“Excellent stay for our Frank. We love how settled Frank is at Phillippa’s home, he’s treated like one of the family which puts us right at ease. Thank you so much 🩶”

“Milo had a wonderful time with Katarzyna and her family. Milo is probably the most energetic dog in the world and I'm sure he wore everyone out. We can't thank you enough for having him for us. He can't wait until his next stay.”

“Left our 3 border terriers with Nicky and her family. This was the second time that they have sat our dogs for a few days. I think when you go to pick them up and they don't want to come home it says it all. Very professional, caring and kept us well informed. Would 100% endorse.”

“Dominika did a fantastic job of looking after our springer-poodle Zoe for the weekend. She took great care to make sure she was settled and happy, she took her on lovely walks and she kept us in touch by sending some wondeeful photos of Zoe (who loved posing with Dominika's friendly golden retriever, Shogo). I ha e already re-booked.”

“Jack has a fantastic day with you guys! He’s come back happy and shattered. Great to be able to book him in at such short notice, much appreciated and you guys have been great. Photos during the day put our mind at rest, and he had a fab time!”

“I can’t recommend Chloe, Ash and their beautiful family enough - they’ve been fantastic with Teddy over the weekend. Teddy has loved it - I don’t think he wanted to come home!! Chloe was clear with her instructions, and made sure all the necessary paperwork was in place. She kept in regular communication with me, sent pictures and checked in with me to just double check some minor things - her attention to detail is spot on. She has a very spacious house and is ideal to accommodate/house any dogs 🐶🐕🐾 Whenever possible going forward I’ll recommend and use Chloe if needs be with Teddy ☺️♥️”

“Lauren was truly outstanding. She cared for my 1‑year‑old Maltese with genuine attention and warmth, treating him as if he were her own. From the moment I dropped him off, she made sure I felt completely at ease. Her communication was excellent throughout the entire dog‑sitting period — regular updates, photos/videos, and quick responses that kept me fully reassured. She paid close attention to his routine, his temperament, and his little quirks, making sure he stayed comfortable, happy, and well‑looked‑after. It was clear she understood how important it is for owners to feel confident when leaving their pets, and she went above and beyond to provide that peace of mind.I came back to a relaxed, content dog, which says everything about the level of care she provided. I would highly recommend Lauren to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and professional dog sitter. I’ll definitely be booking with her again.”

“Tammy was amazing from start to finish. She took excellent care of my dog and kept me updated regularly with messages and photos, which really put my mind at ease while I was away. It was clear that my dog was happy, comfortable, and receiving lots of love and attention. Tammy is friendly, reliable, and genuinely cares about the pets she looks after. I couldn't have asked for a better dog sitter and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring. Thank you again, Tammy – we will definitely be booking with you again!”

About: I've taken care of dogs since a young age when my family would dog sit for their friends. I regularly dog sit for one of my previous colleagues for up to 2 weeks at a time. Please Note: I generally do not accept bookings where cats are present at the property. Exemptions may apply but I must be informed before the booking is placed that cats will be present. This is due to allergies. Because I work remote, it means that I am able to be anywhere when I work which means that your pets will get the upmost attention that they deserve. I have a fenced area at the front of the property they can play on or a large park right next to me which is great for runs, walks and games. If needed, I can crate your dogs. My bed is fair game if they want to nap on it.
“Cristina was very reasonable with our request, so it also worked around her and her son's commitments. She was very quick to respond to messages and sent us lots of photos of our dog throughout his stay. We would use her again!”

“I can highly recommend Mark & Sue for the superb way in which they looked after Harley for 9 days while I enjoyed my holiday. Knowing he would be happy and well looked after made me feel happier too, it’s like home from home for him now. Will be booking again when I next need someone reliable and loving to look after him. Thank you, love from Harley & Sue xx”

“I could not be happier with how Maria and her family looked after our 8 month old dachshund Chester for 2 weeks. We received regular updates with pictures which were a joy to receive and helped keep my daughter's separation anxiety at bay. The family were out and about every single day with Chester, their dog Evie and other guests clearly providing enrichment for all. I without hesitation recomend most highly.”

“Annie had an amazing time with Diana. She went on 2 good walks and had great fun playing with their puppy, Roxy! I had regular updates and photos so I could see that Annie was happy and relaxed so I didn't need to worry. I would definitely use Diana again.”

“Christine looked after our little lady Lucy while we were away over the early May bank holiday. To say she got a holiday of her own doesn’t quite cover the fund she had. Lucy took to her really well and I got regular pupdates so I was safe in the knowledge that she was happy, exercised and having the best time ever!!! She’s already booked in again soon. Thank you Chris”

“Marcia kept me updated on Willow during her stay, sending pictures and videos. Willow seemed very comfortable and happy from the first meeting and I would definitely recommend Marcia.”

“Nicole took such great care of Milo our golden doodle, to the point I don’t think he wanted to leave. I would 100% recommend Nicole to anybody. Booked Milo in short notice, we had lots of updates and photos/ videos and we will definitely be asking for her help again in the future.”

About: My neighbours rely on me to walk and take care of their dogs, I hope you can rely on me too. I've also taken care of fish, guinea pigs, rabbits and cats so I'm pretty versatile with the care I can give your pets. I have also trained 2 dogs to be potty trained and do some tricks. I'm a uni student studying medicine at Uni of Leicester with a flexible schedule and a big love for dogs. I’m usually free in the early mornings and evenings, which makes walks and playtime easy to fit in. I’m also available on Fridays and weekends for dog boarding. Your pup will get plenty of attention, care, and cuddles while you’re away! I haven't got other pets in my home so it's easy to give all my attention to your pup. I’ve got a big garden that’s fully fenced for them to explore. There is a park just 5 minutes away from where I live so your dog can have a good time with fresh air. I've been dog walking for 3 years now so I hope you trust me with your dog and I promise to make sure they feel safe, loved and well-exercised.
“I recently had the pleasure of leaving my dogs with Bianca for two days, and I couldn’t be more impressed with her service! From the moment I met her, it was clear that she truly loves and understands animals. My dogs came back happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. Bianca kept me updated throughout their stay with regular photos and videos, which was such a thoughtful touch and gave me complete peace of mind. I would highly recommend Bianca to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and professional dog sitter. She went above and beyond, and I’ll definitely be reaching out to her again in the future!”

“Rachael treated Mollie our little Shih Tzu with the same level of affection and care as she treated her own dog- what more could I ask for! She was very helpful at all points of contact and I felt very much at ease knowing she was caring for Mollie, Many thanks Rachael.”

i couldn't have asked for a nicer lady to look after my dog. Nothing was too much trouble and I didn't feel I was being a nuisance with my requests. I was sent daily updates and photos of my dog having a lovely time. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Pippa and will use her again. Thank you Pippa you were great.

Finding the right boarding environment is all about peace of mind. Boarding with a sitter on Rover helps you find a cosy experience in a real home for your dog.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in West Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
