“Sammie was brilliant with our anxious / clingy pup and kept us updated throughout the 2 days with cute pics of him having a brill time with her. Great comms and great pup sitter ☺️”

“Lesley was really attentive to Wallace who can be, some what of an attention seeker. We had a lot of communication prior to the sit that made me feel very comfortable. Lesley also took really good care of me of our home whilst we were away. Thank you!”

“Phenomenal. Michelle looked after Clement whilst my husband and I were away, and honestly we couldn’t have asked for more. She kept us updated with all of Clement’s adventures and didn’t just follow the handover notes — she genuinely understood him and what we wanted for him. Whether it was stimulating walks making new doggo friends, cuddles in bed, snores on the sofa, or even sneaking treats off the postie, Michelle listened, observed, and gave Clement the absolute best experience. It was so clear he was not only well cared for, but properly loved. Knowing Clement was happy and settled completely made our holiday. We would trust Michelle again in a heartbeat.”

“Our first time using Emily’s service, lovely lady. Rosie took to her instantly & we were vey comfortable leaving Emily in charge of Rosie and the house. Rosie was very happy to stay with her & enjoyed lots of cuddles & walks. Rosie is looking forward to seeing Emily again soon when we head off for our main holiday. Would highly recommend.”

About: Friendly Pet Sitter 🐱🐶 | Reliable Drop-In Visits and Dog Walker Hi! I’m a friendly, caring and reliable pet sitter based in Lichfield, and I’d love to help look after your dog or cat while you’re away. I know how important it is to have someone you trust looking after your pet, so I’ll make sure your cat gets plenty of attention and care during every visit. During a drop-in visit, I can: * Feed and refresh water * Clean litter trays * Give treats (if allowed!) * Spend time playing and giving attention * Check that your pet is happy and well * Send you photos and an update after each visit I’m happy to follow your pet's normal routine and any specific instructions you leave for me. Whether your pet is very social and loves cuddles or prefers some quiet space, I’ll respect their personality and take things at their pace. I’m particularly interested in helping local dog and cat owners who need reliable visits during holidays, weekends or busy periods. I’d love to meet you and your pet beforehand so you can feel completely comfortable with me looking after them. ’m currently in the process of starting my own business remotely, which means I have a really flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to looking after your cat. I’m able to work around their routine and spend lots of time with them, rather than being tied to a traditional 9–5 schedule. It also means I’m often able to be flexible with last-minute sits, so if you’re looking for someone at short notice, I’d be very happy to hear from you! 🐱💕 I’ll be looking after pets in their own home, which I think is one of the best ways to keep them happy and settled while their owners are away. I have plenty of experience with house sitting and caring for pets in their familiar surroundings, and I’m very comfortable taking on the responsibility of both the pet and the home. I always make an effort to understand the pet’s usual routine before the sit, including feeding, playtime, sleeping arrangements and any little habits or preferences they have. I’m happy to follow their routine as closely as possible and give them plenty of attention and companionship, while also respecting their space if they’re more independent. I’m also mindful that staying in someone’s home is a big responsibility, so I keep things clean and tidy and treat the property with the same care and respect I would my own. I’m more than happy to send regular photos and updates too, so owners can have peace of mind knowing their pets are happy, relaxed and well cared for while they’re away. 🐾💕

About: I have owned and cared for a variety of animals since I was a child, including a range of dog breeds from small to large as well as volunteering at a livery yard through my teenage years. I have experience working for a reputable boarding kennels, completed dog first aid and currently working on my level 2 in Canine Care and Welfare I am currently pursuing a career in pet sitting, so will have a lot of availability. Each day/ week is currently different for me therefore I can easily adapt to clients requirements I will only be offering pet sitting services at the owners home, therefore I only need to make sure that the animal feels safe and comfortable with myself. Using my years of experience and knowledge with the owners advice of their animal I will tailor my approach to each situation appropriately.
About: - I have three cats, all of which I have cared for since they were kittens. - I have over five years of cat-raising experience. - During this time, I have helped my cats through giving birth, cared for cats with feline panleukopenia, and have experience administering medication. I am a full-time housewife. Other than taking my child to school and handling daily household chores, I am available to take care of your mother and spend time keeping her company. I prefer to care for pets in my own home because I am a full-time mum and need to look after my child. However, if the job only requires feeding twice a day and cleaning the litter box, I am able to help with that.
“Very impressed with Andrew on the pre-sit visit. A very personable, caring young man. Charlie the cat was well looked after as was the house - quite spotless when we got back! Andrew tried to take photos to send to us but it appears our cat is camera shy! We are more than happy with the reasonably priced service provided and will most certainly book Andrew if we go away again. Great sitter, great service from Rover.”

“Russell was great with Freddie while I was away, took him on big walks and kept him entertained. Have come home to a very happy and sleepy dog! Russell sent updates, pictures and videos throughout and kept in contact so I knew everything was okay. Would definitely recommend Russell and will be using him again in future”

“Hollie was great with Winnie, and sent loads of updates. It was our first time leaving Winnie and we needed someone short notice! Hollie understood Winnie's needs and we felt like Winnie was in great hands, with someone who truly cared about her welfare. We've already booked in extra dates 😄”

About: I have had 3 boxer dogs, all in which towards their old age I took great care of them including medication. I now have a cocker spaniel who has an ear problem so I am used to having to put medicated cream in his ears. I have also for the past year looked after a Jack Russel and a German shepherd. For these dogs I have house sat so I have done all the feeding and walking etc. I have also had experience cat sitting on 2 different occasions, so this opened me up to how to deal with litter trays, different dietary requirements and medication. These experiences have enabled me with many different opportunities to look after dogs and cats of all sizes! I am a qualified supply teacher in primary schools, which means I have a very flexible schedule and also a lot of free time during half terms! Living in Chester means I have easy access to many different bus/train routes so I am very easy accessible. I have experience with all different breeds and ages so I am happy to be looking after animals who need medication, I can also safely put the dogs in their crate, also senior dogs if there is special needs that they need such as aid getting onto their bed. I have house sat on many occasions and never had any problems I always keep in contact with the Owner, happy to send lots of pictures so they are kept updated and if keys are involved always made sure I follow the owners instructions!
“Cannot fault Daz’s service, attention to detail and over all service. He was fantastic with our dogs and they are very hyperactive Staffordshire terriers and he had no difficulties caring and managing them. He was also so respectful of our home as we had him for the week house sitting service while on vacation. Will be using his services for sure again in the near future ! Highly recons his services.”

“Lisa was absolutely fantastic with our dog Bailey. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. Bailey loved his stay, looked completely at home, and we could tell he was truly cared for. The regular updates while we were on holiday meant the world to us. We’d definitely rebook without hesitation.”

“I booked Jiahui for house sitting with Cookie, and she was absolutely brilliant. She came over for a meet & greet beforehand, which immediately made me feel at ease and confident leaving Cookie with her. While I was away, she kept me updated regularly with photos of Cookie looking happy and relaxed. She followed all the care instructions perfectly, including feeding times, walks, and everything else. When I came home, Cookie was clearly well cared for, and the house was spotless — which honestly says it all. Jiahui is clearly very experienced with dogs and extremely responsible. Communication was smooth throughout, and I felt completely comfortable knowing Cookie was in good hands. I would definitely book her again.”

Michelle to the rescue again! She looked after Clement for a couple of days while we were away, stepping in when our main sitter (friend) needed to travel back to her own home to look after another dog. Despite communication from us being minimal / broken due to us travelling and time difference everything was handled brilliantly by Michelle, and all of Clement’s needs were met without us having to worry. From the photos, Clement was thoroughly spoilt yet again and clearly very much enjoyed Michelle’s company. We came home to a very happy, well-looked-after boy. Thank you, Michelle!

This was our first time using Rover. Emma was a fantastic house and pet sitter. She sent regular updates and photos and left the house tidy and exactly how we’d left it. Our cat really bonded with Emma and it was reassuring to know he was in such safe hands. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Emma as a sitter.

We’ve used Jen several times now and can’t recommend her highly enough. She’s incredibly reliable and clearly adores animals - our dogs are always excited to see her! It’s such a relief knowing they’re in safe, caring hands while we’re away. Wouldn’t hesitate to book her again.

Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Tamworth choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
