About: I have experience caring for a wide range of pets. I’ve previously had a dog, two rabbits, two hamsters and a pet hedgehog, and I currently have a cat who is almost six years old. I also have experience looking after friends’ dogs. Having cared for different types of animals, I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine and needs. I’m patient, gentle and attentive, and I always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable and well cared for. I’m happy to care for dogs, cats and small pets, and I’m particularly comfortable with rabbits, hamsters and other small animals. I’m also happy to keep owners updated with photos, videos and messages while they’re away. I have a flexible schedule and can fit pet care around my daily routine. I’m generally available during the day and can adjust my availability depending on my schedule. I’m happy to discuss specific dates and times with owners in advance. I also keep my Rover calendar up to date, so my availability is clear and I only accept bookings when I know I can give each pet the time and attention they deserve. The safety and wellbeing of every pet is my priority. I always follow the owner’s instructions and make sure pets are comfortable with me and their surroundings. For walks, I take care to keep dogs safe and follow their usual walking routine. For drop-in visits, I make sure pets have fresh water, food and a clean, comfortable environment, and I’m attentive to any changes in their behaviour or wellbeing. I understand that being cared for by someone new can be stressful for some pets, so I’m patient and give them time to feel comfortable. I’ll also keep owners updated with photos and messages during each visit so they know how their pet is doing.

I’ll make sure your dog gets plenty of attention, walks, playtime and cuddles while you’re away, and I’ll always treat them like my own. I work from home Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5pm, so I’m around throughout the day. I can provide regular attention, toilet breaks and company, with walks before or after work and plenty of time for longer walks and play in the evenings and at weekends. I understand how important it is to feel confident leaving your dog with someone you trust. I have had dogs all my life and will provide a calm, safe and caring environment. As I work from home, your dog will have plenty of company and attention throughout the day.
“Sylvia did a great job. Thank you so much for taking my wee boy for a walk. Booked in last minute and she reply in few minutes. Highly recommend Sylvia. She provide pictures and tracking so I know exactly where my dog is :) I will use her service again in the future. Monica.”

About: I'm doing this for one simple reason: I genuinely, deeply love being around furry friends! Cats have always had my heart. I have my own sweet Indie cat back home in India named Nanni, which translates to little one, who I miss terribly every day. But when my girlfriend brought her two Golden Retrievers into my life, they completely won me over and showed me just how incredible dogs are, too. Now I'm totally hooked on both! I know your furry kids aren't just pets, they're family. Whether it's going for long tail-wagging walks, playing around, or just sitting together so they don't feel lonely while you're away, I'll treat them with the exact same warmth, patience, and affection I give my own. Your furry kids will always be safe, loved, and spoiled with attention with me. Because I work part-time, my schedule gives me plenty of flexibility to give your furry friends all the attention they need! I'm completely free every day from early morning until 4 PM, which is perfect for morning walks, breakfast drop-ins, or mid-day play sessions. I also have full days off each week, so I can offer dedicated, full-day care and spend extended quality time keeping your furry kids safe, happy, and cozy while you're away. Safety and trust mean the world to me. Whether I'm caring for your furry kids in your home or out on walks, I treat your routine with complete respect. I double-check doors, gates, and leashes to keep them totally secure, strictly follow your feeding and care instructions, and make sure they feel calm, loved, and completely safe every second I'm with them!

About: I have spent my life surrounded by animals, and I cannot imagine it any other way. Over the years I have cared for dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, parrots, turtles, fish, sheep, and many others. Each one has taught me something new, and that range of experience has made me a calm, observant, and adaptable carer. I have a particular soft spot for dogs. I see them as gentle, loyal little companions who give so much love so freely, and I believe they deserve to be cared for with patience, respect, and genuine attention. Because animals cannot use words, I pay close attention to their behaviour, body language, habits, and small changes in mood. To me, this is how real trust is built. A formative experience for me was caring for a rescue Corgi who had a limb amputation. Over two years with her, I came to understand how much consistency, gentle handling, and emotional reassurance can mean to an animal who has been through difficulty. I never consider myself an expert, because every animal continues to teach me more. I currently share my home with two cats, and I have experience with small and exotic pets, including a wonderfully long-lived hamster. I am comfortable following detailed feeding routines, keeping food and litter areas clean, giving medication when needed, and sending regular photo updates so you can feel reassured while you are away. What matters most to me is simple: your pet should feel safe, loved, and understood. I have a flexible schedule and can adapt to your pet’s routine. I’m available for both short-term and long-term care—feel free to get in touch anytime. I maintain a calm, clean environment, follow routines carefully, monitor behavior, and provide updates. In owners’ homes, I respect their space and pets’ familiar habits.
“Ben was lovely and provided updates on every walk to me and planned each day with my mom. It was a difficult week due to the weather but Olive enjoyed her walks and I was pleased she could get out with Ben”

About: I was around dogs and cats since I was 4. Over time developed strong passion and deep understanding of their mood. Big part of my childhood summers spent with dogs at my grandparents house. I was caring about a lot of cats and walked some of them on backyards. Overall had experience with different pets - my own, family’s and friend’s My studying year in university ended and I don’t have other job at the moment, so I have a lot of time to care and play with your dogs or cats at any time Since I will be standing in your home, your pet will be relaxed, feeling safe and comfortable in their familiar territory. Can give attention or space depending on their mood and personality

About: I’ve been around dogs all my life and have always felt very comfortable caring for them. I grew up with a Chow Chow, and dogs have been a big part of my wider family life too. Over the past year, I’ve also gained extensive hands-on experience through BorrowMyDoggy, where I developed a lovely long-term relationship with one particular dog. I regularly looked after her for full days twice a week while her owners were at work, took her on long walks, and cared for her overnight for stays of up to three days. This gave me experience not just with walking, but with getting to know a dog’s individual personality and routine, providing attentive care throughout the day, and building a relationship based on trust. I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs and am comfortable building a relationship with them over time, rather than seeing dog walking simply as a job. I’m calm, attentive and responsible, and I really enjoy being outdoors and giving dogs the exercise, companionship and care they need. I’m currently in a career transition, with my time split between occasional yoga teaching and independent work and study. This means I generally spend a lot of time at home and have good flexibility during the week. From January, I’ll be starting a master’s degree in physiotherapy. The beginning of the week will be more structured with lectures and practical sessions, while the rest of my week will involve a significant amount of independent study, so I’ll continue to have flexibility for dog walking and care around my timetable. I particularly enjoy having dogs as part of my day — getting outside for walks gives me a lovely break from working or studying at home. I’m happy to work around a dog’s usual routine and can discuss regular or occasional care depending on my availability. I like to give dogs a calm, homely experience and adapt to their individual personality and routine. From my experience caring for a dog through BorrowMyDoggy, I’ve found that a good balance of exercise, play, food, companionship and plenty of time to relax works really well. We would usually start with a good walk, followed by food and some playtime, and then settle into a quieter part of the day. I work and study from home quite a lot, so I’m very happy to have a dog keeping me company while they relax — whether that’s sleeping beside me while I work, having a cuddle, or simply settling somewhere comfortable nearby. I also have a terrace which the dog I currently care for uses for toilet breaks, which is particularly convenient in the city-centre setting. Of course, this would be in addition to regular walks and outdoor exercise, rather than replacing them. Most importantly, I take the time to understand each dog’s individual needs and routine, and I want them to feel safe, comfortable and cared for while they’re with me.
“We were absolutely delighted with Samiksha’s dog-sitting service. She was incredibly kind and went out of her way to come and meet us at the hotel where we were staying on holiday, while we attended a concert on Friday evening. She was punctual, flexible and absolutely lovely with our dog. She took Salty for a walk, kept him company and looked after him beautifully throughout the evening. She was also very respectful and careful with him in the hotel, both in the lounge and in our room. We felt completely reassured knowing he was in such caring and capable hands. We would definitely recommend Samiksha and would happily ask her to look after our dog again. Thank you so much! 🐾❤️”

Review We used Rachel for the first time while we were away on holiday for a week, and I honestly couldn’t have been happier with the service she provided. As we’d never used a dog walker before, I was a little nervous about leaving our one-year-old Golden Retriever, Gary, but Rachel was fantastic from the very beginning. I contacted her quite last minute, and she was incredibly responsive and arranged to meet us beforehand, which immediately put my mind at ease. Throughout the week, Rachel kept me updated, sent photos from the walks and was always accessible. Gary absolutely loved his walks and it was so lovely knowing he was getting plenty of stimulation and attention while we were away. Rachel also kindly let our other dog out into the garden. He’s much more shy and anxious, so I really appreciated her taking the time to accommodate both of their different personalities and needs. I’m genuinely so pleased with the care Rachel gave them. She was reliable, thoughtful and clearly really cares about the dogs she looks after. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her and will definitely be using her again. Thank you so much, Rachel! ☺️

Ben is very professional and was fantastic with our high-energy teenage lurcher Onyx - who warmed to Ben immediately when we met. Ben asked all the right questions and genuinely wanted to get to know Onyx, learn about his behaviour, understand his normal routine. He gave me some great tips too! I'm really glad to have found Ben on Rover, he's very friendly, genuine and communicative. And I've already booked more services

Ceri helped out at very short notice and maged to research the area. She turned up when agreed and took our dog on two lovely walks. Our dog Seamus seemed to have a lovely time in the photos taken on the walk and feedback from Ceri. She was a delight and I would definitely use her again.
Patricia has cared for my fur baby for around a year, providing day care and holiday care. My baby adores going there and I know she is safe and cared for. Patricia is warm, friendly and caring and follows my dogs needs to tee. Long walks, adventures, love and lots of snuggles are always given. Even camp outs when my baby sleeps over. I honestly cannot recommend her highly enough. Patricia goes above and beyond and is extremely well priced.

Tanakrit was excellent! I was a little late with Daisy, which he took in his stride. He coped with her well, she seemed very happy when he bought her back and he understood her needs - he even bought his own poo bags! I would definitely use him again. Rob Davies
