“Cassie has been the perfect sitter for our cavapoo Mabel while we were on a weeks holiday . She took great care of our nervous 4 year old doggy and went out of her way to get to know her routine and habits. It was the first time I’ve used an in house sitter and will certainly be using Cassie again . On top of the perfect care given to Mabel our home was spotless on our return and we even had a much needed cup of tea waiting for us ❤️”

“Our three dogs are very attached to the family, and certainly would not manage well in strange kennels while we go away on holiday. We have just returned from a holiday and have used Rover and a house sitter for the first time. Sienna was a completely brilliant dog sitter. To begin with she communicated quickly and clearly. Two of our dogs are rather large and keen to welcome people enthusiastically, and so the meet and great was important to make sure that they were not too intimidating. Sienna took all of that in her stride, and clearly got on extremely well with the dogs during the house sitting, as evidenced by the pictures of cuddles, eating and walks that she sent us during the stay. The dogs greeted us on our return as though we had only been away for a few hours rather then 12 days. It is clear that the dogs and house were extremely well cared for by Sienna and we will feel totally relaxed when we are away on our next holiday if we have Sienna back to house sit.”

About: I have taken care of multiple different animals in the past, with cats being my favourite. I had a cat for almost 17 years growing up with him, throughout these years I learned how to care and give attention for all ages. I also took care of friends pets whilst staying at their homes from puppies and kittens to older dogs and cats. As a student at university I am typically free in the afternoon, Wednesdays and weekends. These times I can give care, walks and attention to any pets. Due to my studies I am working from home allowing me to watch the pets whilst working. I will follow all rules set by the home owners, as I do understand how stressing it can be to have another person living in your home. I will also try and make it a comfortable and stress free environment for the pets.
“We recently had Yee and Kyle look after Poppy and couldn’t be happier. From the moment they came for a visit beforehand, which meant a lot, as it was our first time working with them, we instantly felt at ease. Poppy approved too, she wouldn’t leave their side and kept cuddling up to them asking for pets! They were warm and attentive with her and we felt comfortable leaving Poppy in their care. Throughout the evening they sent photos and videos. Poppy looked relaxed, happy, and right at home. It just helped ease nerves and we’re grateful to have found such lovely new pet sitters for Poppy in this new city. Highly recommended!”

“Shernai was awesome!!! She answered every question I had before the booking (and I asked a LOT). She was polite, professional but personable too. With constant updates, photos, quick responses whilst I was away and just being open and honest… it was so stress free. Finally, I came back to my house exactly how I left it and the dogs were happy. Would massively recommend and will be booking again and again. :)”
“Amazing experience with Nicolas. He took such a good care of Mila, she just loved him. We are definitely going to book with him again. He was punctual, and follow all of Mila's routines. We are so pleased! 100% recommend 👌”

“Oh Kayan & Alex were fantastic. This was my first time using a service like this and they really put my mind at ease and allowed me to enjoy my holiday. I’m very particular, and despite this they were respectful of my home, my cat’s space and needs etc. They had great communication, and so patient throughout. True professionals. I would definitely book them again.”

“It’s been a pleasure having Millie look after our nervous cavapoo Mabel. Millie took the time to get to know Mabel’s routine , likes & dislikes , feeding habits and was happy to give Mabel the medication she needed whilst we were away . We received daily updates and photos of Mabel so we could see how settled she was which we looked forward to receiving . To have Millie stay in our home also gave us peace of mind that we hadn’t left an empty house and Millie also looked after our garden watering our plants as required . I can’t recommend Millie enough , she is kind and thoughtful and looked after Mabel as if she was her own . We’ll definitely be booking her again ❤️”

“Our dog, Pip, had a fab time with Nichola and her son. She was clearly treated like a member of the family and had a wonderful time going out about about. We had lots of photos, videos and messages which meant any worries about the dog were quickly put to rest. Pip also adored Nicholas's garden (with particular emphasis on dive bombing one poor bush 😂). But nothing was a problem and Nichola is clearly very experienced with dogs and caring for them. We would absolutely book Pip in again!”

Allanagh was so amazing with Tilly. She sent us updates and pictures during our trip and we could tell Tilly was really happy. Once we got home and Tilly had calmed down from the excitement and Allanagh had left, Tilly was looking for her by the front door, so we could tell she really loved her. Would totally recommend Allanagh!

Absolutely recommend without hesitation. Stayed with my dog Ronnie for a week in my home. Kept me up to date with photos. Several of which were Ron getting her much loved belly rubs. Ron loved her and was very well taken care of. Millie also left my house spotless. Excellent service will be booking again if she’s available.

Sienna took such good care of our dogs that they seemed almost disappointed that we had returned home and Sienna had gone away. With previous dogs we found that leaving them in kennels made them very sad and depressed. Sienna certainly made sure that our dogs were happy and well cared for throughout the stay.
Adam is absolutely brilliant. We have been able to leave Winnie with him again and know that she is completely safe being looked after as one of his own.. Adam is reliable punctual communicates regularly and has a genuine Love of animals. I would highly recommend- thank you Adam. 👍

From the moment Tim walked through the door we were totally put at ease. He was confident, professional, polite and very friendly, he certainly made a fantastic first impression You could tell straightaway that he was a very animal friendly person and had great knowledge and passion about dogs. I suffer with terrible anxiety and felt quite relaxed about leaving my babies behind. During our time away we were kept updated on the welfare and behaviour of our dogs. With pictures, videos and messages. It was great to see that Gabbi had resumed her natural position of laying in Tims arms like a baby, she couldn’t have been more relaxed. Our pair certainly had a fabulous time and they had all the love care and attention that they are used to. Please come back any time, Tim We luffs you Gabbi and Billi xx

I liked Nadia from the moment we met, she asked all the right questions and was genuinely interested in learning about the needs of both my cat and dog. Nadia stayed from Christmas eve until Boxing day, she gave me regular updates on how my pets were doing. The house was clean and tidy when I returned home and when I checked on the home camera, she was always interacting with my pets, she was a lovely girl and a wonderful pet sitter, I will definitely be booking Nadia again. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone else.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Coventry walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Coventry choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
