“Highly recommend Kaeya. She accepted a sit for our two elderly chihuahuas at very short notice. They can be quite antisocial but took to her straight away at the meet and greet, and she updated us regularly throughout the sit with lots of photos included. One of our pooches has extra needs and regular medication which were provided for perfectly. Thank you so much Kaeya. It was such a relief to find someone so in tune with our pooches and we will definitely be in touch in the future.”
“Lesley was really attentive to Wallace who can be, some what of an attention seeker. We had a lot of communication prior to the sit that made me feel very comfortable. Lesley also took really good care of me of our home whilst we were away. Thank you!”

“Five star dog sitter. Thank you so much for looking after my young Border collie. Keeping me informed and updated ,with photo's & videos while I was elsewhere. Gave me peace of mind . Will definitely use you again. Highly recommend 👌”

About: NOTE: I am only able to confirm availability for summer bookings (June - Mid September) at the moment. Please feel free to express interest in dates outside of the summer months but understand I cannot make promises on availability. I am a qualified veterinarian who also has three years pet sitting experience. I can provide top-tier, compassionate care for your beloved pets whilst you are away. My medical background means that you can have complete peace of mind knowing you animal is in the hands of a trained professional who can competently administer medications, manage specific health needs and spot subtle changes in behaviour and well-being. Whether it is honouring daily routines, specialised medical care or simply providing love and attention, I treat every animal as if they are my own, giving you total comfort and confidence when you are on your travels. I am fairly flexible for the foreseeable future to allow for increased demand of pet sitting services over summer and due to taking a break for the veterinary industry after my recent graduation. I exclusively offer pet sitting services at the pets own home, I have found this is far more beneficial for the animal's well-being. I am totally respectful of the animal's environment and your home and very willing to take out the bins or turn lights on/off if needed.

I have experience walking my dog up mountains so I can walk very energetic dogs. If I look after your pet at your home I will discuss your pets needs with you to ensure your pet gets the best treatment
“We can’t thank Catherine enough for looking after our dog Mr Wilson for a week while we were away. Mr Wilson is a senior dog with additional needs so is on medication and uses wheels on walks. Catherine was fantastic at our introductory meet asking lots questions and made notes about our dog (we’ve never had this from a sitter before). She was confident with his medication, habits and his wheels. She updated us regularly with messages and photos and honestly, we felt so happy we’d picked her to look after him. I think he’s missing her this morning he was so well looked after. We’ve already booked her again for a sit in December and would whole heartedly recommend her. Thank you Catherine for all your help whilst we were away xxx”
“Thank you so much to both of you for looking after our little boy at such short notice! I cannot thank you enough. Rudy was welcomed with open arms, into a lovely home, and cared for brilliantly. He’s quite an apprehensive dog when meeting new people, but he soon settled in, and as Jas told me, stealing the show! See you again soon! Would highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Darryl was absolutely incredible! So easy going, good sense of humour and a real professional! Can see he absolutely loves animal's and brings clam and positive energy to your home. I have very high maintenance indoor cats and one that’s extremely nervous! So to be sent photos of them playing and sitting with him was everything! 🥹 My house was spotless when I got back! So grateful! I have already booked Darryl again for the summer as I wouldn’t want to miss out on having him! The peace of mind is everything! Knowing the cats were happy and the house was looked after! Thank you Darryl, you are a star! ⭐️”

“Absolutely lovley lady. Looked after our house and 2 dogs on NYE. Great price. Dogs seemed happy and she even went into the garden wirh them when they went out. 5* thanks so much once again. Will definitely be using again x”

“Fantastic dog sitting service - would highly recommend! Our very attached and nervous boy instantly took to the Andy and he was so happy and relaxed when we arrived back home. Andy provided regular updates and really focused on our dog during the stay which put our minds at ease. Could not rate Andy highly enough, absolutely brilliant service and would definitely rebook with him”

“Georgina is fantastic! She's so lovely and personable and got on with my dog straight away. She kept me up to date all day with pictures and videos which made being away from him so much easier! Bertie bonded with her straight away and had no issues being left with her. She completely understood the terrier bread and the quirks that go along with it. I'd recommend to anyone looking for a dog sitter that will treat their dog like their own ?”
“Chi was so lovely, warm and friendly clearly loves dogs , Lenny warmed to her straight away on arrival. She followed the instructions that I left perfectly will certainly book again . Thank you x”

“Jiahui was fantastic! Riley is a difficult dog, but she managed to become his friend very quickly. He had a great time with her. I got lots of updates, pictures, so I had a very good time as well, knowing that Riley is in such good hands. Thank you very much, Jiahui and Rover Looking forward to our next meeting!”

“Antonia arrived on time and even gave me an ETA on when she would arrive, which I thought was amazing. Our dog settled really well with her and when I got back I found my dog asleep right by Antonia’s feet, which was so lovely to see and very reassuring. She gave Treacle her medicine on time. Antonia is a very friendly lady and cared greatly for my precious girl. Thankyou so much. The only thing I would recommend would be updates of her movements during the day. It would have been nice to have a message to say she’d had her medicine ok. Other than that I can’t fault her care with this lovely lady. We would definitely book her again should I have another dog, unfortunately our girl passed away 3 days later.”

“Jen took care of our dog, Max, for a week at our home while we were on holiday, and all I can say is that Jen is brilliant! From the initial booking right through to the end of our stay, communication was fantastic. She looked after Max amazingly, and he clearly had a wonderful time with her. She stuck to his normal routine and spent lots of quality time with him, which gave us great peace of mind. Jen also took great care of our home. She was incredibly clean and tidy and left the house in a lovely condition for our return, even hoovering, washing, watering plants and taking bins out. She kept us updated every day while we were away, which was especially reassuring as we were anxious about leaving Max for the first time. We would 100% recommend Jen to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring to look after their pet and home. We will definitely be booking her again in the future. We honestly can't thank Jen enough! ❤️”

“From the moment we met Kerry we knew our dogs would be very happy whilst we were away. Kerry is so lovely and knowledgable. She treated our dogs as her own, took them on lovely walks every day and had plenty of cuddles with them in our house. Having whippets we explained their traits, like sleeping in the bed and always wanting cuddles, and Kerry was happy to oblige. This is the first time we have ever had a sitter (bar family), as our dogs are quite needy! We felt totally relaxed going abroad for a week with Kerry looking after them. We will definitely be asking Kerry again if we need a sitter. We would HIGHLY recommend Kerry to anyone needing a sitter for their fur babies. Go away and relax knowing your dogs are in the best hands and will be happy. Thanks so much Kerry. You are an absolute star!”

“Just want to say how amazing Mark and Sue are!!! They looked after our 2 dogs and cat for our Halloween wedding. As soon as meeting Mark and Sue I knew my fur babies where in the best hands. Mark and Sue go above and beyond for you while your away, keep you updated and are just the loveliest people! Would not have anyone else look after my animals. So very grateful to you both and we well definitely be using you again. Thank you again Mark and Sue 🧡😀”

We honestly couldn’t recommend Daz enough! 🐾❤️ From the moment we met, we knew Maggie & Mac were in the safest hands. He’s so caring, reliable and genuinely loves the dogs he looks after. We had regular updates and photos while we were away, which gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were happy, settled and having the best time. They absolutely adore him and get so excited to see him! 🥰 He also looked after our home so well, we came back to the house absolutely spotless, which was such a lovely surprise after travelling home. We couldn’t ask for anyone better to look after our two. Highly recommend! 🐶❤️

Cat looked after our dog and cat for 5 days and we couldn't be happier. They were so well taken care of and far more comfortable in their own home than they would have been in a kennel or cattery. Can't recommend Cat enough, will most definitely be booking her for the fur babies again!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Walsall walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Walsall choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
