“Highly recommend Sammie. She was great with my 35kg dog with puppy energy and bounciness. She looked after him for a long weekend and did everything from walking, feeding and caring! I came back to a happy, well walked dog and a clean house! Thank you”

“Lesley is a genuine 5-star dog sitter, and we 100% recommend her. She is incredibly patient and has a wonderful way of helping dogs feel calm and reassured, especially those who can become nervous, anxious, or overexcited when their owners leave. She takes the time to build trust, allowing each dog to settle at their own pace. As a highly experienced dog owner and PAT dog handler, Lesley understands dog behaviour and knows how to adapt to each dog's individual personality and needs. It's clear that she genuinely cares about the dogs she looks after, and that comes across in everything she does. If you're looking for someone who will treat your dog with kindness, patience, and understanding, you won't find many better. Whether your dog is confident or needs a little extra reassurance, you can leave them with Lesley knowing they'll be in safe, caring hands. A truly 5-star sitter, and someone we would recommend without hesitation.”

About: I am a zoology and conservation student at Bangor university and I have worked in 2 different businesses revolved around dogs: greyhounds daybreaks and doggy daycare. The greyhounds daybreaks required me to take care of the dogs that were in the establishment by walking them, feeding them, bathing them and playing with them. There would be the same dogs there for weeks as people would drop them off when they’ve gone on holiday so I was able to connect with them very well. I worked there for 2 years starting off there for my DofE but I carried it on after completion. The other experience I have at doggy daycare was when I completed 150 hours of work experience for my college animal management course. At Doggy Daycare I would look after a variety of dog breeds all day making sure they were safe, bathed and fed if they needed to be. I have a passion for animals especially dogs and have lots of experience. I am currently working part time at a restaurant called willow and back from university for the summer so I have plenty of time to take care of your dogs! I have experience taking care of dogs and knowledge of their behaviours to create a safe environment for them. I will also listen to how you want me to take care of them in detail.

“Our first time using Emily’s service, lovely lady. Rosie took to her instantly & we were vey comfortable leaving Emily in charge of Rosie and the house. Rosie was very happy to stay with her & enjoyed lots of cuddles & walks. Rosie is looking forward to seeing Emily again soon when we head off for our main holiday. Would highly recommend.”

About: I’ve always felt most at home around animals, their unconditional love and trust make them the best companions. My earliest memories are of horses in my family’s stables in South Africa and volunteering at a local rescue centre in Birmingham. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of animals, from big cats and zebras at a wildlife rehabilitation centre in South Africa to countless rescue pets, each with their own personality. There’s nothing quite like the moment an animal begins to trust you—it’s incredibly special. My beloved husky, Meeka (who appears in some of my photos), passed away recently, and I would be so grateful for the chance to spend time with your furry friends. I have just graduated from central saint martins and am excited to start a new role in september, so i have a lot of free time on my hands. i take pride in understanding the body language of any animal, after years of being in their company, communication becomes second nature as all living things I’ve found communicate in similar ways. I pride myself in the ability of clear communication and hence an apt accommodation of their needs.

About: Hi! I’m Emily, a personable dog and cat sitter based in Birmingham. Alongside my love for all animals, I have had experience taking care of both dogs and cats through family friends and will try my best to give your sweet pets the best experience. I have experience in daycare and overnight stays and I would be happy to introduce dog walking. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions - so excited to start taking care of your beloved pets! 🐾 I’m currently a university student, so during the summer I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of availability for pet care. This means I can give your pet lots of attention, exercise, playtime and companionship throughout the day. During term time, I’ll continue to keep my calendar updated so owners always know my availability! I understand that inviting someone into your home and trusting them with your pet is a big decision. Your pet’s safety, comfort and happiness will always be my top priority. I’m happy to arrange a meet-and-greet before any booking so both you and your pet can get to know me and make sure everyone feels comfortable. Every dog is different, so I believe it’s important to build that trust before you’re away. I’ll follow your dog’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medication and any specific care instructions. I’ll also send regular photo and message updates throughout your time away, so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and your home is being treated with the utmost respect.

About: Hi, my names Lauren and I have a lot of experience with dogs. From having dogs of my own from the age of 4, I've learnt how special and important they are to people and why they need the best care. As well as having my own dogs, I've also volunteered at Bark Doggy Day Care in Walmley. This helped me learn the different needs and assets of different dog breeds. With the variety of age at Bark, I have experience with young, old and medium age dogs. Due to my own dogs too, I have experience with large and smaller dogs aswell. I currently work 2 days a week in Birmingham City centre. This allows me to have a wider availability of 5 days to give your pets more of my attention. However, i can still sit on those 2 days but I'd have to leave and come back for work! Before my visit/walk, I will always ask to meet your pet first in order to get to know them and to learn what type of care they need and how often. For example, their house rules, medicine or walks. This is to make me fully understand how to care for your dog whilst I have them in order to give them a better experience.
About: I've pet sit for my friend's dogs, they come for "Auntie Emily Visits" and now I'd like to meet more dogs and help others! I've experience with nervous dogs and social butterflies too I love all animals but can't commit to full time ownership yet. I live in a top floor flat, pets welcome on the furniture (if you allow it too). There's a communal garden for quick "business" walks if needed but I tend to do lots of walking with the dogs throughout the day. So active dogs welcome but older dogs are too. I can take a more restful approach too if needed. I live next door to Sutton Park and adore exploring it, even more so with a dog in hand! Because of how big and busy the park can be, id walk your dog on lead for both of our peace of mind. I'm looking to help you out mostly at weekends. Long weekends would work as I regularly work from home Mondays and Fridays (although this is somewhat flexible for irregular requirements). I love being out walking so companions are welcome I'm very attentive and ensure your pet is given all the attention they need. They're welcome on the furniture if you allow it too, my home is there hotel! Lead is always ready for a business (toilet walk)
“What a find! Alessio is so loving, caring and has a really calming influence. He dog sat in our home for the weekend and we had total confidence in him. Our lovely boy Bosley had the best time ever, with frequent walks and lots of cuddles. Alessio sent frequent updates throughout the time and we feel that we have really struck lucky. Thank you Alessio x”

About: I am a final-year BSc (Hons) Animal Behaviour & Welfare student, with my degree expected in the next few months. Through my studies, I have developed a strong understanding of animal behaviour, welfare, handling, enrichment, and the importance of building trust with animals at their own pace. I am confident caring for pets with different personalities, routines, and needs, and I always aim to provide calm, reliable, and compassionate care. I understand how important it is for owners to feel reassured while they are away, so I will follow your instructions carefully, and provide updates. I am currently a student finishing my last exam so pretty flexible. I can adjust to timings if needed by owners, usually if it's a walk at night I would prefer a bigger dog. My passion for animals drives me to provide loving, responsible, and attentive dog services, ensuring each pet feels safe and happy during our time together. As I work part-time, I provide pet care on weekends and 9am -2pm during weekdays, including feeding, walking, and playing, ensuring pets are happy and well-cared for around my schedule. When caring for pets in a pet owner's home, I ensure they receive proper feeding, fresh water, and companionship. I also follow any specific instructions provided by the owner to ensure the pet's safety and well-being during walks.
About: I have had pets since the age of 7, starting with a rabbit called Snowflake! I have always had dogs in the family and had a working cocker spaniel called Toby whilst I was growing up, who I trained myself! Myself and my partner started small with a hamster, but we now have our pampered Poochon Maisie. I have administered medication to dogs, so this isn't something that phases me, if your pup needs it! My prices are low because I want to be accessible for people, especially when kennel and doggy day care prices can be so expensive! I am currently flexible in the week and have weekend availability! Whether you just need someone to pop in and take them for a walk or go and sit with them for a few hours. I am happy to crate your dog if necessary. I also have a friendly poochon called Maisie who would love to make friends, however the 2 can be kept separate if preferred. With Sutton park on my doorstep, I can give your dog the exercise it needs!

Pet owners share their Rover experiences - Little Sutton
Sammi was absolutely lovely and took such good care of Bella and Beau while we were away. I was a little nervous as it was my first time having someone house sit with the dogs, but I really didn’t need to be! She kept me updated throughout with messages and lots of photos, and always checked with me if she was unsure about anything. It was such a hot week as well and she was really thoughtful with the dogs, keeping them cool and making sure she walked them at cooler times of the day. We came home to two very happy dogs and I wouldn’t hesitate to have Sammi look after them again. Thank you so much 😊🐾
