About: I’ve always had a real passion and love for dogs, and I’m excited to take this opportunity to care for other people’s beloved pets. My experience comes from regularly looking after family members’ pets, where I’ve enjoyed giving them plenty of attention, care, walks and affection. I understand how important it is to feel comfortable leaving your pet with someone you can trust, and I’ll always treat every dog as if they were my own. currently postgraduate looking for a full-time job so in my spare time picking up pet care. Pretty much free most of the time, flexible working hours have a fenced garden, large house. Live with my mother and located near Arboretum Wallsal Park. just a short walk away, family friendly neighbourhood. Live a very clean lifestyle.
“Just want to say how amazing Mark and Sue are!!! They looked after our 2 dogs and cat for our Halloween wedding. As soon as meeting Mark and Sue I knew my fur babies where in the best hands. Mark and Sue go above and beyond for you while your away, keep you updated and are just the loveliest people! Would not have anyone else look after my animals. So very grateful to you both and we well definitely be using you again. Thank you again Mark and Sue 🧡😀”

“Glenda spent the day in our home because our 9 month old Border Collie came into season, so couldn’t go to doggy day care. Glenda had great communication, and looked after our sweet but energetic girl fantastically. Roxy can be a bit nervous around new people but took to Glenda straight away. We would definitely recommend her to other dog owners!”

About: I recently lost my 16 year old yorkie Daisy who was with us from a puppy. She was part of our family and we miss her terribly. Our home is too quiet now and I would love to take care ofyour fur baby if you would let me. We live in a bungalow with a secure fenced garden. We have no other pets or children around so your pet would be our priority whilst with us. We don't smoke and are both 63 years old. We have no boundaries in our home and your pets are allowed anywhere and on sofa or bed. I look forward to hopefully hearing from you. X I do not work as I'm a carer for my husband at home so I have plenty of spare time and love to give to your furbaby. Your pet would be well looked after at your home and I would follow any specific instructions that you give to me. I am very caring and trustworthy.
“After the initial meet and greet, I had no concerns with leaving my dog with Charlotte and was very happy again after my first appointment as it was clear that Sam had been very happy spending time with Charlotte, in fact after she left, Sam kept looking for her in the downstair rooms”

“I would 100% recommend Mel, she’s just watched our dog for a week while we’ve been away, and he’s so happy with her! I’m so relieved we found Mel so we can have peace of mind he’s being so well looked after when we’re not here. She also leaves the house perfect like you wouldn’t know anyone had been! 😊”

“Having never left Poppy overnight with a stranger before, Kim clearly looked after her so well. Kim sent photos and messages and treated Poppy like her own. Clearly a dog lover … thank you so much.”

“Sim was fantastic with Cookie. From the first meeting she took to him straight away. Today when I saw her she looked happy and tired so I know she had a great time. She allowed Sim to tickle her tummy which is rare so Cookie was very comfortable. We felt very happy and comfortable to have Sim in our home. Would highly recommend him to anyone.”

“Absolutely fantastic house sitting for our viszla Walter. Lesley was great at communication, professional and kind. She is very knowledgeable about canines in general and was reliable and reassuring. I would thoroughly recommend Lesley! Thank you”

About: - I have three cats, all of which I have cared for since they were kittens. - I have over five years of cat-raising experience. - During this time, I have helped my cats through giving birth, cared for cats with feline panleukopenia, and have experience administering medication. I am a full-time housewife. Other than taking my child to school and handling daily household chores, I am available to take care of your mother and spend time keeping her company. I prefer to care for pets in my own home because I am a full-time mum and need to look after my child. However, if the job only requires feeding twice a day and cleaning the litter box, I am able to help with that.

We honestly couldn’t recommend Daz highly enough! He was absolutely fantastic with our rescue Husky Jasmine and our very shy cat Tabitha. Communication was brilliant from start to finish. He constantly kept us updated with messages, photos and videos, which gave us such peace of mind and made being away so much easier. We had a storm on the first night which caused the garage to flood. Rather than letting us worry about it while we were away, he dealt with the situation himself and sorted everything out. That went above and beyond what we could have expected. We came home to two very happy pets and had complete peace of mind throughout our trip. We’re so grateful and would absolutely trust Daz with Jasmine and Tabitha again. Thank you so much! ❤️

Cat looked after our dog and cat for 5 days and we couldn't be happier. They were so well taken care of and far more comfortable in their own home than they would have been in a kennel or cattery. Can't recommend Cat enough, will most definitely be booking her for the fur babies again!

I have a 55kg male rottweiler that can be abit of a handful but jarred has looked after him for a couple of years on and off now and he absolutely loves him, he's always willing to help and I can tell bowser is looked after, I'd recommend jarred to anyone as he is passionate and u can see the love he has for animals absolutely a 5*

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Walsall walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Walsall choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
