About: I had a fox red Labrador for 11 and a half years, he was a huge part of our family. He was diagnosed with epilepsy at 10 months old and I administered his medication twice a day and remained calm when he had a fit. Sadly I lost my Jasper in August 2026, he had a stroke following a fit. He was the most amazing furbaby and we all miss him dearly. I offer a loving smoke free environment to other fur babies who need someone in the daytime or board to help his/her parents out from time to time. I work Tuesday to Friday from home and Monday is my day off so I’m available all day to support any needs. I am up by 7am to receive any daycare fur babies I have a fenced off garden and there are some lovely local walks with lots of places for exploring. My home is open plan and comfortable for day visitors or overnight stays
“Lauren is amazing with Freadi. We were very happy and satisfied the way she took care of him. Her pet and Freadi got along really well. So I believe Freadi was happy too when we picked him up. We will definitely choose Lauren every time we need to leave our pug. She is great with last minute bookings as well.”

“Looked after our boy Gunner overnight. Such a lovely couple arranged a meet and greet at their home so he could familiarise himself with them and their home. He soon found a ball and was happy. Had pics sent during his stay of him chilling and on his walk. Would highly recommend and book again. Thanks so much. X”

About: I’ve always had pets from a very young age and now being an adult I’ve had two cats and a new puppy that I’ve trained from 8 weeks old. I’m new to pet sitting but I’m very capable and knowledgeable with dogs and cats from all ages. I work part time on a fairly flexible schedule and would be available Friday to Sunday most weeks. I am an early bird and would happily be able to take care of pets in the early mornings to help out with busy morning routines. I have a large garden secured with 6 foot walls, with a spacious lawn. Lots of room inside if any pets need some space to themselves and a young Whippet girl to play with.
About: Dogs have always been a major part of my life. My dad is a vet, so I grew up around dogs and learned about responsible care, behaviour and their individual needs from an early age. I have been handling and training dogs since childhood and currently own a well-trained Australian Shepherd, so I understand energetic, intelligent breeds that need plenty of physical exercise and mental stimulation. I am confident with feeding, walking, basic training and maintaining each dog’s normal routine. I treat every dog patiently and as if they were my own. I work from home on Mondays and Fridays, so I can provide attentive pet care throughout the long weekend, from Friday to Monday. Care on other days may also be possible with advance notice, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch to discuss your requirements. I have a secure, fully fenced garden and a very friendly 2.5-year-old female Australian Shepherd who can keep your dog company. Your dog can also have a separate room whenever they need some quiet time or a break from socialising. I have a large IATA-approved crate available if your dog is crate-trained and feels more comfortable using one. I will always follow your dog’s usual routine, feeding instructions and individual care requirements.
“Divya was fantastic with us and Arthur. She communicated so clearly and looked after Arthur like he was at a home away from home. I’m so grateful for her taking Arthur in so nicely. Thank you!”

“Serina was amazing! She has a genuinely caring and friendly approach and looked after my pup so well. I was updated regularly and was able to enjoy an overnight stay with piece of mind. Wouldn’t hesitate recommending her and will be booking with her again. Thank you so much!”

About: I’m experienced in looking after dogs and absolutely love them. I recently looked after a poorly dog who was recovering from surgery, whilst caring for three others. I have had a dog of my own for 9 years, a beautiful Manchester Terrier who was my world. I have good experience with different breeds. When I’m working remotely, I am able to look after them all day, taking them for walks regularly and providing regular playtime in the house and garden. I will be donating a percentage of every booking to a variety of dog charities, including the Blue Cross and Dogs Trust. I currently work remotely for the majority of the week. I am available for walks and daycare. I can offer boarding on certain days. I don’t have children. I have a nice detached house with a fenced landscaped garden, lots of toys and nice walks local to us. I live in a detached house with a large driveway, and nice garden which is fenced. I'm local to a large woodland area. I can watch them all day when I’m remote working.
“Ralph had the absolute best time with Rhys, so much so he didn’t want to leave! Ralph was very well loved and looked after and the regular texts, photos and videos really put my mind at ease. Thanks Rhys, I know Ralph will be happy to be back again soon.”

“Billy's stay with Samantha, her family and Ruby was exactly want he needed. I was very glad Billy became best buddy with Ruby during his stay and having the two dogs meet each other beforehand made this possible. I also appreciated the many updates on Billy's activities whilst I was on the other side of the world. Being a Border Collie, Billy really needs to run and fetch each day, so the daily walks in the countryside were essential.”

“Leanne was amazing I was sp worried about leaving Monty but he was right at home. I had regular updates and photos. Won't go anywhere else definitely recommend this lovely couple who made my dog feel so loved Thanks guys xxc”

“Excellent pet sitter! Lucy accepted my last minute request to take care of my boy and she was lovely, she took exceptional care of him, sent pictures and updates and overall was easy to communicate with. I definitely recommend.”

“Georgia was wonderful taking care of chumbo, she sent regular updates, whenever she had a question about chumbo, she asked, which was essential for him to feel safe, happy and at home with her.”

“Sophie and Lucas were amazing and looked after my husky Roscoe so well! I got many daily pictures and updates on how he was getting on and it looks like he had so much fun! He came home clean, tidy, happy and very tired. Would recommend!! :)”

Jess provided amazing care while looking after our Cockapoo. We received regular updates throughout his stay, which gave us great peace of mind. When he returned home, it was clear how happy and well cared for he had been. I would highly recommend Jess to anyone looking for a safe, caring, and trustworthy place for their dog to stay. Thank you, Jess. We will definitely be using your services again! 🐾
Fabian and his family took care of my 18 month old pup for a few days and were excellent from word go. Great and clear communication through out, took her for plenty of walks and kept me updated with pictures and messages. The house has a nice outdoor space and is easy to get to from many major routes. You can tell that they're all very experienced in doggo care and were very comfortable with this role. Would definitely recommend and re book myself. Many thanks again 🙏

I was so worried about leaving Holly as she has never been away from home for so long or with someone outside the family and is attached to me, but Danh and Amena made me feel confident that she would be well looked after and loved. Lots of communication while we were away and clearly Holly was having a great time playing and being fussed. They really treated her as part of the family. Would not hesitate to recommend them.

Gary looked after our greyhound Percy for 3 nights. It was the first time Percy had been away from home and he had a couple of issues while settling in but Gary took it in his stride. Due to his prey drive, Percy can be very reactive to other animals on walks and we were nervous about a sitter needing to handle this but we were reassured by Gary’s existing experience with other reactive dogs and also greyhounds. Gary gave us regular updates and sent us photos and videos of Percy enjoying walks and sleeping in his new favourite spot on the bed. We would definitely recommend Gary and will definitely be booking again with him the next time we go away!

Sophie was great with my cat and dog for a week while we went on holiday. It was the first time leaving my dog. They was both looked after very well. Had plenty of updates and photo of them both. As I don’t drive I paid the extra fee to get them both picked up and dropped off which was really worth it and made it so much easier. She only has animas from the same household at one time which is great as my dog hasn’t been done and a lot of places wouldn’t take him because of mixing with other dogs. I would use Sophie again if I needed a sitter again. I definitely recommend her.

Rover and Georgie our found sitter, was fantastic friendly always professional.they went above and beyond for Dalin who gave them concerns by not eating. Nothing was too much. We loved receiving pics and videos from them with Dalin enjoying adventures and cuddles. I 100% recommend “Rover” and Georgie till next time x

My Cocker Spaniel is full of energy and can be quite a handful at times, but Jay handled him amazingly well. He knew exactly how to keep him happy and active. I was away for a few days and had complete peace of mind knowing my dog was in such good hands. When I came back, my dog was happy, relaxed, and clearly had a great time. I couldn't be happier with the care my dog received with Jay and his family! And their dog Buddy is a blessing too.

Wow an amazing experience from start to finish. We booked our Darcie girl last minute due to pet sitting problems. Jessica was accommodating and communicated well at time of booking. Whilst we were on holiday we got daily updates and multiple photos. Jessica put me an instead constant ease that Darcie was in safe hands. We will definitely book Darcie to go back to play with her bestie Ragnar!

Ralph had a lovely stay with Jenny and Dottie this past weekend. Jenny kept us up to date and sent lots of pictures of him having a blast. Really appreciated the love and affection shown to our boy. Will definitely be using Jenny’s services again. Ralph looked like he didn’t want to come home after! 🤣 thanks again

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in West Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
