“Percy & Neville have just had their second stay with Lyndsey and they were so excited when we dropped them off! We received lots of updates and lovely photos of the boys walking and chilling, which is so nice to see them relaxed. Lyndsey and Her Family treat the boys as if they were their own, allowing them to stay in their room and we couldn’t thank you enough for taking such good care of them!”

“Can't thank Laura enough for looking after Millie, she's so kind & caring with my minnie Daschund. It's clear Millie loves her holidays with her & the boys. Highly recommend & won't use anyone else now we've found Laura 🐾🐾😁”

“Lauren has been fantastic with Lou! He’s an elderly fella and has sight loss, so I was worried about leaving him somewhere new, but Lauren totally put my mind at ease and managed Lou with love and care, not only supporting his limitations gently but also nursing him though a heatwave! I’d give ten stars if I could 😊”

“I was quite anxious leaving Elsa for the Easter weekend, but Sheila put me at ease from the very first meet-and-greet. Throughout Elsa’s stay, we received frequent updates and pictures that reassured me. Elsa clearly had a wonderful time, and I would absolutely trust Sheila again without hesitation. Thanks so much for looking after my baby so well ❤️”

“This was my dog’s second stay with Gemma. Darcie can be quite timid but she took to Gemma and her family straight away. Gemma kept me updated and sent photos of Darcie’s adventures. I know that Darcie is being cared for as I would so I can relax and enjoy my holiday. Highly recommend Gemma and I will be booking her again.”

About: 🐾 Qualifications & Experience • DBS checked, certificate on request • Animal Care & Pet First Aid/CPR (QLS Level 3) • Veterinary Support Assistant Diploma • Level 2 Animal Care • Animal Behaviour training I’ve loved dogs my whole life and have experience with all sizes and breeds — from German Shepherds to Shih Tzus. I currenty work in the veterinary sector, after a 5 year gap away. Here I have gained strong knowledge of animal health, behaviour, and client care. Alongside this, I’ve regularly cared for and walked dogs for friends and family. I have a particular interest in dog behaviour, especially supporting nervous or reactive dogs. I adopted my own dog from an abuse background (Hatton Kennels) and have spent the past 3 years building his confidence with the support of behaviourists and some hard work. It’s been one of the most rewarding experiences and has given me real, hands-on understanding of patience, trust-building, and calm handling. I’ve also had the pleasure of volunteering at Hilbrae Rescue Kennels, and I’m keen to continue supporting rescue work. I’m confident in caring for nervous or reactive dogs and always take a calm, gentle approach. I completely understand how important it is to feel comfortable leaving your pet, so I’m always happy to arrange a meet-and-greet beforehand. Work part time at a Vets. I am available evenings and weekends currently with more flexible hours to come. I am central Telford so travelling is never a problem. I take a keen interest in dog behaviour and always want to understand the dogs needs. I will adapt to whatever the owner wants. And most importantly, will love your doggo as if it were my own.

“Well what can I say about Frazer - an absolute superstar!! He is the first dog sitter I have used and he will be my go to from now on. The guy is amazing. He learnt all of my dogs habits and routines beforehand and gave them the absolute best time while we were away. Regular photos and videos were sent daily which also put our mind at rest while we were so far away. We have only had Daisy for three months and were a little worried about how she would cope without us but she and Frankie had the best time. I would recommend Frazer without a seconds hesitation - he is the best. Do not look elsewhere, trust Frazer with your loved ones, I promise he will love them as much as you do.”

“Thank you so much for having Storm and Penny, they loved it with Charlie, she kept me updated with pictures, I had a mix up with dates and Charlie was so good with accommodating this, amazing communication before and during their stay, I would 100% use her again, thank you so much!”

“Rebeca has been absolutely amazing!! Bella loved her time with her and the updates sent were really great and had me at ease while we were on holiday. Bella usually has really bad anxiety with new people but she settled in perfectly and was eating as normal!! So happy we have went with Rebeca as she was truly wonderful and just PERFECT! thank you definitely recommend🥰🥰🥰”

About: I have had experience of dogs since age 8 when my parents had 2 golden retrievers. There has only been a period of around 10 years in my life where I have not lived with dogs. I have bred rottweilers and German shepherds. I am a house husband so apart from nipping the shops, I am at home 95% of the time. We live in a rural area and within a 5 minute walk there is access to fields, woods and walks right by the wrekin. My whole life is pet care at the moment, I love it. I can do very last minute bookings so long as there can be a quick meet to establish all dogs are going to get on. I especially like big dogs and don't mind a bit boisterous / challenging. So long as they get on with my dogs. We have a good sized enclosed garden with dog flap doors which lead to the garden. I am a house husband and am at home 95% of the time. I take my dogs out for 3 to 4 walks a day starting very early in the morning. Our dogs are very playful and freindly with other dogs. I have had many a relatives dog stay over whilst they are away so I am very used to looking after multiple dogs. I have raised a few litters of pups, the last litter 12/2025.
“Cato had a great time staying with Yin; he had playtime, walks and cuddles and came back lovely and clean as we’d also booked a groom while he was with her - a really convenient service to use! We were kept up to date with photos, videos and a summary of what he’d been up to so we could see he was being looked after with love and care.”

About: I was a dog mom for 13 years and my beautiful best friend Amigo had the best life any dog could ask for. I love animals deeply and I moved to the area I live just for my dog. My house is fully dog proof with a dog flap, garden and woodlands right outside the front door. He passed away 5 months ago and I can’t bear to have another dog of my own, but the house is quiet and I miss being able to look after a furry friend. Amigo was a white German shepherd so I am used to big dogs and the needs of a “working” dog breed. If you want your dog to be looked after with the amount of love you give them, then I am your gal. My best friend Jenny is also a boarder / walker, so if there is any time where I need to pop out shortly she can normally pop in and keep your fur babies some company . I work from home currently and did so, so that I could be with my dog before he passed. I can give a lot of attention to your furry friend as they will be here right with me. I also have a dog flap so there always free to go outside as much as they like. *If I am out for any reason my bestie who is a dog boarder & walker can pop by. She also lives down the road from me which is a plus. So be rest assured that your fur baby will be well looked after. I have a fenced in garden, and a two story house so there is enough space (my German Shepard was very comfortable here and didn’t have any issues). You tell me how many treats your pet can have and I’ll provide the cuddles and playtimes. * Jenny also has a fenced garden. She has a 4 bedroom 2 story new build which is stunning.
“Emma was fantastic & put our mind's at rest while having our dog Lilly, sending us pictures every day of lilly's walks & travels while we were on holiday ,we were more than happy & would have no worries leaving Lilly in Emma's safe hands. Much more than I expected ?”

“Aimee was amazing! Our boy is very anxious around new people but Aimee was calm and gave him a lovely environment to be in for a week, sending us pictures and updates every day! I would fully reccomend Aimee and we will be using her again for all our dog boarding thankyou”

“Fantastic Dog Sitter really really easy to get along with communication was 10 out of 10 and got a really great vibe. Will 100% be bringing Albie back again in the future as they seem to get on great. The photo was a really nice touch. You might say quite high-quality too LOL. Great to have such an easy option. This close to New Year’s Eve would highly recommend. Thanks again from Michael and Albie.”

“Absolutely fantastic service, Pippa our 9 month old Labrador had the best time, I’m not sure she was that happy to come home 🤣 Sophie and Ollie were brilliant, I had lots of daily updates, videos and pictures, Pippa loved being there with the other holiday dogs. 100% recommend Sophie and Ollie Pippa had a 5 star holiday.”

Lyndsey and Jim were brilliant. I have only ever left Ozzy my dog with family before but they provided a home from home for him and my son’s dog, Luna. Lyndsey and Jim were reassuring, calm but very professional. We got regular communications, photos, enough to reassure us that they were happy and being cared for. When we collected Ozzy and Luna, they were happy to see us but clearly relaxed and content. We choose Lyndsey and Jim as they live near to where our daughter was getting married but we would have no hesitation booking them again, even though it’s an hour’s journey from our home.

I'm not going to give Lauren a review full of positives and gratitudes, which she truly deserves actually, because I want her to be available next time we want to use her fabulous dogs careing services. We would not want to have to leave our 12yo Scottish Deerhound with anyone else now so please don't use Lauren in case our dates clash. Thanks.
Laura has been amazing with our Frenchie, Frankie. He has been very well looked after, had lots of adventures and I don’t think he wanted to come home! Will definitely use Laura again and definitely recommend 109%. It’s so nice to go on holiday and not have to worry about your pet as you know he is being so well looked after.

My 2 year old dog Rolo stayed with Rebecca for just over 2 weeks. I received daily updates on what he was doing, whether that was his daily walk, him playing in the garden or one of the many amazing outings he went on! Whilst with Rebecca, Rolo visited a farm, cannock chase, telford flower festival and many other wonderful places. I would highly recommend Rebecca to anyone who requires pet care. Thanks again!
Thank you so much once again! Blue was very happy and he really appreciated you allowing him on your bed for snuggling. He is very happy and chilled, He really enjoyed his little walks too. We loved the pics and updates on how he was doing, it was very reassuring. Thank you xx

Man Choi was amazing with Biscuit! She sent lots of updates and photos to us during our holiday to put our minds at rest. Biscuit really enjoyed her time with Man Choi and Man Choi made sure Biscuit had lots of fuss and all her medication, food and drink and toilet breaks too! We would use Man Choi 100% again and are so happy with how she looked after Biscuit and treated her so well with lots of love and care. Great care and communication! Thank you!

Leigh was super helpful when we had a last minute holiday booked, she answered any questions we had and helped in every way possible. Halloumi seemed to have such a nice time, he's come back way more relaxed than usual and seems so much more chilled. We were sent so many photos and videos whilst away which was lovely to see. I will definitely be using Leigh again in the future and i think other people should too. Thank you Leigh 😊 x
Elena and her family were excellent and vey attentive to Willow. We received loads of updates and pictures. Willow showed only happiness when we collected him and no sign of stress. Willow seemed to of had a very enjoyable time with Elena lots of walks and plenty of cuddles

Sinead inspired confidence when we met before placing Artoo with her for a week. It was the first time we had placed him with someone completely unknown to us (our previous options not being available at short notice) but it was confidence that wasn't misplaced at all. He seemed to have a really great time and she sent us lots of reassuring updates. He got really well with Sinead's own dogs too. She also went out of her way to accommodate our (very short notice!) plans. Her love of dogs and competence shines through. I can't praise or recommend her highly enough.

- Possesses relevant experience with your pet’s specific breed, size, and personality
- Maintains clear communication regarding the frequency of photo and message updates

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in West Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
