“Jiahui was fantastic! Riley is a difficult dog, but she managed to become his friend very quickly. He had a great time with her. I got lots of updates, pictures, so I had a very good time as well, knowing that Riley is in such good hands. Thank you very much, Jiahui and Rover Looking forward to our next meeting!”

“Caitlin was absolutely amazing! She responded to my request at very short notice and was so accommodating and helpful throughout. While looking after Frankie, she kept me updated with regular messages and photos, which really put my mind at ease and allowed me to enjoy my time away knowing he was in such good hands. It was clear that she genuinely cared for him and looked after him so well. She also left my home absolutely spotless, which I really appreciated. I honestly couldn’t have asked for better care for Frankie and would highly recommend Caitlin to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring and reliable dog sitter. I will definitely be using her services again in the future. Thank you so much, Caitlin! 🐾❤️”

About: I have extensive experience caring for dogs and cats of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I’m comfortable with everything from high-energy pups and playful kittens to senior pets requiring special attention and gentle care, I treat every animal like my own. I prioritise safety, consistency, and building trust with every animal I look after. My care routine includes daily walks, feeding, and providing plenty of playtime and affection. I’m currently working part time and my shifts changes weekly. However, I am mostly available on weekdays and one day on weekends. On bank holidays I have more shifts As I have a cat in my house, the best option for me is at owner’s home. I don’t want to cause inconvenience for your fur babies in my house with a cat.
“Absolutely recommend without hesitation. Stayed with my dog Ronnie for a week in my home. Kept me up to date with photos. Several of which were Ron getting her much loved belly rubs. Ron loved her and was very well taken care of. Millie also left my house spotless. Excellent service will be booking again if she’s available.”

About: I have taken care of multiple different animals in the past, with cats being my favourite. I had a cat for almost 17 years growing up with him, throughout these years I learned how to care and give attention for all ages. I also took care of friends pets whilst staying at their homes from puppies and kittens to older dogs and cats. As a student at university I am typically free in the afternoon, Wednesdays and weekends. These times I can give care, walks and attention to any pets. Due to my studies I am working from home allowing me to watch the pets whilst working. I will follow all rules set by the home owners, as I do understand how stressing it can be to have another person living in your home. I will also try and make it a comfortable and stress free environment for the pets.
“Thank you so much KaYan and Alex! Tilly and Max had a great time with you 😊 highly recommend KaYan and Alex - very communicative and made sure the dogs were well cared for while we were away.”

“Rosie was fantastic; she took great care of our dog and our cat. She kept us updated with how they were doing, sent photos, and even left a little gift for our dog at the end of her stay. We will definitely be booking her again!”

About: I grew up with all kinds of pets; dogs, cats and small animals, and I adore them all. My first pet (that I was completely responsible for) I had when I was eight years old. I have experience with animals of all different ages, training my own dog (a rescue) at the age of ten and interacting with many other animals with different personalities and abilities! I don't believe anything is too excessive when it comes to pets, and always do my best to do my best to keep them happy, making necessary adjustments for animals who may need extra supervision or help. I am available most days to look after your animals! I do not work, but need time to commute and preferably plan routes for walks so I can offer your pet the most enrichment possible! I will ask all kinds of questions about your animal before I agree to take care of them, to make sure I am a good fit for your animal and can provide them with everything they need (and more!) while they're in my care.
“Cannot thank Dobe and Kyle enough for looking after Moose. They took such good care of him and sent us loads of updates. They took him for plenty of toilet breaks and a long walk each day. Moose really enjoyed his time and we felt very at ease leaving him with them. Can highly recommend Dobe and Kyle!”

“Sophie and Luca were AMAZING! Not only did I feel super comfortable with them both, but most importantly, Dolores did too. Sophie and Luca stayed for the weekend and kept me up to date with lots of photos and updates, and I returned to a very happy and relaxed cat and a super tidy and considered home. I would book them again and again! Thank you so much, S&L! x”

“Couldn’t recommend Amy high enough! As soon as we met her we felt totally at ease leaving Milo with her, and he clearly loved her too. Once we were away we felt relaxed knowing he was in safe hands and loved that Amy would send us daily updates and photos of what they’d been up to.”

So sweet and kind. Came to meet us beforehand and came early on the day as it was my first day back at work leaving my puppy. Could not recommend more highly - gave me photo and text updates. Nyla didn't even bother to greet me when I got back she was so content sleeping on Yasen!

Jiahui has been absolutely fantastic taking care of our two dogs and cat while we were away. The animals loved her and she kept us up to date throughout with regular pictures and messages. We would definitely have her back and wouldn't hesitate to recommend her.

As always Allanagh gave us complete peace of mind whilst we were on holiday. It’s the longest we have left our beloved Chi & he was looked after as we would look after him ourselves. Regular updates & photos helped ease any anxieties I had. Allanagh is a star sitter & our Chi adores her ! 💫

Karolina took good care of my cat and house. My cat was clearly very comfortable with her and she sent regular updates. Karolina let me know when she was called in for a shift at her job which enabled me to adjust the time on my cat's auto-feeder if needed. I came home to a clean house and happy cat.
Amazing. Yee lam has been amazing. Her and her partner came to stay at our house for 3 nights and have been updating us worth picture of the dog several times a day. Yee lam was very confident and knowledgeable. I was totally at ease leading her and my occasionally difficult dog together
Adam is absolutely brilliant. We have been able to leave Winnie with him again and know that she is completely safe being looked after as one of his own.. Adam is reliable punctual communicates regularly and has a genuine Love of animals. I would highly recommend- thank you Adam. 👍

From the moment Tim walked through the door we were totally put at ease. He was confident, professional, polite and very friendly, he certainly made a fantastic first impression You could tell straightaway that he was a very animal friendly person and had great knowledge and passion about dogs. I suffer with terrible anxiety and felt quite relaxed about leaving my babies behind. During our time away we were kept updated on the welfare and behaviour of our dogs. With pictures, videos and messages. It was great to see that Gabbi had resumed her natural position of laying in Tims arms like a baby, she couldn’t have been more relaxed. Our pair certainly had a fabulous time and they had all the love care and attention that they are used to. Please come back any time, Tim We luffs you Gabbi and Billi xx

I liked Nadia from the moment we met, she asked all the right questions and was genuinely interested in learning about the needs of both my cat and dog. Nadia stayed from Christmas eve until Boxing day, she gave me regular updates on how my pets were doing. The house was clean and tidy when I returned home and when I checked on the home camera, she was always interacting with my pets, she was a lovely girl and a wonderful pet sitter, I will definitely be booking Nadia again. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone else.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Coventry walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Coventry choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
