“Sammie was brilliant, great communication and flexibility. Kept us up to date on Lucy (our rescue greyhound) and sent cute pictures throughout the day. Really considerate and was great with Lucy - highly recommend!”

“Phenomenal. Michelle looked after Clement whilst my husband and I were away, and honestly we couldn’t have asked for more. She kept us updated with all of Clement’s adventures and didn’t just follow the handover notes — she genuinely understood him and what we wanted for him. Whether it was stimulating walks making new doggo friends, cuddles in bed, snores on the sofa, or even sneaking treats off the postie, Michelle listened, observed, and gave Clement the absolute best experience. It was so clear he was not only well cared for, but properly loved. Knowing Clement was happy and settled completely made our holiday. We would trust Michelle again in a heartbeat.”

“This is our first time using Emma and our first time leaving Hugo overnight. Never once did we feel concerned Emma kept us up to date with message updates and plenty of photos. Hugo certainly always looked very content comfortable and had plenty of exercise. We will have no hesitation to use Emma again.a big thank you to Emma”

“Krystal was amazing with my two cats, it was our first time using a cat sitter and I couldn’t have asked for more. She was very attentive and as a worried pet owner really reduced the stress of me being away. She kept us updated through her stay and sent photos too. Would definitely recommend and I will be using her again when I go away.”

“First time we have used Rover and also using Courtney. I have to say Courtney was excellent, she sent photos of the dogs and let us know everything was ok. When we got home everything was clean and tidy and the dogs were happy and had obviously been well cared for. Can’t fault anything. Thanks Courtney”

“Russell was great with Freddie while I was away, took him on big walks and kept him entertained. Have come home to a very happy and sleepy dog! Russell sent updates, pictures and videos throughout and kept in contact so I knew everything was okay. Would definitely recommend Russell and will be using him again in future”

“Orla was amazing with Hugo. She came the night before to complete a meet and greet and answered any questions that we might have. Arrived on time, sent lots of pictures and updates and ensured we had peace of mind whilst Hugo was in her care. Hugo loved spending time with Orla and was very relaxed in her company. Pet owners share their Rover experiences - Tamworth
We were a bit nervous to leave our dog to begin with as she usually stays with family whilst we are away however Russ put us at ease straight away. He did a couple of meet ups beforehand to get to know our dog and he took her out on a walk the day before we left so he wasn’t a stranger in our house. She was really well cared for and we received updates and pictures throughout our trip of the long fun walks they went on. I’m pretty sure she didn’t want us to return and would have happily had him as her new owner. Russ was really respectful of our house and left it clean and tidy. I would happily recommend him to anyone who needs a pet sitter!

We’ve used Jen several times now and can’t recommend her highly enough. She’s incredibly reliable and clearly adores animals - our dogs are always excited to see her! It’s such a relief knowing they’re in safe, caring hands while we’re away. Wouldn’t hesitate to book her again.

As soon as Grace Walked into our house Bella had an instant rapport with her. We found Grace very friendly and we had no worries what so ever about leaving Bella with her. I would recommend Grace to anyone who needs a dog sitter and we will be using her again. Thank you Grace for making our weekend a worry free one.

Holly looked after our two boys overnight and was absolutely brilliant. It was our first time using Rover and Holly made us feel so calm, I left feeling like I trusted her 100%. Holly sent update pics and clearly cared for the dogs like her own. Couldn’t recommend Holly more, we will absolutely be rebooking with her!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Tamworth walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Tamworth choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
