Jiahui was fantastic with Bernie. Bernie can be anxious with new people, but Jiahui made her feel comfortable with strokes, treats and even bringing her own toys for Bernie to play with. Communication was great and she provided lots of photos and videos of Bernie. I couldn't recommend Jiahui more and I will definitely be booking with her again in the future :)

About: I’ve had years of hands on experience caring for dogs of all breeds and temperaments. From energetic puppies to senior dogs needing patience and care. I provide a calm loving environment tailored to each dogs needs. I am confident in administering medication, managing special diets and handling leash training or basic commands . Most importantly I treat every dog as part of the family ensuring they feel safe happy and well loved while you are away. As a recent retiree dog sitting fits seamlessly into my routine. Morning walks , meal times , play and plenty of cuddles are all part of the rhythm I enjoy. I am able to offer your dog calm attentive and consistent care throughout the day. I have a fenced back garden and gated front garden. Sadly my quiet girl Flash the greyhound passed away recently. I have an enhanced DBS. Plenty of space and no kennels . No children , one adult . Peaceful.

About: Having grown up with dogs my entire life, it’s no surprise that they’ve become such an important part of who I am. From around the age of 13, I took on the primary responsibility for caring for our family dogs, gaining hands-on experience with every stage of their lives. This has included helping to train two puppies, providing daily care, exercise and enrichment, and giving extra patience and support to older dogs in their later years. Over the years, I’ve also cared for dogs belonging to family, friends and neighbours, many of whom have trusted me to walk and look after their pets on a regular basis. I’m known for being genuine, reliable and attentive, and I always treat every dog as if they were my own. I’m currently a university student with a part-time timetable, giving me the flexibility to provide your pets with the time, attention and care they deserve. Pet care is already a regular part of my daily life, as I frequently walk my boyfriend’s dog and regularly travel home to care for my own pets. This means I can easily fit walks, drop-in visits and quality time into my routine, ensuring your pets receive reliable, loving care while you’re away. Your pet’s safety, comfort and wellbeing will always be my priority. I’m happy to adapt my care to suit each pet’s individual routine, personality and needs, whether that’s following training methods, using crates where appropriate, administering enrichment activities or providing the right level of exercise and mental stimulation. I understand how important consistency is, so I’ll always follow your instructions to ensure your pet feels safe, secure and well cared for.

About: As well as loving, feeding, and walking my own dog for 9 years, I have looked after many other people's pets. Additionally, I have dog sat from a range of a few hours, to a few days, so would love to meet and look after your pet. Currently, I am in a gap year and work at TKmaxx, so have mininal restrictions, so am free whenever you need, for however long you need. I am very keen on making sure your pet feels loved while your away, so will make sure they get all the attention they need. Also, I'm very cautious in tending to all of your pets needs, and making sure your pet's as comfortable as they can be.

About: I AM HAPPY TO DISCUSS PRICES😁 I have taken care of several different animals including dogs over the years. (Dogs being my favourite by far!) I am aware of the important responsibilities needed when taking care of animals. I owned a beautiful Pomeranian for 3 years who was my bestfriend before we had to unfortunately give him away. During that time, I helped train him and was his main carer in my family. I also worked with a dog walking company for a period of time where we would take up to 5 dogs per person on long walks through the country side and then take them back and allow time for socialisation and also washing them. I now recently own a beautiful husky puppy called Star and we are inseparable! I am not currently working at the moment so I have all the time in the world for your pets care and will be fully dedicated! This means many walks a day and plenty of attention! I will make sure to follow all house rules I am told by the owner, as I know how nerve wracking it can be having someone you just met in your home and I 100% respect that.

About: Cara has owned a husky for 8 years but we sadly lost her last year. We have 3 year old golden retriever husky Winnie. Dan has also fostered dogs for the dog’s trust for 3 years. Looked after a wide range of dogs. Including staffies, greyhounds, malinois (puppy), jack russell etc. We take great care of any dogs that we look after, we walk them and manage their interactions with other dogs safely. And we’ll provide plenty of attention and fuss. We work remotely from home and will only leave the dog to go to the gym for a short period of time if appropriate. We are not fostering at the moment as I have some travel commitments. We occasionally look after family or friend's dogs but I would make sure this does not clash. My schedule is controlled by me. I work normal hours from 9am-5pm but I can be very flexible. When I have a dog I walk first thing in the morning around 7.30am and then again at lunch or mid/late afternoon. My house has been approved by Dogs Trust Kenilworth for fostering. My garden is fully fenced in and my property is secure. I make sure that pets are given access to fresh water and fed correctly. I am also very attentive and will keep a close eye on your pet. When walking dogs I have a good understanding of safety and good control on lead. I will ensure that interactions with unfriendly dogs are avoided to the best of my ability.

About: I hold a level 4/HNC in animal care. I have had work experience looking after the puppies born at the Coventry police dogs. I have two dogs of my own a German Shepard and a Rottweiler so I am able to hold my own if a dog were to pull on their lead. I have also had work experience working at a dog walking company I have currently just finished university so looking to get more experience in the field of my studies. I am looking for other jobs so my schedule may change later on. I am hoping to start my own dog walking/boarding business so if you are looking for a long term dog walker I am the best candidate. I walk both my dogs twice a day, making sure to change my route to stimulate the dogs brain and allow them to sense new smells.

About: My family always had dogs when I was growing up and as soon as I was able to I brought my own dog home. I got Dixie when she was 8 weeks old and we had the best life together until she very sadly passed away in 2025. I lasted 6 months without a dog in the home and brought Dottie the cocker spaniel home in September '25. I’m experienced in what a dog needs (walks, toilet trips, food, fresh water, baths if necessary, affection etc) and importantly what their parents need also (to feel reassured and confident their fur baby is in good, safe hands). I feel I have a natural connection with all animals but dogs in particular and I’m honestly never happier than when I’m in the company of our four legged furry friends. Dixie was my child and was treated as such - allowed the run of the house, fed like a Queen, slept on the bed - and Dottie is recieving the same princess treatment! Any dog staying at my house or being walked / looked after by me will be treated with care, love and respect. I am available for daycare, walks and boarding Monday - Sunday and flexible when it comes to peak holiday time. My calendar is always up to date with my availability. My garden is fully enclosed and has a small lawn for potty breaks. Dog beds are available. My house is two storey and has hard wood flooring downstairs.

About: I have gained valuable hands-on experience acting as the primary caregiver for my brother’s dog. My responsibilities include house-sitting to keep the dog comfortable in his own environment, maintaining feeding routines, and ensuring he gets plenty of exercise through regular, energetic walks. I treat the home and the pet with the utmost respect and care. As a full-time Master's student, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate quality time to pet care. I am typically free and highly available on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. On those days, and outside of my primary study blocks, I can reliably commit 1 to 2 hours per day to spend with your pets, which can include walks, playtime, feeding, and focused attention. My studies often mean I am working from home, which provides additional flexibility throughout the week to check in on or spend short periods with the pets as needed. I provide dedicated pet care exclusively in the owner's home, where the pet feels safest and most comfortable. My commitment is to ensure a secure, trustworthy, and stimulating environment. I dedicate my time to being fully present, playing with the pet, and guaranteeing they receive the necessary exercise, including walks appropriate for their needs. Crucially, my care is always based on the owner's specific instructions; I will strictly adhere to all guidelines regarding feeding, medication, routines, and any special requirements, ensuring a stress-free experience for your pet.

Kathleen went above and beyond to help. One of my house cats went walkabout the weekend before I went on holiday. She was found whilst I was away and Kathleen went to pick her up for me whilst I was gone. The other cat was also really well looked after. Maybe just upset she won’t be number one cat for a while 😂. Easiest 5 stars ever!

Terrific care provided by Cassie for two shy & retiring elderly cats on complicated diets and four different watering holes who also needed medication. Nearly didn't go away because it's hard to imagine somebody else doing the job you do! Feedback and photos from each visit turned out to be really welcome & reassuring in the end, though I didn't think it important at the time of booking, as I've never had this before. Cassie worked hard on getting one of them in particular to thaw (hunt the cat was order of play at the start), in the end she was rolling on her back, allowing affection, showing how happy & relaxed she was with Cassie. A big thank you from us all. I would ask her again in future when away.

Look for sitters who highlight multi-pet expertise or check for verified reviews from other Coventry pet parents with similar pet households.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Coventry choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
