“Second stay with Dominika for my girl Ripley . She had an absolute ball and loves being with Dominika and she adores Shogo . Highly recommend , home from home for your beloved dog xxx”

About: A loving, patient and experienced home-from-home for dogs and cats. I’m a huge animal lover with a real soft spot for both dogs and cats. I appreciate everything about them — their little personalities, their quirks, their loyalty, their independence, and the joy they bring into a home. Over the years, I’ve been lucky enough to care for and spend time with many animals, both at home and during my travels. My profile includes photos of some of the wonderful dogs and cats I’ve looked after or met along the way, as well as testimonials from people who have trusted me with their much-loved pets. During my time working overseas, I worked closely with local animal shelters in my spare time, helping to care for and rehabilitate some of the most vulnerable dogs. That experience taught me the importance of patience, trust, gentle reassurance and understanding that every animal needs to feel safe in their own time. I know that no two pets are the same. Some dogs need playful energy, long walks and adventure, while others need calm reassurance, patience and a softer approach. Some cats love attention and company, while others prefer space, quiet and time to settle. I will always take the time to understand your pet’s routine, personality and comfort levels so they feel safe, happy and cared for. I currently live in a child and pet-free home due to regular travel for work, so I’m really looking forward to welcoming animals back into my home and giving them the love, attention and comfort they deserve. Whether your pet needs a walk, day care, an overnight stay or a longer visit, I will treat them as if they were my own. Your pet’s happiness, safety and routine will always be my priority, and I’ll do everything I can to make sure they feel relaxed, loved and completely at home. I work from home on Weekdays and will be available various Weekends also. Please ask me any questions you have. I know your pet is super important to you so having your mind at ease whilst they are here is super important to me. My home is currently child-free and pet-free, offering a calm and relaxed environment where your pet can feel safe and settled. I also have a fenced garden, giving dogs a secure outdoor space to play, stretch their legs or enjoy some fresh air. Whether your pet is full of energy and loves playtime, or prefers a quiet, cosy space to rest, I can adapt to what makes them feel happiest. I’ll give them attention, affection and reassurance when they need it, while also respecting when they may need a little space and quiet time.
“Slinky had his first sleep over with Nicky and her family last night. I was updated throughout the time he was there, and could tell he was having a great time (pretty sure Nicky’s dogs will be pleased of the peace and quiet now he’s gone) Thank you so much x”

“Karen kindly stepped in to help us on the same day with very short notice. She looked after our dog with so much care and made sure he had a great time. We’re really grateful for her kindness and flexibility with drop-off and pick-up times – it made everything so easy for us.”

“Annie had an amazing time with Diana. She went on 2 good walks and had great fun playing with their puppy, Roxy! I had regular updates and photos so I could see that Annie was happy and relaxed so I didn't need to worry. I would definitely use Diana again.”

“Cannot recommend Chris enough! Rocky is my first pup and I’ve never left him with anyone other than my parents whilst away. As he is so young I was really nervous he wouldn’t settle. But I didn’t need to worry, Chris gave me daily picture and video updates of his walk and playtimes and it was extremely reassuring. Rocky is with me pretty much 24/7 (even comes in the bathroom) while I shower and whilst I wasn’t with him physically the videos helped a great deal especially as he hadn’t been apart from me for more than 2 days! Due to the collie in him he is very active and I appreciated that Chris was able to keep up that schedule and allowed him to still keep his routine at home. He got dirty on walks (to be expected) as he does love water but Chris ensured he was washed before my mother came to pick him up. Couldn’t recommend Chris enough. Thank You ☺️”

About: I've had dogs my whole life and believe dogs are not pets but family members. Your dog will be in the safest of hands and will be spoiled rotten, whilst you're away. My dog goes to doggy day care, when I go on holiday so I understand how people feel when leaving their family member behind (this isn't easy to a lot of people). I have my own dog and i've looked after family members, since the age of 21 (when they go on holiday). I've had and looked after a variety of dogs from Cockapoo to Staffy's to Grey Hounds. Currently have a 10 year old Cockapoo, that doesn't tend to have an interest in other dogs. Your dog will be walked, allowed on the furniture and beds and they won't be left on their own. I can bath them (at an additional cost) if required. They can also sleep on the bed or you can provide a crate, if this follows their usual sleeping arrangement. Currently work Monday to Friday so my availability is for weekend stays only. During the weekends, I will always be in unless i've notified you of anything different in advance. I have a fenced garden and live a 2/3 minute walk to a large park. I'll be in all weekend so no pets will be left alone. Your family member can sleep on the furniture or our bed. You can provide a crate for them to sleep, if this is the usual arrangement for your dog. Have access to the whole house. If I wanted to take your pet anywhere, I will always request this with yourself first.
“What a wonderful time wispa had with Michelle. A real home from home. Although I missed having my fur baby with me, the pics sent daily showed how much fun she was having. Thank u Michelle and family. Wispa wants to visit again so I shall b booking in the future.”

“I would highly recommend Mark and Sue, they are a very caring couple and made Harley and I feel very welcome, it was like I had known them for years, nothing was too much trouble for them. I’ve never left my fur baby Harley with anyone before, so booked him in for a sleepover before my main holiday at the end of June and he was more than happy to stay with them, he was loved and looked after as if he was their own. I know I can go off on my holidays knowing he will be very well looked after, it will be home from home for him now. Will definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a loving home to look after their pet (fur baby). Thank you both from Harley & Sue xx”

“Alex & Christie were amazing. My dog was very anxious staying with them and they arranged to look after him at my house while I was away. This was very last minute but they put my dogs anxiety first. Alex came to visit my dog regularly and put Dave(my dog) at ease. Highly recommended. Would give 6 stars if possible!”

“Phillipa and her family were excellent with our little shitzu for the weekend. Very professional, attentive and kept us updated with photographs throughout the weekend. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a dog sitter for their pooch.”

“100% positive recommendation for Jozef and his family. Our dog Charlie had love and attention during his stay. We had the warmest of welcomes on our pre stay visit and left fully confident and trusting in their care. Jozef sent us pics and messages during the day. Charlie is a newly adopted dog with limited eyesight so we wanted him to have special care which he truly did. A lovely family and we will not trust anyone else now with Charlie. Thank you Jozef”

“Our 2nd time using Saran and she looked after our dogs like they were her own and they had the best time. Saran again kept in communication with us throughout the week with photographs and videos. Our dogs have come home very happy and cared for and would highly recommended Saran to anyone and hope to continue to be able to book in the future!!”

“Highly recommend Tahra! She was so good with my Pocket Bully - Mona - sent pictures to keep me updated and I genuinely feel that they had a great time together. Would definitely be confident in leaving my dog in Tahra safe hands again!”

About: I have owned and cared for a vast array of dogs over the last thirty years including Jack Russells, Collies and Atikas and currently own a crazy little Lakeland Terrier called Ted. I understand that you want your dog to be safe, comfortable and relaxed when you go away. I live in a spacious house with a large, totally enclosed garden and we have a nature reserve nearby for daily walks.. I will follow any feeding or care instructions and treat your babies like my own. I am home most of the time being semi retired . My partner is fully retired and spends his day pottering in the garden and shed. I drive and am fit and healthy. Ted is never alone more than a couple of hours and you can rest assured your dog will have plenty of company. Ted is an escapologist so our home and garden is escape proof. Stairs can be closed off if you don't like your dog to climb them. Access to the garden is always available as is fresh water and comfy sofas.

“Kacey looked after our 1-year-old Goldador, Vader, for the day and provided an excellent service from start to finish. Vader was happy, well cared for, and clearly enjoyed his time with her. Kacey was friendly, professional, and kept us updated throughout the day, which gave us real peace of mind. We wouldn’t hesitate to use Kacey again in the future and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter.”

“Briana was absolutely brilliant with Daisy. It was Daisys first time stopping over and Briana truly made it a home from home experience for her. Daisy returned to us a very happy little beagle …thanks Briana we will definitely be booking again x”

About: I have grown up with dogs all my life, and have wide knowledge of caring for animals. Also completed a pet sitting course which includes animal first aid. I have a dog of my own bichon so any visitors would need to be socialible with other dogs. I am happy to also visit your homes and sort animals out there in their familiar environment. I would treat any dog who comes to board at mine like a part of my family, this also includes letting them sleep on bed and relax on furniture. I am a caring individual who puts the needs of animals before her own. Your pets could not be in any safer hands, I know it is stressful when you need to leave them behind. You would not need to worry at all and I would send regular updates via any medium you require, including pictures of your pet I'm available for boarding at the weekends, and day care after 330pm on weekdays. I sometimes also wfh so can fit in dog sitting on those days too. Just drop me a message I have a fenced garden, and 1 friendly dog to keep your dog company. Dogs can relax on furniture in a calm environment. Very comfortable house.
“Hiu Ling was amazing. We left our kitten with her for 4days and it was the first time we were leaving him. She did a meet & greet with us a few days before we were going to drop our kitten off to her. She was very polite and she also has 3cats of her own. Our kitten has never interacted with other animals so we were a little hesitant about this but she reassured us and we felt better knowing she has plenty of experiences with cats. She sent us up to date videos and photos throughout the 4days and took very good care of our kitten. Simba came back to us happy and healthy. She is someone we will use in the future.”

Dog owners share their Rover experiences - Walsall
We booked with Diana as a last minute request after reading her excellent reviews and we couldn’t be happier. We had regular updates and we could tell Coco was having a great time! Diana was great at assessing Coco’s behaviour and recognising how comfortable she was with other dogs in her space. We felt at ease as soon as we dropped her off. We will definitely be booking with Diana again when we need to!

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Kacey and partner. From the very first message she was friendly, reassuring and genuinely cared about making sure Mylo and Marlie felt at home. She kept us updated throughout their stay with lots of messages, photos and videos, which gave us complete peace of mind. It was lovely seeing how well they settled in and how much fun they had playing with her dog. They were clearly treated like part of the family and absolutely adored. We’ll definitely be booking with Kacey again and would recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable and loving home from home for their dogs. Thank you so much for looking after our two so well!

Michelle and Jason looked after Oscar and Mabel for a week. I would not leave my dogs with anyone else. They give them so much love and care. They kept them cool during the heatwave and sent me regular pup dates. Oscar and Mabel love their holidays with Michelle and Jason.

Lily had the time of her life. Alex and Christie integrated her straight away with their family and included lily in everything from school runs to leisure pursuits. We would thoroughly recommend them and their lovely family home to anyone wanting to have their dog extremely well cared for.

Finding the right boarding environment is all about peace of mind. Boarding with a sitter on Rover helps you find a cosy experience in a real home for your dog.
When searching for a host, look for a sitter who:
- Offers a secure, home-like environment that is clean and welcoming
- Adheres to your dog’s established routine for meals, activity, and rest
- Possesses relevant experience with your pet’s specific breed, size, and personality
- Maintains clear communication regarding the frequency of photo and message updates
Don’t skip the Meet & Greet! The free Meet & Greet is the best way to see where your dog will sleep and who they might play with.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in West Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
