“Yat Lam was absolutely amazing 💕 she looked after my two cats for a week and they were well looked after, I got lots of updates and communication! Definitely recommend, I will definitely be rebooking in the future 🥰”

“Andrew recently looked after our Golden Doodle for a weekend doing drop in visits. Would highly recommend, he took such great care of our dog, and kept us informed and sent pictures on each visit. Will definitely be using Andrew again. Thankyou!”

“Amanda is a wonderful pet sitter. She pays huge attention to detail and goes the extra mile to make sure your babies feel comfortable and safe. We’ve been able to holiday very safe in the knowledge that our most beloved kitties are happy and being cared for. Superb service from someone who clearly adores animals.”

About: I’ve loved dogs since I was a child myself and had a dog as a kid. Since then my own parents have had other dogs which I’ve obviously loved and cared for as and when, whilst unable to have a dog of my own. Circumstances - ie work - mean I can’t commit to having my own dog full time, to my son’s dismay, but we have so much love and affection for dogs that Rover is a perfect fit for us. I’ve only ticked availability for when my son and I can live our best life and share that time with your beautiful dog. We are always out and about exploring Lichfield and living life to the fullest…and spending time with a pooch pal would complete that way of life! Full disclosure we live in a flat but is as pet friendly as flats can be. We literally live opposite Stowe Pool playing fields and like I say to my 9-year-old, we have one of the biggest gardens in Lichfield. We would love a dog to walk, to stay with us and maybe even play cricket with us!
About: I have had over 10 years experience with dogs, either as my own (we previously had a lurcher) or via apps such as this one. I recently bought my own business and am therefore able to work flexibly, allowing for dog walking and pet sitting. I have 3 boys which keep me busy but would like to spend some time with animals too. My husband Darren has previous helped me out with dog walking (he is a huge dog lover also!) however this was with the permission of the dog owner. My kids have been around the dogs if I brought them back to our house, however this again was with permission of the owner. I am happy to administer medications, give cuddles, go for walks, make sure they are fed, etc. happy to discuss individual needs and make sure the pet has what they need to be happy and healthy.

“Absolutely fantastic dog sitter/walker! Stacey was friendly, professional, patient, and genuinely cared for Luna’s health and wellbeing. Luna is a reactive dog and can take a while to warm up to new people, Stacey’s calm nature really helped Luna feel at ease and they were besties in no time! The communication from Stacey was incredible. I was kept well updated on each visit and the pictures were the cutest! Luna looked happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for every time. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Stacey to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and dependable dog sitter or walker. I have already booked for Stacey to take care of Luna again!”

About: My family and I have always had dogs! Family and friends have relied on me to look after their precious pooches numerous times. Our family home isn’t the same since losing our precious boy of 15years! We want to share our home and love of dogs with others. We live in a lovely area with lots of lovely walks and have a secure garden. I understand the anxieties you feel on leaving your precious fur baby but can guarantee your dog will be looked after as if he/she is our own. We will keep up with any routine your dog is used to and keep you updated with pictures and communication to reassure and give you peace of mind to ease any anxieties you may be feeling! We would advise you arrange a meet up at our home to ensure you feel comfortable and confident about leaving your dog in our care and more importantly to get your doggies approval! Looking forward to meeting you and your pawfect pooch for lots of love and cuddles!! I work part time hours over 3 1/2 days a week, 5 minutes away from our home. My husband Jason works from home. Our daughter Ella is a university student who is also at home. We are at home over the weekend. We have a secure garden, lots of lovely walks nearby. We will strive to keep your dog in any routine they are used to! Have previously administered animal medication. If your dog is used to being crated that’s fine, but equally happy to share the sofa and bed if that’s what they’re happy with. We aim to provide a home from home environment for your fur baby!

“Jill did a fantastic job looking after our 2 cats Blossom and Luna, even thought she didn’t actually get to see Luna all the time we were away! She sent regular updates and photos (of brave blossom!) and the kitchen looked immaculate when we got home. Not only did Jill look after the cats, but she is full of wisdom that was helpful for me too! Would definitely recommend. Thank you so much!”

About: I’ve always grown up with pets in the household and I’m now lucky enough to be the proud owner of Betty, my 2 year old Cocker Spaniel and Coba my 6 year old male Bengal. Both are great with other animals as they’ve grown up around them. I believe pets should be treated as part of the family so I will look after them like they’re my own and am happy for them to cuddle up on the sofa with me. I also live near fields and woodlands which is great for dog walks. I am currently on maternity leave, meaning I am at home full time so can be very flexible with bookings and am available evenings and weekends. I have a fenced garden and two friendly pets of my own for your fur baby to play/cuddle up with. I also live walking distance from parks, fields and woodlands that are great for dog walks. I live in a 3 bedroom house so plenty of room for boarding and doggy day care and I have a spare crate that can be used if needed as my own puppy is crate trained.

About: - I have three cats, all of which I have cared for since they were kittens. - I have over five years of cat-raising experience. - During this time, I have helped my cats through giving birth, cared for cats with feline panleukopenia, and have experience administering medication. I am a full-time housewife. Other than taking my child to school and handling daily household chores, I am available to take care of your mother and spend time keeping her company. I prefer to care for pets in my own home because I am a full-time mum and need to look after my child. However, if the job only requires feeding twice a day and cleaning the litter box, I am able to help with that.
“Absolutely wonderful service! You took exceptional care of my chonky girl and kept me reassured with daily photos and thoughtful updates. I am genuinely grateful for all you’ve done. I will most certainly be booking with you again—thank you so very much!”

“Megan was excellent. I came home to a happy cat who had been kept fed and watered! Before my holiday, Megan kept in contact to make sure details were up to date and if she needed to amend timings, she made it clear and always asked if it would work for Rory. She meant that I could visit my daughter at Christmas, and not once was I concerned about my cat. She didn’t, of course, actually get to pet him: as I predicted! 😊 Thanks Megan, I’ll be very happy for you to look after Rory next time I’m away.”

About: ** ↘️ FIRST TIME BOOKING WITH ME? ↙️ ** 💥GET £15 OFF FIRST BOOKING WITH LINK💥 🔗 https://www.rover.com/sit/matts39104 ** FULLY INSURED & DBS CHECKED ** I have always been very fond of dogs and have grown up around them and cared for them personally. My experience with dogs in the past makes me believe they are part of your family and you create a very close bond. I can cater for your dogs needs wether it be large or small, energetic or laid back/inactive. I’ve had a border collie and 2 King Charles cavaliers who sadly passed away and this service allows me to love and care for other dogs out there. The newest edition to the family is our cockapoo Beau 🐶 (now 6 years old) Anybody who is unable to walk their dog or maybe doesn’t get the time due to other commitments I hope I can help with this. You can be rest assured your dog is in good hands and guaranteed a friendly face each time I visit/take them for a walk :) With me and my wife Emma between us there isn’t a lot of times where we aren’t in the house for long periods and therefore will always have someone here 90% of the time. We are willing and can be as flexible as possible in order to suit you or work around your needs. My wife has condensed work days for childcare so works 3 evening shifts a week and one of those shifts will be either Saturday or Sundays when I’m always at home so very little time or occasions when your fur babies could actually be alone but if they were it would only be for short periods. Our son is now 4 years old and does love all the dogs that come to us but is not over bearing on them as he’s more interested in playing with his hot wheels cars or diggers! We have a lovely home in Norton canes with a fenced garden which has Astro turf grass so no muddy paws! If walking your dog I’m on the doorstep of chasewater and other smaller parks which I also love walking my own dog. You can be rest assured I will never release any dog I care for off the lead.
“Jarrad was absolutely great with our dog Nala, they met and she took to him immediately, he was friendly and professional, asking questions about what she needed and where to find things if I’d forgotten to say. Then he updated us on his visit and shared photos showing what a happy visit Nala had. When we got home she had clearly been relaxed and easy since his visit too, which was fantastic. 100% recommend.”

About: What truly sets me apart is a lifelong connection with animals—not just as a pet sitter, but as someone who’s always lived with and cared for them. From a young age, animals have been a constant part of my world. I’ve grown up alongside pets, learning their language, understanding their needs, and appreciating the trust they place in us. Today, I’m a proud pet parent to my own playful puppy and two beloved cats, so I know firsthand the joy—and the responsibility—that comes with giving animals the love and care they deserve. That daily experience adds depth to how I connect with each pet I care for, whether it’s a high-energy pup who needs an engaging walk, or a shy cat who needs patience and gentleness. I treat every pet like my own, making sure they feel safe, happy, and understood. I don’t just show up—I tune in to what your animal needs on a personal level. My clients trust me not just because I’m dependable, but because I genuinely care. Whether it’s a simple walk or extended pet sitting, your pet will be in the hands of someone who truly gets animals—because I’ve lived a lifetime with them, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Pet care isn’t just something I do—it’s what I do. I’ve chosen to make this my full-time focus because caring for animals is what I truly love. With no other job pulling me in different directions, I’m able to give my full attention to every dog walk, drop-in visit, or overnight stay. Since this is my sole priority, I can be flexible with scheduling and fully present with your pets. I build my days around their needs, whether that means early morning walks, midday play sessions, or quiet companionship in the evenings. Your pets won’t be just one of many on a busy schedule—they’ll get my time, my care, and my full attention. Because I live this every day with my own puppy and two cats, I know how important it is to have someone you can trust to treat your pets like family. That’s exactly what I aim to provide. Whether your pet stays in my home or I care for them in yours, my top priority is making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. In My Home: I provide a calm, pet-friendly space where animals can relax and feel at ease. With a playful puppy and two friendly cats of my own, your pet will have companionship and stimulation (or space to themselves if they prefer quiet). I maintain a clean, safe environment with plenty of playtime, cuddle time, outdoor breaks (for dogs), and consistency in feeding and routines. I keep stress low and happiness high. In Your Home: When caring for pets in their own space, I respect your routines and your pet’s comfort zone. I follow all instructions carefully, from feeding and walk times to medications, litter box care, and favorite toys or spots to nap. I also make sure your home is respected and kept tidy while you’re away. I take my role seriously and treat your pet—and your space—with care and attention. Whether in my home or yours, you can count on me to treat your pets like my own—with patience, love, and dependable care.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Lichfield choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm.
