalt75648 I took a holiday from my managerial position and I am currently studying so I am available most of the day between late mornings and late afternoons. At the moment I am looking at buying my own house where I can take care of your pets. I will probably buy loads of toys and create a nice space for them in my backyard. Fingers crossed Xxx

Kerry was great with Gizmo. He really enjoyed his stay and the play with Kerry’s two dogs too. He was comfortable with Kerry and that I could see from photos and videos shared regularly by Kerry. I will be using Kerry again and agreed to meet so Gizmo can build an even better bond with her for any future stays.

A family friend usually dog sits for our dog Walter, so when, unfortunately, plans changed, we were stuck. I came across Rob on the Rover website and we apprehensively booked Walter in for a weeks stay. I can now say that there was no need for apprehension as both Rob and his wife Sarah treated Walter brilliantly and we feel as though he has actually had a holiday of his own. When we choose to go away again I know Walter will happily pack his bags ready for his own, next vacation, with them.

I think my dog had a great time getting walked every day too he doesn't even get that with us. I would definitely book again.

We would definitely use Keri and her lovely family again. They took a real interest in what they could do for Honey and were proactive in making sure they were a good fit for her. They provided regular updates and kept her well entertained . They followed our instructions as requested and took appropriate steps with the weather . I think Honey had a better holiday than us.

Could not have asked for a better place for our dog. We have a Belgian malinious mix, large and energetic - and so was hesitant to how he would be whilst we were away… but Steven and the family gave our dog a great home for over 7 days whilst we were away. Keeping us up to date with walks, and pictures - and even bought a dog toy to keep our dog engaged. Would recommend.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs in the family home and have my own pooch now. I have all the time in the world for dogs, who couldn’t love them! I’ve been training my pup as a school therapy dog and he is the most friendly, calm, loving boy. I love everything from playing fetch, muddy walks, bath time and have even groomed my dog when needed. One of the family and your dogs will be treated the same with me ☺️ I only accept bookings for days I am not in work, so I am able to provide the best care for your dog(s). Walks, playtime, cuddles, whatever they may need, whenever they need it. I have a reasonably sized garden which is securely fenced. There is both grass and patio areas for your hound to run around, play and explore. They will have pretty much free roam of the house, and lots of toys to play with.

Could not have asked for a better service! Had plenty of pictures to put my mind at ease, communication was fantastic and he came back absolutely shattered after some great walks with Cooper! 😂 This was the first time I’d left Herbie with anyone other than friends or family, so naturally was a little nervous, but there was no need; he received such great care and I could tell he was even a bit peeved to be home 😂 Would recommend Kate and Fran to anyone who’s interested and I hope they’ll have my boy again if needed, so so happy!

FAQs for Dog Boarding - Dudley

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Dog Boarding in Dudley on Rover is £31.05 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Dog Boarding easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Dog Boarding. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 1,260 sitters on Rover offering Dog Boarding across Dudley. Enter your postcode to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Finding the right boarding environment is all about peace of mind. Boarding with a sitter on Rover helps you find a cosy experience in a real home for your dog.

When searching for a host, look for a sitter who:

  • Offers a secure, home-like environment that is clean and welcoming
  • Adheres to your dog’s established routine for meals, activity, and rest
  • Possesses relevant experience with your pet’s specific breed, size, and personality
  • Maintains clear communication regarding the frequency of photo and message updates

Don’t skip the Meet & Greet! The free Meet & Greet is the best way to see where your dog will sleep and who they might play with.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in West Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
