About: I’ve had the luxury of having dogs all through-out my life. I currently have a little Shitzu called Alfie myself and understand how much dogs mean to an in individual or family. I’ve also had great experience walking both family and friends dog’s in the past and treated them as my own on each occasion. I currently work full time however only work on weekdays. My schedule allows me to be free over the weekend starting on a Friday evening. I also have either a Monday or Friday off each week depending on the month so this helps massively with fitting time for your dog🙌🏼 I treat my own dog with love and care just as we all do and wouldn’t change this when being trusted with someone else’s dog. I understand the do’s and don’ts when it comes to dog walking and dog sitting. For example, when I work away I ensure my family are able to look after my dog as I realise just how important it is for dogs to be around someone to care for them on a daily basis. I will always do my upmost best to ensure as owners you’re happy with the service being provided. I will also ensure I can meet your specific needs depending on your dog.

Charlotte did an amazing job looking after our house and our dog Kipper. Kipper is a challenging dog but Charlotte coped perfectly with him. We will be booking Charlotte for next year and would not hesitate to recommend her service. Thank you Charlotte!

About: I took the main care role for the family dog from my late teens and helped out when needed up until the end. Love to look after any dog in need of love and attention. I have a fairly flexible work schedule with part time study. I will have my 7 year old son with me, he is a calm quiet loving little boy, I will have to have him with me on house sits so all dogs must be child friendly. We'll probably get on better with your dog than you, nothing personal we're just both on the spectrum. There's a communal garden outside my block of flats where dogs are welcome on lead. I have a long line to allow a dog some space whilst maintaining safety. There's plenty of field and park spaces nearby for walks and running around.

About: I have a small beagle, he is 9 years old, I brought him from Peru 1 year ago, He is extremely friendly with doggs and people, and he has been my loyal companion since I was 19. He’s more than a pet — he’s part of my family, my little one, and my reason to smile every day. I used to spend hours walking with him in the park, playing at home, and cuddling at night. My love for dogs started early — my first dog was a Shih Tzu when I was just 7 years old, so growing up with pets has always felt natural to me. I’d be thrilled to care for your dog as if they were my own. They’ll have not just company, but warmth, patience, and genuine affection. Whether it’s playtime, walks, or simply making them feel safe and loved while you’re away — you can trust they’ll be in great hands I currently work part-time (15 hours per week), so I spend the rest of my time at home, which gives me plenty of time to take care of a dog. I care for pets by providing them with a safe, comfortable, and loving environment, whether at my home or the pet owner’s home. I have a 9 year-old dog who is very quiet and loves to sleep, but I also spend a lot of time with him playing and keeping him engaged. I make sure all pets feel at ease, get plenty of attention, and follow their usual routines, including feeding, walks, and playtime. My goal is to ensure they feel happy and cared for at all times.

I am currently working part time, however i am working a zero hour contract so i am not working a lot, im always available when needed. I follow the owner’s instructions closely, keep pets safe and comfortable, and make sure they get plenty of love, play, and care in their own home.

About: I've always wanted a pet of my own but haven't been able to beacuse of my parents but that hasn't stopped me from being around animals, For the past 5 years I have looked after my friends and families pets such as cats, Dogs,Guniea pigs and snakes and I have loved caring and learning about animals and spending time with every single one of them. Pet care fits perfectly into my daily routine since I have a very flexible schedule and am always available. This allows me to give pets my full attention, maintain consistent feeding and walking times, and provide plenty of play, care, and companionship throughout the day and night. My availability ensures that each pet gets the time, patience, and love they need to feel comfortable and cared for while their owners are away. Im not allowing pets in my house at the moment but I do have a very large back garden. Im only available for dog walking.

About: Since I was little growing up with my parents we have always had pets in the house especially dogs . We have always had labradors in our family, one of them was called ‘Honey’ a passionate dog . Her days were filled with the joyous barks and wagging tails whenever she saw a ball. From morning walks to bedtime cuddles, she was always there, every moment was a celebration of the unconditional love that only dogs can provide. Over the last 8-10 years of looking after my own dogs as of taking care of my close friends dogs is a rewarding journey of patience and consistency, it’s a collaborative effort Expect nothing but love, care and attention 😊 Only house sitting and dog walking is available I’m currently working part time on a 0 hour contract so I’m pretty flexible at the moment so whatever works best for you I can work around it :) I ensure they’re in a comfortable environment, they’re provided with a good balanced diet, regular day to day exercise which is paramount for the pets health, try to address any behavioural issues but of all that nothing much love love love for the pet. Number one priority 🤗

The most wonderful dog‑sitting experience we could have hoped for Daz took care of our French Bulldog, Chloe, for an overnight stay, and honestly, it meant so much to us to see how loved and safe she was with him. Chloe can be a sensitive little soul, but she settled with Daz instantly, that alone speaks volumes. He kept us updated, reassured us throughout, and treated her with the same affection and patience we do at home. She was calm, happy, and clearly adored. It’s such a relief to find someone who genuinely gets her and cares as deeply as we do.We’re incredibly grateful for the kindness, attention, and warmth Daz showed her. It made the whole experience stress‑free and genuinely heartwarming. We’ll absolutely be booking again.

Cat has been a star! Florence absolutely loves her and we had no hesitation in booking Cat for a week's sit. We get daily updates with photos of what pooch has been up to and it's so reassuring to know she's having a good time. I think Florence is sad to see Cat leave! House was left spotless too. Couldn't ask for better in a house sitter. Thanks Cat xx❤️

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Walsall walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Walsall choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
