Safety, trust & environment

Safety, trust & environment: I will always provide as much love and care for the pets I look after as possible. I ensure they are never left on their own and make sure there is nothing left anywhere that could be a danger to the pets I look after. My house is pet proof! I will ensure to take all exercise and dietary needs into account when house / pet sitting.

Information Georgina B. would like to know about your pet

Information ahead of time: Any adjustments I need to make e.g. specific place they like to sleep in the house, any specific treats or toys they love/prefer! I do have friends who have dogs so please let me know if you would like me to arrange for your dog to make some new friends and I will ensure to do this and send bestie updates! Equally if you could let me know how they are on walks, when they meet other dogs just so I know what to expect that would be really useful. Thank you for reading my profile and I look forward to hearing from you! Please reach out with any questions you might have :)

A typical day

A typical day: Dog Sitting - I like to walk, a lot! Typically I would do between 2-3 walks a day depending on the breed and what each specific dog is used to. If they are of good health and like a walk I would take them round the block in the morning and then a big walk 1-3 hours midday/afternoon and then another short walk in the evening. However this is always changing due to what types of dog I look after and always take into account what they are used to rather than going overboard. If I am looking after an older dog(s), I ensure they get the rest they need and shorter walks if they require.

Walmley based dog sitter!

Pet care experience

Hi! I'm Gina, a 31-year-old animal lover based in Walmley, Sutton Coldfield. I’m happy to travel to look after your pets, no matter what furry (or scaly) friends you have! I’ve been on Rover for over four years and have had the privilege of caring for all kinds of animals—dogs, cats (from kitten to senior), fish, and even tortoise! Whether it’s a playful puppy, a senior dog who just wants a comfy spot, or a cat who thinks they run the show, I’ll give each pet the attention and care they need. I’ve also worked with anxious rescue dogs and retired police dogs, so I’m used to pets who have their own unique personalities. Plus, I’m comfortable giving medication and following any special dietary needs your pets may have. In July 2024, I lost my beloved Welsh Terrier, Gordon Bennett, after 15 wonderful years together. Gordon was a true Houdini escape artist—he loved to dig and find ways out of the garden. That’s why my current garden is fully fenced and secure, to keep any escape-prone pets safe while they play and explore. Since Gordon passed, it’s been really important for me to be around more pets—they bring me so much joy, and I truly miss having a furry friend in my life. I was lucky enough to move to Australia in September 2024, where I got to explore the East Coast before settling down in Brisbane. Even while living abroad, I kept up with my passion for pet care and continued pet sitting through MadPaws. I got the opportunity to look after an Australian Shepherd for a month and a half over Christmas and New Year 2024! After returning to Birmingham on January 15, 2025, I spent a bit of time settling back into life in the UK and looked after many dogs and cats before starting back at my previous role in Solihull in March, 2025. My schedule is flexible, with evenings, and weekends available to look after your pets. Easter 2025, I had the pleasure of caring for four dogs, two tortoises and two cats - so I’m comfortable with all types of pets. Whether it’s dog walking, check-ins, or overnight stays, I’m here to help make sure your pet is happy and well cared for while you’re away. My radius is pretty wide, and I don’t mind staying in a new area if that makes your pet more comfortable! I’d love to know more about your pet’s favorite treats, toys, quirks, and any special care they might need. My goal is to make sure they feel comfortable and loved while you’re gone, and I’m happy to accommodate any needs they have. If you have any questions or would like to arrange a meet-and-greet, feel free to reach out. I'm available on weekends and evenings for a no-pressure meet-and-greet, so we can chat and see if I'd be a good fit for your pet. Looking forward to hearing from you!

Where do I even start?! 🥹💕 We honestly couldn’t recommend Gina enough!! 🐶🐾💖 Gina recently looked after our babies, Athena & Bo, while we were away on a family holiday to Rhodes for 10 days ☀️🇬🇷. It was the longest we’ve ever left them, so of course we were a little anxious, but from the moment we left we knew they were in the safest hands. She made it so easy for us to completely switch off and enjoy our holiday knowing our two were being loved just as much as they are at home. 🥹❤️ Gina is the most kind, caring and genuine dog lover, and she treats Athena & Bo like they’re her own. They absolutely adore her (I think she’s secretly their favourite person 🤭💕) and seeing how excited they are with her says it all. She spoilt them with so much love, cuddles, treats and attention, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for more. 🐶💗🐾 She kept us updated every single day with lovely messages and photos, which we looked forward to so much 🥰📸. We were also away during the heatwave, and Gina went above and beyond to keep them safe, even getting up at 5am for walks before it got too hot. That level of care is just incredible. ☀️❤️ She stayed in our home and left it absolutely spotless ✨🏡, and even surprised us with the sweetest little welcome home hamper. It was such a thoughtful touch and just shows the kind of lovely person she is. 🎀💐 Gina honestly feels more like a friend than just a dog sitter, and we trust her with our whole hearts. 💖 We know Athena & Bo love her just as much as we do, and we wouldn’t choose anyone else. Thank you for taking such amazing care of our babies - we’re so lucky to have found you! 🥹🐾🌸💕
