“Michelle provided four drop-ins over 2 days for our 2 greyhounds - they absolutely loved her! She's very confident with the dogs, gave them lots of fuss, and made sure they had toilet breaks, water and a bit of play time. She was generous with her time, always made sure we knew when she was arriving / leaving the house, and kept us updated with lots of pictures! Thank you Michelle, we would love to have you help us with the boys again in the future!”

About: I have completed a level 3 full animal care course, this includes: pet psychology, pet nutrition, canine communication and dog walking and pet sitting diplomas. Currently I’m unemployed so your pet can get my full attention! I can do overnight stays at your home so your pet is not alone. I will ensure your pet is never alone when I am there! I will give the attention your fur baby deserves! The environment of your pet will be comforting and full of love. My priority is that your pet has their prescribed medication if they have any.
“Carl is a fantastic care giver for your pets. Taking care of the basic need of your pets while you’re away isn’t enough. He goes above and beyond making sure their environment is clean and they feel emotionally loved and comforted even at great inconvenience to himself. I cannot credit Carl enough for the peace of mind he gave my family and me while caring for our pets while we were away. Thank you Carl.”

About: I have loved dogs for as long as I can remember and have always enjoyed caring for and building bonds with them. Growing up, I regularly looked after my family’s dogs, including a Sheltie, a long-haired Poodle and a Cockapoo, giving me experience with different breeds, personalities and sizes. For over 5 years, I have also volunteered with a local Husky rescue, where I have gained hands-on experience caring for rescue dogs and helping them feel safe and comfortable. I have fostered rescue dogs and have even adopted one myself, so I understand how important patience, routine and reassurance can be, particularly for dogs who may be nervous or anxious. I have also helped with basic training, teaching rescue dogs commands such as sit and lie down, as well as helping them learn and respond to new names. I am confident working with dogs who need a little extra patience and reassurance and really enjoy getting to know each dog as an individual. Most importantly, I genuinely love spending time with dogs! Whether they are tiny, giant, energetic, nervous or just looking for a cuddle, I am happy to give them the attention, affection and care they deserve. 🐾❤️ I work as a teacher, so during term time I am generally out of the house from around 7am until 4pm on school days. However, I have much more availability at weekends and during school holidays, when I can dedicate plenty of time to caring for your dog. When I am looking after a pet, I make sure they are not left alone for long periods. Throughout the day, I am never usually away for more than around 4 hours at a time, and I can provide plenty of attention, walks, playtime and cuddles around my schedule. I am happy to discuss your dog’s individual routine and needs to make sure they feel comfortable and settled. Your dog’s safety and happiness are my priority. I understand that every dog is different, so I take the time to get to know their individual personality, routine and needs. I am especially comfortable with anxious or nervous dogs and know how important patience, reassurance and a calm environment can be. I am happy to follow your usual feeding, walking and care routines and can provide plenty of attention, playtime and cuddles. I will treat your home and your pet with the same care and respect I would want for my own, keeping you updated while you are away so you can have peace of mind.
About: I have 6 years of hands-on experience caring for pets and understand that every animal has their own personality, routine and individual needs. I have particular experience caring for cats, including shy, nervous and more independent personalities, and I’m also comfortable caring for dogs with a range of temperaments and energy levels. I’m happy with feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, toilet breaks, litter trays, grooming and giving medication where required. I’m also very happy to follow your pet’s usual routine and any specific instructions you leave. I know how important it is to feel confident that your pets are safe and happy while you’re away. I’ll take the time to make them feel comfortable, give them plenty of attention and keep you updated with photos and messages during visits. I’m reliable, responsible and respectful of your home, and I’ll treat your pets as if they were my own. I work full-time during the day, but pet care is still a big part of my daily routine. I’m available for early morning and evening visits on weekdays, and I have more flexibility on weekends and holidays. If your cat is comfortable with a consistent schedule for feeding, litter box cleaning, and attention before and after work, I’m a dependable and loving sitter who will make sure your pet feels safe and cared for while you’re away. I’ll always keep you updated with messages and photos so you know your cat is in good hands — even while I’m at work. When caring for pets in their own home, I prioritize creating a calm, stress-free environment by following their routine as closely as possible. I understand that cats thrive on consistency, so I stick to your instructions down to the smallest detail — whether it’s feeding, medication, litter box care, or playtime. Your home and your pet are treated with the utmost respect. I make sure doors and windows are secure, clean up after myself and your pet, and leave everything as I found it (or better!). I also provide regular updates with photos and notes, so you never have to wonder how your cat is doing while you’re away. Trust and reliability are everything when it comes to in-home care — I’m committed to giving you peace of mind and your pet the love and attention they deserve.

About: I’ve taken care of all kinds of animals throughout my life since I was about 10 years old, I have 4 pets myself (3 cats, 1 dog) I have great experience with large dogs, smaller breeds and cats, I have owned several German shepherds (unfortunately they passed away from old age), I now have a little Shih Tzu. Alongside with plenty of time for cuddles 🥰 I will maintain the pet’s usual feeding routine/bedtime etc as especially for little ones consistency is key! 🥰 I have a large enclosed courtyard in the middle of the house and also a field/forest as my “outdoor area” with several ponds, I live on a farm house in the countryside the outside of the premises is hedged/fenced off and secure with a main electrical gate. I play with my pets at least twice a day, I sleep with them either on the bed or next to me, I’m with them pretty much everywhere I can bring dogs to work too so mine also comes with me. I am also very experienced in caring for senior and in medical need animals, before my German shepherd (Bear) passed away for 6-7 years I had to administer injectable medication daily as he suffered from seizures.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in North Warwickshire choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm.
