“Jaimee was fab with my boy 🐶🥰 kept me updated with how he was getting on with messages and videos. Jaimee is a genuine dog lover and showed Capone lots of love and cuddles just what he needs! Will definitely be booking in with Jamiee again.”

“Sukh is lovely and we could see how much she cared for Pip. Unfortunately Pip is now elderly and had bad anxiety on the day however Sukh managed this really well and gave us regular updates. She was also really flexible with drop off and pick up times. We would deffo use Sukh’s services again.”

“I could not be more glowing in my regards and praise for Patricia, my boy Sinbad has enjoyed the most lovely, fulfilling and cherished care while in her charge. From the moment she got involved she's been very professional while also offering a home away from home for my dog. Thank you again Patricia and hopefully you can look after young Sinbad when next we need.”

About: I had a fox red Labrador for 11 years, he was a huge part of our family. He was diagnosed with epilepsy at 10 months on and I administered his medication twice a day and remained calm when he had a fit. Unfortunately he has spent the last few months with my ex-husband and now resides with him (against my wishes) however I see him regularly and take him on walks but my home feels empty without him so i decided to fill this void and offer a loving smoke free environment to other fur babies who need someone in the daytime or board to help his/her parents out from time to time. I work Tuesday to Friday from home and Monday is my day off so I’m available all day to support any needs. I am up by 7am to receive any daycare fur babies I have a fenced off garden and there are some lovely local walks with lots of places for exploring. My home is open plan and comfortable for day visitors or overnight stays
“Becky and her family looked after Ozzie so well - he seemed to love being with them. Great communication from Becky and we are happy to leave Ozzie with her gain - thanks so much!”

“Serina was amazing! She has a genuinely caring and friendly approach and looked after my pup so well. I was updated regularly and was able to enjoy an overnight stay with piece of mind. Wouldn’t hesitate recommending her and will be booking with her again. Thank you so much!”

“Lewis was understanding and flexible, looking after my 4yo Doodle whilst I undertook a last-minute work assignment. Lewis and his partner were very warm and accommodating, and sent me picture/video updates. Bear slept like a log after collection, clearly enjoyed playing with Lewis' dogs & puppies!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since j was around 12 years old. I’ve looked after from the size of a bichon fries to a German Shepard. So have had my fair share of different sized animals I don’t work as I’m a full time mum so u can expect me to be with ur dogs 24/7. They’re allowed to be on my bed with me. They can come in my car. They can come park and have a massive field to run around in I have a fenced flat garden that the dogs can run around in to go toilet. Or even just to play. I have a huge field near mine where dogs can run and play with balls etc
“I would highly recommend Romina. My 9 year old Maltese (Casper) had a great time over the 2 days he stayed at her home this week. Romina is so attentive and affectionate. This has really helped Casper to be more prepared and comfortable for when he'll stay with Romina and her mum when we go on holiday in March 🙌✨️😊”

“Leanne and her family are clearly great dog-lovers. They took in my little chap for two nights at short notice and he settled in so well with them. I got lots of regular feedback and had nothing at all to worry about. He was right at home at Leanne’s safe, secure and loving home. I think he is missing his home away from home now. Highly recommend!”

“Georgia looked after Cali overnight and I honestly couldn’t have felt more comfortable leaving her. I’m very fussy about who I trust with Cali as she’s my baby, and I only want the best for her. We arranged a meet and greet a couple of days beforehand, and Georgia even took the time to show me around her home (which she didn’t have to do), just to help me feel at ease and show me where Cali would be sleeping. While Cali was with her, Georgia sent plenty of photos and updates, which really reassured me. Cali came home happy and settled, which says everything. I’ll definitely be using Georgia again. Thank you so much again!”

“Ellie and her family were amazing, Marley obviously felt really comfortable with them and settled in really quickly and put me at ease right away. I would 1000% use and recommend Ellie xx”

“Divya was fantastic with us and Arthur. She communicated so clearly and looked after Arthur like he was at a home away from home. I’m so grateful for her taking Arthur in so nicely. Thank you!”

“If there was 10 stars Jackie deserves that and more Ralph has THE BEST time with you! A Beautiful lady inside and out and her love for dogs is so lovely couldn’t recommend enough communication is 100% from drop off to pick up Thank you for having him again x”

“Sophie an Luca were the best with our baby Button. My husband was nervous leaving his pride and joy, they treated Button like family with plenty of snuggles, treats and meals. Will defo use again. Thank you ❤️❤️”

“Daniel was amazing with our puppy Annie...he and his partner provide a loving, caring and comfy home while in their care. It was lovely to receive regular updates on how well she was doing for my reassurance. I highly recommend Dan's services for taking care of your four-legged loved one!”

About: I used to have a Labrador retriever also. If you have middle sized dog and can’t find any pet sitter in the area, please contact me. I am currently working full-time, so I will have plenty of time to play with your dog in weekends. I am available for boarding at weekends, and for dog walking after/around 5:30pm if it is local. I may consider weekday boarding also if must, but I need to get to know your dog first to be sure. I have a fenced garden and a very friendly small dog (Shih Tzu cross, 5 years old girl) who would love to play with your dog. I will make sure to be at home when you drop off your dog after 17:30pm on Fridays, and the same time for Saturdays although this can be negotiable especially for Saturdays.
“We had a fabulous experience with Katie! we boarded our 4month-old westie puppy girl with Katie for 3nights, from pre-met you’ll get the sense that they love dogs, they went above and beyond for both lemon and us, including pick up and drop offs, daily pictures, videos and frequent updates. We’ll definitely be using Katie again for peace of mind and great care.”

“I can highly rate the whole experience with Bethany. She was quick to communicate, and asked the right questions to give me reassurance. Jasper stayed with her for 24 hours and took to her and her partner straight away. They are obviously doggie people! Beth sent me pup-dates throughout and Jasper looked really happy. When I picked him up, he went back into the house, almost as if he wanted to stay longer. I'd book in again with no hesitation. Thank you very much 😊”

Dog owners share their Rover experiences - Coventry
My Cocker Spaniel is full of energy and can be quite a handful at times, but Jay handled him amazingly well. He knew exactly how to keep him happy and active. I was away for a few days and had complete peace of mind knowing my dog was in such good hands. When I came back, my dog was happy, relaxed, and clearly had a great time. I couldn't be happier with the care my dog received with Jay and his family! And their dog Buddy is a blessing too.

Wow an amazing experience from start to finish. We booked our Darcie girl last minute due to pet sitting problems. Jessica was accommodating and communicated well at time of booking. Whilst we were on holiday we got daily updates and multiple photos. Jessica put me an instead constant ease that Darcie was in safe hands. We will definitely book Darcie to go back to play with her bestie Ragnar!

Ralph had a lovely stay with Jenny and Dottie this past weekend. Jenny kept us up to date and sent lots of pictures of him having a blast. Really appreciated the love and affection shown to our boy. Will definitely be using Jenny’s services again. Ralph looked like he didn’t want to come home after! 🤣 thanks again

My 2 Westies age 10 and 15 years have recently stayed with Katie for the first time and I highly recommend her. She is very friendly and professional and sent daily updates and photos of my dogs having a good time either out walking or relaxing on the sofa. Katie’s dog, Ralphie, is very friendly and the dogs all got on well together. Thank you Katie

You will never get anyone better than Patricia she is the nicest person I've met and cares so much for my dog she really really takes care of her and I would never want to leave her with anyone else I found it amazing the contact she had with me while on holiday to with pictures and videos ect thankyou so much for all you do and I will see you soon xx

We could not be more grateful to Sophie and Luca for looking after our old frenchie. It was like a home from home for her. We have never left her with anyone before and she has massive trust and separation issues, but Sophie looked after her so well - I would not even consider leaving her with anyone else. Sophie sent us regular updates which we really appreciated too.

This is the first time we have left Dora with someone away from her home so we were very apprehensive. Dora is our beautiful, feisty Staffy so it was very important that she stayed with someone who understands the breed. From the first few messages with Gary, it was clear he had experience and knowledge about dogs and Staffy's. The first time we met Gary, Dora immediately took to him and Gary's love of dogs was very clear. He took us to his local dog walking area. and we talked about Dora's routine and personality. Following this we felt assured that Gary and Dora would get on well together so booked a trial two night stopover. We still felt nervous when we dropped her off but within 10 minutes we had a picture of Dora looking very much at home. Gary continued to stay in touch and update us about how she was doing along with regular pictures - this was so reassuring for us. We really feel that Dora was meant to meet Gary because they got along so well together. I would not hesitate in recommending Gary, he is open, honest and friendly and really has a special way with Dora (& other dogs I'm sure). We now know that she will be happy and well loved whenever she stays with Gary for a longer period of time. We feel very fortunate to find such a special person for our special pooch - thank you so much Gary.

We are so grateful for Isabel, who came through for us on an extremely last-minute getaway. She responded quickly and took the time to truly understand the needs of our furbaby before his stay, which immediately put us at ease. Throughout his time with her, we received videos showing just how comfortable, happy, and well cared for he was—it was clear he was having a fantastic time. Knowing our furbaby was in such attentive and loving hands gave us complete peace of mind. We wouldn’t hesitate to trust Isabel again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter.

Finding the right boarding environment is all about peace of mind. Boarding with a sitter on Rover helps you find a cosy experience in a real home for your dog.
When searching for a host, look for a sitter who:
- Offers a secure, home-like environment that is clean and welcoming

- Possesses relevant experience with your pet’s specific breed, size, and personality
- Maintains clear communication regarding the frequency of photo and message updates
Don’t skip the Meet & Greet! The free Meet & Greet is the best way to see where your dog will sleep and who they might play with.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in West Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
