About: Hi we are Yoko & Robert! We both work from home, so we're here all day, every day. Our house is in a quiet neighborhood with 3 parks & long canal-bank trail nearby. Our garden is fully fenced and tidy with natural plants and tree to explore (and pee!) We've cared for paralyzed dogs that needed special attention, fragile little ones like Chihuahuas and Japanese spitz, and larger breeds too. Our own dog is a friendly and calm 8yrs old rescued Cane Corso, so we know senior care too. I spent 4 years volunteering in shelters, and my partner grew up with dogs, so we're comfortable with puppies, nervous rescues, and everyone in between. We pay attention to each dog's personality and habits, and make sure they feel special, safe, clean, comfy and happy while they're with us. We're home throughout the day, so your dog will always have company. We take our own dog for 3 walks a day, at least 30 minutes each, and we often squeeze in a fourth if the weather's good. On weekends we drive to further parks and doggy ranches in West Midlands and let our dog run free for a couple of hours. That said, we're happy to adjust to your dog's usual rhythm – whether they're an early riser, a lazy lounger, or used to their own walk times. We keep a clean, calm home with no visitors and a chill atmosphere. Our garden is fully fenced and secure, and we always keep an eye on your dog when they're outside. We're present without being overbearing – just being around means we can tune into your dog's mood and adapt to however they like to spend their time, whether that's extra playtime, a quiet cuddle, or just having someone nearby. We genuinely enjoy all kinds of personalities, and we’d love for you to feel at ease when your loved ones are with us.
“Slinky had his first sleep over with Nicky and her family last night. I was updated throughout the time he was there, and could tell he was having a great time (pretty sure Nicky’s dogs will be pleased of the peace and quiet now he’s gone) Thank you so much x”

“I would highly recommend Mark and Sue, they are a very caring couple and made Harley and I feel very welcome, it was like I had known them for years, nothing was too much trouble for them. I’ve never left my fur baby Harley with anyone before, so booked him in for a sleepover before my main holiday at the end of June and he was more than happy to stay with them, he was loved and looked after as if he was their own. I know I can go off on my holidays knowing he will be very well looked after, it will be home from home for him now. Will definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a loving home to look after their pet (fur baby). Thank you both from Harley & Sue xx”

“I couldn't have asked for a better family to take care of Larsson! It was truly a home from home experience, just what our little boy needs to feel comfortable. Regular pictures updates and excellent communication throughout. But most of all, a passion for creating a warm, inviting and loving space for the him that is very much appreciated. I highly recommend Josef and family, he'll be seeing you again soon! Thank you.”

“Maria was lovely with Pablo during his stay and kept me updated with lovely pictures and videos so I could see all the fun he was having. It makes such a difference knowing your dog is being cared for as though he is part of the family.”

About: A loving, patient and experienced home-from-home for dogs and cats. I’m a huge animal lover with a real soft spot for both dogs and cats. I appreciate everything about them — their little personalities, their quirks, their loyalty, their independence, and the joy they bring into a home. Over the years, I’ve been lucky enough to care for and spend time with many animals, both at home and during my travels. My profile includes photos of some of the wonderful dogs and cats I’ve looked after or met along the way, as well as testimonials from people who have trusted me with their much-loved pets. During my time working overseas, I worked closely with local animal shelters in my spare time, helping to care for and rehabilitate some of the most vulnerable dogs. That experience taught me the importance of patience, trust, gentle reassurance and understanding that every animal needs to feel safe in their own time. I know that no two pets are the same. Some dogs need playful energy, long walks and adventure, while others need calm reassurance, patience and a softer approach. Some cats love attention and company, while others prefer space, quiet and time to settle. I will always take the time to understand your pet’s routine, personality and comfort levels so they feel safe, happy and cared for. I currently live in a child and pet-free home due to regular travel for work, so I’m really looking forward to welcoming animals back into my home and giving them the love, attention and comfort they deserve. Whether your pet needs a walk, day care, an overnight stay or a longer visit, I will treat them as if they were my own. Your pet’s happiness, safety and routine will always be my priority, and I’ll do everything I can to make sure they feel relaxed, loved and completely at home. I work from home on Weekdays and will be available various Weekends also. Please ask me any questions you have. I know your pet is super important to you so having your mind at ease whilst they are here is super important to me. My home is currently child-free and pet-free, offering a calm and relaxed environment where your pet can feel safe and settled. I also have a fenced garden, giving dogs a secure outdoor space to play, stretch their legs or enjoy some fresh air. Whether your pet is full of energy and loves playtime, or prefers a quiet, cosy space to rest, I can adapt to what makes them feel happiest. I’ll give them attention, affection and reassurance when they need it, while also respecting when they may need a little space and quiet time.
“Absolute first class, five star service from Sheree and her husband. From the moment Gizmo arrived he was treated like one of the family. The regular photos and updates were brilliant. We will definitely use Sheree again and highly recommend her home.”

About: I have looked after dogs since I was 9 years old, ranging from little pups to older dogs, and absolutely love them all! I have a lot of experience in caring for puppies and know how to crate train, keep ‘place’ as well as basic commands if needed, but can care for your loving pet exactly how you would want me to :) I am currently dog sitting both at other people’s houses and my own. My own house has a large fenced garden next to a big park, perfect for walkies! I have a fenced, safe garden that is well maintained and do not own my own pets at current. I maintain a clean and organised home with space for crates, toys, and everything your dog requires! I live with my parents who also have experience in caring for other people’s dogs and previously owned our own.

“I think Chris is a secret dog whisperer! She is so experienced in caring for your dog that it really does make you feel Iike they have a home from home. My cavapoo is quite anxious and sticks to me like Velcro at home, she was not phased by this at all. Would highly recommend!”

About: I've had dogs my whole life and believe dogs are not pets but family members. Your dog will be in the safest of hands and will be spoiled rotten, whilst you're away. My dog goes to doggy day care, when I go on holiday so I understand how people feel when leaving their family member behind (this isn't easy to a lot of people). I have my own dog and i've looked after family members, since the age of 21 (when they go on holiday). I've had and looked after a variety of dogs from Cockapoo to Staffy's to Grey Hounds. Currently have a 10 year old Cockapoo, that doesn't tend to have an interest in other dogs. Your dog will be walked, allowed on the furniture and beds and they won't be left on their own. I can bath them (at an additional cost) if required. They can also sleep on the bed or you can provide a crate, if this follows their usual sleeping arrangement. Currently work Monday to Friday so my availability is for weekend stays only. During the weekends, I will always be in unless i've notified you of anything different in advance. I have a fenced garden and live a 2/3 minute walk to a large park. I'll be in all weekend so no pets will be left alone. Your family member can sleep on the furniture or our bed. You can provide a crate for them to sleep, if this is the usual arrangement for your dog. Have access to the whole house. If I wanted to take your pet anywhere, I will always request this with yourself first.

About: I’ve always had a keen interest in dogs and cats, from walking dogs from around my local area to feeding the strays and getting them vet treated. I sleep and dream of animals, I love each and every animal and truly believe I'm blessed to have any kind of pet. I have worked with large and small pets and nothing is too much trouble, I thrive from being in such an environment. I have experience with young and senior cats/dogs. I have a clean DBS and currently work from home as legal advisor, I have lots of time to share! I am first aid trained and can administer medication. I’m currently a work from home mother as a legal advisor, I fit my life around my work needs with the flexibility my job does allow me. I wake early, and welcome anyone on an early schedule. I feed the animals and like to walk any dogs before there sun fully comes out especially summer months. I provide healthy snack options where diet restrictions are not an issue such as fruit and vegetables or a fun broth popsicle. Animals are entertained and I don’t skimp with supervised toy play. Winding down for the evening, meals are prepared and walks are taken into consideration. I have plenty of land around for excellent nature walks and at times take dogs out in the bus to get to more scenic areas! I can provide bedding and bowls as I do have plenty any additional requests are most welcome. I have a large fenced garden and three doors including porch which keeps any animals safe and secure during day hours and night time. Dogs are free to roam throughout the home unless pet parents have a preference. I shall respect any boundary requirements to the full extent to support with on going training.
“Milo had a wonderful time with Katarzyna and her family. Milo is probably the most energetic dog in the world and I'm sure he wore everyone out. We can't thank you enough for having him for us. He can't wait until his next stay.”

“Nicole took such great care of Milo our golden doodle, to the point I don’t think he wanted to leave. I would 100% recommend Nicole to anybody. Booked Milo in short notice, we had lots of updates and photos/ videos and we will definitely be asking for her help again in the future.”

“Diana was amazing with Teddy!!! Teddy loved it so much I could barely get him to leave haha, and she kept me updated with pictures of him enjoying himself. Thank you so much.”

“How delighted we were with Wilsons stay with Marcia, Andy & Lola, this is one loving home......Marcia is a devoted dog person to any breed and clearly ensures that the dog is comfortable and looked after in her company. Wilson loved his stay with his new friend Lola and we have already booked him in for our next break with others to follow. Updates on the dogs well being during our holiday were really appreciated and I personally cannot recommend Marcia G enough.”

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in West Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
