About: Friendly Pet Sitter 🐱🐶 | Reliable Drop-In Visits and Dog Walker Hi! I’m a friendly, caring and reliable pet sitter based in Lichfield, and I’d love to help look after your dog or cat while you’re away. I know how important it is to have someone you trust looking after your pet, so I’ll make sure your cat gets plenty of attention and care during every visit. During a drop-in visit, I can: * Feed and refresh water * Clean litter trays * Give treats (if allowed!) * Spend time playing and giving attention * Check that your pet is happy and well * Send you photos and an update after each visit I’m happy to follow your pet's normal routine and any specific instructions you leave for me. Whether your pet is very social and loves cuddles or prefers some quiet space, I’ll respect their personality and take things at their pace. I’m particularly interested in helping local dog and cat owners who need reliable visits during holidays, weekends or busy periods. I’d love to meet you and your pet beforehand so you can feel completely comfortable with me looking after them. ’m currently in the process of starting my own business remotely, which means I have a really flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to looking after your cat. I’m able to work around their routine and spend lots of time with them, rather than being tied to a traditional 9–5 schedule. It also means I’m often able to be flexible with last-minute sits, so if you’re looking for someone at short notice, I’d be very happy to hear from you! 🐱💕 I’ll be looking after pets in their own home, which I think is one of the best ways to keep them happy and settled while their owners are away. I have plenty of experience with house sitting and caring for pets in their familiar surroundings, and I’m very comfortable taking on the responsibility of both the pet and the home. I always make an effort to understand the pet’s usual routine before the sit, including feeding, playtime, sleeping arrangements and any little habits or preferences they have. I’m happy to follow their routine as closely as possible and give them plenty of attention and companionship, while also respecting their space if they’re more independent. I’m also mindful that staying in someone’s home is a big responsibility, so I keep things clean and tidy and treat the property with the same care and respect I would my own. I’m more than happy to send regular photos and updates too, so owners can have peace of mind knowing their pets are happy, relaxed and well cared for while they’re away. 🐾💕

Very impressed with Andrew on the pre-sit visit. A very personable, caring young man. Charlie the cat was well looked after as was the house - quite spotless when we got back! Andrew tried to take photos to send to us but it appears our cat is camera shy! We are more than happy with the reasonably priced service provided and will most certainly book Andrew if we go away again. Great sitter, great service from Rover.

Lesley was really attentive to Wallace who can be, some what of an attention seeker. We had a lot of communication prior to the sit that made me feel very comfortable. Lesley also took really good care of me of our home whilst we were away. Thank you!

About: Hello, I'm Courtney, first of all thank you for stopping by to read my profile! So about me... I have around 15 years of personal experience in the care of cats and dogs from small to large. I also completed a level 3 animal management diploma at Rodbaston college and passed with a triple distinction star, one of the modules during the course was to bathe and care for dogs. I also completed a placement, during this time, at a cattery where I was responsible for feeding, cleaning and playing with the cats that were boarded there. You can be assured that your furry companion will get plenty of exercise and playtime during their time in my care. I am currently in the very early stages of self employment within the cleaning industry and therefore, have full availability at the moment. I do have the flexibility to arrange work around a schedule that suits you are your requirements. I have a fully enclosed, rear back garden and also live a stones throw away from Shortbutts park which is dog friendly so there is plenty of space for play and exercise during your pooches stay.

About: I’ve loved dogs since I was a child myself and had a dog as a kid. Since then my own parents have had other dogs which I’ve obviously loved and cared for as and when, whilst unable to have a dog of my own. Circumstances - ie work - mean I can’t commit to having my own dog full time, to my son’s dismay, but we have so much love and affection for dogs that Rover is a perfect fit for us. I’ve only ticked availability for when my son and I can live our best life and share that time with your beautiful dog. We are always out and about exploring Lichfield and living life to the fullest…and spending time with a pooch pal would complete that way of life! Full disclosure we live in a flat but is as pet friendly as flats can be. We literally live opposite Stowe Pool playing fields and like I say to my 9-year-old, we have one of the biggest gardens in Lichfield. We would love a dog to walk, to stay with us and maybe even play cricket with us!

About: I have had over 10 years experience with dogs, either as my own (we previously had a lurcher) or via apps such as this one. I recently bought my own business and am therefore able to work flexibly, allowing for dog walking and pet sitting. I have 3 boys which keep me busy but would like to spend some time with animals too. My husband Darren has previous helped me out with dog walking (he is a huge dog lover also!) however this was with the permission of the dog owner. My kids have been around the dogs if I brought them back to our house, however this again was with permission of the owner. I am happy to administer medications, give cuddles, go for walks, make sure they are fed, etc. happy to discuss individual needs and make sure the pet has what they need to be happy and healthy.

About: - I have three cats, all of which I have cared for since they were kittens. - I have over five years of cat-raising experience. - During this time, I have helped my cats through giving birth, cared for cats with feline panleukopenia, and have experience administering medication. I am a full-time housewife. Other than taking my child to school and handling daily household chores, I am available to take care of your mother and spend time keeping her company. I prefer to care for pets in my own home because I am a full-time mum and need to look after my child. However, if the job only requires feeding twice a day and cleaning the litter box, I am able to help with that.

About: I’ve loved dogs for as long as I can remember and have lots of experience caring for dogs of different ages and personalities. Growing up, I had a Yorkshire Terrier called Rosie, who was part of our family for 18 years. Having Rosie throughout her life gave me experience with everything from the energy of a younger dog to the extra patience, attention and care that senior dogs can need. I’ve also walked dogs through BorrowMyDoggy in both Sheffield and London, as well as dog sitting for friends on a number of occasions, caring for both younger and older dogs. These experiences have made me comfortable adapting to different personalities, routines and needs. I genuinely love being around dogs and enjoy everything from long walks and playtime to cuddles and keeping them company. I’ll always treat every dog with kindness, patience and plenty of affection. I currently work part-time as a play worker at St Michael’s Primary School in Lichfield, with split shifts from 7:30–9:00am and 3:00–6:00pm. This gives me plenty of flexibility during the day to fit pet care naturally into my routine, including walks, home visits, feeding and spending quality time with pets. Outside of work, I also help care for my nan, who has dementia, so being patient, dependable and caring is already a big part of my everyday life. I always aim to make pets feel safe, comfortable and cared for, whether I’m looking after them in their own home or mine. I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine, so I’ll follow any instructions you provide around feeding, walks, playtime and general care. I’m patient and attentive, and I’m happy to give pets plenty of affection and company while also respecting their space if they’re more independent or nervous. I’ll treat every pet with the same kindness and care I’d want for my own.

Antonia arrived on time and even gave me an ETA on when she would arrive, which I thought was amazing. Our dog settled really well with her and when I got back I found my dog asleep right by Antonia’s feet, which was so lovely to see and very reassuring. She gave Treacle her medicine on time. Antonia is a very friendly lady and cared greatly for my precious girl. Thankyou so much. The only thing I would recommend would be updates of her movements during the day. It would have been nice to have a message to say she’d had her medicine ok. Other than that I can’t fault her care with this lovely lady. We would definitely book her again should I have another dog, unfortunately our girl passed away 3 days later.

About: I have had dogs as pets pretty much all my life when living at home. Now that I live alone having a dog of my own wouldn’t work due to my job and working away. I would really love to still be able to look after dogs for other people and still get time with yours 😅 I currently work 2 on 4 off which means I’m away for 2 whole days sometimes 3 but back home for 4 so I have alot of free time. I live in a secure 2 bed flat but my estate has a lot of greenery where they can be out and about doing lots of walking.

About: NOTE: I am only able to confirm availability for summer bookings (June - Mid September) at the moment. Please feel free to express interest in dates outside of the summer months but understand I cannot make promises on availability. I am a qualified veterinarian who also has three years pet sitting experience. I can provide top-tier, compassionate care for your beloved pets whilst you are away. My medical background means that you can have complete peace of mind knowing you animal is in the hands of a trained professional who can competently administer medications, manage specific health needs and spot subtle changes in behaviour and well-being. Whether it is honouring daily routines, specialised medical care or simply providing love and attention, I treat every animal as if they are my own, giving you total comfort and confidence when you are on your travels. I am fairly flexible for the foreseeable future to allow for increased demand of pet sitting services over summer and due to taking a break for the veterinary industry after my recent graduation. I just want to say a heartfelt thank you to Charlotte for looking after my dog, Ronnie, this Sunday. From the very first meet and greet, Charlotte showed a great level of professionalism while still being warm and friendly, which immediately put me at ease. Ronnie definitely has a mind of his own, but Charlotte was so calm, patient, and understanding with him throughout the day. Even though it was Mother’s Day, she kindly agreed to help me out, which I truly appreciate. On what was quite a busy day, she handled Ronnie really well, keeping him calm and gently distracting him when needed. It was lovely to see how comfortable Ronnie was with Charlotte, and she clearly understood his little quirks and personality. I’m very grateful for her help and would happily book her again in the future. I’d definitely recommend her to anyone looking for someone kind and reliable to look after their pet.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of September 2026, there are 1,625 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Lichfield. Enter your postcode to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Lichfield walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Lichfield choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
