“I booked Jiahui for house sitting with Cookie, and she was absolutely brilliant. She came over for a meet & greet beforehand, which immediately made me feel at ease and confident leaving Cookie with her. While I was away, she kept me updated regularly with photos of Cookie looking happy and relaxed. She followed all the care instructions perfectly, including feeding times, walks, and everything else. When I came home, Cookie was clearly well cared for, and the house was spotless — which honestly says it all. Jiahui is clearly very experienced with dogs and extremely responsible. Communication was smooth throughout, and I felt completely comfortable knowing Cookie was in good hands. I would definitely book her again.”

“Our three dogs are very attached to the family, and certainly would not manage well in strange kennels while we go away on holiday. We have just returned from a holiday and have used Rover and a house sitter for the first time. Sienna was a completely brilliant dog sitter. To begin with she communicated quickly and clearly. Two of our dogs are rather large and keen to welcome people enthusiastically, and so the meet and great was important to make sure that they were not too intimidating. Sienna took all of that in her stride, and clearly got on extremely well with the dogs during the house sitting, as evidenced by the pictures of cuddles, eating and walks that she sent us during the stay. The dogs greeted us on our return as though we had only been away for a few hours rather then 12 days. It is clear that the dogs and house were extremely well cared for by Sienna and we will feel totally relaxed when we are away on our next holiday if we have Sienna back to house sit.”
“Amazing experience with Nicolas. He took such a good care of Mila, she just loved him. We are definitely going to book with him again. He was punctual, and follow all of Mila's routines. We are so pleased! 100% recommend 👌”

“Yee Lam and her partner stayed for a week with our nervous dog and was absolutely wonderful to him. Sent daily updates of photos and videos and we came back to an immaculately tidy house. Would absolutely book again in the future.”

“Absolutely recommend without hesitation. Stayed with my dog Ronnie for a week in my home. Kept me up to date with photos. Several of which were Ron getting her much loved belly rubs. Ron loved her and was very well taken care of. Millie also left my house spotless. Excellent service will be booking again if she’s available.”

About: I’ve had years of hands on experience caring for dogs of all breeds and temperaments. From energetic puppies to senior dogs needing patience and care. I provide a calm loving environment tailored to each dogs needs. I am confident in administering medication, managing special diets and handling leash training or basic commands . Most importantly I treat every dog as part of the family ensuring they feel safe happy and well loved while you are away. As a recent retiree dog sitting fits seamlessly into my routine. Morning walks , meal times , play and plenty of cuddles are all part of the rhythm I enjoy. I am able to offer your dog calm attentive and consistent care throughout the day. I have a fenced back garden and gated front garden. Sadly my quiet girl Flash the greyhound passed away recently. I have an enhanced DBS. Plenty of space and no kennels . No children , one adult . Peaceful.
About: I have taken care of multiple different animals in the past, with cats being my favourite. I had a cat for almost 17 years growing up with him, throughout these years I learned how to care and give attention for all ages. I also took care of friends pets whilst staying at their homes from puppies and kittens to older dogs and cats. As a student at university I am typically free in the afternoon, Wednesdays and weekends. These times I can give care, walks and attention to any pets. Due to my studies I am working from home allowing me to watch the pets whilst working. I will follow all rules set by the home owners, as I do understand how stressing it can be to have another person living in your home. I will also try and make it a comfortable and stress free environment for the pets.

About: I am a caring and responsible university student with hands-on experience taking care of dogs. I have my own dog who is 5 years old, and I have cared for her from a young age. I also helped care for her puppies after pregnancy, including feeding, cleaning, and giving them attention and comfort. In addition, I have looked after my friends’ dogs while they were away on trips. I genuinely love animals and enjoy making pets feel safe, happy, and cared for 🐶💛. I’m currently on vacation from university until September, so I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of free time to care for pets. I’m available on both weekdays and weekends, and I’m happy to spend quality time feeding, playing with, and caring for pets to make sure they feel safe and comfortable. I always make sure pets are safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I’m gentle, patient, and responsible with animals. I have experience taking care of my own dog and cat, including caring for puppies, and I also help look after friends’ pets when they are away. I carefully follow owners’ instructions and always try to create a calm and loving environment for pets.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since j was around 12 years old. I’ve looked after from the size of a bichon fries to a German Shepard. So have had my fair share of different sized animals I don’t work as I’m a full time mum so u can expect me to be with ur dogs 24/7. They’re allowed to be on my bed with me. They can come in my car. They can come park and have a massive field to run around in I have a fenced flat garden that the dogs can run around in to go toilet. Or even just to play. I have a huge field near mine where dogs can run and play with balls etc

About: I have been caring for dogs since I was a child, as my family has always had dogs at home. My most meaningful experience is with my Yorkshire Terrier, whom I have raised since she was born. She is now 18 years old, so I have extensive experience caring for senior dogs with patience and attention to their needs. I am responsible for preparing her meals daily, taking her on walks, and spending quality time playing with her. In addition, I have cared for a medium-sized mixed-breed dog that we rescued after an accident. I have been looking after him for over 7 years, including supporting his recovery and ongoing care. These experiences have made me a responsible, attentive, and compassionate pet sitter who truly understands different needs—from young dogs to senior pets. I am a master’s student in Coventry, so I have a flexible schedule. During term breaks, I am available most of the day and throughout the week. In term time, my availability depends on my class schedule, but I can still be flexible and plan pet care around my studies. I can care for pets in their home by spending time with them, feeding them, and playing to keep them happy and comfortable. I usually stay with my own dog at home, so I’m used to being around pets and making sure they feel safe and relaxed.

About: Having grown up with dogs my entire life, it’s no surprise that they’ve become such an important part of who I am. From around the age of 13, I took on the primary responsibility for caring for our family dogs, gaining hands-on experience with every stage of their lives. This has included helping to train two puppies, providing daily care, exercise and enrichment, and giving extra patience and support to older dogs in their later years. Over the years, I’ve also cared for dogs belonging to family, friends and neighbours, many of whom have trusted me to walk and look after their pets on a regular basis. I’m known for being genuine, reliable and attentive, and I always treat every dog as if they were my own. I’m currently a university student with a part-time timetable, giving me the flexibility to provide your pets with the time, attention and care they deserve. Pet care is already a regular part of my daily life, as I frequently walk my boyfriend’s dog and regularly travel home to care for my own pets. This means I can easily fit walks, drop-in visits and quality time into my routine, ensuring your pets receive reliable, loving care while you’re away. Your pet’s safety, comfort and wellbeing will always be my priority. I’m happy to adapt my care to suit each pet’s individual routine, personality and needs, whether that’s following training methods, using crates where appropriate, administering enrichment activities or providing the right level of exercise and mental stimulation. I understand how important consistency is, so I’ll always follow your instructions to ensure your pet feels safe, secure and well cared for.
About: I grew up with a sweet little dog and a bunny, so caring for animals has always been a natural part of my life. 🐶🐇 From feeding, walking, and playtime to making sure they felt safe and loved, I gained lots of hands-on experience from an early age. Over the years, I’ve continued to learn and improve, and now I’m always exploring professional ways to care for different kinds of animals. What sets me apart is my calm, patient personality and strong sense of responsibility — I always put pets’ comfort, happiness, and safety first. As a university student with a flexible schedule, I have plenty of time to dedicate to pet care during the day and on weekends. I love being active and outdoors, so dog walks and playtime fit perfectly into my daily routine. Whether it’s morning, afternoon, or evening, I can adjust to your pet’s needs and make sure they feel cared for at all times. I treat every pet as if they were my own, and every home as if it were mine. I carefully follow each pet’s usual routine — feeding times, walks, playtime, and any special instructions — so they feel safe and comfortable. For shy pets, I give them space and patience; for affectionate ones, I provide all the cuddles and attention they want. I also keep everything clean and tidy, and I love sending regular updates and photos so owners can feel reassured that their pets are happy and well looked after.
“Wonderful from initial booking conversation to end of stay. Loved the organised questions to understand Clements routine. Meet and Greet, where both dealt with large hound energy so well. Throughout the stay lovely updates and photos so we knew all was well with our fur baby. Highly recommend. Very professional”

“Sophie and her partner Luca looked after our 9 year old Jack Russell cross over a weekend. They were kind enough to send us lots of photos whilst we were away and also very accommodating when we got back late due to traffic. Highly recommended.”

“We needed someone to stay overnight and look after our 4 month old puppy while we went away to a wedding, and Amy was a great dog sitter and happy to take on the task at relatively short notice. She was very attentive to Lizzie’s needs and sent us photos and updates regularly. We’re happy to book her again, and thanks Amy for taking care of Lizzie for us!”

Pet owners share their Rover experiences - Coventry
Jiahui was fantastic! Riley is a difficult dog, but she managed to become his friend very quickly. He had a great time with her. I got lots of updates, pictures, so I had a very good time as well, knowing that Riley is in such good hands. Thank you very much, Jiahui and Rover Looking forward to our next meeting!

Sienna coped very well with my Lurchers. I had never left them before with someone they did not know and the younger dog is sensitive. The other dog is 15yrs old and needs extra TLC. On my return everything was in good order and I found both dogs in good spirits. I was very happy with the care Sienna had given and will use her again in the future.
Cannot thank Dobe and Kyle enough for looking after Moose. They took such good care of him and sent us loads of updates. They took him for plenty of toilet breaks and a long walk each day. Moose really enjoyed his time and we felt very at ease leaving him with them. Can highly recommend Dobe and Kyle!

Absolutely recommend without hesitation. Stayed with my dog Ronnie for a week in my home. Kept me up to date with photos. Several of which were Ron getting her much loved belly rubs. Ron loved her and was very well taken care of. Millie also left my house spotless. Excellent service will be booking again if she’s available.

Adam is absolutely brilliant. We have been able to leave Winnie with him again and know that she is completely safe being looked after as one of his own.. Adam is reliable punctual communicates regularly and has a genuine Love of animals. I would highly recommend- thank you Adam. 👍

From the moment Tim walked through the door we were totally put at ease. He was confident, professional, polite and very friendly, he certainly made a fantastic first impression You could tell straightaway that he was a very animal friendly person and had great knowledge and passion about dogs. I suffer with terrible anxiety and felt quite relaxed about leaving my babies behind. During our time away we were kept updated on the welfare and behaviour of our dogs. With pictures, videos and messages. It was great to see that Gabbi had resumed her natural position of laying in Tims arms like a baby, she couldn’t have been more relaxed. Our pair certainly had a fabulous time and they had all the love care and attention that they are used to. Please come back any time, Tim We luffs you Gabbi and Billi xx

I liked Nadia from the moment we met, she asked all the right questions and was genuinely interested in learning about the needs of both my cat and dog. Nadia stayed from Christmas eve until Boxing day, she gave me regular updates on how my pets were doing. The house was clean and tidy when I returned home and when I checked on the home camera, she was always interacting with my pets, she was a lovely girl and a wonderful pet sitter, I will definitely be booking Nadia again. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone else.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Coventry walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Coventry choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
