About: I am a zoology and conservation student at Bangor university and I have worked in 2 different businesses revolved around dogs: greyhounds daybreaks and doggy daycare. The greyhounds daybreaks required me to take care of the dogs that were in the establishment by walking them, feeding them, bathing them and playing with them. There would be the same dogs there for weeks as people would drop them off when they’ve gone on holiday so I was able to connect with them very well. I worked there for 2 years starting off there for my DofE but I carried it on after completion. The other experience I have at doggy daycare was when I completed 150 hours of work experience for my college animal management course. At Doggy Daycare I would look after a variety of dog breeds all day making sure they were safe, bathed and fed if they needed to be. I have a passion for animals especially dogs and have lots of experience. I am currently working part time at a restaurant called willow and back from university for the summer so I have plenty of time to take care of your dogs! I have experience taking care of dogs and knowledge of their behaviours to create a safe environment for them. I will also listen to how you want me to take care of them in detail.

About: I’m an experienced dog owner and carer, and my own German Shepherd Dog is a certified Pets As Therapy dog, which reflects a calm, responsible, and reliable approach to animal care. I’m comfortable following detailed instructions, maintaining routines, and communicating clearly with owners. Additionally, I also have many years of experience caring for and managing multiple rental and holiday properties, including overseeing maintenance, security, and day-to-day responsibilities. House sitting suits my lifestyle well. I work largely from home as a children’s author, which means I’m present throughout the day and able to give pets consistent attention. I enjoy quiet, settled environments, long walks, and spending time in nature, which makes caring for dogs especially rewarding. NOTE: With stays longer than three nights, I will need to bring my well-behaved German Shepherd. He gets on with other dogs, but if your dog does not, then I am not the right fit for stays longer than three days. I care for pets in a calm, secure, and familiar way, always following the owner’s instructions and the pet’s usual routine. Whether in my home or a pet owner’s home, I focus on creating a relaxed environment where pets feel safe, settled, and well cared for. Safety is always a priority. I’m careful with doors, gates, leads, and outdoor access, and I only introduce dogs to new environments or other animals gradually and sensibly. Walks, play, feeding, and rest are tailored to each pet’s needs, age, and energy level. I take trust very seriously. I’m DBS checked through my work with schools, and I can also supply a letter-headed solicitor’s reference from the Principal of a law firm who has known me professionally since 2009. I treat every home and pet with respect, confidentiality, and care, and aim to give owners complete peace of mind.

“Alessio was great. It was my first time using Rover to look for someone for our dogs (I’m usually a sitter/walker myself) and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him. He took the time to meet my dogs beforehand and put me at ease straight away. My dogs are very large and this did not phase him. About: I have previously loved looked after many types of dogs for long periods of time whilst friends and family have been on holidays! As a family, we used to have a Yorkshire terrier (as you can see in the photos) who lived a happy and long life until she sadly passed away last year. I am well experienced with handling dogs needs having owned one previously and having many opportunities to look after them. I often enjoy long walks and runs so I can ensure that your pets will be well entertained!! :))) I am currently a university student finished for the summer! I have a fully flexible schedule so please don’t hesitate to ask if you would like to book at awkward times! I have a large fenced back garden. However, if you have a large dog a bed may need to be provided as I only have a small bed and blankets!!

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over six years and currently share my home with a lovely Border Collie who loves making new friends. I understand what active dogs need — plenty of walks, playtime, and patience! I don’t take cats, so it’s a relaxed, dog-only environment where your pup can feel right at home. Since I’m home most of the time, walks and care easily fit into my daily routine. I take the dogs out three times a day — morning, midday, and evening — and make sure they get enough exercise and fresh air. I’m flexible with timings for drop-offs and pick-ups too. About: I have had lots of experience looking after dogs. I worked at my local vets when I was younger. Until very recently I had my own beautiful smooth collie Belle. who sadly went over the rainbow 🌈 at 13 1/2 years old. I miss her so much and miss all the walks we had over the years. I would now love to be able to take care for dogs that need a bit more attention and maybe longer walks. I have plenty of time to offer as I am officially retired now. I have experience with older dogs and happy to have the challenge of a puppy too. I am very much of the opinion that all dogs need a routine and I am willing to offer this and will keep to the owners instructions as requested. I can now look after dogs to suit any dog owners requirements. I am completely flexible and as I am retired. I can start early or finish later whatever is needed. I can now offer a tranquil space at my house which offers lots of open spaces, including open fields. I do have a secure large garden on offer, where dogs can run freely and in a safe environment. There is also lots of outside space around my house. Local walks could include Sutton Park but there are lots of other quieter walks around. I will always make sure they have meals at the allotted time, fresh water on hand. Grooming as required. I am happy to administer any medication if required. Mainly keeping the doggies happy and content whilst they are on holiday just like those owners.

About: Hi, my names Lauren and I have a lot of experience with dogs. From having dogs of my own from the age of 4, I've learnt how special and important they are to people and why they need the best care. As well as having my own dogs, I've also volunteered at Bark Doggy Day Care in Walmley. This helped me learn the different needs and assets of different dog breeds. With the variety of age at Bark, I have experience with young, old and medium age dogs. Due to my own dogs too, I have experience with large and smaller dogs aswell. I currently work 2 days a week in Birmingham City centre. This allows me to have a wider availability of 5 days to give your pets more of my attention. However, i can still sit on those 2 days but I'd have to leave and come back for work! Before my visit/walk, I will always ask to meet your pet first in order to get to know them and to learn what type of care they need and how often. For example, their house rules, medicine or walks. This is to make me fully understand how to care for your dog whilst I have them in order to give them a better experience.

About: I’ve always felt most at home around animals, their unconditional love and trust make them the best companions. My earliest memories are of horses in my family’s stables in South Africa and volunteering at a local rescue centre in Birmingham. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of animals, from big cats and zebras at a wildlife rehabilitation centre in South Africa to countless rescue pets, each with their own personality. There’s nothing quite like the moment an animal begins to trust you—it’s incredibly special. My beloved husky, Meeka (who appears in some of my photos), passed away recently, and I would be so grateful for the chance to spend time with your furry friends. I have just graduated from central saint martins and am excited to start a new role in september, so i have a lot of free time on my hands. i take pride in understanding the body language of any animal, after years of being in their company, communication becomes second nature as all living things I’ve found communicate in similar ways. I pride myself in the ability of clear communication and hence an apt accommodation of their needs.
